Page redirect with HTML snipets

I want to create a blank page that redirects upon load to a different page. I created a blank page in iweb (navigation off) in put an HTML snippet on the page. The contents of this snippet is:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><title></title><meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url= http://www.theteelfamily.com/EEblog/index.php/G4_site/index" /></head><body></body></html>
When I click apply it opens a page in safari to the correct page. But when I publish the page to my site the redirect doesn't work. For some reason I can't paste the source text for that page into this post. It results in missing text in the display.
Can someone please help me achieve the results I am looking to achieve?
Thanks

It will not work in html snippet, see i posts:

  • Java Applet in a HTML page: failing with PLS-00306: wrong number of args

    We are trying to use a Java Applet in a HTML page. as our system needs to be able to retrieve a predefined set of data from a third party system that uses Dynamic Data Exchange Protocol (DDE) and are encountering errors from APEX and in IE itself.
    We are using JavaDde from www.nevaobject.com that enables our Java applet to interact with Windows applications (Third Party System) using DDE.
    This functionality is currently used in our Web Form 6i application and we are trying to use the same in the new ApEx application.
    We are using ApEx version : 2.1 and actually aer encountering 2 problems:
    Problem 1: ApEx failing with PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'ACCEPT'
    Problem 2: IE crashes if Applet used in a complex page with several regions (1 Context, 4 Report Regions, 2 level Tabs, Links)
    This problem does not occur in the page where there is only applet and one region. In the case of complex page the IE crashes if the page is reloaded
    Test scenario:
    1- Create a simple page with the HTML region.
    2- Define the Source of the above region as follows
    <OBJECT CLASSID="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"
    CODEBASE="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-windows-i586.cab#version=1,4,0,0"
    WIDTH="1"
    HEIGHT="1"
    ID="simpleApplet"
    NAME="simpleApplet">
    <PARAM NAME="code" VALUE="simpleApplet.class" >
    <PARAM NAME="archive" VALUE="simpleApplet.jar" />
    <PARAM NAME="type" VALUE="application/x-java-applet;version=1.4">
    </OBJECT>
    3- Create a simple Java applet "simpleApplet" - for the test its enough if the applet will have just the init method printing out the mesage to the console
    4- Create a Submit Button (not redirect) in Region Header and create unconditional (do not set When Button Pressed property) Page Branch to navigate to another page (the page without the applet)
    6- Run the page and Submit -
    The error below is returned by the engine:
    In our case our applet is called ddeApplet - I do not know why is ApEx passing the Applet's ID down to the wwv_flow.accept method as a parameter

    "theArrow",
    It looks like whatever HTML you're including on your page is creating HTML input form elements inside the HTML form "wwv_flow". This form is posted to wwv_flow.accept, and of course, the PL/SQL procedure wwv_flow.accept doesn't know anything these additional arguments/form elements you're attempting to POST.

  • I have a number of pages with html extension in different files. Is it possible to merge them into one file? Is it possible to convert them into another file type such as PDF, MOBI, or EPUB? Thanks

    While downloading an eBook from internet, I found a book in a folder containing around 123 files, which is equivalent to the number of pages of the book.
    My interest is to bring them together in one file so that I can read it at a time. As the interface is not comfortable with html, I also like to convert it into another more suitable file format.

    Hello djensen1x,
    Could you please let me know what version of Acrobat are you using.
    Also, tell me your workflow of combining those PDF files?
    Please share the screenshot of the error message that you get.
    Hope to get your response.
    Regards,
    Anubha

  • Please help to send an email with html page in body

    I need an html page on the body of an email to send an email blast to our customers.

    HTML Emails can be a bit tricky. You can design them in Dreamweaver, but you really shouldn't send mass email through your personal email account (or your company account). That could get you blacklisted by corporate spam filters and make your email addresses pretty much useless.
    For mass email campaigns (over a few hundred email addresses) I use http://www.icontact.com.
    You can build the email right through their site (without DW) or you can import your html from DW to their service.
    Some things to keep in mind with HTML email...
    1. Use absolute links to images and files on a server you control
    2. Use a limited amount of inline css (no external or embedded css)
    3. Use table based layouts, css support is spotty at best with email clients
    4. The <head> will be stripped from a number of email clients, don't rely on anything between the <head> tags making it to your recipients
    5. Don't use an image-only email. HTML text is very important to keep it from being labeled spam, make the images secondary to the message, many email clients will not download images without the user's say-so
    6. Include an opt-out link so people can get off your list
    There are more things to watch out for, but those are the big ones. Here is some more good info: http://alt-web.com/Articles/HTML-Emails.shtml

  • PHP page with HTML and /HTML DOCTYPE ??

    The sample forms that come with my formmail script start out
    with a <php
    and ?> then has embeded php code within the following
    <html> - but no
    DOCTYPE is specified.
    Do I need a doctype in this kind of document?
    Where should it to?
    Above the initial <php?
    After the ?> and before the <html>
    OK - dumb question, but Quirks is bad and I don't know the
    answer.

    The W3C validator will never see the PHP since it will have
    already been
    stripped from the page by the server before uploading the
    resulting HTML
    page to the validator.
    > Is there really any value to ending the document file

    Of course if the page contains PHP then there is (unless you
    have your
    server set to parse all file extensions). And, in general,
    there is a
    benefit to naming all pages with *.php extensions in that if
    you ever decide
    to add PHP scripting to any page in your site, you don't have
    to worry
    about search engine ramifications when you change that file's
    extension.
    Good luck Dan!

  • Problem with history when ther is page redirection after 'go back' button is clicked.

    Recently I was developing some application which requires request redirection from server when the browser's 'go back' button is clicked. At that time while I was testing implemented behaviour i noticed that when i go one page back forward button is disabled and when I want to go back again I am returned one the same page over and over again. It seems that there is a problem with history and how firefox handles a page redirection.
    In other browsers everything goes as it should and there isn't any such problem with history.
    I hope that this problem will be solved in the next version.

  • Custom Master Page issue with Document Set Libraries

    Details: Publishing site using SharePoint 2013.  The SharePoint is on my company's servers.
    Have a custom Master page that has a navigation banner (built with HTML/CSS/javascript).  The site has it applied successfully to the "Site Master Page" but when I also apply it to the "System Master Page", the libraries that have
    Document Set type content do not show the files within.   We'd like to be successful in applying to the "System Master Page" as that allows the banner to show when an actual library is accessed.    Any suggestions, please?

    Thanks. I've been experimenting with this for a few days now, and there's lots I don't understand about why and such, but your process above works. That's a big load off me right now and I really appreciate it. I'm going to be able to survive the initial
    roll-out and implementation of the new site. Going forward, I've got lots to learn and find out, I've already heard that there's a desire to really redesign the master page for the site and subsites, way beyond the little CSS customization I did. Fun.
    If you've got a little time though, perhaps you can provide some explanation. If not, no problem.
    On step 6, when I do as you detail, click the System Master Page and reset all the subsites, it seems to work fine with my custom master page. If I do that with the Site Master Page settings, my custom page causes the redirect issue in the subsites again.
    This is whether I do the Site Master Page by itself, or in conjunction with the System Master Page settings. If I revert back to the Seattle master page in the Site Master Page settings and my custom pate in the System Master Page, the issue goes away again.
    It is completely messing with my head, trying to figure out why that would be, and this is all beside trying to figure out why adding the one little CSS reference to the Seattle master to create my master page breaks things (sometimes!).
    Just fyi, what I've ended up with for now is pulling my custom master page out of the system and using the Alternate CSS URL to add my custom CSS to the Seattle master page on the sites. As I thought about all this, I decided I didn't want to leave the breakable
    custom page out there for some unsuspecting site manager to accidentally pick and get everyone screaming about the broken sites.
    Thanks again,
    Steven

  • Website pages ending in .html

    I just created our new website in DW and all the pages end in .html  Unfortunately, this does not match the website pages I am replacing and students will receive an error message when they go to a bookmarked page, etc.  It will also cause problems with other websites that also have our site linked.  Is there a fix for this?
    New to DW

    If you currently have .htm extensions and your new files are .html, you can do a htaccess rewrite if you're hosting on an Apache (*Nix) server in your website root directory to redirect all .htm to .html (to match your new file extensions).
    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^(.*)\.htm$ $1.html [R=permanent]
    This will rewrite all .htm files to .html with a permanent redirect - which is also search engine friendly.

  • Page break in html report

    Hi all,
    I am sending a report to external user e-mail id from SAP. The user is receiving the report in html format.
    The user asks me they need a page break on the report after each customer data. I am wondering is it possible to have a page break in html report? If yes, how it is possible?

    Hi,
    I insist : it is not possible with HTML to insert Page breaks. BUT, Tammie is right! You can use CSS (Cascade Style Sheet) to insert page breaks thanks to few lines of code in your HTML page.
    Follow this link to have a look at a very simple piece of code to illustrate this :
    http://www.codeave.com/css/code.asp?u_log=4016
    Here it the code if you don't have access to this URL :

    Hey Guys,
    I was wondering if anyone knows how I could include the behavior that the "Page Path" Item provides, but I would like to do it in an HTML Pageskin. Seems like this would be fairly common for those people using page skins.
    Thanks

  • Textarea with HTML editor is not working

    Hi all,
    This is producing me a real headache.
    I created the simplest application in the world with one Textarea with HTML editor, and the editor control does not show the usual tool bar for fonts, color, alignment, etc. Just a ordinary textarea.
    Moreover, this was working before... I moved to another location in my work (me, not the server). Yes, I thought about the Internet Explorer, but Firefox has the same issue.
    So any idea I can try to make this work?
    I have another applications already in production with the same issue.
    Need help!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks in advance.
    Lukas.

    Lukas,
    I would go and integrate FCKEDITOR (http://www.fckeditor.net/ ) into your application.
    Here are instructions on how to achieve this (sorry but only in German):
    http://www.oracle.com/global/de/community/tipps/einbinden_fckeditor/index.html
    It basically means:
    1) copying the files from fckeditor under the /images directory
    (you can use the instructions here: http://daust.blogspot.com/2006/03/where-are-images-of-application.html)
    2) creating two shortcuts INCLUDE_EDITOR_SCRIPTS and EDITOR
    3) placing the shortcut INCLUDE_EDITOR_SCRIPTS into the page html header and
    4) placing the shortcut EDITOR into the post element text of your plain textarea element
    That's it.
    BTW, FCKEDITOR has been included in Apex 3.0 as a standard item type.
    Regards,
    ~Dietmar.

  • Replacing non-ASCII characters with HTML charcter references

    Hi All,
    In Oracle 10g or greater is there a built-in function that will convert a string with non-ASCII characters like this
    a b č 뮼
    into an ASCII string with HTML character references like this?
    a b & # x 0 1 0 D ; & # x B B B C ;
    (note I had to include spaces between each character in the sample code for message to prevent the forum software from converting my text)
    I tried using
    utl_i18n.escape_reference( val, 'us7ascii' )
    but for some reason it returns
    a b c & # x B B B C ;
    Note how it converted the Western European character "č" to its unaccented counterpart "c", not "& # x 0 1 0 D ;" (is this a bug?).
    I also tried a custom solution using regexp_replace and asciistr (which I can't include here because the forum software chokes on it) but it only returns the correct result for values <=4000 characters long. Unfortunately asciistr doesn't appear to accept CLOB values larger than 4000 characters. It returns an error message like
    (ORA-22835: Buffer too small for CLOB to CHAR or BLOB to RAW conversion (actual: 30251, maximum: 4000) ).
    I'm looking for a solution that works on CLOB data of any size.
    Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

    So with that (UTF8) in mind, let's take another look.....
    As shown below, I used a AL32UTF8 database.
    Note: I did not use a unicode capable tool for querying. So I set console mode code page to 1250 just to have č displayed properly (instead of posing as an è).
    Also, as a result of using windows-1250 for client character set, in the val column and in the second select's ncr column (iso8859-1), è (00e8) has been replaced with e through character set conversion going from server back to client.
    Running the same code on a database with a db character set such as we8mswin1252, that doesn't define the č (latin small c with caron) character, would yield results with a c in the ncr column.
    C:\>chcp 1250
    Aktuell teckentabell: 1250
    C:\>set nls_lang=.ee8mswin1250
