OSB11g - Business Services - Calling WS throwing reader() error.

I have an OSB11g Proxy and business services.
my requirement is to get a WS SOAP request from a BPEL application on to my Proxy services. this proxy service will identify the URI to invoke and make a call on to BES via this business service with the exactly same request which i received in Proxy.
I m getting the request xml as
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ " xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ " xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance " xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema ">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<RootTAG>
<Name>Galvin</Name>
<Age>12</Age>
</RootTAG>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
I have chosen service call-out to make a call to BS.
Option 1 In service call-out i have chosen request with SOAP body.
XML which is sent to BS is looking as below.
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ ">
     <soapenv:Header/>
     <soapenv:Body>
          <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ " xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ " xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance " xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema ">
               <SOAP-ENV:Body>
                    <RootTAG>
<Name>Galvin</Name>
<Age>12</Age>
                    </RootTAG>
               </SOAP-ENV:Body>
          </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
     </soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
Option 2 In service call-out i have chosen request with document.
XML which is sent to BS is looking as below.
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ ">
<soapenv:Header/>
<soapenv:Body>
<soapenv:Body>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ " xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ " xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance " xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema ">
<SOAP-ENV:Body>
<RootTAG>
<Name>Galvin</Name>
<Age>12</Age>
</RootTAG>
</SOAP-ENV:Body>
</SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
For both the request i am getting error as below .
java.lang.IllegalStateException: getReader() called after getInputStream()
But when i test the BS using WS tools (netTool) with the same request XML (which i receive in Proxy), i am getting proper response.
> I have no clue where is the problem actually in my OSB application. Do i miss some header or some additional thing i need to do before setting in request xml in service call-out.
> Also Webservice which BS invokes runs on a weblogic 8.1 application server. Will that be a problem?
Thanks

Anuj
I found one discrepency in the call made from OSB and netTool(WS testing tool)
The content length in the request to WS stub from OSB is - "content length =-1" . kindly help how to set the content length in the request.?
when BES call is made from OSB

  • Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16

    Weblogic app server wsdl web service call with SSL Validation error = 16
    I need to make wsdl web service call in my weblogic app server. The web service is provided by a 3rd party vendor. I keep getting error
    Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found
    Certificate chain received from ws-eq.demo.xxx.com - xx.xxx.xxx.156 was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure
    Validation error = 16
    From the SSL debug log, I can see 3 verisign hierarchy certs are correctly loaded (see 3 lines in the log message starting with “adding as trusted cert”). But somehow after first handshake, I got error “Cannot complete the certificate chain: No trusted cert found”.
    Here is how I load trustStore and keyStore in my java program:
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore",”cacerts”);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword", trustKeyPasswd);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStoreType","JKS");
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore", keyStoreName);
         System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword",clientCertPwd);      System.setProperty("com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.dump","true");
    Here is how I create cacerts using verisign hierarchy certs (in this order)
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignClass3G5PCA3Root.txt -alias "Verisign Class3 G5P CA3 Root"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediatePrimary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Primary"
    1.6.0_29/jre/bin/keytool -import -trustcacerts -keystore cacerts -storepass changeit -file VerisignC3G5IntermediateSecondary.txt -alias "Verisign C3 G5 Intermediate Secondary"
    Because my program is a weblogic app server, when I start the program, I have java command line options set as:
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore=SSLTrust.jks
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
    -Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=strong
    That SSLTrust.jks is the trust certificate from our web server which sits on a different box. In our config.xml file, we also refer to the SSLTrust.jks file when we bring up the weblogic app server.
    In addition, we have working logic to use some other wsdl web services from the same vendor on the same SOAP server. In the working web service call flows, we use clientgen to create client stub, and use SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter to load trustStore and keyStore, and then bind the SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the webSerive client object and make the webservie call. For the new wsdl file, I am told to use wsimport to create client stub. In the client code created, I don’t see any way that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to the client object, so I have to load certs by settting system pramaters. Here I attached the the wsdl file.
    I have read many articles. It seems as long as I can install the verisign certs correctly to web logic server, I should have fixed the problem. Now the questions are:
    1.     Do I create “cacerts” the correct order with right keeltool options?
    2.     Since command line option “-Dweblogic.security.SSL.trustedCAKeyStore” is used for web server jks certificate, will that cause any problem for me?
    3.     Is it possible to use wsimport to generate client stub that I can bind SSLContext and WLSSLAdapter objects to it?
    4.     Do I need to put the “cacerts” to some specific weblogic directory?

    I received a workaround by an internal message.
    The how to guide is :
    -Download the wsdl file (with bindings, not the one from ESR)
    -Correct it in order that the schema corresponds to the answer (remove minOccurs or other things like this)
    -Deploy the wsdl file on you a server (java web project for exemple). you can deploy on your local
    -Create a new logicial destination that point to the wsdl file modified
    -Change the metadata destination in your web dynpro project for the corresponding model and keep the execution desitnation as before.
    Then the received data is check by the metadata logical destination but the data is retrieved from the correct server.

  • Can a business service call a proxy service in OSB

    In Oracle service bus, can a business service call a proxy service and if yes , what is the scenario?
    Thanks in advance
    Priya

    Yes a business service can call a proxy service......for example set your PS as http proxy service and set the endpoint url of PS in the business service..... Lets say when you have three service callouts to be done...the third service callout needs to retried in case of any failures, then you may move the third service callout to a new proxy service and use the buisness service for calling it,,, use the BS retry settings for retyring..

  • WD Service Call ABAP program generation error in 2004s

    Hi,
    I create a 'service call' by using the wizard and I select my existing 'component controller' as a controller. The service type I use is a (custom) function module. The function module has 1 import parameter, an export structure and 6 tables.
    In the 'adapt context' step I choose all fields and structures to be stored in the context. Then I generate the code.
    After generating the code there is a syntax error in the code of the created method. The method code under comment 'store output to context' binds the rfc structure to the context BUT it seems to think that it is a table instead of a structure.
    the code:
    node_Contract->bind_Structure(Stru_C_Contract[] )
    Of course I can remove the '[]' signs manually but I think it is strange that the wizard produces wrong code.
    Please let me know if this is a bug or something else.

    Values in variants are not converted.  You can use the same variant in your ABAP program, but you need to change the value in the parameter for logical system in each system you transport the change to.  The only alternative is to create a logical system name in SM59 that is the same in all your BW systems but it refers to the local R/3 system.
    In other words, you will have two logical systems in your BWD system pointing to your R/3 Dev.  Let's call them R3DCLNT100 and R3SYSTEM, where R3DCLNT100 is also the source system (in RSA1).  You can use R3SYSTEM in your variant for your ABAP program.  In your BWQ (test system), you will have two logical systems also, R3QCLNT100 and R3SYSTEM, where R3QCLNT100 is also your source system.
    Does this help.

  • OSB Business Service calling an HTTPS service

    Hi
    I am using 11.1.1.5 SOA Suite and have a Business Service mapped to an https service.
    When I test it I get
    "The invocation resulted in an error: [Security:090477]Certificate chain received from servername was not trusted causing SSL handshake failure"
    My target https service (during dev) is a soapui mock service set up to provide an https interface for which I have create a certificate using Java's keytool.
    I don't want to have top buy a verisign (or similar) certificate for dev purposes, so my question is how do I get Weblogic to trust my self generated certificate?
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Matt

    I managed to sort it out myslef.
    Create a certificate in a keystore using keytool.
    Export the certificate from the keystore
    keytool -export -alias mydomain -file mydomain.crt -keystore keystore.jks
    Import the certificate to the weblogic keystore
    keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias mydomain -file mydomain.crt -keystore cacerts
    It will ask you if trust this certificate, respond yes, restart SSL through the admin console - weblogic will now trust this certificate.
    Cheers
    Matt

  • ALSB Business Service Call through corporate proxy

    I would like to define an ALSB Business Service to make a http web service call to a business partner over the public internet. No problem normally we would just specify the appropriate URI in the Business Service.
    This time, however, we need to go through a corporate proxy in the DMZ. How do I direct the Business Service to use the proxy? Can I use -Dhttp.proxyHost in the weblogic setDomainEnv.sh?

    In the advances settings of your businiess service, you can define a proxy-server.
    Or you can set the proxy server at JVM level
    PROXY_HOST
    PROXY_PORT
    NON_PROXY_HOST

    How can we solve this problem?
    code sample will be very good for us..
    Thanks..

    Try using the following code
        private static Date parseDate(String date, SimpleDateFormat format) throws Exception
            try
                int zone = -1;
                if ( (zone = date.lastIndexOf('+')) != -1 )
                    format.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT" + date.substring(zone, date.length())));
                else if ( ((zone = date.lastIndexOf('-')) != -1) && (zone >= 10) )
                    format.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("GMT" + date.substring(zone, date.length())));
                else
                    format.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getDefault());
                return format.parse(date.substring(0, 10) + "Z");
            } catch (Exception e)
                e.printStackTrace();
        }Invoke the method as follows
    parseDate("2005-06-10'T'15:56:00", new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd'Z'", Locale.US);This will return a java.util.Date. The '+' and '-' are for if you want to add a timezone offset such as "+06:00" or "-06:00" to the end of your date string.

  • Mapping error code from Business service to Proxy

    I am trying to get hands on with 11g and following the book Getting started with Oralce 11G soa suite. The example I have described is based on chapter 11 and chapter 14. I have a proxy service and business service. The business service calls a "ValidateCC" composite which validates the credit card information passed and is proxied by the proxy service. The validation of CC is done by a stored procedure, which returns an error ora-20001 if the credit card info is not found in the database.
    Testing PROXY service from OSB console:

    What i need:
    I would like to have the exception 20001 populated in faultcode of the response from proxy message. A down stream BPEL process checks the faultcode and processes the message as needed.
    My OSB message flow contains :
    ValidateCredit +> envelope
    PipelinePairNode1
    Request Pipeline
    Report and Validate
    Response Pipeline
    RouteTo_validationForCC
    Service Error Handler
    stage1 with Alert action.
    My question is how to map the actual error occured in the cally be business service handler to the Service error handler in stead of throwing a generic BEA error. Please let me know

    Thank You Swgt for your reply.
    This is what I did:
    When I'm in Edit mode, in the OSB Web Console, I go to my proxy service, click on the Edit Message Flow icon, in the Map of Message Flow window I left-click on my Route icon (which as you already mentioned routes to my Business Service), select Add Route Error Handler (this option only appears if you're in Edit Mode already), click on the Error Handler icon, Add Stage, click on the Stage icon, Edit Stage, click on Add an Action, Flow Control -> Reply. Here I select the Radio Button "With Failure" and then Save All and Activate the change for the session.
    Is this correct?
    I tried this. I no longer get the BEA-380001 error code. However, the fault returned is not a bindingFault as I would have expected, but rather a remoteFault. hence my fault policy never detects it, doesn't rethrow it, and my BPEL error handling never kicks in.
    Is there a way to change this to work more or less in the sense of the tutorial?
    Does using OSB to connect to the service automatically make it a remote fault, instead of a bindingFault?
    Here's the SOAP message handled by my BPEL Component.

  • Retry count and retry Interval fields in Business service (Http protocol)

    Is retry count and retry Interval in OSB business services(Http protocol) defined for retrying the application errors or for communication errors?
    Also even if my connection timeout is 0 I get an error response due to communcation issue in abt 2.5 mins.
    Please explain.

    - There is an explicit configuration on business service called "Retry Application Errors", if enabled application errors will also be retried.
    - If timeout is not set on business service then domain level timeout configuration comes into effect which is by default of 180 sec i.e 3 mins.
    Hope this helps.

  • Retry after timeout criteria met in Business service level

    Dears,
    I want to know if the timeout criteria would be met on a request to a business service (It means if the request would be served in more than 2 seconds in below sample service), does the Proxy Domain retry it again.
    My service configuration parameters are as below.
    General Configuration
    Service Type      Web Service - SOAP 1.1 (WSDL: someServiceWsdl, binding="someServiceSoap")
    Transport Configuration
    Protocol      http
    Load Balancing Algorithm      round-robin
    Endpoint URI

    http://xx.xx.xx.xx:xxx/someService.jws
    http://xx.xx.xx.xx:xxx/someService.jws
    Retry Count      0
    Retry Interval      30
    HTTP Transport Configuration
    Timeout      2
    HTTP Request Method      POST
    Authentication      None
    Follow HTTP redirects      ENABLED
    SOAP Binding Configuration
    Enforce WS-I Compliance      No

  • OSB 11.1.1.6 - Business Service IIS6.0 2way SSL Null Pointer Exception JSSE

    We must use JSSE because of SHA256RSA sign algorithm.
    Business Service calls a remote webservice over two way ssl. Client-cert configured, Key Provider is correctly set, PKI Provider Mapping is fine. Everything is tested with SoapUI 2way SSL and worked like a charm.
    But not with IIS 6.0. Renegotation is enabled (with parameter sun.security.ssl.allowUnsafeRenegotiation) and Chunked Streaming Mode is also set.
    The invocation resulted in an error: [WliSbTransports:381304]Exception in HttpOutboundMessageContext.RetrieveHttpResponseWork.run: java.lang.NullPointerException

  • OSB proxy service Calling OSB proxy service from BPEL

    Dear team,
    Wehave a requirement to call a Wsdl based OSB proxy service with sb protocol from SOA Composite from BPEL process.
    We created a wsdl based OSB proxyservice with sb protocol and deployed to OSB development server.
    We tried to export the wsdl and corresponding xsd files. sbconfig.jar got created.
    When we extracted the sbconfig file and placed the wsdl and xsd into the SOA composite.
    When we are trying to create a partnerlink, that OSB proxy service wsdl is not showing up.
    Please suggest.
    How to call OSB proxy service from BPEL..

    Hi,
    Here either you need to change the protocol from 'sb' to http or use the Direct Binding in soa-composite.
    please refer this links:
    Can a business service call a proxy service in OSB
    http://biemond.blogspot.in/2009/03/calling-osb-services-from-bpel.html

  • Service Call - Removing activites not allowed

    Hi
    When i am updating the Service Call follwing error is showing.....
    Removing Activities is not allowed in Service Call.
    Any suggestion??
    Regards
    Mohit Gupta

    Hello,
    based on SAP standard, you cannot delete it but you can mark them as:
    1. Inactive – Activity no longer appears in reports and your calendar. The activity remains in the database and you can reactivate it.
    2. Closed – Activity remains in reports and your calendar, but cannot be reopened or modified.
    So, do one of the steps above before updating the service calls.
