Page is rendering at tabs insteaf of at the top

this is driving me nuts.
I have links from an external file that target tabs on
another page. when that page opens to the tab the page loads with
the tab being the first thign you see. i have a header and
navigation about it that cannot be seen every time this happens so
you have to scroll back up.
is there a way to force the page to render at the very top?
please help!

If you are linking to your page and using a anchor ( #tab2 )
in your URL, the browser will jump to that location, and will not
start at the top of the page (unless that anchor is at the top of
the page).
If you are doing that, then stop it and you'll stay at the
top of the page. You might be able to use a URL parameter and not
an anchor for that instead. Check out this page:

Well I figured it out, right click the arrow that makes the screen bigger and unclick the Hide Toolbar. I knew it couldn't be that hard.

In iweb I want my first(Home) page to have the Home link and an Enter site Link only. On the enter site page (second Home Page) is where all my links appear at the top. Can I do that?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

Go up to the "View" menu, and pull down the "Columns" and "Sort by" menu options. Do you see what you want there? When you say "Address" do you mean "From?"

Some of my desktop documents now have the Mozilla logo on them & when I open the doc "new tab" keeps running across the top of the page

Once I made Firefox my default browser, some of the documents saved on my desktop have the Firefox logo on them. When I opened the document, the top of the window has all of these "new tab" quickly and continuously running across the top, up to 131 before it stopped. So, how do I remove the logo from all of my documents?

If there is currently no file handler application that handles PDF files then the Firefox updater/installer registers Firefox as the default application to handle PDF files and thus they get a Firefox icon (Bug 452254).
You can right-click a PDF file in Windows Explorer and use the open with dialog to change the default application to the Adobe Reader or your preferred application to handle PDF file.
If the icon doesn't change to the icon of that application then you may have to change the icon on the desktop via other means.

Just got a new Mac Mini with Lion - where is the downloads folder in the Window tab that is at the top of the page in Safari? I used this a lot and really miss it!

I just got a new Mac Mini with Lion - the Window tab at the top of the Safari Browser used to ahve a downloads folder in it along with Activity etc - but it is not there anymore. Any way to get it back or is there another location it sits in? I used it when I'd copy video info from the activity folder and then paste into the download folder and presto - I downloaded the video onto my computer. I really miss this capability!

"EDIT" tab option missing from the top bar

I have a weird thing happening: Several times a day the "EDIT" tab on the top bar of the main Final Cut page disappears. This is in the top bar that normally says, "FILE EDIT VIEW MARK MODIFY" etc.
When I close Final Cut and restart, the "EDIT" option appears again.
I'm using FC Studio 6.06 with OSX Leopard.
Anyone else have this problem. It just started about a week ago.

Deleting FCP Preferences:
Open a Finder window. Set the view mode to columns:
Click the house icon that has your name next to it.
Click the folder "Library" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Preferences" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Final Cut Pro User Data" in the next column.
Move the files "Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs", "Final Cut Pro Obj Cache" and "Final Cut Pro Prof Cache" to the Trash and empty it.

On some of the tabs I pin to the top of the browser as an "app" the website icon is simply a dotted square!? Others have the web-logo. Is there a fix for that or procedure I am missing?

If the web site doesn't provide a Favicon, Firefox uses the default "icon". As of Firefox 8.0 that default icon is the blank dashed square, where earlier versions used an icon that was a bit narrower and looked like a sheet of paper with the upper-right corner folded over.
You can revert to the old default icon with this '''userChrome.css''' code.

I am trying to view pdfs but when i click on them lots and lots of tabs keep appearing at the top i've had 1000s,how can i stop this and how can i look at pdfs

I received an email from my power supplier,in it I must click on bill to view,it downloads and asks if I want to open it with internet explorer or something else,so I click on firefox.All it does is keeps opening loads and loads of tabs across the top,I've tried to close them at the last count I had managed to close over 1000 tabs but still cannot see my bill.my wife had the same she tried to open pdfs and got the same problem.So how can we view without problems files we receive in emails etc,and how do I get rid off this tab multipling itself? Why do pages scroll over a navigational menu pinned to the top of my master page?

I am trying to create a static menu bar across the top of the entire site, but all pages continue to scroll over top of this menu, regardless of arrangment etc. How do I make page content go 'under' the nav menu pinned at the top of my master page?

You need to put you Navigation items on a new layer, then make sure that layer is on top.

Why clicking the same tab of tab bar returns to the top view of navigation?

Hi, I have a problem combing the UITabBarController and UINavigationController.
I have 5 tabs and in some tab using navigation controller to switch the view layers.
Suppose i'm on tab 0 and go to the second view layer of navigation controller.
When i click the tab 0 again in the tab bar, it takes me back to the top view. It's really weired.
Why do this happen? Can i override the effect?

I've just installed Cisco Jabber 10.5.1 and I don't want the drop-down tab option showing at the top of my screen. It blocks tabs in the browser window and is simply in the way. Is there a way to remove or move this elsewhere?

I messed with my firefox tabs that are in the top L corner and now I have no bar or no way to delete my history or print boy did I screw up

I was messing with my clear history button and it wasnt working right and some how pushed a button something about a full page and now all my firefox stuff is all gone and I have to put my pointer close to the top to just get to my home button and favorites but leave it to me of course to come up with a problem that hasnt been asked even though i not a newbie i sure feel that way sometimes like NOW!!!!!
