Owb 10g Optimize Merge Radio Button

Having trouble finding documentation on what the "Optimize Merge" radio button does when configuring a mapping and setting up the tables. I am trying to optimize some slow code using an update/insert merge.

Hi
Without this switched on the select list for the inserts and updates will be the same, this select statement will include all transformations/expressions before the table operator regardless if they are only done for the update or insert. You could get redundant transformations being performed. So with the optimize merge switched on the code generator will analyze your graph and if possible push any transformation applicable only for insert or update to the appropriate part of the merge statement.
For diagnosing performance the explain plan and stats packages of the database have been incorporated into mapping which may help you diagnose issues here too.
Cheers

  • Exclusion groups of radio buttons get merged

    When copying and pasting multiple exclusion groups of radio buttons from page to page, the different exclusion groups get merged into one.

    This bug is really having a negative affect on my development time. Due to this bug, it is taking me about 20 minutes to place each radio button group, and I have to do about 300 of these.
    I thought that creating a radio group as a custom library item and using that instead of copying/pasting would solve the merging issue, but it happens there, too. Anytime a radio group is pasted or inserted from the library, it is merged with an existing group, and is placed in some unpredictable location on the page.
    Anyone have a work-around?

  • Two radio button groups merging into one, and I don't want that. How do I fix it?

    I have two sets of radio buttons that I want to be independent of each other. How do I do that?  Just to be clear... I have one set with two buttons.  The second set has six buttons.  They are independent of each other - they just happen to fall in line one right after the other.  LiveCycle keeps putting them together.
    I have very limited knowledge and am learning as I go.  Thanks for any help that you can give me.

    Select the Radio button that you want to be independent of the other radio buttons, RIGHT click and choose Wrap in New Radio Button Group.
    This way it can be selected along with other radio buttons..
    One question here. If you want each radio button to be independent of each other, why not change them to Check Boxes instead of Radio Buttons.
    Thanks

  • Disable only one radio button in a Radiogroup using Dynamic Actions.

    Hello everyone,
    I'm using Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit with Application Express 4.1.1.00.23
    I have a radio group which has 3 radio buttons. Now in certain situations I want only one of the radio buttons to be disabled.
    I don't want to resort to Javascript for this as that would mean another piece of code that can go wrong and introduce bugs.
    Is this possible using a Dynamic Action? Although DA is also JS, I feel its much easier to maintain.
    Regards,
    Arijit

    I know, you did ask for DA
    Try to put this code in DA and run this code on page load
    =-==========================================
    var pOption = 3;
    var nameArray = $('input[name=p_v01]').map(function(){
                        return this.getAttribute('value');
                    }).get();
    for (i=0;i<nameArray.length;i++){
        if(pOption == nameArray[i]){
            $("#P2_CHECK1_"+i).attr("disabled", true);
    ==========================================
    Plain Javascript
    <script type ="text/javascript">
    function disableCheckBox(pOption){
        var nameArray = $('input[name=p_v01]').map(function(){
                            return this.getAttribute('value');
                        }).get();
        for (i=0;i<nameArray.length;i++){
            if(pOption == nameArray[i]){
                $("#P2_CHECK1_"+i).attr("disabled", true);
    $(document).ready(function(){
        var chkOption = 3;
        disableCheckBox(chkOption);
    </script>

  • What is the code to get the  Label of  radio button item at runtime?

    Hi All
    I am working on forms 10g(version 10.1.2.0.2 ) with Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 on windows 2000 platform.
    My requirement is to dynamically get the label of the radio button item in a radio group.I am able to get the label of the radio group as shown below
    Item :Radio group
    Label : Gender
    IF m_type = 'RADIO GROUP' THEN
         m_label:=Get_Item_Property(m_Item ,label);
    END IF;
    There two Radio buttons inside this radio group which are
    item     : Radio button
    Label : Male
    item :Radio button
    Label :female
    What is the code to get the label of radio button(i.e) male and female ?
    How will I get the count of radio buttons in a radio group at runtime?
    Regards
    Mohan

    But you have to provide the button name which cannot be get at runtime.
    This is a lack of information that the Dev team would correct !

  • ADF 11g Row Selection in a Table with radio button

    Hi there,
    I need to select one row with a radio button and then take some action on those rows via command buttons.
    I need to use a Radio Button and not the table property rowSelection provided with the latest features of ADF 11g.
    In ADF 10g you can use tableSelectOne component that missing in 11g. How you can implement that with ADF 11g?
    Regards, Alex

    Well, ADF 11g doesn't have that capability, so you have to build it yourself. If don't want to build it yourself, you could use the Trinidad components instead of ADF 11g. If you don't want either of those options, then sorry :)

  • Missing "upgrade" radio button in MOPZ

    Hello.
    I've created a maintenance optimizer transaction in MOPZ for a BW 3.5, with the aim of selecting the support packages to be included in the Upgrade to BI 7.0 EHP2 .
    The system  is registered in SMSY as SAP NETWEAVER product, Product Version SAP NETWEAVER 04, with Application Server ABAP and Business Intelligence (relevant)  flagged as main instances.
    When I proceed with the selection in MOPZ, I can choose the Logical component, and then I get the screen for finding download files.
    However only the Maintenance radio button is available, no upgrade.
    Doing the same for a 4.7 R/3 , I can see both the Maintenance and the Upgrade button.
    Any idea why the upgrade button is missing for the BW 3.5?
    Any sugegstion for fixing the issue?
    Thanks a lot
       Dino

    hello there,
    upgrade to Netweaver 7 EHP2 is offered as of Solution Manager 7 EHP1 SP22. If you are running any lower Support Package level, then you get no option to upgrade Netweaver systems.
    I hope this information helps.

  • How to view the DDL script prior to object deployment in OWB 10g R2?

    How to view the DDL script prior to object deployment in OWB 10g R2?
    Here is what I' looking for: in 10gR2, let's say I've built dimension X, but it's not deployed yet. I've selected one of the deployment options, let's say: "Deploy to Catalog only". Now, I'd like to see a DDL script that will be executed at the deployment time. Where can I find this script? What screen? What menu?
    Thanks,
    vr

    Viewing the Scripts
    After you have generated scripts for your target objects, you can open the scripts and
    view the code. Warehouse Builder generates the following types of scripts:
    ■ DDL scripts: Creates or drops database objects.
    ■ SQL*Loader control files: Extracts and transports data from file sources.
    ■ ABAP scripts: Extracts and loads data from SAP systems.
    To view the generated scripts:
    1. From the Generation Results window, select an object in the navigation tree on the
    left of the Generation Results dialog.
    2. Select the Scripts tab on the right of this dialog.
    The Scripts tab contains a list of the generated scripts for the object you selected.
    3. Select a specific script and click the View Code button.

  • Making a text field required when a radio button is clicked

    Hello all, I am very new to designing PDF forms, and I want to implement this requirement but have no idea how to go about doing it. I am designing an order form, and in a few different sections of the form are text fields that I want to be required, but only if a certain radio button on the form is clicked. So for example, I have a radio button group on the page consisting of two buttons, and then immediately to the right is a text field. If the user selects button 1, the text field is not required, but if they select button two, the text field is required. How do I implement this? I am using Livecycle ES3. And when I say required, I am referring to the field value/property of "User Entered - Required". Also, I cannot accomplish this by hiding and unhiding the field depending on which button is clicked, as this form will also be printed and filled out by hand, so all fields must be visible at all times. This form does have a submit by e-mail button and that is how it will be used primarily.
    Also, I have searched around the forums a bit, and have tried some Javascript I have found, tying it to a mouseup event on the radio button, for example "getField("Text1").required = (getField("Radio1").value == "Yes");" and "getField("Text1").required = true;" with the names changed for my fields, but no matter what I try it has no effect
    Thanks!

    i hope this helps u.You can always optimize tht code a bit more , it's coded roughly but it works.

  • Add multiple repeating subforms based on radio button

    I have a form with a hierarchy like this:
    Action
    Survey
    Recommendation
    I do not want the Action or Recommendation visible until a radio button on the survey selecting yes is performed. Multiple Recommendations can be added by clicking an "Add" button. Everytime a recommendaton is added, a summary table is also added in the "Action" subform. This is, so far, working.
    My problem is that the user then has the ability to add another instance of the Survey and once again can select the radio button for yes with more Actions and Recommendations. What I cannot get it do is keep the Actions from the first Survey and start adding the additional ones from the new Survey Recommendations.
    I have tried hiding the Action subform until the radio button yes is selected and I have tried setting the instance to 1 when it is selected. But nothing I've tried is working correctly. It either won't added the recommendations from the second survey or resets the Actions back to 1.
    Would a better solution possibly be to have all of the actions compile in a table at invisibly at the end of the form after all the instances have been done? I really wanted them to appear as a sort of summary at the beginning?
    Please, any help!!!

    Hi Satish,
    I have seen some funky behavior with radio buttons and dynamic subforms. Make sure you are testing with Acrobat or Reader version 7.0.5. Earlier versions have some know quirks with radio buttons and dynamic subforms. As for the radio button not populating when merged with data, I haven't seen that problem before in any version. If you can post your form somewhere, I'd be glad to have a look for you.

  • Radio button labels

    I using Forms 10g R2. Is there any way to control the color of a radio button's label beside setting the foreground color? I'm using the Oracle LAF but unless I set the foreground color for the radio button's labels the label is displayed in black.

    Hello,
    Don't select the radio button but the radio group before changing the color.

  • Using a Radio Button to Disable Multiple Checkboxes

    Hi everyone,
    My name is Christian and I am trying to design a form using Adobe Designer 7 that when a user selects a group of two radio buttons (one marked Macintosh and one marked Windows) it automatically disables 3 or 4 checkboxes of various software applications further down the page.
    The idea is if you select the Windows radio button, you would not be able to select the iWorks or StuffIT checkboxes (as that is Mac software), but conversely if you check Macintosh radio button the iWorks and StuffIT checkboxes activate but the Office 2003 and Microsoft Money checkboxes deactivate (because that is Windows software).
    Im not really a developer so any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks for reading and have a great day! :-)

    I suspect that you have a problem in some portion of your code that you have not posted. To help debugging I suggest you create a simple test using two pages: input.cfm and action.cfm.  Get the most simple case working then add the javascript, css, and CF code to make your application work.
    <!--- contents of input.cfm --->
    <html>
    <head>
         <title>Input</title>
    </head>
    <body>
         <form action="action.cfm" method="POST">
              Choose type: <br />
              <input name="type" type="radio" value="male" />     Male<br />
              <input name="type" type="radio" value="female" /> Female<br />
              <input type="submit" />
         </form>
    </body>
    </html>
    <!--- content of action.cfm --->
    <html>
    <head>
         <title>Action</title>
    </head>
    <body>
         <cfif form.type eq "male">
              Type is male.
         <cfelseif form.type eq "female">
              Type is female.
         </cfif>
         Here is a cfdump of the form variables:<br />
         <cfdump var="#form#" />
    </body>

  • Read-only radio button or checkboxes save as null

    Hi,
    I have a form with some fields that are editable by 1 group of users and read-only for another group in certain conditions.
    Before the header there is a fetch process to retrieve values from tables. So most fields (read-only & editable) are populated including checkboxes & radio buttons.
    All users can edit at least 1 field on the form.
    When the save button is pressed a PL/SQL process runs to save the data.
    The save works if the field is editable.
    If the field is read-only and text it also works.
    But if the field is a radio button or checkbox a null is saved in the table.
    Any suggestions on how to get the PL/SQL to pick up the read-only radio buttons and checkbox values?

    Hi,
    I had the same problem in my application and I found another solution instead of using two items. I'm using a computation on page processing that makes a select on my table to get the value for the checkbox. I'm doing this with the same condition as my read-only condition on my checkbox item so I can get the database value when it is lose in the submit process.
    Also, I found a difference in the html code between the read-only state of the item and the standard state.
    Original state : name="p_v07" (7 because it's the seventh item on my page)
    Read-only state : name="checkbox"
    I tried to modify this using firebug in execution of the page but without success, the problem is still there.
