OTL how to limit expenditure types specific to project

I need to display expenditure types LOV that are specific to project,
1. First I need to get sepcific expenditure types defined at the transaction control
2. if not defined at project need to get expenditure types defined at project template level
3. if not then preferences/alternate names expenditure types
Is there any set up that would help to display the same in OTL time card?
Appreciate your input

If you are using Projects only implementation then you could write your logic in PA_ONLINE_EXPENDITURE_TYPES_V on which customization is allowed basically like a mapping of project_IDs and expenditure types that can be used for the project.   Then add a where condition like where project_id = :$FLEX$.PROJECT_ID on the value set HXC_EXPENDITURE_TYPE_DISPLAY.
Thanks,
Al

  • Showing multiple expenditure types in OTL Projects Timecard Layout

Does anyone know how to limit the expenditure types that show up in the standard OTL Projects Timecard Layout? I have two expenditure types for straight time classifications, Labor and Contingent Labor and I only want to show Labor for employee timecards. I can limit the expenditure type in the Projects-Purchasing Layout using Alternate Names, but that doesn't seem to work for the standard projects layout? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks for your assitance!

We were able to customize the list through the view for the expenditure types.

  • Document Type specific to Application Type

    Dear All,
Can any one guide me how to configure Document Type specific to Application Type in DMS.
What I mean, Doc Type 'DRW' should be used only ACAD Drawings, user should not able to attach or check in word document to it.
same time Doc Type 'DOC' should be used only word document , user should not able to attach or check in ACAD Drawings to it.
    Thanks & Rgds,

    Hi Sukan,
Go to Tcode<b> "DC10"</b> i.e. Define Document types
here you find the two fields <b>"Def WS Appl."</b> and <b>"Dis WS applic."</b>
these two fields are for specifying the Application you need for a particular document types.
so when you try to create a DIR and attach the Original by create or open then
by default you see the application what you have set in the DC10 for that particular document type but can be changed.
<i>So you need to put a check on field "<b>DAPPL"</b> i.e. Authorization check through Object <b>"C_DRAW_DOK"[/</b>i]

  • How can i restrict the Expenditure Type values at a specific OU ?

    Dear Guys,
I would like to ask about the Expenditure Types,
I have implemented two projects for different Operating Units ,
when navigating to any Projects responsibilty, and navigating the Expenditure Type field
the values exist are all the values implemented across the OU not the values entered at this OU
How can i restrict the Expenditure Type values at a specific OU
    Regards
    Amr Hussien

    Hello
When you set up a project there is an option called Transaction Control.
This option allow you to list the allowed or restricted elements of costs for the project.
You may enter the transaction control on a project template and that will be copied to any new project.
The cost elements may be expenditure types, expenditures categories, suppliers, employees, etc.
In your case, I suggest to set up specific project templates for each operating units. On each template enter the list of allowed expenditures types for that OU.
Doing so, the system restricts users from entering any expenditure item, supplier invoice, purchase cost etc, against an expenditure type, which is not allowed.

  • OTL TIme card: How to make Project as criteria for Expenditure type

    Hi,
I need to add project as criteria for Expenditure Type LOV.
Can we pass project information as bind varaiable to Expenditure LOV? I need to customize expenditure LOV such that it picks up expenditures defind at the project level apart from preference level.
    THanks
    PRasad

    Hi,
You can do it by OAF personalization.
Enable the link 'Personalize page' on the given OTL page and then for that column set the rendered property as 'True' and then the column will become mandatory,

  • How to default distribution account through purchase requisition, selecting the project expenditure type

    Dear All,
How to default distribution account through purchase requisition, selecting the project expenditure type
    Thanks
    Abdul.

    Hi Abdul,
If you meant defaulting Purchase Order distribution accounts from the (backing) requisition, then the accounts from requisitions will default into the autocreated PO.
If you seek to default distribution accounts for Purchase Requisition using Projects, then the account generator need to have customized rules defined to default account for project enabled distributions based on the Project/Task/Organization/Expenditure Type/Date combination entered.
This note is an extract from the user's guide, and has good detail on defaulting rules of accounts for Purchase Documents:
How Does The Account Generator Default The Accounts In Oracle Purchasing? (Doc ID 1067139.1)
    Hope this helps.

[ There original post I made is incorrect.  The classes/shared libraries need only to be available to the server - they do not need to be available to ALDSP Studio, since the database is access via the server. Double check that the required classes/shared libraries for your jdbc driver are available to your server ]
I searched our CR database for the stacktrace/error that you have and found serveral CR. Most of them indicate the problem was jar file(s) for the jdbc driver were not present in the client classpath. So - whatever you added to the server classpath (and PATH - if there were also shared object libraries) - we need to add those to the ALDSP Studio (eclipse) classpath (PATH).
you can put the jar(s) in
    aldsp_3.0\eclipse-plugins\dsp\eclipse\plugins\com.bea.dsp.ide.external_3.0.0
    and modifying
    aldsp_3.0\eclipse-plugins\dsp\eclipse\plugins\com.bea.dsp.ide.external_3.0.0\META-INF/manifest.mf.
There are two places in manifest.mf you will need to add the jar file - once under Bundle-Classpath and once under Export-Package.

As I said you can use where SMS ID like %1 and see how many machines that gets you. If it's not enough do where SMS ID like %1 or SMS ID like %2. Keep adding a digit until you get ~5000. It won't be perfect though.

  • How to limit the max dialog no that one user can use at the same time?

    Hi,
I meet one performance problem that one user can open 6 sessions in the GUI and he/she can run 6 reports at the same time witch could occupy 6 dialogs in the sap R/3 instance. It makes poor performance for other users.
Would you pls tell me how to limit the no. of sessions one user can create at the same time or how to limit the no. of dialogs one user can occupy at the same time?
    Thanks a lot!
I used this parameters in the default profile as blew:
    rdisp/rfc_check 1
    rdisp/rfc_use_quotas 1
    rdisp/rfc_max_own_used_wp 20 (means: 20%)
    It still didn't work.
    Sean

    Hello,
We can reserve DIA W.P by giving value to the parameter :- rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp=1(default)
that have to necessarily remain free for other users.
This parameter is used to reserve a number of dialog work processes for Dailog mode.
For eg. If 10 dialog w.p. are configured for the instance(rdsip/wp_no_dia=10) and the parameter rdisp/rfc_min_wait_dia_wp=3 is set, parallel RFC's can occupy a maximum of 7 DIA W.P.3 DAI W.P. always remain free for dialog mode.
But now the question is how we assign/restrict this free dialog w.p. to the specific user.

  • Date type-specific Customizing missing for date type ACTActPln

    Hi all.
I'm using a Web Service obtained by copying the CRM 7.0 built-in WS APPTACTCRTRC.
I'm using it to create Appointments using an Adobe Interactive Form.
It goes everything fine (a Date is created in the system, with all the input data properly set) excepted the dates...
The WS uses two TIMESTAMPS, TIMESTAMP_FROM for StartDateTime and TIMESTAMP_TO for EndDateTime, whereas the GUI transaction to create Dates accepts dates and times in separated fields.
Going in Debug I can see that the execution ends with the following error, referred to the involved entity (CRM_APPOINTMENT):
Date type-specific Customizing missing for date type ACTActPln
CRM_APPOINTMENT uses date profile 0000000001 with three possible date types: ORDERACTUAL, ORDERPLANNED and ORDERPROPOSED and I cannot find anywhere date type ACTActPln (just to add it in customizing).
Is anyone able to enlight me?
    Thank you in advance!
    Alessandro
PS I've years of experience in Java programming but I'm quite new to the SAP world. Maybe the problem is not a problem at all, but it seems to me as such. Even if it has a trivial solution, please let me know. Thx!

    Hi,
Well I was about to write that you should enter date in decimal format. but you already did that as mentioned in How to set a date in a Form where the bound date format is a decimal?
In response to following from above thread (copied for others to understand my response)
    Hi all.
I'm successfully using the LiveCycle Designer and I've managed to remotely create Appointments using a CRM Web Service (a mere copy of APPTACTCRTRC).
The only problem I'm encountering is that I'm not able to set the dates/times (start and end of the appointment).
Dragging each of the two fields from the WSDL based Data Connection I obtain a Decimal Field limited to 15 digits.
How can I write a date and time in such a field?
I've tried with a retroverse date as YYYYMMDDHHmmss (for example, 20100301124500) but it does not work
(the appointment is indeed created, but with the start date and time fields filled with
the current date/time and the end date and time fields filled with the current date and time plus 10 minutes).
The retroverse date above is only 14 digit long, so, maybe, this is the problem.
But, given the field definition, I'm not able to fill a blank space between the date and the time.
I'm not able to put a dot either.
    What should I do?
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you in advance.
    Alessandro
15 digit in UTC time format here is fraction of second so you should enter 201003011245000 (add one more zero).
14th Oct 2010 16:00 should be written as 201010141600000, so just try it and and see if it works, I guess if you do not supply end time then by default it will be starttime + 10 min but this is just guess.
