Outlook not accessible for users on Wireless

hi All,
A concern raised by customer they connect Internet/Intranet but unable to access outlook from there phones?
Any thoughts what might be the issue?

I don't see how this could be a wireless issue.  Wireless can't distinguish traffic.  If the customer can authenticate to the wireless and browse the internet but cannot get Outlook to synchronize to the mail server, then this ain't wireless.  
Have you tried to replicate the issue?

  • Photos visible in iPhoto application but not accessible for upload

    Any help anyone can provide with this is greatly appreciated. I took pictures of a friends wedding and have been trying to order a photobook as a gift. I decided to try to use iPhoto to make the book. I don't use iPhoto very often and at the start of this, my iMac was running on the Tiger OS and an old version of iPhoto (I think 5 or 6). After completing the  first version of my photobook, I tried to place an order, but got a message that my version of iPhoto wasn't supported any longer and I'd  have to upgrade.
    I called the Apple store and ordered the Mac Box Set to upgrade my operating system to Snow Leopard and my iLife to version 11. The woman at the Apple store had me check my system info., available space, etc. and she assured me that my system should be able to handle the upgrade. I went ahead with the upgrade, loading the new operating system first and then iLife. The install seemed to go just fine, I never got any error messages and all the applications appear to function properly. So, I used the new version of iPhoto to create a photobook. I then placed the order the first time. On my end the process went smoothly and the upload completed without interruption. However, I got an e-mail message 4 days later saying my order couldn't be completed because files did not upload properly. So, I tried to place the order again, following the instructions to make sure that all my other applications were closed, etc. Once again the process seemed to be completed without any issues. However, now a week later, I once  again got the error message that my order could not be completed because files did not upload properly.
    So, I decided to try to place an order through a different vendor. Now I have discovered that all my recent photos (despite appearing in the iPhoto) are not accessible when I try to access them for upload to the vendor's site. The icon for iPhoto library is grayed out and there is no longer an option to access my photo rolls through finder. So, now I am unable to place the order for the photobook.
    Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.

    Nothing to be fixed. Just a little learning for you.
    There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    (Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
    You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
    If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
    If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
    For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
    Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
    For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
    b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

    Hi,
    I installed two instances of COREid Federation in my machine. Also installed SiteMinder and LDAP. Source Domain of COREid (8101) uses LDAP as IdMBridge and Destination Domain (9101) uses SiteMinder as IdMBridge. I am trying to access the resource protected by the SiteMinder from the source domain using the URL which is constructed using the pattern given in the PDF:
    http://mymachine.domain.com:8101/shareid/saml/ObSAMLTransferService?DOMAIN=DestinationDomain&method=POST&TARGET=http://mymachine.domain.com:8887/Source/Source.html
    Assertions are generated and I can see the assertion in the Source domain and transferred to the Destination Domain.
    when i try to access the Source.html protected with siteminder, I get the following error in the Destination Domain Shareid Log file:
    ERROR - [http10113-Processor3] - RECEIVER: ERROR: Access to the requested resource is not authorized for user uid=username, ou=People, dc=xyz,dc=com
    Please help me to solve this issue?
    Note: When the resource is accessed directly, siteminder authorizes the same user.

    the STARTTRANSACTION() and ENDTRANSACTION() are used by the DI API so I'm really in the blank about this error and it starts to anoy the customer.  Their SAP is 2007 SP01 PL08
    Any concrete ideas about this ?

    According to the documentation:
    SEED_COL_USAGE ProcedureThis procedure iterates over the SQL statements in the specified SQL tuning set, compiles them and seeds column usage information for the columns that appear in these statements.
    Syntax
    DBMS_STATS.SEED_COL_USAGE (
    sqlset_name IN VARCHAR2,
    owner_name IN VARCHAR2,
    time_limit IN POSITIVE DEFAULT NULL);>
    It looks like you need to provide a SQLSET_NAME and OWNER_NAME to use this procedure correctly, to which you've provided NULLs. I don't see any exceptions in the documentation that indicate special processing when NULLs are provided.

  • 2013 Custom Web Parts in Page Layouts not showing for users

    Custom Web Parts in Page Layouts not showing for users
    I have created a master page in the root site collection for a subsite I am developing. I created content types and custom page layouts for the pages within the subsite.
    I used the snippet tool in the design manager to create web parts and page field markup which I copied into the custom layout HTML pages in the root site collection. For instance I have an image viewer web part that I place there to serve as a section title.
    The problem is that I can see all these customer layout page parts no problem but my users cannot. This leads me to believe its permissions, I am site owner of both the subsite and root site collection.
    The users that cannot see the web parts are site members of the site and restricted read users on the root site collection (where the layouts are stored).
    What gives I'm finding it hard to understand why a snipet generated web part wouldn't show in all pages created from that layout page.
    Any help would be appreciated, Havent found anything on this issue online. weird.

    It is a permission issue indeed. Fix is simple, make sure you check out the page layout page, then check it back in as published version.

  • Could Not Proxy For User

    I try to use Methods Proxy from the Object API, but I got this error : "Could Not Proxy For User", my client version is 7.0.3 . With the Novell Groupwise Client I can access to the proxy account.
    Any idea of what to do to fix this problem ?

  • SQL Always On: not accessible for queries

    Hi forum!
    I'm monitoring SQL 2012 Always On Groups with the latest SQL MP. A couple of the database replicas are configured to not allow access. This is to avoid additional license costs for those minor important databases.
    However, I get the following events in the SQL log:
    Error 976, Severity 14
    The target database, '%.*ls', is participating in an availability group and is currently not accessible for queries. Either data movement is suspended
    or the availability replica is not enabled for read access. To allow read-only access to this and other ...
    Of course, as soon as I configure read-only for those databases the events disappear.
    Is there any other solution?
    Has anyone identified already (all) the accessing workflows?

    Hi All, I am also experiencing this issue.  Having a look at the statements SCOM is issuing, it's actually checking whether the AG secondary allows connections but it ignores the value and tries to connect anyway.  I believe this is a minor bug.

    Hi I am new to this forum and am asking for your  help.  We are sharing a computer, the PrtSc key is working for the Administrator but not when we switch users.  We have tried everything that we can think of: From opening a the page(S) we want to paste to not opening the pages. My most common usage is to PrtSc and paste it into an email , but barring that we have tried opening a page in notes, documents, word etc . Nothing seems to work.  I do not get an error message , it just won't paste. Since we are not computer literate we are hoping you can help us with a solution .  Thanks in Advance .

    I have 2 environments with having Guest role (read on Public SecurityGroup).
    Ideally public content should be accesible by any guest/annonomous users.
    Environment 1)
    UCM with SSO(kerbarose based)
    When i access public content with any guest/annonomous user its not accessible
    Environment 2)
    UCM with out SSO
    When i access public content with any guest/annonomous user its accessible
    Did any one faced this problem.

    It seems like your Kerberos SSO reject anonymous users, rather than give the 'Guest' role. Not sure if anything can be done about it at UCM side.

  • Variable not appearing for User

    Hi everyone!
    I have a query which the user have been using for quite some time and it was working fine. When the query is run the user has option of 3 input variables.
    Today, all of a sudden, the 3rd variable does not show up for that user. The query runs fine for every other user. I mean all 3 input variables show up.
    Some how only for this particular user, the 3rd variable does not appear.
    Has any one encountered this situation. Can any one provide me some possible areas to look into as to what might have changed or what could be causing this problem.

    Hi Raj,
    I did try to remove the personalization on the user's system. But the variable still did not appear. I noticed few more things. The variable is "Site ID" (custom one).
    1) The  Site variable does not appear even on other queries only for this user.
    2) I tried to make the user use another system and run the query, it still does not appear.
    3) I created another query for user just to display the Site ID without any variable. It runs fine. When I created a selection variable for Site ID on the same query now the variable again does not appear.
    So I think it must be either a change in authorization or change in definition.
    Can you think of any other issue it might be encountering?

    We got the Calendar Publishing working, and it's a treat, very nice integration to our Intranet, teaming etc.
    But for users that has a published calendar, and is then moved, the publishing fails!
    I've set the loglevel for the Calpub to diagnostic, and I see this:

    Hi Ravi,
    Create a role (PFCG) for your users and provide them access to view and run the reports and then you save the reports to that role. Then the users will be able to view and run the reports.
    If you save the reports to favourite, only you will bve abel to see them as it is specific to you.

  • User account is not accessible for login, but remains in Users folder. Can it be re-activated?

    My 18 mo old grandson hit a few keys on my wife's mid 2010 MbPro while she was logged in and eliminated her user login from the startup/login screen. I used resetpassword utility to reset p/w for System Administrator to access the machine and the user folder is intact. (The account also does not appear in the resetpassword pulldown list of users.) I have copied all of the folders except Library in her original account into a newly created account. Is there a procedure to (1) re-activate/re-access her original account, or (2) migrate her original Library information/settings to the new account?
