OWSM friendly service endpoint URL

I am planning to use OWSM to ensure security requirements in my systems, but OWSM Gateway generates endpoint URL's as:
http://<server>:<port>/gateway/services/SID000xxxx
Is there some way to provide a more friendly endpoint URL to my protected services ?
Thanks,
Schiroky

When you initially registered the service you also gave it a name. It can also be referred to by this name instead of the generated name. For example,
http://<server>:<port>/gateway/services/myservice
Which also has a generated id of:
http://<server>:<port>/gateway/services/SID0003003

  • Sender Agreement endpoints URL - is it configurable?

    Hello All
I have two PI servers: DEV and QA. DEV works ok, but after transporting objects from DEV I've noticed, that SOAP Sender Agreement gives WSDL which contains service endpoint url from DEV system. Main WSDL Url is correct - from QA.
Are those endpoinds somehow configurable? How to make this WSDL correct, that QA serves those services?
    TIA
    Best Regards
    Maciej

    Hi Maciej,
    answering your question indirectly
it's not PI that you're looking for right now but your sender application
it's the sender application that needs to be able to determine the URL (server) correctly (for dev,qa, prd)
as you only generate a proxy for it once (on the dev system), right ?
so it should be possible to change it in the sender app and not in the receiver I believe - at least that's how it works in simplest cases (no SR etc.)

  • How to change the endpoint url of the siebel service ?

    Hi All,
    JDev : 11.1.1.5
I am fetching data from the siebel webservice. I created the proxy client from the Siebel WSDL in the JDeveloper. It was working fine.
Now the endpoint URL(Server) is changed. This service fails to connect to that server. The service name is same.
I want to fetch the end point urls from a property file, so that, even again if the server is changed, i have to change it in my property file.
How to change the End point URL at runtime before calling the service ?
    This is my endpoint URL.

  • Help with alternative URL for service endpoint

I'm trying to define a WSDL service that is behind a firewall/load balancer.   By default, the wsdl service-endpoint is defined using the same URL prefix as the wsdl page itself.  (e.g https://virtual_servicename...)  However, we need to have the service endpoint use a different prefix as it does get converted by the load-balancer.  (i.e. a firewall rule passes the traffic between the real host names, no virtual address is used)
Question 1) -- should I be using the transport settings tab in SOAMANAGER config to create an Alternative Access URL for Transport Binding?   (I'm not sure transport binding and service endpoint are the same thing.)
If yes to Q. 1, then question 2) -- when I attempt to create an entry in this area using the correct URL, it ends with the following error:  "SRT Framework exception: ICF: Error when creating alias node. Unknown"
Any pointers what alias node is needed and where to defined it?

  • OWSM Gateway intercept by URL

Hi everybody. As I'm diving deeper into OWSM (10.1.3) the question is raised: is it possible to install OWSM Gateway and configure it in the way that this gateway will listen not only on gateway URL (generated from Register Service) but also on original service endpoint without having changed all my client code to point to gateway URL instead of original service endpoint. If this is not possible then how to prevend client apps from calling service endpoint directly?

  • Unable to change ESB Soap Service endpoint

    Hi people , i have a problem,
after creating a soap service , register de esb service on DefaultSystem, i want to call externally using
    "http://host:port/esb/wsil/DefaultSystem/<name of soap service>?wsdl
everithing works ok , but when i try to change from Jdeveloper the enpoint URL , ESB seems to keep using the old URL in :
    http://host:port/event/DefaultSystem/<name of soap service>?WSDL ..
If i check on esb control i can se the new "WSDL URL" on the Definition tab of this soap service. But internally in the WSDL generated by the ESB endpoint it keeps using the OLD URL
    causing obviously a:
"SOAPException: Message send failed: Connection refused"
if i make that resource unavailable after the change
The question is .. why i cant change the endpoint url ????
theres is any WSDL cache or something like in Oracle BPEL PM ??
i need to restart (i dont try yet )
please ill wait for any suggestions
PS: im using ESB 10.1.3.3.0 Build:PCBPEL_10.1.3.3.0_GENERIC_070615.0525

    Hi
I have similar problems and nobody seems to know the solution. Changing the virtual host and port in ESB console does not resolve the problem thoroughly. It's changing the end point entry but living the namespace URL of the WSDL with old value, for instance my address was: http://localhost.localdomain:8889/ .....servicename?WSDL.
This prevents it from proper invoking by external clients, you can reach the end point and use the test page but you can't read its wsdl file without adjusting its address by hand.
I found one solution, it's reinstalling the OAS from scratch and pass the proper name of the server when prompted but what the kind of solution is that? This is obviously deployment problem, the original wsdl file prepared in JDeveloper is used to generate the final wsdl file exposed to external clients but which is the configuration file responsible for that and why the esb console don't change the namespace url too while changing end point?
This is the bug indeed because it's impossible to resolve from console level.

  • Web Service Error - no service endpoints found

    Hi,
I tried to create a web service deployable proxy project to consume an external third party web service url. There were no files generated for Logical Ports and Proxy Classes, though there are files generated for WSDL and SEIs. A further test on http://ip:port/index.html -> web service -> Enter the WSDL URL of the Web service -> No Service Endpoints Found, prove that something wrong with the url.
Any idea for me to check what goes wrong with the web service url? or could it due to firewall?

  • Anonymous Client - How Does the Service Endpoint Know Which Operation

I am using a client (Axis2) to invoke a service through their Anonymous capabilities. When this is done, you create a ServiceClient with the default constructor and call one of its methods based on the MEP that I want to perform. In doing this, the ServiceClient is not aware of the WSDL, the SOAP Action, the Service Name, the Port Name...only the Endpoint URI of where I want the post to be sent.
So I have a Service Endpoint running in WebLogic 10 and constructed using EJB3. We are using JWS to generate the WSDL and other web service configuration files from our SLSB. My WSDL has two operations with different request messages and different response messages. When I send the Anonymous client request, the Service Endpoint correctly processes the request and send the correct response.
How is this happening? Does the EJB3 Service Endpoint know how to process or bind the message based on the root element of the SOAP Body? And is it just working by circumstance. So if I had two operations with the same request message and different responses, would it fail?
    Thanks -jay

Unfortunately you have to make some changes in your code.. to find the pictures you need to replace:
    ImageIcon pic = new ImageIcon("pic.gif");
    with
    URL url = MyClass.class.getResource("pic.gif");
    ImageIcon pic = new ImageIcon(url);
where MyClass is the class which needs to load the resource.

  • Webservice Endpoint URL

    Hello,
I have developed a Webservice Client in Netbeans 5.5 It al works perfect, but how do i change the URL for the ENDpoint or the URL from the webservice?
    Greetings

I recently has the same problem and needed to change the webservice endpoint URL. I tried the above solution, it has one problem.. to get the port, we need to create an instance of service object. The service class generated by jax-ws (2.1rc1) contains code that tries to access wsdl which was used during build done using wsimport. This URL gets hardcoded in class file and if this hardcoded URL is not accessible from the machine on which app is running, the app throws an Exception.
I figured a better solution is to use service constructor that accepts wsdl url as a parameter. The new URL may be loaded from a Properties file.
You may still need BindingProvider if the service location needs to be changed later and you want to reuse the same service object.
If anyone knows any better way to change webservice endpoint as the application move from dev to test to prod.. I will like to know.

  • Changing Service Manager Self-Service Portal URL in SharePoint

I was unsure of whether to put this in the SharePoint forum or here, so please feel free to move as needed.
Just finished a large scale deployment of Service Manager.  The SharePoint farm was setup with 2 servers in the farm and 2 seperate web content servers behind an F5 load balancer.  The self service portal is http://ssp/SMPortal (default installation)
and this URL is set on the F5 to load balance between the web content servers.  When I type in http://ssp.domain.com I want it to go to the portal, but instead takes me to the default SharePoint site.  If I type in http://ssp.domain.com/SMportal
    if loads the portal fine.
My question is there a way to setup SharePoint and/or the WCS servers so that when someone types in the URL http://ssp.domain.com it takes them to the portal?  I am not very familiar with the interworkings of SharePoint so I have not made any changes.
The portal was installed on port 80 with all default settings.
    Thanks for any help

    Warm Fuzzies!

You need to add another endpoint URL to the sharepoint site. Sharepoint decides what content to show you by looking at the host header, so unless the host header you are asking for is bound to a site, sharepoint won't know what site to provide you.

  • IIS hosted WCF endpoint url without *.svc file

Is it possible to remove the .svc file from the url of an IIS hosted WCF service? I am familiar with the System.Web.Routing approach but I don't know that it would be a workable solution in my scenario.
I am attempting to move a Windows Service hosted WCF service to be hosted in IIS. The existing endpoint urls have the format <protocol>://<server>:<port>/<endpoint_name>. In the current IIS arrangement the endpoints look like <protocol>://<server>:<port>/<svc_file>/<endpoint_name>.
Is there a way to do this using the Routing approach which would not require me to decorate every method and the existing client configs and proxies would still work? We have many consumers of this service and would like to avoid requiring them to update
their configs to point to a new url.

  • Customizing ENDPOINT URL generated in PI

    Hi Experts,

The Endppoint URL is as follows.
    http://hostname:port number/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet/sender_party;senderService = xxx;receiverparty=;receiverService=yyy;interface name;namespace

You can choose between 2 URL patterns, as stated in Configuring the Sender SOAP Adapter - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library | paragraph Result:
You can trigger a call to the sender SOAP adapter using either of the following URLs. However, SAP recommends you to use the second option.
      http:// <host name> : <port name> /XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel= <party name> : <service name> : <channel name> . If you have not created a party, enter channel=: <service name> : <channel name>
      http:// <host name> : <port name> /XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?senderParty= <name of the sender party> &senderService= <name of the sender service> &interface= <name of the interface> &receiverParty= <name of the receiver party> &receiverService= <name of the receiver service> &interfaceNamespace= <name of the interface namespace>
