OVI Player can't read 'recently added music'

I'm using OVI Player 2.1 and the tab "recently added" never works for me.
When I download a music, it never shows in the "recently added" tab, nor the "added within last 24h", but the music is available at Windows Explorer...
Whats wrong???
Using Windows 7 + Ovi Player 2.1 + Nokia XM5800 Comes With Music

same problem here.
Nokia N97 with latest firmware, Windows XP SP2 - all applications work apart from OVI player.
any ideas?

Can't find recently added music on external drive shared library

My wife and I have separate user accounts on our desktop Mac. The iTunes prefs point both users to the same file on an external drive for our music. I recently imported some CD's under my user and then attemtped to update my wife's iPod under her user so she could listen to the music. The added music does not show up in the library. I've never had this happen that I can recall. Has some update to iTunes changed how this works?

Thanks for the suggestion Limnos but you're right that's not the answer...
iTunes Match allows 25,000 songs so I don't think apple see 20,000 as outside the design parameters.
Anyway I'll wait in hope that someone can offer a solution to the path that Finder uses for each different connection as that's where the answer lies, that or a way to change the path of the server in iTuens, but all the forums I have looked at suggest you can't do that?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

I am trying to synch my recently added music via importing cd in library, the cd is in my itunes, but will not synch. When i had this problem before, a tick was not in the 'synch recently added music' box, but i cant find this now, my model number is MB528BT. Please help

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

Intel Macs use a different partition table format (GUID) for booting. Otherwise, the PPC/APL tables should still let it mount etc unless there is a problem with LaCie or the FireWire ports.
Does it have FW800/400 and USB2?
Seems like LaCie isn't using the best cases or firmware or bridge.
This is a D2 model? two drives bridged to appear as one volume?

My totem player can't read multilingual subtitles.
I have configured Preferences -> autoload subtitle. But I can't see Korean substitle.
English subtitle good work.
(And VLC player's substitle good work.)

My Nokia X5's music playing can't read my mp3 songs.
Although, when I go to Control Panel > Settings > General > Personalisation > Tones, it can read my mp3 songs and I can use them as my ringtones.

To add songs to the music player, please follow the steps below:
Select Menu> Music > Music player.
To add all available songs to the music library, select Options > Refresh library.

Can I See Recently Added Tracks, but not in a Playlist?

Here's my problem: I import about 30 wav files into iTunes. I then need to convert them to AAC versions, and delete the original WAV files.
However, there's no way to have iTunes only display the recently added files in the library. Yes, I can see them in the Recently Added Playlist, but I can't delete the WAV files from there.
The only way I've found to do it is to manually add something like "xx" to the titles, then go to the Music library, search for "xx" and delete those tunes.

You said I could copy the unwanted tunes to a regular playlist and delete them there. But I cannot delete them there, I can only remove them from that playlist. If I want to delete a tune, I must select "Music," in which case I would have to manually find the tunes I want to delete.
Am I misunderstanding?

How can i see "recently added movies" on my apple tv?

On my apple TV 1 st generation, i had the option to view the "recently added movies" on the apple TV menu. Now that i have the apple TV second generation, I DO NOT see this option but i can still see the option "genre, unwatched, by movie". Is there anyone who can help me out on this one? (By the way i had to move all my movies from one hard drive to another, maybe it's something to do with that?)

I think I see now you mention playlists. You can create a smart playlist in iTunes and access it from the Apple TV, this would appear in the nested section under playlists though rather than in the three viewing options at the top of the movie listings. Before you can view playlists you need to enable playlists in the settings.

Can't sync recently added playlist

I listen to recently added most of all my playlists, and I currently have the latest iTunes and iPhone 4 software.
The playlist updates fine in my iTunes but not when I sync with my iPhone, it stays as an older version on my iPhone, and when I look at the playlist under my iPhone in iTunes it shows the new playlist..
It transfers over when I turn live updating off and only then...
Really annoying. Any help anyone?

I am having similar problem.
Many of my platlist are sync properly. But I added 3 new smart playlist in addion to some "dumb" playlist. One of the three sync properly, the other two does not sync.

Recently added music not showing in library

Music I have recently added to itunes is not appearing in my library (nor in recently added playlist). When I search for it in the top browser, the drop down box says I have 92 items, but when I click it there is nothing in the library. I am using itunes 11.0.112.

Ovi Player can not connect to internet

I installed Ovi Player, connected my phone X3-002 to PC and now trying to access Ovi Music.
I get message "We are very sorry but we cannot access the Music Store at this time. Please check your internet connection or try again later". It has been so now for 3 days.
I have 64bit Windows 7 and I'm on 3,5G mobile broadband connection. And the internet is fine, as I am connected to internet and posting here..
How to solve this?

did figure this. at registration i chose UK as my country 'cause was afraid I'll get stupid localized page in non-english language, I had to change it to same country as I chose at player and it worked.

Old computer died - can only get recently purchased music on ipod nano

Hi,
My old laptop packed in suddenly, had no back up, my fault. I downloaded itunes on my new laptop and was happy to see that although cd's I had put on my old computer were gone, I still had music which I had purchased from itunes. However, when plugging my ipod nano in (2nd generation), the only music which it gives me the option of putting on is music which I have recently purchased, using my new laptop.
On looking at a few other forums I thought I should restore my nano and then maybe I could transfer all music, not just the new items, but no. Still only comes up with the 28 songs…even though in my itunes library I have several more. So now I have next to no music as everything got deleted when I restored the nano. I have clicked the “sync music” and “entire music library” to no avail. Still only the recent songs. Please help me. I know I’ll have to put my cds back on (and will back up this time)..but surely I should be able to get the music I have already paid for through itunes?

Answer: Yes. When you first connect iPod to your computer, iPod recognizes that computer as its "home" computer. Each time you connect, iPod automatically downloads the music library stored on it. When you connect iPod to a different computer, iTunes will inform you that iPod is linked to a different iTunes library and will ask whether you wish to erase iPod's contents and sync with the new computer's library. If you will be connecting to multiple computers frequently, configure your iPod to manually manage music. This will allow you to selectively drag songs, albums, or playlists from the second computer to your iPod without compromising the existing music.
Synchronization generally occurs only in one direction, from your computer to your iPod. This means you typically cannot transfer music, automatically or manually, from your iPod to a computer, and you cannot use iPod to copy a music library from one computer to another. An exception to this is the transfer purchases feature which allows you to restore purchased iTunes content to your computer from your iPod. Additionally, if you legally are allowed to copy music or other media files, you can configure your iPod as a storage drive to move media files.

ITunes deletes recently added music

Help! This morning when i opened iTunes all the music i'd uplaoded in the past three days had been deleted as well as the Recently Added playlist, the Top 25 playlist and all other playlists I had made. Does anyone know what went wrong or how to fix it?

Have the tunes themselves actually been deleted or just their reference from the Library? Did you check the trash?
