Page No Parameter

Hi,
Just a very quick question.
I have a form and perform the following conditional display.
Condition Type:
PL/SQL Function Body Returning a Boolean
Expression 1:
declare
l_return boolean;
begin
APP_PARMS.CHECK_LOAD('&DISPLAY_USER.',41,l_return);
return l_return;
end;
As you can see i'm passing a few values into a procedure which will perform a check then populate the boolean value.
My question is can you please provide me with a dynamic name for the PAGE NUMBER? I'm currently having to hardcode this in each page. (41 in the above example). You can see that i'm using a dynamic name (&DISPLAY_USER.) to pass the LDAP user into the procedure.
So all I need is the &DISPLAY_USER. version of the PAGE NUMBER. Hope this is clear.
Many thanks,
Richard.

Richard,
It's APP_PAGE_ID.

  • How to add landing page s-parameter to a form submission?

    Hi,
    Really hoping somebody can help me. This is something I have seen used in many of my previouse roles and I would like to introduce it to my current position but am a bit lost. We develop our website inhouse and are currently in the process of migrating it to Dreamweaver CSS, which I am unfamiliar with.
    What I want to do is introduce a tracking code that allows me to see excatly where the original click came from on all Email submissions (conversions).
    What i would like to happen is, when a lead form from our website is submitted there is a hidden default field that comes through to us on the Email submission. That field should (if all goes to plan) pull the S parameter from the URL of the landing page. This S parameter is a code that I have generated and placed in the destination URL of all PPC ads and campaigns (as below)
    I believe I have the correct piece of script ,  I’m just not sure how to place it and what I need to amend within it .
        <form action="jspostto.htm" method="get">
            <input type="hidden" id="hiddenParameterValue" name="hiddenParameterValue" />
            <input type="submit" value="Submit" />
        </form>
        blah<br />
        <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
            document.getElementById("hiddenParameterValue").value = getParam("f");
        </script>
    An example of the kind or code I am putting in is www.sapphiresystems.com/uk/sunsystems/index.htm?s=GUKAOOH02&K={keyword} in the destination URLs of PPC campaigns and Facebook links to the website as such www.sapphiresystems.com/sapb1/index.htm?s=FBSAPBOX.
    Really appreciate any help or insight you can offer,
    Many thanks
    Kiti

    Hi Both,
    Apologies, yes we are on PHP,
    This is what is really throwing me off .... i don't know what WEBBOT is? I have posted everything that was between form tags, just incase i let anything important out.
    Again really appreciate all the help and advice,
    Thanks , Kiti

  • Open page with parameter provided by browser

    Hi,
    there is a page built on a VO with a bind parameter p1.
    in adfc-config i read the param p1 from browser's input :
    <view id="page1">
    <page>/page1.jspx</page>
    <input-page-parameter id="__1">
    <from-value>#{param.p1}</from-value>
    <to-value>#{viewScope.p1}</to-value>
    </input-page-parameter>
    </view>
    in order to immediately show the parameter-dependent data on page load,
    what am i supposed to implement yet?
    at the moment i have a button calling a procedure which sets default where clause and calls execute query...
    but i'd like to see the refresh without pushing buttons
    is it about placing function to a backing bean's method? which one? what stage?
    or making additional setup in adfc-config?
    what i've found is a peace of code, probably may help:
    is that it?
    <f:view beforePhase="#{MainPageBean.phaseListener}">

    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    HttpServletRequest request = (HttpServletRequest)facesContext.getExternalContext().getRequest();
    String currentCustomerId = request.getParameter("p1");
    please advise/comment on

    grodno,
    Something like this perhaps:
      <view id="untitled1">
        <page>/untitled1.jsf</page>
        <input-page-parameter id="__5">
          <from-value>#{param.p1}</from-value>
          <to-value>#{pageFlowScope.A.a}</to-value>

      </view>and in your page definition, have an executable binding that calls a service method in your AM that takes a parameter. The service method would do whatever you need with the where clause. Bind the value of the parameter in the executable binding to #{pageFlowScope.A.a} (my managed bean) or you could even try just binding it directly to #{param.p1} - I didn't try that.
    Or, if you could make this a bounded task flow (be sure to configure it to allow URL invoke), you could make a method call activity in the task flow be the default activity. This method call activity would be made by drag-and-drop the service method from above on to the task flow and bind the parameter to #{param.p1}. Then, control flow case from that method call to the view. Didn't test this either, but should work in theory.

  • Data Action is converting in to data page with  parameter="unknown"

    Hi,
    I have created one DataAction, and drag a method from appmoduleImpl on to the created data action. that method contains one parameter as well.
    Now i want to write code in findForward() method on that action class (from gotoCode menu item). After all, if i rebuild it, it is changing to data page from data action with parameter="unknown" and giving me error. In page flow diagram also its showing data page image with Yellow coloured exclamatory mark on it.
    Anybody have any idea ???

    This is the resultant entry in struts config.xml :
    <action path="/editpage" className="oracle.adf.controller.struts.actions.DataActionMapping" type="com.abc.de.testAction" name="DataForm" parameter="unknown">
    <set-property property="modelReference" value="editpageUIModel"/>
    <set-property property="methodName" value="editpageUIModel.getFirstPageDetailsFromId"/>
    <set-property property="resultLocation" value="${requestScope.methodResult}"/>
    <set-property property="numParams" value="1"/>
    <set-property property="paramNames[0]" value="${param.Id}"/>
    <forward name="success" path/firstpage.do"/>
    </action>

  • How to paging a page using parameter?

    Hi,
    if you use ADF then pae ranging is part of it. However, I suggest to read http://blogs.oracle.com/shay/2007/03/02 and then provide the missing information

  • Welcome Page and parameter

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use the following page as my default page:
    http://myserver/home.jps?someparameter=somevalue.
    I just modified the web.xml as described into documentation, but it works only if
    I remove "someparameter=somevalue" ...
    Thank you in advance...

    Document index.html should be the first document the user seesWrite the following in your web.xml
    <welcome-file-list>
    <welcome-file>index.html</welcome-file>
    </welcome-file-list>
    In that document, you should have a series of hyperlinks for other Web pages in your site. When clicked, each hyperlink should invoke the servlet with a get request that contains a parameter.Read the servlet tutorials from http://curmudgeon99.googlepages.com/ or http://www.caucho.com/resin-3.0/servlet/tutorial/helloworld/index.xtp
    For example, the hyper link http://<servletURL>/<servletname>?page=welcome, will cause the servlet to redirect the user to the page welcome.html.in the servlet write
    String fwdPage = request.getParameter("page");
    RequestDispatcher view = response.getRequestDispatcher(fwdPage + ".html");
    view.forward(request, response);
    The list of the parameter values and corresponding URL should be dynamically generated from servlet initialization parameters. The init() method of the servlet should read all the initialization parameters from the configuration file and create a HashMap of the parameter name/value pairs (i.e. each record in the HashMap contains a parameter value and a corresponding URL). You can use the ServletContext object to pass the HashMap from the init() method to the other methods in the servlet to process the user request.read : http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/java/web_application/web_xml.html

  • Export a report from another page with parameter problems...can it be done?

    Hi All,
    I have used Dennis Excel pkg which works fine if on the same page... however, I want users to enter two dates in my items
    P5_FIRST_DATE
    P5_SECOND_DATE
    I have manged to create a button that will execute the report on the second page without parameters
    by choosing the redirect to url and this does work...
    however, when i parameterize the url, it still works but does not send across the values
    here is what i am using in the url
    #a href="f?p=102:7:3458199286078769:FLOW_EXCEL_OUTPUT_R2491013790251874" ##a href="f?p=102:0:3458199286078769:DOWNLOAD_EXCEL:NO::T_REGION_ID,T_EXCEL_NAME,T_PAGE,PFIRST_DATE:R2491013790251874,my_report,7,:P5_FIRST_DATE"
    This does work... but does not putt the parameters across
    Can this be done? or is there a better way of doing this. I dont really want them to see the report because it just a list of urns with dates which the user enters which they will always want to download
    so i just want them to add the dates and download
    thanks for your time in reading this
    cheers

    Fazlar,
    This is how you do it:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=23521:8
    You should never name your items
    P5_FIRST_DATE
    and put the item on the page 8. This is confusing and costs a lot of time to find out an item
    doesn't exist.

    Hi,
    your BSP page get's integrated via an iFrame. So, simply speaking, it's not possible to pass an parameter back.
    But what you can try is to use the Portal DataBag component. In the BSP page, store the information you want to pass in the browser. The iView/Portal than has to check if there is a new parameter / value stored.

  • Pass page parameter to discoverer portlet

    Hi All,
    iAS Version 10g(9.0.4)
    I created worksheet(graph) using Discoverer plus having 4 parameters. I published the
    discoverer graphs as discoverer portlet in Oracle portal. However for this worksheet it shows
    (No parameters) in Page --> Properties --> parameter. I created simple parameter portlet with
    4 items, this entry I need to pass to this discoverer portlet/Worksheet.
    Any suggestion would help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thank for your reply.

  • Dynamic pages / parameter and navigation links

    hi all!
    my goal is to develop a portal page , with a naviagtion region on the left side (this is a dynamic page in which links are defined) and on the right side there should be the main region (also a dynamic page , with parameter input). Now, it should be possible to pass different parameters to the main region dynamic page, by clicking on the different links in the menu region. Each link should pass an other parameter to the main dynamic page. How is that possible ? (using as10g)

    Basicly each space has their own navigation model. I don't know if it's possible to share navigation models from one space to another...

  • Passing parameter in href to a different Portal page

    Hello All,
    I have requirement where I have a portlet A in portal page 1. Portlet A is a JSP which has a href pointing to the url of a different portal page (page 2) having the portlet B.
    <a href=".../pls/portal30/url/page/page2
    When I click on the link on portlet A, I need to pass some parameters to the portlet B in second page.
    I know there's no straight forward way to do this. Could you all please share me your experiences and advice me asap.
    Thanks in anticipation.

    I have an example of two portlets on the same page and parameter is passed from one
    to another. The idea should be the same
    is the other portlet in on another page.
    Hope this helps.

    select htf.anchor('http://iasqa-ultra1.us.oracle.com:7777/servlet/page?_pageid=117&_dad=wwv_30898&_schema=WWV_30898&_mode=3&dept='&#0124; &#0124;deptno, deptno) aaa, dname, loc from SCOTT.dept
    The url here is the page url with extra parameter for dept, the bind variable
    in the detail report
    Report 2: detail report
    SQL report, on scott.emp
    select * from scott.emp where deptno = :dept
    Add the following PL/SQL code in the "before displaying the page"
    wwv_30898.wwv_name_value.replace_value(
    l_arg_names, l_arg_values, p_reference_path&#0124; &#0124;'.dept', wwv_30898.wwv_standard_util.string_to_table2(nvl(get_value('dept'), 10)));
    Build a page and include these 2 portlets, then when you click
    on the link of the summary report, the page will be refreshed,
    and the detail report changed based on the data from the summary report.
    Here is the url for my example,

  • Set and read page parameter using a java portlet

    I created a portlet that takes a parameter. I wantt his parameter to be set by the admin in the page parameter section. The portlet that I crated has a parameter. In the providers it has the following:
    <inputParameter class="oracle.portal.provider.v2.DefaultParameterDefinition">
    <name>param</name>
    <displayName>displayParam</displayName>
    </inputParameter>
    However, when I go to the page propertie/parameter, I can "bind" a parameter. How can I do that?
    Thanks,
    Marcelo

    Marcelo,
    This was what I've given you above...
    From 7.1.3 Passing Parameters and Submitting Events jump to Section 2.12, "Public Portlet Parameters Support".
    Public portlet parameters:
    You can use a public portlet parameter to pass a value to a portlet. Using portlet parameters, the information that is displayed in a portlet can be specific to a particular page or a user. Portlet parameters are created by the portlet developer and are exposed to the page designer, through the user interface. After adding a portlet to a page, page designers can assign values to the public portlet parameters to make the information displayed in the portlet specific to the page.
    Page designers can assign values to public portlet parameters by providing a specific value (constant), a system variable (for example, the portal user name), or a page parameter. At run time, the portlet receives the values from the sources specified. In this way, page designers have complete control over the source of the parameter, whereas you have complete control over how the data is used after it is transmitted to the portlet.
    ...and in 7.1.3 Passing Parameters and Submitting Events as assumption is "You have followed through and understood Section 6.3.2, "Building PDK-Java Portlets".
    This why I've said to read it carefully... I hope this helps you further...
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

    Hi sql9,
    According to your description, you have a report with a parameter for selecting countries. Now you need to display records for one country and show the country name on each page. Right?
    For this requirement, we need to add a parent group (Group on Country) so that we can set page break for each country. Also, we want to display the country name on each page. This country name is group name, not the parameter because the parameter contains
    all countries that we have selected. In this scenario, we just need to set the group name as page name, then display the Page Name (Build-in Field) in report header. You case has been tested in our local environment. Here are steps and screenshots for your
    reference:
    1. Create a table in report. Set detail rows group on Country. Set page break between each group instance.
    2. Create a parameter for filtering data. Set Filter on tablix.
    3. Go to Row Groups, select group Country. In Tablix Member Properties grid, go to Group->PageName. Put “=Fields!Country.Value” in expression.
    4. Create a textbox in report header. Put Page Name (in Build-in Fields) into the textbox.
    5. Save and preview. It looks like below:

  • How to create a report and summarize some columns per page

    Hi all,
    I need to create a HTML report using the OA Framework Extension and it needs summarize some values columns highlighted similar to what can be done when using Report6i. Is there some class or package or a region or page's parameter that permits me to do that?
    I also thought to summarize the values and put them in a table with a column saying that the line is a simple value or a summary and just put those values in html table. My problem still how to hightlight the html table line when the value "summary" is being fetched.
    Any suggestion????
    Thanks in Advance!!!

    Essentially you want to write a pl/sql function which returns a varchar2 string. The contents of the string must be a valid sql statement.
    Once you have done this, you need to add a report region as type sql report and you will have the option of writing it as a query or as a function returning query. Choose function returning query and enter in the function call.
    Note your function must be valid, and must be executable by your apex parsing schema.
    example:
    create or replace
    function test_report(   p1_tablename       in varchar2)
    return varchar2
    is
    v_query varchar2(4000);
    begin
    v_query  :=
    'SELECT * from '||p_tablename;
    return v_query;
    end test_report;Edited by: Keith Jamieson on Aug 15, 2011 4:50 PM
