OSB -is it possible to publish a business service to UDDI

Hello
we are now using OSR to manage all the services' registry. As the OSB has been in production for quite a long time, and there are many services (both business services and proxy services).
It seems that the OSB can only publish proxy services to the UDDI, that means we have to register other serivces to the OSR manually(OMG, so much work!!), i am wondering : is there any better solution than that???
thanks
Regards
Wen

OSR works fine with OSB, and services registered in OSR can be imported to OSB. but seems only proxy services from OSB can be published to OSR, that bothers me a bit ;)
anyway appreciate ur help

    Hi mythri.
Did you find a way out of this error? Could you share the solution with me? Because I am facing a problem that looks just like the one you had.

  • OSB:Publish to business service with for each in osb proxy message flow

    Hi,
I have an external application that will make a call to my web-service and post a message to my queue "A" and i need to model my osb component such that it picks the message from that queue " A"and posts it to another queue "B". All this is done without any BPEL involved.
for publishing the message i have created a business service that publishes a msg to the queue A and my proxy service is modelled such that it subscribes to this same queue A and publishes the msg to another business service (that posts it to a queue B).
Everything is working fine but i have an issue in modelling my proxy message flow. If an external application sends a bulk msg i need to post the message one by one to my queue B. I have used for-each and Publish to BS but the msg doesn't get posted one by one. i know i am missing something please help me out.
    SOA Suite Version - 11.1.1.3

Are you sure that your for-each definition is correct? Does the flow within the for-each get executed multiple times?
You can check this by logging the variable to which you assign the message in the for-each. Don't forget to put the log level to Error, so you're sure that it's logged.
Let's say you get a list of persons like the following xml in a variable personList
    <Persons>
    <Person>Glenn</Person>
    <Person>Prasanth</Person>
    </Persons>
Your for-each definition should be the following.
    For each variable: person
    XPath: +./Person+
    In Variable: personList
You don't mention the Persons element in the XPath expression since it is the root element of the XML. The root element is represented by . (dot).
In the for-each, the variable person can be used like any other variable.

  • OSB problem posting 5MB body to a business service endpoint

    Hello,
I have an https endpoint they results in a Broken pipe exception after running for about 10mins if I send a SOAP body greater than 5MB. If I send the same request to this endpoint using SOAPUI (no OSB involvement) it works fine and completes in <1min, it only fails through OSB. Also if the request is less than 5MB it works fine through OSB and again completes in <1min.
I've tried calling a proxy service (through test console and SOAPUI) and the business service (through test console) and all fail with the same broken pipe exception. Below is the constant state of the thread during this 10min period.

    Hello,
I've tried content streaming but it made no difference. Maybe I've misunderstood content streaming but I thought you use this when body variable in the pipeline pair of a proxy is too big to manipulate in memory. In my scenario this is not a problem (I can report on the body fine just before I route to the business service) the only issue occurs when I call the business service with a request greater than 5MB.
I've already adjusted the WLS timeouts/message sizes as follows:
Max Post Size = -1 (although I think this is only used for POST to WLS rather than the other way around)
    Max Message Size = 50000000
    JTA timeout = 60
The only stack trace is for the broken pipe:

  • OSB - Content length http header missing from business service out message

    Hi all,
I am having some diffuclty with a business service in OSB. I created the business service from the wsdl and created a regular proxy service that just routes to the business service. When i run the test console i get the below fault.
    <faultcode>soapenv:Server</faultcode>
    <faultstring>BEA-380000: Length Required</faultstring>
    <detail>
After some debugging i find that the content length http header is missing from the outbound message the business process creates and sends to the acutal web service which sends back the http 411 fault.
Does anyone know how to configure the message flow of my proxy service to ensure that the outbound message sent from the business service contains that content length http header or any suggestions on how to fix this issue will be appreciated.
    Thanks

Disable the "Use Chunked Streaming Mode" property in HTTP Transport Configuration of your business service. By default it remains enabled.

  • In OSB, Single business service to handle multiple Stored procedures

    Hi,
In OSB we have a package and within that there are 8 overloaded stored procedures. DO we have to create 8 business services or is it possible to create single business service and pass differrent messages to it.
    Thanks,
    Vinoth

    Hi Vinoth,
You have to create 8 dbadapters and hence 8 business services. Better you create one stored procedure which internally calls these 8 stored procedures on the basis of conditions you have and create only one DB adapter and hence one business service to invoke this sinlge stored procedure.

  • OSB: Configuring business service for JMS Queue

    Hi,
I want to produce messages into a JMS queue from OSB proxy service. I have created business service for the JMS queue. I also want to return Status code=200, Status Messgae=Success if the message is successfully inserted into the Queue. Kindly let me know how to do this.
I tried using Service Callout to call the business service but it is not allowing me to use it because my business service is a one-way operation. So, i tried with Publish activity but my doubt is how and where to configure request payload for the publish activity. I could not find any.
And how do i know if the message is successfully inserted so that i can send the Status=200 back to the calling proxy service.
    Kindly help in this regard.
    Thanks in advance.

As suggested, use QoS=ExactlyOnce as RoutingOption within the Publish to business service. If there was any error it will send the flow to error handler where you can do a reply with failure to return HTTP status code=500 to the caller of the proxy service.
If you do a reply with success the caller will receive HTTP status code=200

  • OSB: Business Service Timeout for JCA Connection

    Hi,
I am wondering if there's any way to configure timeout for a JCA connection in OSB? It's not configurable in Business Service.
    Thanks.

    Hi Anuj,
I am using DbAdapter. As for operation, which operation are you referring to? Where do I check to verify this?
    Thanks.

  • OSB with request response MQ business service

    Hi,
We have OSB webservice whice interacts with MQ via business service. We need to send the request to MQ request queue and get the response from the response queue.
For this, we have configured a business with MQ transport, request-response is enabled, message id is set for the correlation, auto generate correlation value is chosen.
The business service sends the message but unable receive the response from the response queue. Failing with the error message like
The invocation resulted in an error: [WliSbTransports:381918]Failed to receive response, within the configured timeout, for request message with id 42454BD3E5F7647914544E793F9F0000013EC9DF03918057 and correlation id 42454BD3E5F7647914544E793F9F0000013EC9DF03918057.
But we checked with the end system, the response is sent tot he response queue in no time. We also increased the time out but still same issue.
We noticed that if we dont send the message id, we are getting the response but not response of the request sent but some other response.
Please suggest what needs to be done to fix the issue.

Open your business service and navigate to HTTP Transport configuration page and check what is the http type is enabled.
Look to me its with GET method, change it to POST and re-try.
If the above solution is not helping, try to check the Follow HTTP redirects check box below the Advanced Setting in same page.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • OSB - Problems connecting sync business service to resp. queue with login

    Hello,
I have a synchronous JMS business service which uses the MessageID correlation pattern with statically configured request and response JMS queues. The JMS queues are imported using a foreign JMS and a connection factory with credentials (username and password). The requests seem to work just fine (they are received at the foreign JMS) but I still have problems with the responses. I get the following log entries:
    <Mar 31, 2010 1:50:10 PM CEST> <Warning> <EJB> <BEA-010061> <The Message-Driven EJB: ResponseEJB-8048850762288479454-46349ef3.127b3dbbff1.-7fe6 is unable to connect to the JMS destination: queue.local.name. The Error was:
javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: User: null is not authorized to read from destination queue.external.name>
It seems that the response is handled by a MDB which does not seem to use the username and password configured in the connection factory. Any ideas how to make it use the username and password of the connection factory to receive the response? I have tried both providing the connection factory for the response and leaving it empty (which would cause it to use the one from the request) - both with no success.
    I am really stuck here..
    Thanks,
    Dimo

Alternatively you can try a very dirty way to make this work I think. The reason why the username in foreign server CF's username crednetials are not recognized is due to the fact that the deployment descriptors for the MDB should not specify a provider-URL and there should be a resource reference for the CF.
Business service with reply queues generate a MDB under the hood . You can try to edit the deployment descriptors for this MDB to make this to work.

This needs to be done each time OSB generates a new MDB for the business service - eg. when the business service definition changes.

  • Error in Using the RPC WSDL based Business service

    Hi,
I am using OSB 11g. I have created a business service with one of the WSDL which supports rpc/literal style. I am trying to call this business service using the service callout.
For the service callout if i use Configure SOAP Body option, i am getting the following error and unable to deploy to the server.
*'The Configuration does not correspond to a SOAP RPC WSDL.The WSDL of the target service may have changed.'*
But i am able to use the same option in sbconsole with out any problem. Is it an real issue with Eclipse IDE or a bug in the IDE? Please let me know if any insights into this issue.
    Thanks
    Siva

Enable message trace for BS and see what the actual payload that is being sent. It would give you clear indication what might be the problem.
    Thanks

  • Publish Self developed service in preview system

Is it already possible or planned to be possible to publish self developed service in the Enterprise Services repository of the preview system? Is yes, where is this described?
    Thanks and best regards. Sandro

    Dear Sandro,
That is an excellent question - At the moment this is not possible in the ESA Preview System, but it will certainly be possible as part of SAP's upcoming product releases, where partners and customers can contribute content to the Enterprise Services Repository.
    Best regards, Kaj

  • Is it possible to call a Web Application from OSB Business Service

    Hi,
Is it possible to call a Web Application that has URL - http://host:port/parse.php using a business service in OSB?
What I have seen is it is able to call the service but the data we are sending that is the string in the form of the URL encoded data is not going there. Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Anuj

What I have seen is it is able to call the service but the data we are sending that is the string in the form of the URL encoded data is not going there. Any help would be appreciated. How did you configure your BS. My guess is some thing to do with what your BS is configured and what the Back-end is expecting? HTTP Get Vs HTTP Post

    HI,
    u can use Conditional Branching
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/modelingmessageflow.html#wp1061670
Split join would be used in case u need to split your request and call your Business Service in Serial/parallel & then gather resposnes from multiple callouts to have single response

  • QoS issue with OSB publish to JMS business service

    Hi,
    1. I have a http OSB proxy service which is publishing an audit message to a JMS queue through OSB business service.
MainProxyService (http) --> Publish (best-effort) --> AuditBusinessService (JMS) --> Audit Queue
    2. I want 'Publish to JMS business service' to be a non-blocking call so that proxy service message flow can continue. Transaction support is disabled in proxy service as well as in JMS connection factory.
    3. As default value of QoS (quality of service) for publish action is best-effort, ideally proxy service should continue its message flow immediately after dispatching the message to publish action and it should not block the main proxy flow.
    4. But in my case, proxy service is blocking the message flow until the message is delivered to JMS business service/JMS queue. This is degrading performance of my application.
    5. I think default 'best-effort' QoS is not working with JMS business service as there is a significant time lag between publish action and its next subsequent action.
    6. If I replace the JMS business service with HTTP business service, then it seems to be a non-blocking call and message flow immediately proceeds to next actions.
Correct me if I am going wrong anywhere or my understanding is wrong.
    Many thanks.
