OSB XQuery transformation help in Proxy Service

Hi,
Need help in transformation of the below input to a proxy service
<soapenv:Body  xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
   <InputParams>
     <queryParams>
       <quer:query-params  xmlns:quer="http://www.example.org/QueryParams">

        <param name="test3" value="val3" />
        <param name="test4" value="val4" />
        <param name="test1" value="val1" />
        <param name="test1" value="val11" />
        <param name="test8" value="val33" />
        <param name="test1" value="val34" />
        <param name="test8" value="val33" />
        <param name="test81" value="val33" />
        <param name="test1" value="val333" />
        <param name="test38" value="val33" />
       </quer:query-params>
     </queryParams>
   </InputParams>
</soapenv:Body> and want to have the below output after running the below XQuery transformation
<ns0:mparams>
  <ns0:param name="test1" value="val2" />
  <ns0:param name="test1" value="val1" />
  <ns0:param name="test1" value="val11" />
  <ns0:param name="test1" value="val34" />
  <ns0:param name="test1" value="val333" />
</ns0:mparams>this is the xquery transformation file
(:: pragma  parameter="$InputQuery" type="anyType" ::)
(:: pragma bea:global-element-return element="ns0:mparams" location="../xsd/TargetParams.xsd" ::)
declare namespace ns0 = "http://www.example.org/QueryParams";
declare namespace xf = "http://tempuri.org/Simple/transformation/listparams/";
declare function xf:listparams($InputQuery as element(*))
    as element(ns0:mparams) {
        <ns0:mparams>
            { $InputQuery/ns0:params/param[@name="test1"] }
        </ns0:mparams>
declare variable $InputQuery as element(*) external;
xf:listparams($InputQuery)and here is the input to the above .qs
$body/InputParams/queryParams/qp:query-paramsbut it's the output is always empty and here is what it comes out no matter what the input I give even tried the below inputs but no use
$body/InputParams/queryParams/qp:query-params
$body/InputParams/queryParamshere is the output it always prints when logging in the log file
<quer:mparams xmlns:quer="http://www.example.org/QueryParams"/>Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

$InputQuery/ns0:params/param[@name="test1"]Input doesn't have a ns0:params node ..so the xpath here should be $InputQuery/param[@name="test1"]

  • OSB: Text to SOAP in Proxy Service

    Hi All,
    I am trying to transform incoming text from a proxy service to SOAP business service. Is there a simple way to do it ? I am trying to use Replace and that does not seem to work and I have looked into MFL Transform, but that looks kind of complicated.
    Is there a way I can specify the incoming proxy request, $body and transform that to an element of a SOAP message?
    Any help would be great, thanks!

    Hi Patrick,
    Thanks for your reply. Currently I have a proxy service set as text for my request message type, I am trying to create a service that accepts HTTP POST and just receive some text in the body. I want to get the request and transform data in the body and pass that to a business service that receives a SOAP message.
    Can I still use xquery for that, any help on the configuration would be great, thanks!

  • Osb - bind error handler to proxy service

    Hi!
    I have got a proxy service which polls a POP3 server to download emails and process them.
    My question: How could I bind an error handler to proxy service for noticing when the POP3 server is not available?
    So I would like to put an alert when the OSB looses the connection to email server. I tried to put an error handler to top component on message flow but it doesn't work...
    Could anyone help me?
    Thanks!
    Viktor

    For poller transports (email/File/FTP etc) it is not possible to catch errors of transport layer, in your service error handler. Re: OSB - Error Handler in FTP Transport for TransportException

  • OSB - Accessing Operational Settings within Proxy Service

    Does anyone know if it is possible to access Operation Settings from within a Proxy Service?
    The use case is instead of logging, we perform auditing by inserting into a database. In certain environments, we would like to turn this off. I would like to reuse the Logs logging level field to decide whether or not to audit.
    So the message flow would have if (auditLevel = 'Warning') then BusinessService callout for auditing.
    Doing it this way lets operations choose whether or not to audit, instead of making code changes in different environments to choose whether or not to audit.

    Few months back I was also working on a similar requirement where client did not want to go for OSB configuration change (and even update) for changing the log levels or start auditing. After researching a little bit, we implemented java callout which used to read a property file and provide the value of auditing flag at runtime. We also created a java utility which used to clear the cache of server (because server loads & caches the property file after each restart). So whenever we have to make a change in auditing flag, we just change the value in property file and clear the cache of the server. This makes the fresh copy of property file available in server cache and OSB java callout picks the same.
    It was quite complex but the only better solution we could find. Please let us know if you get something better.

  • How to call business service from xquery transformation in OSB ??

    Hi All,
    How to call business service from xquery transformation in OSB ??
    I need to assign the response variable of Business Service to a target element in XQuery Transformation Mapper file.
    It's urgent.
    Regards,
    Jyoti Nayak

    Transformation is to mapping the source and target of 2 different schemas.
    In your case you should have a XQuery transformation between, your Business Service output schema and the target schema.

  • OSB Proxy Service routing

    Hi,
    I have a simple Proxy Service which consumes messages from a remote endpoint queue (source queue). The Proxy Service simply routes consumed messages to a Business Service which puts messages into another remote endpoint queue (destination queue).
    When I test passing a message to the Proxy Service using the OSB's Test Console, the Proxy Service routes the message to the Business Service okay where the message is then placed into the remote endpoint queue (destination queue) as expected. But, if I put a message into the remote source queue, I can see that the message gets consumed by the Proxy Service but the message remains as 'pending' and, either the Proxy Service does not route the message to the Business Service or, the Business Service does not put the message into the remote destination queue. What could the problem be?
    Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    Hello,
    Still looking for an answer to this.
    Scenario:
    When enabled, OSB Proxy Service removes any messages placed in remote endpoint URI queue, but it seems the messages do not flow within the Proxy Service's message flow itself. When the Proxy Service is enabled, the messages in the remote queue get removed but are seen to stay in a 'pending' state. When the Proxy Service is disabled, the messages get put back in the queue. What are the possible reasons as to why messages would not get processed within the Proxy Service's message flow? All the message flow does is, route the messages to a Business service which then sends the messages to another remote endpoint URI queue.
    PS: When a message is injected into the Proxy Service via the Test Console, the message flows/routes to Business Service okay without problems so I assume that the problem must lie in the inital remote queue/Proxy Service interface somewhere. Maybe permissions or transaction related issue? But I can't see any hints to anything wrong in configurations or server(s) logs...
    Thanks in advance for any help on this.

  • How to maintain messageId when using proxy services and mq??

    Hi
    I am a novice to oracle service bus and trying few transformations by configuring proxy services.
    Let me explain the problem I'm facing:
    I have created a business service and a proxy service and configured them in a synchronous way.
    I'm using MQ as a transport protocol....and message I'm passing and transforming is in xml format.
    these proxy and business services are functioning properly.....but at the another end i have created another pair of busines and proxy service which will be taking request message from earlier business service and putting it into another queue which is reference as a response queue by earlier proxy service.
    my second pair is also working properly. now the problem is that it is not maintaining message Id during all the routing.
    and that's why im not able to read the response message from the response queue because of message ID mismatch.
    Please help!!
    tell me if i have to do change any particular configuration settings to maintain the message id for my request message throughout the flow.
    Thanks

  • Need Help:Handling CLOB in OSB Proxy Service

    Hello All-
    We have created an AQ in Oracle DB which will have the following message Structure:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE enqueue_payload AS OBJECT
    ( field1 VARCHAR2(100),
    field2 VARCHAR2(100),
    field3 DATE,
    field4 VARCHAR2(100),
    field5 NUMBER,
    payload CLOB,
    In the Payload field we are enqueing an XML message.
    We have to use a OSB proxy service to dequeue the message from the AQ, transform it to another format and send to a SOA Composite.
    We created a AQ Adapter in Jdeveloper 11g and imported the WSDL, XSD and .jca jca binding file into the OSB project. And configured the OSB proxy service using the WSDL imported.
    However in OSB proxy service message flow when I try to create an XQUERY transformation, I see that the Payload field does not expose the structure of the XML message that is being enqueued. I even changed the message structure definition to have the payload field as XMLType. But it didn't help.
    On analyzing the XSD created by AQ Adapter, I see that the payload is being defined as "string" in the XSD.
    Inputs Needed
    =========
    1. How can we parse the payload field defined as CLOB/XMLType in OSB so that I can see the structure of the XML message it holds ?
    2. Is there any in-built function in OSB to convert it to XML ?
    3. Any other inputs in order to transform the XML message coming in the payload field as CLOB/XMLType
    Please provide your inputs and I hope that I have clearly explained my use case.
    Thanks in advance for your time and help!!
    Regards,
    Dibya

    Hi Atheek-
    Please find the logs below:

  • How to retrieve the java object in a proxy service in osb -- Plz help

    Hi all,
    I have a singleton java class which runs whenever the weblogic server gets started and store the output in its object. I need to access this java object from a proxy service in osb.
    We tried using java call out and retrieved that object but we couldn't know how to parse that object into XML.
    We are not sure of using the java call out in osb to solve this purpose because whenever we use a java callout, that particular java code will run which is not the case of singleton class.
    So kindly help us how to retrieve the java object which holds the output without running the java code every time because its already run and holding the output in its object.
    Regards
    Prabhu

    here the doc http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/userguide/context.html#wp1106656
    but I guess you are already at the stage of getting a POJO in a first Java Callout and passing the POJO to a second Java Callout, which should then return it to OSB as a XMLObject.
    My recommendation is to write a Java function which returns a XMLObject and uses a XMLCursor to populate it with the values of the POJO.
    An XMLObject returned to the OSB is automatically transformed in a "XML" variable (which in reality is represented as a XMLObject in the Pipeline context)
    Here some code sample:

    And what I am trying to do is replace all the "/com/grifols/gds/webapp/inventoryCount/units/queries/common/" for "http://www.something.else". I have succeeded replacing it if the attribute name is "xmlns" instead of "xmlns:ns4". However, that ":ns4" changes everything and I can't get it to work. Does anyone know how to do so?
    Thank you in advance. Don't hesitate to ask me for more information you may need.
    Jordi

    By the way, this is the XSLT transformation that works fine if we remove that ":ns4" from the attribute name:
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
    xmlns:source="/com/grifols/gds/webapp/inventoryCount/units/queries/common/"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    version="2.0">
    <xsl:output method="xml" encoding="iso-8859-1" indent="yes"/>
    <xsl:template match="source:*">
    <xsl:element name="{local-name()}" namespace="http://www.something.else">
    <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
    </xsl:element>
    </xsl:template>
    <xsl:template match="@*|node()">
    <xsl:copy>
    <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
    </xsl:copy>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>

  • How to use a xquery in OSB Proxy service?

    I have created a xquery and added to alsb. I wanted to use it in a proxy service to replace an element in $body. How can i do it?

  • Can anyone help me what is the use of business and proxy service in osb?

    Hi,
    I am new in Osb what is the use of business service and proxy service in osb.
    I know little bit proxy service is used for actual message flow. I saw some project proxy service invoking the (using service callout,routing and publish) service,but the wsdl of the services of the proxy and business service is same.
    Please can anyone explain the flow while executing through soapUI?(that means it will hit 1st business services or proxy service)
    I have this project structure
    business service
    1.reference.biz----> this is the wsdl of ex:reference.wsdl
    2.external.biz----> this is the wsdl of ex:external.wsdl
    proxy service
    1.referece.proxy--->this is the wsdl of ex:reference.wsdl(in this proxy we are routing to reference.biz proxy service both contains same wsdls why?)
    xqueries of request and response.
    Best Regards,
    Raju.

    Hi Raju,
    Proxy Service - It is the starting point of you OSB application which deal with receiving messages, inducing logic in it like transformation, if-else, replace, java call outs,etc. You can put in your program logic here and then invoke a business service to route it to your Database or to any other queue as per your requirement.
    Business Service - It is generally used for routing purposes, like inserting the input in your Database or sending it to a different queue or BPEL process, etc..

  • Osb proxy service on https,help?

    The Client use https protocol to send message to OSB'S proxy service,so how to configue the proxy service?
    At present:
    service type:Messaging Service
    request message type:xml
    reponse message type :none
    transport:http
    https required:unchenk
    it works on http.
    Anybody can tell me the way to configue a proxy service to receive the https message ?

    As you are using the xml message type for request message you can easily get the value through the message that you have defined.
    Just put a report or log to see whether the incoming message is holding the value that ur sending.
    Then continue from there as per your usecase.
    Sorry missed one info, then you have to select the method that you are going to use in https. You can test this from osb test console by selecting the method as per your usecase.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • OSB Setting SOAP Body Id value in proxy service when calling out to another service

    I have a proxy service deployed in OSB.  I need to set the Id attribute value on the SOAP Body element to a specific value prior to invoking the business service.
    In the service callout I currently has  "Configure Payload Document" selected.
    Do I need to do an XPath / XQuery transformation in an Insert or Update message processing action in a prior step of the message flow before the callout to the business service?

    Suppose below is your request you are passing to Business Service :
    <math:input
    xmlns:math="http://www.math.org">
        <math:inp1>100</math:inp1>
        <math:inp2>1</math:inp2>
        </math:input>
    Now before passing it to BS you need to change the value of inp2 to let say 200.
    So just before service callout , add a replace action
    Replace [ node contents ] of [ ./math:input/math:inp2 ] in [ body ] with [ 200 ]
    Your new request will become:
    <math:input
    xmlns:math="http://www.math.org">
    <math:inp1>100</math:inp1>
    <math:inp2>200</math:inp2>
    </math:input>
    Hope this helps.
