Outside-in service implementation from WSDL file for CAF and WS consumption

Hi All,
I'm having one of those weeks and struggling to get my head around a problem I have...
I'm working on a CE 7.2 system (with no ESR as it's only a demo at the moment) with an SOA architect to deliver some demo capability for a customer.  The architect is defining contracts for services we plan to implement on the CE system and supplying them to me as a bundle of .wsdl and .xsd files.
I am trying to import these service contracts into my NWDS with the intention of implementing the logic behind them and then deploying the services to the CE system.  I can then consume those services in Composite Apps, whilst other areas of the business can consume them direct as web services.  Unfortunately, I've hit a brick wall and can't figure out how to achieve this.
Ordinarily I would create a CAF modelled app service based on an RFC or WSDL and then generate and deploy that but in this case, we want to define the WSDL first and then implement the logic behind it, ensuring the resultant service deployed to the CE runtime complies to the pre-defined service contract.
So, can anyone suggest how I go about this?  I feel like I'm missing something really obvious but just can't seem to get going with this.
Thanks in advance,
Gareth.

Ok, been doing some more reading, thinking and testing.
Am I correct in thinking the only way to use this outside-in approach is to have the ESR activated on CE.  My SOA architect can then define the service interface/contract in the ESR, and I can then import this into NWDS and build the implementation?
I'm trying to get to a point where a CAF implemented application complies with a pre-defined WSDL definition but I really don't think this is possible actually.
Gareth.

  • Java implementation from WSDL file

    Hello All
    I am working on my thesis and have to deal with web services. I have a WSDL file where I have to create the Java implementation for and deploy it to TomCat which is comming with JWSDP1.3.
    The steps I do are as follow:
    1. Get the WSDL file
    2. Create the config.xml file
    3. run wscompile with "-import" option
    4. implement service implementation (provider interface)
    5. run wsdeploy tool
    All tools are running successfully without exception. When I try to access the webservice I receive the following message from tomcat:
    "No JAX-RPC context information available."
    and I cannot access the webservice from my client program. The "hello" example works with my setup.
    Below, please find my WSDL file and my config file as well as my provider interface implementation.
    Thanks for your help.

    Sounds like it did not get deployed properly on the web server. You should be able to hit the URL for the
    web service in a web browser to get an information.
    The client will use the address stored in the WSDL to access the webservice, please make sure that it is correct. If you download the WSDL from the deployed service the address should be fixed up for you.

  • Failed to generate client proxy from WSDL definition for this service

    Hi,
    I am using Weblogic 8.1 SP1. I created a webservice which takes a XMLBean object

    tested using the workshop's test browser but when i am trying to generate a client

    Hi Sandeep,
    Could you try invoking clientgen [1] directly to see if this properly
    consumes your WSDL?
    Thanks,

  • Webservice client : different wsdl file for test/production environment

    In an ADF application, I need call a web service in model project
    In my company, we have 2 environments : test and production.
    This webservice is deploye in test server and production server.
    So there are 2 different wsdl file for test/production.
    I want to make my ADF Application portable cross the 2 environments.
    An environment variable can indicate in which environment the ADF application run.
    According to this variable, application choose which wsdl/endpoint to call.
    If I use "web service Data control" wizard, how can I achieve this?
    If I use "webservice proxy" wizard, how can I achieve this?
    Thanks!!!!!!

    Hi,
    I have a model project with ws proxy client and on this proxy I added an adf ws connection called CustomerExperience
    then I can do this.
    // a test to try to overrule the adf ws connection from EM
    Context ctx = null;
    try {
    ctx = ADFContext.getCurrent().getConnectionsContext();
    WebServiceConnection wsc = (WebServiceConnection) ctx.lookup("CustomerExperience");
    CustomerExperience customerExperience = wsc.getJaxWSPort(CustomerExperience.class);
    } catch (NamingException e) {
    LOGGER.severe("got web service loading fault: "+ e.getMessage());
    throw new JboException( messages.getString("NOM-999"),
    "NOM-999",
    null );
    I exported this to an adf jar and added this to a webapp.
    On runtime the ws connection is not dectected by the webapp so need to copy this ws conn to the connections of the webapp. This works
    but can I change it from wlst instead of EM , is this possible?
    I don't see the WS connection in wlst (oracle common) adf_listURLConnection('CE_Portal')
    thanks

  • XMLBean generation from WSDL file

    I have used workshop for weblogic 9.2 to generate web service from wsdl files. The problem is however, that the (XmlBean) code generated from the <wsdl:fault name="..... /> does not genetate a "Throwable" object. The resulting methods produced by the Web Services -> Generate Web Service... menu option produces code that cannot be compiled, because the (generated) throws clause uses an object that is not derived from Throwable.
    Has anyone else had these symptoms? is there a fix?
    Thanks
    Alan

    Have you tried pulling the schema out of the wsdl and putting it in a xsd file and see if it validates?
    Otherwise, have you tried removing the xmlns:"" from <WL5G3N0:definitions xmlns:"".

    Have you installed the 64-bit Access driver on your machine? See
    Data Source Names and 64-Bit Operating Systems for the differences in odbcad32. Call %SystemRoot%\system32\odbcad32.exe to check the drivers.
    How do you host your service? Stand-alone or IIS or embedded to another application? Keep in mind that IIS7 runs it in its application pool which is defaullt 64bit. Thus the bad image exception, when compiling your service as 32bit.
    When you need the Access database for your service to store informtation, then I would switch to SQL Server (Express) or XML files depending on your actual needs.
    Also check whether your account under which your service is run has the necessary NTFS file permissions on the access file and the folder. This is getting even more complex when it's a remote folder.

  • How can I Create a Client Configuration File for RemoteApp and Desktop Connection with Server 2012?

    I have a working RDS RemoteApp site and looking to test out the feature in Windows 7 Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\RemoteApp and Desktop Connections
    I came across this link: Create a Client Configuration File for RemoteApp and Desktop Connection and I believe this is what I need to do first, but these instructions are for
    Server 2008, and I'm running 2012.
    Any suggestions or tips on how I can begin testing this with Server 2012?

    Hi,
    You can manually enter the path to the 2012 feed and it will connect and download the RemoteApps and Desktop connections.
    If you need a sample .wcx file I have posted one here a couple of times.  If you want I will look for it and post a link.
    -TP
    I tried adding my URL's below, these are sample links that work for me right now for when I log into the web page, but neither of these work.  And I'm not sure what I would need to do with or how to create a .wcx file.
    When I type in my URL of: https://connect.mydomain.org/RDWeb, I get redirected to:
    https://connect.mydomain.org/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/Default.aspx

  • How to create a positve pay file for ACH and Wire transfers through F110

    Hi All,
    I need to create a positive pay file for ACH and Wire transfers to the bank for auto clearing. For checks we have a standard program (RFCHKE00) to create the positive pay file which creates the output lists after the F110 payment process. Is there any standard SAP program available which creates the Positive pay file (Output list) for ACH and wire transfers through F110.
    Thanks
    Sridhar

    Please let your abaper create a 'Z' program using RFCHKE00. For example 'ZRFCHKE00' and use it in the same way as you currently use RFCHKE00 for checks.
    After the program is created, use SE38 and save it as a variant using your own specifications. Thereafter, in F110, when carrying out a payment run, under 'Printout/data medium', enter the program name under "Lists" with the variant. Then click on 'Maintain Variants' and make the necessay specifications there as well.
    Instruct your end-users to enter this program when running ACH and wire transactions through F110.
    Please let us know if this information was helpful.
    Thanks,
    Elias
