Welcome Page and parameter

Question

Hi,
I'm trying to use the following page as my default page:
http://myserver/home.jps?someparameter=somevalue.
I just modified the web.xml as described into documentation, but it works only if
I remove "someparameter=somevalue" ...

Document index.html should be the first document the user seesWrite the following in your web.xml
<welcome-file-list>
<welcome-file>index.html</welcome-file>
</welcome-file-list>
In that document, you should have a series of hyperlinks for other Web pages in your site. When clicked, each hyperlink should invoke the servlet with a get request that contains a parameter.Read the servlet tutorials from http://curmudgeon99.googlepages.com/ or http://www.caucho.com/resin-3.0/servlet/tutorial/helloworld/index.xtp
For example, the hyper link http://<servletURL>/<servletname>?page=welcome, will cause the servlet to redirect the user to the page welcome.html.in the servlet write

The list of the parameter values and corresponding URL should be dynamically generated from servlet initialization parameters. The init() method of the servlet should read all the initialization parameters from the configuration file and create a HashMap of the parameter name/value pairs (i.e. each record in the HashMap contains a parameter value and a corresponding URL).
