Outbound delivery EDI setup

Hi,
When executing goods issue for a delivery, we want to send a DESADV (Shipping notification) via EDI to our customer. Is LALE the standard output type to use? What are the configuration steps involved in making this possible? Please also include EDI steps (Details of WE20, SALE etc).
Also, where can I define own process codes in the partner profiles for outbound messages (like DELV, SD04 etc)?
Thanks
Lars

G'day Lars,
Should be bog standard SAP functionality. As this is a SAP system -> SAP system 'process integration' the Inbound equivalent of the Outbound should do the trick. You will need to set the Sites/Plants up in WE20 as explained previously with the Inbound and Outbound settings (I am assuming that any Plant can issue/receive from any other Plant). Follow the same steps I outlined for the Outbound parameters for the Inbound, except you will see that there is no Message Control section for Inbound - as we aren't triggering outputs for Inbound. Use the DESADV IDoc Message Type and assign Process Code 'DELS' to it. For your own knowledge, it is the Process Code that drives all the functionality. It is essentially the 'engine' for the IDoc, that has a function module underneath it doing the grunt work. In this case it calls function module 'IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1', which checks the PO and creates a delivery for it.
It's all native functionality so you shouldn't have to come up with a custom Process Code. What you should see - all things working as they should , is the E1EDL24 (Delivery Line item segment) filling the child segment E1EDL41 with a qualifier '001' Purchase order data of customer' and the fields BSTNR filled with the STO number and POSEX with the position/line number.
If you have packed the issued delivery using HU managament, then you should also expect to see segment E1EDL37 filled with the HU's details. These are linked back to the line items via E1EDL44 (a child segment under E1EDL44).
I hope this helps out mate. There is some wicked functionality in there... Let me know how you get on.
Cheers,
Paul...

  • Update Outbound Delivery in EDI Process - Urgent

    Hello experts,
I have to update outbound delivery for picking & PGI in EDI.
I recognized the standard BAPI - BAPI_OUTB_DELIVERY_CONFIRM_DEC for this process, but it doesn't confirm picking.
I also recognized the IDOC - IDOC_INPUT_DELVRYwhich doesn't create partner function.
So now I need to choose any one & enhance with the help of User exit. I found a user exit in IDOC for creating partner function but there is no user exit in BAPI for picking confirmation.
Please suggest me which is the best to use an IDoc or create a custom BAPI for this scenario with pros & cons.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Inbound document not able to created from an outbound message EDI

    Dear all,
Our inbound delivery was not able to create automatically during GI for an outbound delivery. Our inbound delivery is created via an EDI output type in the header of the outbound delivery as soon as the GI is posted.
All along, all the inbound docs are able to generate. However, for this particular outbound document, which has already GI, does not trigger the inbound document creation, and I notice that the output type message having a red light status in the message output.
When I checked the error processing log on this output message type (i.e. the red status), error message said
No goods receiving point for the combination of plant 1120 and stor.loc.
    Message no. VL377
    Diagnosis
No goods receiving point could be found for plant 1120 and storage location  for the inbound delivery item. The delivery should still take place for the goods receiving point .
    System Response
The system does not permit creation of and/or changes to the inbound delivery item.
    Procedure for System Administration
Check your settings in Customizing for Determining the goods receiving point.
The funny thing is I check the SPRO setup (i.e. Assign Goods Receiving Points for Inbound Deliveries), and I notice that the goods receipt point has been assigned and configured. Further, other Delivery Order which is having the same data, does not generate such error in the  message output, and the inbound is able to create.
    WHy?
    thanks.

    Hi Sudhir,
This is a production thus, I don't want to save the inbound delivery, but it seem no problem of creating it, I will have the business create it.
So, how do i debug the idoc?
at first how do I find the idoc number of the failed transaction as when i go to the output message (i.e. in DO header) and check the processing log, system said..
    Object 0082658402 (i.e. DO number)
output type: Stk Transfe Crte Deliv
    Processing log for program /spe/sto_id_processing
no goods receiving point for the combination of plant 1120 and stor loc
no inbound delivery create for the replenishment order
There is IDOC no for this faild message (though GI is incurs)?
    thanks.

  • Post a good issue against an outbound delivery with movement type 601 K

    Hello,
according to my business scenario I need to manage the stock of different vendors into the client's location (plant) at storage location level and I need to post the good issue against an outbound delivery to decrease the stock level.
Since the owner of the goods isn't my client the item is managed only at quantity level (not value) so I'm not interesed in the accounting document.
To do it I'm using the functionality related to the vendor consignment stock but I'm not able to post the good issue against an outbound delivery using the movemement type 601 and the special stock indicator equal to K.
In particular I've tried in two different ways:
    - setup the consignment stock indicator (= K) into the sales item category, but when I post the goods issue the system is not able to find out the right vendor
    - to create a stock determination rule instead of the setting previous described, but the system display an error message (Fld selectn for mvmt type 601 / acct L534200770 differs for Cost center (010) ) even if the accouting is not relevant in my scenario
Can you suggest me how the system has to be setup in order to cover my requirements?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alessandro

    Hi,
Please clarrify which material type you are using in this scenario? I suggest you to use material type UNBW (no value updation will be there) and create a material master.  Use special stock indicator K. Proceed with 601K to do GI. Hope it works. Thanking you.

  • Creation of outbound delivery from ASN

We have an issue while developing EDI interface with our subcontractor.  The requirement is to create an outbound delivery in R/3 system based on the Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN) received from the subcontractor.  In this business scenario subcontractor tells us how much quantity of component is required by them and when (based on their capacity). So we need to create outbound delivery from the ASN to dispatch the components. Kindly suggest how this can be done ?

  • Outbound Delivery Creation without OPEN quantity in SD scheduling agreement

    hi,
We have a customer requirement, where user 's should be able to create
outbound delivery irrepective of open quantity in Sales document.
In Vendor Direct Ship scenario where vendor ships goods to customer directly and sends Inbound 856 EDI message which creates Inbound Delivery, GR, Outbound Delivery, picking, Goods Issue automatically and outbound ASN is sent to Customer. At times, when there is open quantity in SDSA, the I/B IDOC fails in status "51". In such cases, user needs to update the open quantity in SDSA manually and then reprocess the IDOC. In order to avoid manual intervention, business wants to create outbound delivery even though there is no open quanity.
    Please provide your valuable inputs.
    Thanks

Sales order processing is done but i am not able to find correct IDOC type for creating outbound delivery.

  • Disable auto Pick confirmation for EK00 output - Outbound Delivery

    Hello experts,
Need help with Outbound Delivery Picking output typ EK00, I have setup the output type to be triggered automatically upon Delivery creation, It's printing the pick List as desired, But the problem is it's also confirming the Pick quantity automatically. Is there a way to set up this output to just print the PickList and not confirm the Pick Qty ?
    Thanks for your help.
    Kris T

    Hello Kris,
If you want to deactivate automatic picking confirmation, you have remove condition type WMTA which results in automatic confirmation of picking.
    Go to NACE
    Application V2
Here output type/ Condition record  WMTA needs to be removed.
Also you have reconfigure movement type settings.
    SPRO>>LOGISTICS EXECUTION>>WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT>>ACTIVITIES>>TRANSFERS>>DEFINE MOVEMENT TYPES
    Execute.
select combination of warehouse number and movement type
ands reset the automatic TO indicator to keep it 'BLANK' in background processing Tab.
With this settings maintained you can stop picking status to 'C' automatically when delivery is cerated.

  • How PO/Outbound delivery idoc can be triggered automatically once PO is created.

    Hi All,
We have a requirement that we need to automate the process of generation of Purchase Order & Outbound Delivery Idocs as soon as they are created in using ME21N and VL02N standard tcodes.
Currently we are using ZDID Output type as craeted in NACE and below WE20 Message Control Entries:
      For PO -
      Application             EF : Purchase Order
Message Type:      ZDID : Direct Delivery PO
Process Code       ME10 : ORDERS: Purchase order
    For OB -
    Application        V2 : Shipping
Message Type:      ZLD0 : Delivery Note
    Process Code       DELV : Delivery DELVRY01: DESADV/CARNOT/WHSORD/SHPORD
Also, BD64 entries are already maintained.
As per current process, we manually go to ME23N/VL02N tcode->and execute output type which generates Idoc in we02.
Can any one help me getting this automated urgently.
    Thanks
    neha verma

    Hi Neha,
Use Change Pointers Concept for Both PO & Delivery Note.
So that, as soon as a Create/Change/Delete activities happen on PO & Delivery Note, IDOCS will be triggered automatically.
    PO Change Pointers

Same setup for Delivery Note as well.

  • Req: Save Valuation Type in PO when Outbounde delivery is created and Saved

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement.
    1) PO is created
    2) Outbound Delivery is created with ref to PO and saved . The VALUATION TYPE entered in outbound delivery needs to be updated in the PO.
please guide me in which user exit in Outbound Delivery can I update a PO valuation type.
and also how can i change it whether through a BAPI or Direct table change.
    Avi.

    Hi,
I have resolved this issue, I'm posting here so that it could be useful to someone.
To trigger output from Inbound delivery, I have setup a new output and also developed a process code XXXX. A new FM is developed for this process code.
In the new/ customized FM, I have called the standard FM 'IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS' which is used to pull PO data for ME10 process code.
It is know that we have to pass PO number as object-key to the FM to pull the PO data but when a output is triggered from inbound delivery object-key will be a delivery number.
Write a simple select statement which will get the PO number from EKES and set this as object key and pass it to FM  'IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS' .
Thus, you can generate an outbound IDOC which has PO data when triggered from E1 application (Inbound Delivery).
    Thanks,
    Santo

I think you have allowed Over delivery Tolerance to STO....
    In OLME -

  • Outbound Delivery Scheduling Discussion

    Hello Folks,
I am about to work on a assignment to setup and configure the outbound scheduling for delivery documents. The reason I start this post is to get input from you all experts on what are the steps involved and what kind of considerations should be kept in mind while working on this.
We will be doing shipping point based scheduling.....
So far I have noted down the following activities which need to be carried out :
    1) Transportation zones
    2) No of routes / route determination
    3) combinations of departure/destination countries
    4) departure/receiving zones
    5) what shipping conditions
    6) different means of transport
    7) transportation groups
    8) weight groups definition ( if applicable )
    9) combination of shipping point and destination countries
    10) decision on load time, pick/pack time at shipping point level.
    11) Master Data : assignment of transportation zones to ship-to's
Pl advice further on what other activities should be done in preparation for carrying outbound delivery scheduling...
Apart from the activities if you have any comments/concerns that should be kept in mind then kindly share that also.
    Thanks In Advance!!
Your inputs will really help me in getting to a foolproof solution..

    Hi,
u2022Different Times involved in delivery scheduling-
         Pick/Pack Time
         Loading Time
         Transportation Time
         Transit Time
u2022Shipping point calculate: - Pick/Pack Time, Loading Time
u2022Route calculate: - Transportation Time, Transit Time
Backward scheduling- system confirms the quantity of delivery on the basis of customer request delivery date.
Forward scheduling- system confirms the quantity on the basis of New Material availability date.
Precise scheduling-the system calculates and displays the results of scheduling down to minute. If you have maintained the working times of the shipping point, the system performs precise scheduling.
Daily scheduling: - the system uses days, hours, and minutes for calculation, but only displays the resulting dates.
Route schedule: - the route is used to determine the transportation lead-time and transit time. For Transportation lead-time precise scheduling uses the working times of the shipping point; daily scheduling uses the factory calendar of the shipping point. For the transit time both types of scheduling use the factory calendar of the route to determine when route is used.
     You can use the route schedule to organize outbound deliveries from a particular shipping point to different ship to party.
      The route schedule generally contains: Route, Departure date and time, list of ship to party and itinerary (optional)
     You can use route schedules in sales order, stock transfer and outbound deliveries.
     In customizing, you define whether a route schedule should be assigned for each shipping point, order type, purchasing doc. type (Delivering plant) and delivery type.
Picking location / storage location determination: - MALA, RETA, MARE
u2022     MALA: - determination based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the storage location (Material master-plant data/storage 1)
u2022     RETA: - Determination based on the delivering plant, situation, and the storage condition.
u2022     MARE: - First MALA then RETA
    Thanks
    Bhushan

  • Inbound/Outbound delivery

    Hi all,
Can anybody explain about inbound delivery and outbound delivery.... please provide any URL if available.
    Thnks & regards
    SAP Beginner

    Hi,
the inbound delivery supports all activities such as putaway, packing, transportation and goods receipt. During the inbound delivery process, planning information is recorded, the status of different activities is monitored, and data accumulated during inbound shipment processing is documented. When the inbound delivery is created, activities such as putaway or scheduling are initiated, and data that is generated during processing of the inbound delivery is included in the delivery.
From PO we can make inbound delivery via :
    1. EDI
    2. Collective processing
    3. Manually...
For outbound del. use the link:

    Hope it helps...

  • Create ORDRSP Idoc on creation, change or deletion of outbound delivery

We have ORDRSP Idocs being created when a sales order is created or modified.  Now our customer would like an ORDRSP Idoc sent to them when the outbound delivery is created for the sales order.    The reason that the customer would like an additional ORDRSP sent is because the time between the entry of the sales order and the creation of the outbound delivery may be a few weeks or more and the actual delivery may not be able to satisfy the quantity ordered.  The customer is not set up to allow partial deliveries.
The customer uses the ORDRSP to feed into their billing system and would like updated quantities at delivery time.  They do not want an ASN record.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to trigger the ORDRSP Idoc when the delivery is created, modified or deleted?  We are on SAP release ECC 6.0
    Thanks for any help,
    Russell

    Vinit and Abhishek,
Thanks for your replies and information.  Sorry I was not clear in my question.  The ORDRSP Idoc is already being created when the order is created or changed.  ORDRSP works fine.  The partner profile is set up, NACE is already configured for ORDRSP, change pointer is working properly, output determination is configured and working, the ORDRSP Idoc is being created.
What I would additionally like to do is trigger the creation of an ORDRSP Idoc when the delivery for the order is created or modified.  I suspect this will require using a user exit in the delivery program to trigger the ORDRSP Idoc and not standard SAP configuration.   This is what I would like help on (trigger the creation of an ORDRSP Idoc when the delivery for the order is created or modified).
Also this site is a small shop.  I am the ABAP programmer, the functional consultant and the EDI consultant for all SAP modules.  There is no one else on the team here other than one person that does transports and security for SAP.
    Thanks,
    Russell
