  • Lion Server and PHP

    Hello.
    Got Lion. Got Server. Web Server Started with PHP.
    Where do I have to put my info.php page to have PHP code processed?

    SOLVED ! I found two ways in order to hit this problem:
    it's the way of CRLF
    1. PHP scripts here doesn't like the  \n\r  nor PHP_EOL  , when using the header only with \n only it's works fine!
    then sned mail in PHP.INI  can be sendmail_path = sendmail -t- i
    2. the quick and dirty way to solve the problem for other scripts that you already have :  that use \n\r
    change in PHP.ini
    sendmail_path = "cat $1 | tr -d  '\r'|sendmail -t -i"
    I still wonder why on other Linux machines like debian it fine ?

  • OS X server 4.0.3 and php

    Hey, i have a problem with my websites. I cleanly installed OS X 10.10.2 and clean server 4.0.3 and php is just not working.
    When i turn php off, the page showed the text that is in the file, so thats correct... when i turn php on in the server app the page just is blank...
    When testing i tried a few things but nothing changed anything. I am using the included info.php file in the website root.
    Can anyone help me fix this?
    thanks, sander

    A couple of things:
    Server uses a different set of apache configuration files. The Server.app GUI has a slider to turn php on and off. There's also the option of hand editing the files under /Library/Server/Web/Configuration/apache2
    Looks like you using "short tags." which the php.ini file in place has probably defaulted to not using.
    Try <?php
    as your opening tag rather than
    <?

  • Java SOAP and PHP server

    HI all, I have the follow problem:
    I have created a SOAP server with PHP. The client connection with PHP and with generated local classes for Java, with java.apache.axis.wsdl.WSDL2Java, is working very well and I don't have problems with this.
    But now I try to use my API with the normal calls from JAVA with the direct Call without local classes:
    Here are any sniplets:
    My Method in the wsdl file:
    - <xsd:complexType name="MyMethodRequest">
    - <xsd:all>
    <xsd:element name="username" type="xsd:string" />
    <xsd:element name="password" type="xsd:string" />
    <xsd:element name="partnerid" type="xsd:int" />
    <xsd:element name="signkey" type="xsd:string" />
    </xsd:all>
    </xsd:complexType>
    - <operation name="MyMethod">
    <soap:operation soapAction="urn:MyURN#MyMethod" style="rpc" />
    - <input>
    <soap:body use="encoded" namespace="urn:MyURN" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" />
    </input>
    - <output>
    <soap:body use="encoded" namespace="urn:MyURN" encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" />
    </output>
    </operation>
    The definition in the PHP file look like this:
    $server->wsdl->addComplexType(
    'MyMethodRequest',
    'complexType',
    'struct',
    'all',
    array(
    'username' => array('name' => 'username', 'type' => 'xsd:string'),
              'password' => array('name' => 'password', 'type' => 'xsd:string'),
              'partnerid' => array('name' => 'partnerid', 'type' => 'xsd:int'),
    'signkey' => array('name' => 'signkey', 'type' => 'xsd:string')
    The server function is recieving an array with all this paramethers:
    function MyFunktion($member)
    // do anything
    Also the Java code:
    String method = "MyMethod";
    Object[] member = new Object[] {username, password, partnerid, signkey};
    Service service = new Service();
    Call call = (Call) service.createCall();
    call.setTargetEndpointAddress( new java.net.URL(endpoint) );
    call.setOperationName(new QName("urn:MyURN", method));
    call.setSOAPActionURI("urn:MyURN#MyMethod");
    call.setUseSOAPAction(true);
    call.addParameter( "member", XMLType.SOAP_ARRAY, ParameterMode.IN );
    call.setReturnType( XMLType.XSD_BOOLEAN );
    Object[] params = new Object[] {member};
    Boolean ret = (Boolean) call.invoke(params);
    System.err.print(" " + ret);
    System.err.println();
    I compile the class and when I start it, I don't send any data to the server, but why??? What do I made false? The server don't gives an error, but he dont recieve any data from me!
    Thanks for every help:-)
    Best Regards
    Nik

  • Local SWF vs Server Side SWF and PHP

    I am having the strangest problem... I have a form in Flash
    where I use the sendAndLoad () function to communicate with a PHP
    file, that then sends an email with the loaded data. The action
    works fine when I run the SWF from my Mac to the server side PHP
    file using an absolute address. But it doesn't work when the SWF is
    on the server, again running an absolute path to the PHP file.
    Has anyone experienced this issue before? Is it a problem
    with security?
    Thanks,
    g

    Hi David
    If an online converter suits you, try Flabaco - www.flash-banner-converter.com
    It converts SWF to Video, generating three formats - MP4, OGG and WebM.

  • Can I manage custom builds of Apache and PHP with Server Admin?

    Okay, here's the deal: I have a shiny new Xserver Xeon with Leopard Server installed. I see that it comes with a number of programs that I'll need, preinstalled, but for various reasons (extensions and modules for PHP, Apache, and the like), I may need to roll my own builds of several of these programs and libraries. In this case, the main thing I'm concerned with is recompiling Apache and PHP.
    My question is, can I do this and still manage those tools from Server Admin? I'm not averse to doing it on the command line if need be, but I'd just as soon not have to, if I have Server Admin. So, what would I need to do to make sure that I can still use Server Admin with a custom PHP and Apache?

    My main interest is in using Wiki Server with the custom Apache and PHP builds. Since that's managed through Server Admin, I figured it would be best to try and integrate with the Apple tools.
    Apache I could maybe get by without a rebuild, but there are definitely PHP modules I need which the default build does not come with.

  • Server Side Includes and php

    I have php forms on a site update.  I want to use a server side include to keep the dynamic menu off the template.  The include works on the home page and other .shtm pages, but not on the php.  This can't be impossible.  What's the hint?  I can't (or can I) save the php as .shtm. and the thread will not allow any of the file types to be attached.  Ergo ... the link:http://shrhabitat.org/index09.shtm, the include: http://shrhabitat.org/includes/hfhshrmenu.lbw, the contact form: http://shrhabitat.org/contactus.php
    don Carlos de la Playa

    Alrighty then,  What I did was add both html and php include code to the template.  It seems to work without duplication.  For the experts in the crowd, will this blow up in my face someday?  As near as I can tell, I just need to ensure that any changes are made to both files which, after all, clones of one another.
    Ya'll have a fine Virginia day, now. Y'hear?

  • Local Testing server and htdocs

    So I have set up apache/php with virtual servers and I'm
    using DW8.
    I may have terminology errors below. Correct me where I'm
    wrong please.
    Example site directory C:/apache/htdocs/site.com/
    The web directory is: C:/apache/htdocs/site.com/htdocs
    however there are other important files hiden below this
    rebroot in "site.com/application" for example
    My work diretory is C:/somewhere else/site.com. While
    developing, I just set the testing server as my webserver and
    posted everything to preview, but know I want to include the
    production server, and try to use my local testing setup correctly.
    I use DW to ftp and edit the site files, including those
    below the webroot, so is set my directories to allow access to
    those files. My annoyance is that when I preview my site it tries
    to pull up the homepage as www.site.dev/htdocs/index.php
    (I use dev to distinguish the local testing server)
    Can I resolve this problem, or can someone explain how to
    effecttively manage your workdirectory, testingserver and
    production server from one DW site? At the moment I'm using two DW
    sites to manage for now.

    Thank you for your answers.

    First, this is very possible depending on your theme.  Some of the dyanmic effects in themes use javascript files from the JQuery library as well as other javascript libraries.  Because of this it may not be possible to edit all files.
    How do you think I could check this is true ? I think I need all the files if I wish to edit the theme. Would copying all the remote files locally help clearing this in any way ?
    SnakEyez02 wrote:
    This sounds like a path issue in the code.  I would check there to make sure the path is correct.  Otherwise we would need to see the code.
    I don't know how to check this. When inspecting the page with Live Code, I don't know which html file Dw is showing me on the left. No filename has that grey background like it's pushed... Plus, I don't understand why the path would have changed, since I didn't mess with the code (yet) ?
    SnakEyez02 wrote:
    I have found this to appear when you have friendly/pretty-URLs or mod-rewrite turned on.  In the WordPress web admin, go to Settings->Permalinks and choose the default with the ?p=123 setting.  DW is currently unable to process the rewriting of URLs and it will only recognize the un-SEO-friendly way of reading URLs.
    Ok now I don't understand. When I go to http://localhost/mysite/wp-admin, it shows me the WP logo,
    No Upgrade Required
    Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!
    And a big "continue" button, all of which on the original site (the url is http://www.mysite.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2F). Pressing the button gets me to http://www.mysite.com/.
    Is that because I imported the database from the live site ? I don't know what I did to get that, I used to get to the local WP installation. Could that be a bad database setup ?
    Any idea ?
    Again, thank you a lot for helping me out here !

  • How to set up a FTP and web server and integrate with DMM 5.2

    Hi All ...
    I need to set up a external server only for content publishing to reduce the overhead of the DMM server .
    can anyone guide me on how to set up the external server and intergrate it with the DMM 5.2
    Thanks

    semuthu,
    Notes from the Release Notes:
    Compatibility Limitations with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
    DMPs that use firmware release 5.2 are compatible with only one version of Microsoft Internet Information Server.
    That supported version is IIS 6.0 for Windows 2003 Enterprise. If you do not have the supported IIS version but
    want your DMPs to retrieve assets from a webserver, we recommend that you use Apache instead of IIS.
    I would suggest using Apache instead of IIS for the webserver service. IIS can be used as FTP if needed.
    There are plenty of Documents on the Web about setting up Apache and FTP for servers.
    Using Apache with Microsoft Windows
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/platform/windows.html
    Quick HOWTO : Ch20 : The Apache Web Server
    http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/wiki/index.php/Quick_HOWTO_:_Ch20_:_The_Apache_Web_Server
    Once the Webserver is setup and operational. You simply store your media content on the Webserver
    and then have your DMS assets in the media library use an external URL address for its location.
    If you want to use external server for other features in the DMM, you can can see how to configure
    here:

    my /etc/php/php.ini
    [PHP]
    ; About php.ini ;
    ; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior. In order for PHP to
    ; read it, it must be named 'php.ini'. PHP looks for it in the current
    ; working directory, in the path designated by the environment variable
    ; PHPRC, and in the path that was defined in compile time (in that order).
    ; The path in which the php.ini file is looked for can be overridden using
    ; the -c argument in command line mode.
    ; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines
    ; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
    ; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
    ; they might mean something in the future.
    ; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
    ; directive = value
    ; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
    ; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
    ; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
    ; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
    ; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
    ; | bitwise OR
    ; & bitwise AND
    ; ~ bitwise NOT
    ; ! boolean NOT
    ; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
    ; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
    ; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
    ; sign, or by using the None keyword:
    ; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
    ; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
    ; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
    ; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
    ; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
    ; About this file ;
    ; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file. It
    ; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more secure,
    ; and encourage cleaner coding.
    ; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
    ; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
    ; file is warmly recommended for production sites. As all of the changes from
    ; the standard settings are thoroughly documented, you can go over each one,
    ; and decide whether you want to use it or not.
    ; For general information about the php.ini file, please consult the php.ini-dist
    ; file, included in your PHP distribution.
    ; This file is different from the php.ini-dist file in the fact that it features
    ; different values for several directives, in order to improve performance, while
    ; possibly breaking compatibility with the standard out-of-the-box behavior of
    ; PHP. Please make sure you read what's different, and modify your scripts
    ; accordingly, if you decide to use this file instead.
    ; - register_long_arrays = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the older (and deprecated) long predefined array
    ; variables ($HTTP_*_VARS). Instead, use the superglobals that were
    ; introduced in PHP 4.1.0
    ; - display_errors = Off [Security]
    ; With this directive set to off, errors that occur during the execution of
    ; scripts will no longer be displayed as a part of the script output, and thus,
    ; will no longer be exposed to remote users. With some errors, the error message
    ; content may expose information about your script, web server, or database
    ; server that may be exploitable for hacking. Production sites should have this
    ; directive set to off.
    ; - log_errors = On [Security]
    ; This directive complements the above one. Any errors that occur during the
    ; execution of your script will be logged (typically, to your server's error log,
    ; but can be configured in several ways). Along with setting display_errors to off,
    ; this setup gives you the ability to fully understand what may have gone wrong,
    ; without exposing any sensitive information to remote users.
    ; - output_buffering = 4096 [Performance]
    ; Set a 4KB output buffer. Enabling output buffering typically results in less
    ; writes, and sometimes less packets sent on the wire, which can often lead to
    ; better performance. The gain this directive actually yields greatly depends
    ; on which Web server you're working with, and what kind of scripts you're using.
    ; - register_argc_argv = Off [Performance]
    ; Disables registration of the somewhat redundant $argv and $argc global
    ; variables.
    ; - magic_quotes_gpc = Off [Performance]
    ; Input data is no longer escaped with slashes so that it can be sent into
    ; SQL databases without further manipulation. Instead, you should use the
    ; function addslashes() on each input element you wish to send to a database.
    ; - variables_order = "GPCS" [Performance]
    ; The environment variables are not hashed into the $_ENV. To access
    ; environment variables, you can use getenv() instead.
    ; - error_reporting = E_ALL [Code Cleanliness, Security(?)]
    ; By default, PHP suppresses errors of type E_NOTICE. These error messages
    ; are emitted for non-critical errors, but that could be a symptom of a bigger
    ; problem. Most notably, this will cause error messages about the use
    ; of uninitialized variables to be displayed.
    ; - allow_call_time_pass_reference = Off [Code cleanliness]
    ; It's not possible to decide to force a variable to be passed by reference
    ; when calling a function. The PHP 4 style to do this is by making the
    ; function require the relevant argument by reference.
    ; - short_open_tag = Off [Portability]
    ; Using short tags is discouraged when developing code meant for redistribution
    ; since short tags may not be supported on the target server.

    ; NOTE: Using short tags should be avoided when developing applications or
    ; libraries that are meant for redistribution, or deployment on PHP
    ; servers which are not under your control, because short tags may not
    ; be supported on the target server. For portable, redistributable code,
    ; be sure not to use short tags.

    ; Output buffering allows you to send header lines (including cookies) even
    ; after you send body content, at the price of slowing PHP's output layer a
    ; bit. You can enable output buffering during runtime by calling the output
    ; buffering functions. You can also enable output buffering for all files by
    ; setting this directive to On. If you wish to limit the size of the buffer
    ; to a certain size - you can use a maximum number of bytes instead of 'On', as
    ; a value for this directive (e.g., output_buffering=4096).
    output_buffering = 4096
    ; You can redirect all of the output of your scripts to a function. For
    ; example, if you set output_handler to "mb_output_handler", character

    ; Setting any output handler automatically turns on output buffering.
    ; Note: People who wrote portable scripts should not depend on this ini
    ; directive. Instead, explicitly set the output handler using ob_start().
    ; Using this ini directive may cause problems unless you know what script

    ls -l /var/run/lighttpd/
    And how are you spawning the php instances? I don't see that in the daemons array anywhere.
    EDIT: It looks like the info in that page is no longer using pre-spawned instances, but lighttpd adaptive-spawn. The documentation has been made inconsistent it looks like.
    You will note that with pre-spawned information, the config looks different[1].
    You need to do one or the other, not both (eg. choose adaptive-spawn, or pre-spawn..not both).

  • Windows Home Server and Apple TV 2

    There are some old threads talking about Windows Home Server and the original Apple TV - the HP Windows Home Servers actually have excellent Mac support and out of the box with the Twonky Media Server that is bundled with the HP WIndows Home Servers would stream to the original Apple TV with no issue.
    The wrinkle is the Apple TV 2 requires Home Sharing. I'm not going to debate good/bad - it is what it is. I was searching for a way to get my WHS working with my Apple TV 2 since I'm finally getting around to automating the transcoding of my Tivo files and I would much rather my WHS be my media server than my Mac. I came across this article that seems perfectly reasonable:
    http://forum.wegotserved.com/index.php/topic/16359-whs-and-apple-tv-v2/
    I haven't tried it yet, but it seems perfectly reasonable. Has anyone else tried it? I'll report back either way - if I remember to

    "But can it be both simultaneously?
    Both a server and a media machine that is showing a movie on your TV?"
    Yes it can, no problems.
    The Mini Server OSX is pretty much the same as the client Snow Leopard, complete with Front Row, iTunes, Mail, Safari etc, but no iLife09 supplied - you will have to pay extra for that.
    It will do everything that Snow Leopard will do but has all the server capabilities too if you know how to set it up/use the software.
    The only things I had trouble with was I can't find Migration Assistant and a strange quirk is that it won't share a USB connected printer across a network! No sign of printer sharing in System prefs but I guess you can do it via the Server config somewhere...
    I just used CUPS to enable Bonjour printer sharing - works fine
    I have been able to insatll everything I had on my previous CoreDuo Mini including Final Cut Express, iLife09, EyeTV, some bit torrent stuff - all works fine...
    I really like the fact that I can plug two monitors in - I have the MiniDVI connected to a 50" plasma and 1080p Projector (using an HDMI splitter), the Mini Display port feeds a separate 20" widescreen monitor - when the plasma/PJ is switched off the main display automatically switches back to the 20" monitor
    All in all this MiniServer is a great little HTPC - powerful and silent with 1TB of storage. The Server software is a bonus I haven't even looked at as yet

  • Can't figure out how to install sql server for PHP

    I am trying to install SQL Server for PHP on a server with Server 2008 32 bit.  The exe from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=20098 keeps tell me that it is an invalid win32 application.  I've tried running as administrator
    as well.  Somewhere I read you need to open the exe with 7zip.  I was able to do that and see all the files in there, but where do I go from there?
    Thanks
    Mike
    edit: forgot to mention I'm using Apache for my server

    That solution is obsolete. The current solution is here:

  • Apache 1.3.33 and PHP 4.3.11 compiled in

    The package
    Here are the good stabile versions of both Apache and PHP including the following stuff:
    - support for these databases: mysql, postgresql, firebird
    - gdi support
    - mod_ssl along with a dummy certificate
    - eaccelerator for PHP and the default configuration for it
    - mod_gzip for pages compression
    - mod_security for ids system (see Snort and making its rules compatible with mod_security). Also remember to disable rules if you get problems with PHP developement. mod_security tends to be too aggressive at first with these default rules.
    The files
    PKGBUILD
    httpd
    apache13.install
    http.conf.d
    httpd.conf.mod_gzip
    httpd.conf.regression-v2
    httpd.logrotate
    Done
    02.05.2005
    - fixed apache13.install to properly stop the server before unistall
    - set eaccelerator to be configured more like it is in cactus's package
    01.05.2005
    - backing up etc/php.ini and etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
    - added logrotate support code from Judd's package
    - phpize is now called from startdir instead of /usr/bin/phpize for eaccelerator
    30.04.2005
       - the package depends now on my firebirddb package. It was needed because
    libgds.so is needed when firebird support is compiled in
       - disabled imagick for the time being - got to find out how to make it compile properly by default
       - cleaned up the code that sets up php (the manual file copying doesn't seem to be needed anymore with 4.3.11)
       - made phpize to be called from ${startdir}
       - set mod_security filtering to Off as default
    29.04.2005 - updated php to v. 4.3.11
       - Tested using Gallery 1.4.4-pl5 and my own project (a lot of database activity and file handling)
    28.04.2005
       - fixed eaccelerator and it now works (php.ini had eaccelerator's settings inserted wrong way with "-marks). The execution of some scripts that took before 0.075 - 0.09 seconds now only takes 0.03-0.04
    27.04.2005
       - cleaned up code a bit and old comments and disabled cookie format checking for mod_security that was causing 500 error
    Todo and thoughts
    <i>10.05.2005</i> - found a great guide about securely setting up apache and php
    - it would be really great to implement a curses-based configuration where the PKGBUILD would be edited according to choices the users makes (because there are changes needed in many parts of the file) - this way the package would really be for everyone
    - deleting default apache manual
    - to get imagick to compile- graphicsmagick installation to work properly or to make it optional
    (ignore the text about graphicmagic in PKGBUILD - it was just for my own tests)

    I built it today and tested again and compiling part went just fine. Only apache13.install was missing - it had pre-remove commands (if server is already running to stop it). Then removed the older same package (pacman -R) and replaced it with the new one. Then started up apache and had 500 error - it was caused by mod_security. Turned off cookie filter in httpd.conf.regression-v2 (SecFilterCheckCookieFormat Off) and then it started up fine.
    The eaccelerator did not appear on php info page, so got to fix setting it up... Please let me know what else seems suspicious to you and what might cause errors.

  • Upload form problems on Mac web server with PHP

    First time using a mac web server and I'm having a heck of a time getting a simple upload form to work in this environment. The errors I'm receiving are:
    Warning: move_uploaded_file(/Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/content/mwm/) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Is a directory in /Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/umin/uploadContent.php on line 66
    Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/private/var/tmp/php1pRrx5' to '/Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/content/mwm/' in /Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/umin/uploadContent.php on line 66
    Usually this problem is resolved by changing permissions on the directory receiving the upload. I've already done that, and set the permissions to 777, though the problem still persists.
    I'm basically defining my upload directory, and then moving the file thereafter:
    define('UPLOAD_DIR', '/Library/WebServer/Documents/mydirectory/content/'. $category . '/');
    move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploadedFile']['tmp_name'], UPLOAD_DIR);
    The rest of the script, without the move execution, works properly. Any help would be appreciated.
    Message was edited by: LoopyChicken

    BAH!
    I had forgotten to add the name of the file to the move command:
    Fix here:
    move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploadedFile']['tmp_name'], UPLOAD_DIR.$file);
    Thanks.

  • How to create a dynamic newsflash using dreamweaver and PHP

    Hi there,
       I would like to create a dynamic newsflash using dreamweaver and PHP in that the newsflash will be pulling information from a MySQL database. The newsflash should also have a link to view more information about the piece of news a user wants to know more about. Which tools do I need to use in dreamweaver and how's the procedure to go about that. Any advice is highly appreciated. Thanx in advance!

    I think you´ll need at least a MySQL table with the following columns:
    - id (primary key, int, auto_increment etc)
    - news_headline (varchar)
    - news_teaser (text)
    - news_content (text)
    What I´d personally add are columns such as:
    - news_date (date or datetime)
    - news_external_link (varchar), if a "read more..." link is supposed to navigate to an external URL rather than displaying the contens of the "news_contents" column.
    Based on such a MySQL table it should be easy to use Dreamweavers standard Server Behaviors to create the usual datalist.php, insert.php, update.php and delete.php documents, and there are numerous tutorials out there which will teach you how to do that.
    Am I right when assuming that you´ll also need to know how to automatically pull, say, the 5 most recent news records from the database ?
