Output processing

hi gurus,
here is an issue which I have regarding output processing.
I need to print a label as a batchjob at any time the user wants. For this, the ABAPERS created a Z transaction from which it will take u to a selection screen. So once the user execute it, it should trigger the output printing of label for each of the sales orders selected.
So I will be using output determination and selecting dispatch time 3 (APPLICATION OWN TRANSACTION) . and use a seperate driver program. My question is how I can link the Z transaction which will be exected for label printing to the determination procedure. If you check the TIMING tab in V/30 you can see an Output timing program and Form Routine. Do we need to maintain this if I am selecting the dipatch time as 3? Is it like Z transaction program will call the output timing program and start the batch job.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

if you use V/30 select your cond. type
and set Processing routines : Medium, Program, Form outline, Form
to set other parameters just select your cond. type and
goto Details (F8) and set General Data,Default values, ...etc

Error in output processing analysis

Hi,
we have maintained ZA output types corresponding to partner number as Personnel number and we have not maintained the address for the Pernr as thats how our business works. now the issue is when we process the output type ZA , we get an error in "output processing analysis" that adrnr is not maintained how can we suppress the error ??
the error comes after it does not receives adrnr in FM 'ADDR_GET_NEXT_COMM_TYPE' for the form output.

In your delivery in the Picking tab, check if the Picking status says 'Not relevant for Picking'.
If that is the case, then you have to see if that is intentional or by mistake.
if it is not intentional, then you can change the delivery item category config to make the item relevant for picking.

PO- Output process with DMS attachment

HI,
I have a request to process a PO output but when they process this output instead of picking a layout to print/fax/email, requirement is to get an attachement from DMS document(CV03n) and send this attachment as an email using transaction CVI8.
my question is,
1. for output determination we need print prgram and form name. so can form name be blank in the config( becasue we don't need form)?
2. I'm thiking of using print program to read this attachement and email. Any other ideas?

Harprit,
you dont have to specify from (sap script or smartform). But since you are specifying the print program name why don't you want to specify the FORM routine name.
SAP will directly call this subroutine and in that subroutine you can have all your logic.

Output Processing. Dispatch Time: 3 ( Application own Transaction)

Hi,
I have created output records for an output type with the dispath time =3 (Application Own Transaction) and Transmission Medium = 8 (Special Function) and provided a processing routine to output type.
The output records are populated in sales orders in "Not Processed" Status. My question when will the output gets processed and changes its status to "Processed" when the Dispatch Time is 3 (Application Own Transaction).

In transaction V/30 there is 'Dispatch Time' tab where one option is
'Send with application own transaction', you could create your own
transaction to fulfill your requirements.

PO Output: Processing Routine

Hi all,
Under "Processing Routine" for the PO Output setup, we can assign the print program, form routine and the SAPScript name. There are more than one entries you can set as the assignment starts from "Processing 1" up to "Processing 5".
I normally set up the program name, routine and SAPScript under "Processing 1" columns. I wonder what are the rest are used for?
Any idea?

thanks for the extra info.
I can only guess at the reason for the other options because I have never seen anyone mainatin anything other than "processing 1" and everything works fine.
perhaps it is a method of having alternative forms and programs that can be used in different situations - sorry, stating the obvious here
I don't know how the system would know to use an alternative and which one to use? Perhaps there is some hidden code that trys the next entry if the first one fails????? perhaps it is connected to the "layout module" field on the same screen? Perhaps this uses logic to determine which combination to use depending on the circumstances?
It is a really good question, but unless you need to use the alternatives for any reason, I guess that is is just "nice to know" the logic?

Output processing from sales documents - t-code?

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the t-code to process outputs from sales documents - order confirmations from sales orders. The one that i can use to set up a variant to use in a background job. Similar to VF31 for billing, VT70 for shipments etc. I am unable to find the one to be used for orders.

Output Processing routine giving error in VA01 - Processing Log

Hi,
We have assigned a Smartform in NACE to a Customized Output type ZURE.
When we issue the Output we are getting the Output proceed correctly but in the processing log we are getting an Error record 'Processing routine ENTRY_NEU in program ZRVADOR01 does not exist', but the routine ENTRY_NEU exits in the program ZRVADOR01 and output is generating form the same routine.
Please advice how to proceed.

I understand that u have copied the Program ZRVADOR01 from Standard prg RVADOR01.
Then you have to <b>activate all the includes</b> in your program ZRVADOR01.
The Form Routine ENTRY_NEW may exist in a include which may not be Active.

VF03 - Output Processing Log

Hi,
In invoice header we have a processing log button for displaying log of individual output's. As per my understanding this is a application log.
The problem is i need to retrieve this application log details in a customer program, I have already done some research. I have checked the BAL* function modules but not getting anywhere on how to get this? Anybody have faced a similar problem?

The processing log for invoice output types can be obtained by the following process.+
Get the NAST-CMFPNR or message management number and use TCMF3 - TCMF9 (there are 6 tables in this range) to get the APLID.
Then go to CMFK and CMFP to get the exact message number. Now all you have to do is to construct the message in TEXT.

Purchase order: output processing error.

Hi,
I'm running into the following error when trying to give EDI output from a PO:
"Not possible to determine ISO code for unit of measure LB in item 00010"
output type used: ZBDP
Problem is, the material master is maintained with unit "KG" for the material in error. However the item level view contains "LB" as the gross weight. I wanted to know what part in which program does a check before giving an output. I wanted to debug it and see where the error is generating. I'm looking for a quick fix, so I was hoping to debug this program and determine when the "check" fails, and perhaps manually correct it in debug mode.
the output type ZBDP is set up to use PROGRAM: RSNASTED and FORM ROUTINE: EDI_PROCESSING. I was wondering if this where this "check" occurs and where exactly in this form is the check occurring? I've been looking through it and I can't determine where i should set a breakpoint for this.

You can put a break point in either FM UNIT_OF_MEASURE_SAP_TO_ISO OR in include LEINMF0W, where this error message could be potentially raised..

Photoshop 7 Element keep stopping during output process why?

Photoshop element 7 keep stopping while in output phase, it get up to 70% then it stop. The slideshow about 39min-40 sec, the file size is 4752x 3168 pixels for each pictures, I removed all other software that deals with dvd making and it still stops, What do I do now ?

try to remove all devices connected to a USB port on your computer besides keyboard and mouse.
- try to create a new admin account and work from there.

How to download output process receipt /SAPAPO/RRP4 using a background job.

I am taking download for various location and product in the /SAPAPO/RRP4 , /SAPAPO/RRP1 or /SAPAPO/POV1.
But as the size of the output data is very high, many times it loggs out.
Can anybody suggest how to run this report in background ad take download.

We also had similar requirement and we have tried in many ways to set the job to run in background and to download the output but we failed. Then we developed the Z program using BAPIs with excel interface. You can use BAPI - BAPI_POSRVAPS_GETLIST3 to get the list and then filter as you require and download the put put using excel interface.
It works.

HD output process for best / highest quality?

We shot our film in DVCPRO HD 720p 24.
We are done editing and ready to output to DVD for festival submission. What is the best way to output the film for the best / highest quality?
Should we run this through compressor?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

David, Do you need to adjust the compressor preset to maintain 24p thru dvd authoring (for better quality at lower bitrate - not to mention that full 24p experience on a properly configured dvd player and plasma screen)?
I know that DVDSP does not register the m2v file as 24p (even though it is). I use bitvice to do my high quality compression so I'm not sure about compressor.

Restrict IDOC processing through output control

Hi,
We want to send one idoc (ORDERS) only to a particular logical system while creating purchase order through output control
Can anybody explain how we can restrict sending idoc to only one logical system?

You can control output processing for shipments(VT01n docs) based on overall status by maintaining Activity profiles for shipment types.
SPRO: Logistics execution->Transportation->Shipments->Define and assign activity profiles.
Type a variant name in the status field you want to process edi for the shipment type and click on maintain.
Select shipment checkbox in the 'Print after save' box and enter the EDI output type.

PO output status not processed

Hi,
I am trying to print PO using output type NEU and ZNEU (copy of the NEU) with medium 1-print, communication method filled with required information and also further data with 4-print immediately.
After saving it, the status of the PO in PO output showing yellow-not processed and also it is not seen in ME9F transaction without process/ with process.
Can any one help me understanding why it is happening. or any customization is required to avoid this situation.
