Packaging Wizard Problem

Hello
Where I specify the password to access the database
in Packaging Wizard when I publish my application ?
Because the Packaging Wizard is only asking for the
database user (Figure 4-6 Database Tab Screen in the
Oracle9i Lite Developers Guide for Windows CE ) where the data are replicated from and not the password !!!!
I'm using Oracle 9i Lite 5.0.1 and Oracle 9i 9.01 for
the mobile repository.
Olivier

It's OK I've found the solution :
1. package the application as .jar file with wtgpack
2. publish the application with wtgpack
3. modify the password to access the database with the
control center website

  • Problem connecting to Oracle 8i (817) using Packaging Wizard of 9i Lite

I am having a problem to connect to Oracle 8i database (817) from using Packaging Wizard. I am getting a error message when I tried to use Packaging Wizard -> Snapshot -> Import -> Username/password and jdbc:oracle:oci8:@connect string or jdbc:oracle:thin:@host:1521:Sid
The error message is 'No Suitable Driver. Make Sure the Proper JDBC drive for "jdbc:oracle:oci8i:@<connect string>" is in the classpath"
I would appricated if someone can send me any help on this.
My email address is [email protected]
    Thanks

I am having a very similar problem.
It seems that the packaging wizard forces you to use a JDBC driver to connect to your DB.
I'm getting the "No suitable driver" message also.
I even made sure the classpath line they ask you to remove in the preinstallation tasks was there. It wasn't to start, so I added it, but that didn't fix the problem.

  • Packaging wizard Lite 10.0.0.0.0

    Hello,
I have a problem with the Packaging wizard of Oracle Lite 10.0.0.0.0 :
    I want a new Win32 app.
At step3, at publication name (I haven't found documentation about that field in pdfs), it seems that the connection is good but I have no access to snapshots.
Directly to publish application, no snapshot tab.
How can I add snapshots to my new win32 app if I don't have access to this tab ?
    Thanks for your help.

Do not fill in the zone "Nom de la publication" (Publication Name I presume)

  • MDW 10.3.0.3.0 packaging wizard not responding...

    Hi guys,
Hope somebody can help me with this one.  I'm trying to run Mobile Database Workbench 10.3.0.3.0 on Oracle Enterprise Linux Server 5.4 (Carthage) 64bit.
Having encountered errors in the past with the version of Java I'm running on and with the availability of OppenSSL libraries and with not knowing that I had to run oramdw,sh in 32bit emulation, I find myself at the next bump in the road:
I'm working through the packaging wizard and all seems to be working until I get to the 'Application Definition Completed' dialog.  Here I select the 'Publish the current application' option and click 'OK' and the 'publish the application' dialog comes up, I fill in the details of the mobile server, click 'OK' and...nothing!  I find myself back in the Packaging wizard clicking 'OK' here has absolutely no effect.
There are no errors on the SSH session that launch the MDW.
There are no errors in the MDW log.
When I sign into the web interface mu application is nowhere to be seen.
Can anyone offer me any advice on where to look next?  Or what to do?  In the absence of any error messages, I'm not sure what my next move should be.  Any help would be most appreciated.

I think step one is to make sure you are running a certified platforms and technologies. Chap 3 of getting started guide contains all this information in it.  Have you verified this already?   The java version needs to be checked, the OS versions need to be checked, the backend database needs to be checked, the application server needs to be checked, etc.

How do I run the Packaging Wizard from 9iLite installed on a Linux machine?
I see there is a wtgpack.jar in the 9iLite/mobile/server/bin directory. Should i run this? And how?
And will Pacaging wizard run on VNC?

You need to export a whole lot of jar files into the classpath. See this.

  • Packaging Wizard - Compile Jsp ! unsupported major.minor.version

    Hi!
I did follow the "Building Offline Mobile Web Applications Using BC4J" Tutorial

Everything goes straight until I reach 20.3.5
I can't compile the jsp-Files in the Packaging Wizard.
The conversion from jsp -to java-Files is successfull, but the next step
    (compiling them to class-Files) fails.
    It does'nt matter what the JAVA_HOME-Environment is set ( 1.4.x or 1.5)
    the error is always

  • Packaging wizard failed

    Hi
i am using Satellite form to build form for the palm.but when i am packaging it using the packaging wizard i am getting an error "wtg-20502".can aynone help.i will be greatful if any one of u replies to this question.
    Amitava Paul.

I was getting wtg-20504 and wtg-10106 when publishing using the Packaging Wizard. The wizard comes up by default to connect to port 8080 to publish. On a whim, I removed :8080 in the connect string and I was able to publish. I'm still in testing mode, so I can't tell you if it published correctly yet.

  • Oracle package invalidate problem with the jdbcOracleConnectionCacheImpl ()

    Hi all,
I am using the OracleConnectionCacheImpl(); to Create the Oracle connection pool (OracleConnectionCacheImpl class)
In my application i am calling the oracle stored procs.
    (DB environment :Oracle 9i)
to call those stored proc i used the Prepared statements.
All the requests are calling the same java bean to invoke the same package.
when ever the changes occured in the db level,(it means if that package is invalid. i.e when ever the db refreshes occured), all the requests are geting oracle error.
after the oracle package become valid.. still i am geting the oracle errors.
it should not happen, because stored proc is in valid state.
if we restart our adapter or java service then we are geting the proper responses.
we don't know when the db problems occurs, when it will be solve
can any one help me to make my application stable
kindly help me to get underastand the behaviour of our java code and the jdbc behaviour.
if any one didn't understand the above description i can mail you the code what i am using..
    Thanks in advance

A regular Oracle database environment comes with several mandatory userids. These include SYS and SYSTEM. SYS 'owns' all details of the database and SYSTEM is the 'super DBA'. These are database userids, not operating system userids.
I suspect the repository wizard wants to access the SYSTEM userid to be able to create a new schema (equivalent to 'database' for other vendors) within the Oracle environment.
In older versions of Oracle, the default SYSTEM password was 'MANAGER'. These days, any security conscious DBA will have changed that quickly, but ...

  • Ssis 2012 configuration package wizard is hanging

    Hi,
I am trying to edit the dtsconfig package xml file in SSIS 2012 VS envoirnemnt and the wizard is hanging up for minutes until I need to close VS.
Has anyone experienced this problem and what can be done to solve other than editing the XML file directly.

Hi danisroyi2 and Mike Yin Pactera
I am also experiencing this issue.
Edit an existing package configuration and click next.
It hangs on the loading properties form until you eventually (I have waited for over half an hour) have
to kill the process in task manager.

  • Package execution problem with SQLSERVERAGENT

    Hello,
I'm having a problem with the execution of SSIS packages: I created locally a package with SQL Server Data Tools, then I deployed it on my server in the SSISDB database. Then I created a job to execute periodically this package with SQL Server Agent. The
package works fine and does everything I want, but I always get a failed notification. In the global view of the execution I can see:
    Result: "failed"
    Package name: "Package.dtsx"
    Task name: "Package"
    Execution access path: "\Package"
Every other task returns a success and their execution access path is a subfolder of "\Package". I tried everything I found on the web, check the "Runtime 32bits" box, create a "Job Account" user to execute the package via a
"Job Account Proxy", modify the ProtectionLevel of the package to "DontSaveSensitive", give the "Job Account" user full rights on everything, nothing works.
Do you have an idea of what my problem is and how to solve it?
I must precise that all my packages do the same thing: I have a loop on all the csv files in a folder that for each file loads the contents of the file in my database and the delete the file. I observed that the error message do not appear when there is
no file in the folder when the package executes.
    Thanks in advance.

Not sure what error message, is the one "est introuvable.
Cette erreur est retournée par la collection Connections lorsque l'élément de connexion spécifique est introuvable"?
So, here is in short: the ForEach Loop once in its beginning of operation "senses" the files currently present in the working folder. If a new file arrives after this stage, it will not see it.
In your case it seems that the ForEach "saw" a file at the beginning, but it was gone at the time the processing wanted it for execution.
Like many above indicated, the common practice, call
it elegant or not is to indeed move the files to a different directory (working folder). This is done to avoid collisions with some other activity in that folder.
Furthermore, you can have all the files deleted using a ForEach against the working folder as say in
http://beyondrelational.com/modules/2/blogs/88/posts/10178/ssis-delete-files-from-specified-folder-using-file-system-task-in-sql-server.aspx And there is no need to delete the working folder
    itself.
The job is run in SQL Server's Agent
need to be set to run using a domain proxy account as it needs write access to the file system.

  • Adobe Air package damaged -problem

    Hi!
I packaged my Adobe Air HTML/JavaScript -application with Dreamweaver CS 5.5 AIr Extension. Packaging with homemade signature went without any problems, but installing the application doesn't work. I get the error #1000 during installation. I suspect that problem relates to same bug that has been discussed in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/778613#3405543 (internal bug number 1674848). I thought that the bug has been resolved, but the installation works if I remove large (420MB) sqllite-db-file from package. The package's compressed size is ~ 95MB.
    My developing enviroment:
    Windows 7 x64 (4GB RAM)
    Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5
Latest Adobe Air Extension for Dreamweaver
Latest Adobe Air runtime  / SDK (2.7; I have also tried building from command line with same results)
Is the bug still there or should I try something else?

The only idea that comes to mind is to keep the file on the dvd, then have your app install (copy) it on first launch.
Thanks for adding the bug.  For others affected by this, please visit the bug and add your vote.  All feedback is appreciated!
