OT: MySQL Fatal Error

Question

I installed MySQL as David Powers instructed (PHP for
Dreamweaver 8) and
received the "Configuration file created . . . Press [Finish]
to close the
Wizard" message he predicted. When I try to run a PHP file I
receive an
error message "Fatal error: Call to undefined function
mysql_connect()". The
PHP file is listed below. I tried to run it from IE6 with
"localhost/mysql_test.php".
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
