OWB PRO out there : is it possible SQL to execute OMB*PLUS from Database ?

Hi,
With 11g out : is there any expert who sucessfully integrate pl/sql routine to call OMB. Here's the point : You have an APEX application and you design your stuff and at one point you wish you just have to press a button and generate a first draft of your design in the OWB repository, and then developpers can have a frame to start designing from your perspective.
Also, imagine you have an APEX form to approve the testing of a design or process flow or both, and when you press the i approve button, you get call an OMB*Plus routine that do all the export->import reconcile and deploy thing!
I don't think i'm alone to need this kind of stuff. So since OWB is Java, and Oracle database speek Java : is it possible to think of a quick solution ?

Hi bpaquet,
As you know OMB+ is TCL extension, and as i know OMB is not integrated into RDBMS.
I think, there can be several solutions.
1. Execute shell scripts from db using dbms_pipe package.
2. Execute shell scripts using some java external procedure.
3. Create some OS scheduled job (crontab), which will check some values in DB and execute OMB scripts.

One SQL Statement executed abnormally in Oracle10g Database

One programmer sent the following SQL to me, and ask why no result was returned. I knew that the SQL Statement was not good in writting and designing.
So, first we don't focus on it. we only focus on why no result was returned.

why can it execute like above description? I guess that it maybe go against oracle basic rule.

I managed to track down a 10.2.0.4 instance and can confirm that this statement does not return the correct results.

Executing SQL command in OMB PLUS

How can we execute sqlplus commands in OMB PLus command prompt ?

I don't know if there are any special OMB built in commands, but since it is a superset of TCL, you could use:
exec sqlplus ...

Power Point pros out there?? I need your help.

I was sent a power point of a "family feud" type game. (where you click on a box and when you do the box you click on slides away, revealing the answer.) I can see the power point that she made, and see the animation path, but for some reason when I click on the box, it doesn't go down that path. The box doesn't do anything. (However in edit mode I can see the answer under the box, but when I'm actually presenting the game, the box doesn't slide out)
Am I doing something wrong? Is there an option I need to turn on, or somewhere different I need to click? I"m trying to use this tomorrow, so I'm trying to get it up and running asap. Any ideas what is wrong? (If you need me to email you the file, let me know and I'll do it)

2 questions for all the iTunes PROS out there

I currently have the latest itunes software. I have recently formatted my pc, and need to add all my songs back into the itunes library. I have over 7000 songs all in the general folder
"Music". I do to File->Add folder to library->Then select that folder. It works for a bit scanning though files asks me to convert some, then it just crashes..... It would take me soooo long to do this folder by folder, does any1 know what is going on?
Since i have formatted my pc, when i plug my ipod in it says that it has been synced up to another itunes would i like to delete it all, any way around this? Or maybe can i somehow sync my ipod to my itunes, thus fixing the problem in my first question?

When your iPod is set to update automatically you just need take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. When you get the message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows with iTunes 7 installed hold down the Control and Alt keys (or Shift + Ctrl keys in older versions). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. If you have any iTMS purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers has been introduced with iTunes 7. A paragraph on it has been added to this article: Transfer iTunes Store purchases using iPod
The transfer of non iTMS content such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos and photos as well. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.

Is there a way to mass export/save the reports from database to server

Hope all is well,
We use Discoverer to report off of an ODS. We are moving from ODS 3.1 to ODS 8.
Is there a way to mass download the reports into ODS 8.
My idea at this time, would be to individually save as the query to a folder on server.
Then open another Discoverer instance, sign to ODS 8, open the query from server and do save as to database.
This would take time ....
Please advise with your thoughts and ideas, tx, sandra

I don't have the problem with the second arugument, using essentially the same command as yours. Could you make sure you clean up the following subdirectories and retry:
ear query.ear src war
My guess is that the leftover subdirectories in your previous run are playing game with you. You can simplify leftover management by specifying -output setting.

If you know about DBMS_JOBs then I would say the easiest way to invoke a BPEL process is via the AQ adapter. You just need to populate an AQ and a way you go. The good thing about this is that if SOA SUite is down when the schedule is run you don't need to retry, it will be picked up when it comes online again.

You can use iCloud to lock it if you had that set up. Otherwise, the only thing to do is report the theft to the police. You may want to contact your homeowner's insurance to see if it would be worth filing a claim with them also.

Since I can't install FCS2 on my new MBP running Lion, what else is out there in professional video editing that I can install on Lion? Any suggestions? I've looked at Final Cut Pro X, but everyone is complaining about it....

Avid Media Composer 5.5.3 works on Lion. $995 for anyone who has a previous version of FCP (normally $2500).
Adobe Premiere Pro CS 5.5. Also $995 for owners of FCP.
Both on sale for a SHORT time (been on sale all month), so get them while you can. The one most like FCP is Premiere Pro. Avid is mainly for broadcast TV and film.
