Page hidden if a field is blank

Is there a code I can input that makes a page "hide" if a field is blank?

In Acrobat you make the hidden page a "template" and hide it. Then for your field you need to use either a validation script or on blur action to change the template from hidden to visible and if the field has its data deleted then you need to hide the template.

I'm working on a page that will dynamically read the parameters in a CR report requested by a user and will build and display an input for each parameter (datepicker for date, drop down list for discrete values, etc.) I'm looking at how to define whether a parameter should be hidden (ex. username - populated by a session variable) or required (ex. Customer Name - would like to bold or put a special character next to the label/prompting text to show that it is required). The best that I've come up with would be to define a naming scheme like @_variable for hidden and @#variable for required. Is there another way that this could be done in case other groups want to use this page to load reports in the future, but may not have those naming schemes enforced? Thanks,Rob

Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.

We have a publishing website in SharePoint 2010. There are total 4 environments - Development, Test, Stage and Production. For some enhancements, we had to create some new lists and libraries. When we moved changes from Development to Test environment, everything
worked fine. Relevant lists and libraries in lower environments were saved as templates (in .stp format) including content, imported to higher environment, lists/libraries were created in higher environment using imported templates.
Things worked fine from Development to Test. We did similar exercise from Test to Stage environment. Now in Stage, when we access some pages, we get error message - "One or more field types are not installed
properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.". ULS logs don't tell which exact list has got problems.
On searching for this error, I got many articles that explain how this could happen when we migrate from SharePoint 2007 (MOSS) to 2010. Though our case different (as all our environments are in 2010), we still tried following steps.
De-activate 'SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' Site Collection feature
Go to https://site-name/relationships%20list/allitems.aspx. This is a hidden list. Delete this list.
Re-activate 'SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' Site Collection feature.
Make sure that new hidden list with one item is created at https://site-name/relationships%20list/allitems.aspx
However, this didn't help as we are still getting same error message. Appreciate if someone can suggest how this issue can be resolved.

Some time this issue occurs if you have any custom filed types in the list or library and that field type is not installed on server .
Can you please check that if you are having any custom field types column on the list and library and if that is the case you need to install that field type on the server. sometimes it happens if field types are not properly deployed / Installed then
you have to uninstall that field types (retract solution) and deploy it again.

Is there a way of hiding the ? symbol if a record's image field is blank?

Basically I've set up a details page on a site that allows the site owner to display up to three images. However, sometimes they'll only upload one or two images.
Which currently looks like this :

Is there some way to get rid of the little ? icons where the image field is empty?
I tried uploading a small white image, and setting the fields to blank.gif as the default, but the file upload script seems to overwrite those with an empty field if no image is selected to upload.
So at the moment I've given them that small image to use if they don't have images, but it would be good to know if there was a way of avoiding that step?

How do you get the custom fields added to a address book to show up on Pages 09 when merging fields?

I created some custom fields in the address book and want to get them merged into a Pages 09 document. When using the merge fields feature in Pages, only the standard fields are displayed. I am looking for a way to have the custom fields from the address book inserted into the document.

I believe you will find them if you go to table - unhide all columns. When you drag and drop card(s) into pages, it automatically shows default fields. The others are there but hidden. I hope this works for you!

Who's Who tab - Position field empty/blank in ESS

Dear Friends,
I am facing a problem in ESS->Employee Search -> Who's Who tab
The 'Position' field is 'Blank' on the Webpage when an employee is logged in. All other fields are displayed on the screen like First Name, Last Name, Organizational Unit, Cost Center, Job, Personnel Number, E-mail ID, etc.
Can anyone please suggest me, what should I need to fix this problem...

We are getting the emty pages when we click on address/banks or any other links from ESS. Our portal is in 7.0 with ERP 6.0 with Business Pacakge 1.0.
I have checked the JCO connection, it is working fine and also setup system for webdynpro with alias SAP_WebDynpro_XSS.
I am not sure what we are missing here. Anyone helps would be really appreciated.

Is it normal that the DataSource field is blank when opening a master data

Is it normal that the DataSource field is blank when opening a master data which is also an InfoSouce in InfoSource page.
Just locate an InfoSource which is also a master data or data target where next to which is a green triangle picture icon in InfoSource page, open it, the top part (Commnication Structure) is automatically expended. Expend the lower part "Transfer_Structure/Transfer_Rules", find the DataSource field is blank. This only occurs for an InfoSource which is also a master data which have more than two data loads (e.g., one is attibute, and the other is text load) or there are two InfoPackage loads for this master data. We checked for master data with only one InfoPackage under it (e.g., only text load) and find it's OK that the datasource field is not blank when expending the lower section.

It's not common. If you have three Data Sources like attributes, texts and hierarchy by default attribute data source will appear on the screen and for the rest of the things we need to do dropdown and select. This is how in general it appears.

Staffing Percentage field is blank while performing Org.Reassignment-PCR

Hi,
We have Z PCR-Org.Reassignment which is copy of std Personal Change Request -SPPD.
In follow up function by HR Admin, on selecting perform personal action, in IT 0001 - Staffing Percentage field remians blank.
Is there any configuration or Switch needs to be activated?

The third text field is blank, and I would like for the radio button next to it greyed out (user can't click on it) since the text field is blank. Is this possible to achieve? I'm assuming I'll have to use javascript, but what would the code be and would it be entered in the javascript editor for the text field or the radio button?

I have created Administrator -approved Infopath form template to my site and activated same template in CA.
I have used this template in one of my Form library and i can able to submit the Form with success to the library.

Is there any other content type on library or check if there is any duplicate column? Could you please also show us your library columns detail? (pic is also fine of lib settings page)
If you have any ""Property Promotion" column then SP create those columns as site column and associate them with this template so check "Allow management of content types" for that form library as well.

I think the issue is related to the internal name of the Expiration Day.
In the caml query code lines, we should use the right internal field name to retrieve and filter the list items.
To avoid such mistake, we can use the CAML Designer tool to generate the caml query code.

ODS Key Fields allows blank values in Transformation

Dear Experts,
I have two layers:
1. Datawarehouse layer (purpose is to represent exactly data at the backend)
2. Consolidation Layer
Scenario 1:
In Datawarehouse layer, the fiscal variant is a key field in ODS and I have two other key fields i.e. combine to form a composite key.
When I load the data from PSA to this ODS, I have a record which contains blank value for the fiscal variant. It successfully loads into the Datawarehouse ODS.
Sceanrio 2:
In the consolidation layer, i have 4 key fields out of which fiscal variant is one of them. Now when I load the data from the datawarehouse ods to consolidated ods, it throws an error saying:
Diagnosis
     An exception fiscvarnt_missing was raised while executin
     module RST_TOBJ_TO_DERIVED_TOBJ .
System Response
     Processing the corresponding record has been terminated.
The transformation mapping for the fiscal varaint in both sceanarios is 1:1 mapping with the rule type 'Time Characteristic'.
My questions is:
1. Why different behaviour during scenario 1 and sceanario 2
2. Solution to the above issue

Yes the format selected in the field for the datasource is 'Internal'.
When loading the data from R3>PSA>ODSX(Datawarehouse Layer), I have no problems even when the field is blank.
When loading from ODSX-->ODSY(Consolidated Layer) the empty (blank) field for that records throws error.
Any ideas?

APEX 4.2. - SkillBuilders Modal Page plugin not sizing fields or labels

I recently migrated from 4.1 to 4.2, bringing over the Skillbuilders plugin 2.0.0. My page has a Popup template. When I open the page as a Skillbuilders Modal Page, all of the fields have the same width, ignoring the width I've given it with the label above the field, even though I said the label should be aligned left horizontally. If I run the page as itself (not called as a Skillbuilders popup), it properly spaces the fields and the labels are aligned to the left. Can someone help me fix this issue?

Yes, the plug-in has been known to have issues with the responsive theme. I recommend either changing your theme or avoiding the plug-in for now.
I may be able to address this in the future, but I wouldn't bank on it.

How to create a field in an OAF page which sums two fields in the same page.

In the HRMS appraisal page, I have two fields in different regions.
1. One field shows the total score of the competencies.
2. Another field shows the total scores of the objectives.
The problem with the appraisal total score is it returns only the rating level id. (It does not take decimal values)
Hence I want to add the above two fields which is displayed in the same page and show as a new field in the top of the page as the final appraisal score.
[Something similar to what is mentioned in the metalink document 1315431.1 ]
We are in 11.5.10.2.
I am new to OAF and have no idea as to how to achieve the above step. Can anyone guide me in doing it?

Went through the steps to do a VO substitution.
But normally in all the examples given the page will belong to the application where we are modifying.
Eg. in this case the "about this page" shows /oracle/apps/fnd/wf/worklist/webui/NotifDetailsPG
This is coming under fnd top where all the appraisal VOs and other pages comes under PER_TOP.
Should I bring all the files from FND_TOP of the server to my PC where jdev is installed.
I have already taken all the files under $PER_TOP to my PC.
