Page should open on Post Request

How can i make a jsp page that it always open on a POST request ,,,,, if somebody try to open it directly it should go toooooo an error page.

You could use request.getMethod() .equals("POST") to see if it is a post request and redirect otherwise.

How to create a 4 page pdf from images - each page should open at same size

How do I create a 4 page pdf (from 4 images - all the same size) that opens each page at full page size?

My goal is to create multi page pdfs that are created from images (scans of old brochures). I receive images (scans of pages) all at the same size.
I have been able to create the 4 pdfs (each opens at full page size) and merge into 1 pdf. When I open that final pdf, I see a column of 4 pages, page 1 image being larger than the remaining 3. When I click on the left, page 1, icon, I get the full page. When I click on icons for pages 2 - 4, I get nothing. The only way I can get the other pages in a full page view is to adjust the scaling after left icon is selected. That is not what I want.
How I created the files.
I can either create pdf pages using Photoshop, or using Acrobat Pro itself through:
File> Create PDF> From File and adding each of the images. I then, for each, choose Properties> Initial View> Fit Page> Save. Then I use File> Combine> Merge Files into Single PDF> Save.
Then I open the multi page pdf.
I appreciate any help.

It seems to me what you want to do is create one document which a combination of all four and then one page of each.
To create a Document with 4 pages combined in to one PDF. open the first in a Series the to Edit menu and click on add pages click on next document (browse to document first) the choose attach to to end of document or add to end of document. Repeat until you get all images added. They will end up (or should ) center in center of their own page. Save this document with a new name for now.
Next go back to Photo shop and reduce size of images to fit desired sheet of paper (8-1/2 by 11, 8-1/2 by 14, whatever) place them side by side and row by row so you have 4 images on one page.
now save as Pdf.
now decide which you want to swap to the Thumbnails (the 4 on one page, or 4 individual pages. I would use the thumbnails and make each a button that references the page in the document you save as a 4 page pdf that applies.
Then on that page write a line saying click each illustration to see full size image (you might have to write this line while in Photoshop) then save this as PDF file
Try out. You might have to use some javascript controls to do this. But I am not experienced in JavaScript to do this. I'm sure it cane be done.
But note you will have to save both documents with the Thumbnails and the four page and Thumbnail page in a folder and send to prospect
If you want just four separate pages in one Pdf just do first two paragraphs above

Page Expire - How to keep in cach from post request !!!

I have a big problem with the back button resulting in Page Expired message. The system framework is to call servlets from any page. A servlets will perform necessary computations and forward the request with additional objects to a jsp page, which will in turn construct the page and display it to a user. Some of the constracted pages have back button, which simply redirects to the previous page.
The problem that I have has been described in multiple forums before, but still appears to be not solved. When I press the back button that shall display previous page, generated by the Post request, I get Page Expired message. Note that this occurs only in IE (I am using 6.0 with SP1) and not in Mozilla (I am using 1.3). I did my homework and tried the following code in different combinations, but unsuccessful:

None seems to work in IE. It appears that the IE refuses to cache the page generated by the post request at all times.
The application that I am working is huge and this is a big problem for us, we need to support IE with back buttons.

specification.Yep - section 13.10 for anyone who can't sleep. I believe the idea is that methods such as POST, PUT and DELETE cause an update at the server and so caching makes no sense - the client needs to view a new copy.
To quote the spec:
Some HTTP methods MUST cause a cache to invalidate an entity. This is either the entity referred to by the Request-URI, or by the Location or Content-Location headers (if present). These methods are:

- DELETE

I have a strange requirment, After I logged into Istore I have added some items to my cart and I am able to see the total quote, here instead of clicking on place order button I have requested for a new button when the user clicks on the button each item and respected price, total details of the quote page should open in pdf format
Can any one help me regarding this ? Did anybody worked on this kind of stuff? any suggestions will be helpful

Use the iText API .Its free.
1.Create another jsp and pass all the values to that jsp. iText will create pdf. Let me know if you need further help.

Link which should open up on a new browser

Hi,
I need to create a link on a self service page through OA frame work. My requirement is that when the user clicks on the link the new page should open up into a new browser. The link is embedded in a tip on the message. The tip is actually a AOL message.
It should look like this...
Tip: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.Click HERE to view.
HERE should be the link to the new page.
When I try to incorporate the blank or new tags in the html tags in the messgae itself and call it in JDEV...in the TIP...new page opens up in the same window.
Have tried creating a LINK ITEM. But Placing the link ITEM on the page seems difficult. Are their attributes which control the placing, Fond, color of such LINK ITEMS?

I prefer NOT to use "tabs" but have all new web pages I open come up in new windows...

I just downloaded the newest version of Firebox and I don't like the tabs feature. Every time I click on a link within a web page or do anything else that takes me to a different web page, please open a new window.

Links that you click on a web page should open in the same tab or in a new window if you deselect:

I am new in OAF. And I am tired of looking forsolution...
I have a requrement. In the "Request Monitor" page, requests result should open in a new window. It means that each user's click on "View request result" should open in a new browser window.
I have found url like this in access.log:

This url returned from package : fnd_webfile.get_url. And this package is used in about 30 java files...
And I do not know which one of these files is used in my page...
Finally, I want to add ' target="_blank" ' to result html code. Like this:
Maybe It can be done a more simply way?

click on "Personalize Page" link which is at the top right corner of the page. Select "Complete View" radio button and click on "Expand All" link. Search for item "link". If your page has more than one link then choose the link item which is related to "View request result". Click on "Personalize" pencil icon corresponding to "link" item/region. Change the "Target Frame" property value to "_blank" under "Site" level. Click on "Apply" button.

1. Activate personalization to user, by setting profile "Yes" value on user level:
Personalize Self-Service Defn / FND_CUSTOM_OA_DEFINTION
2. Personalize 2 regions items (Image & Link)
( Don't ask me how !!! ;)
Image have not Target Property. I move URI to Link Region Item and remove in step 4 from Image Region Item.
3. Export page and my region

6. After install on PROD, You need to "bounce the apache". Additionally, it need to modify / upply button once on a region link. Right now I can not explain exactly, how it helps... But finnaly changes after 'XMLImporter' command will applyed after modify / upply manipulations.

I wonder if you are running an OS earlier than 10.9.x? If so, you cannot run the *latest* version of Pages, which is 5.1. Apple is trying to get you to update your OS to 10.9 Mavericks and then get you to update (but defintiely not upgrade) your Pages version to 5.1. 5.1 is, in everything but name, beta software. It not only has many bugs, it also lacks more than 90 features that are present in version 4.3 ("Pages 09"). One workaround that is to open the file with Pages for icloud (this is explcitly beta) and click tools|download a copy in Word format. Pages 4.3, which is probably the version you have, can open Word documents. Get a cup of coffee or a glass of wine before starting Pages for icloud: it is s-l-o-w.

Ctrl+left click on a link or bookmark will open in a new tab. That is a standard Firefox keyboard shortcut. Middle-click will do the same (Middle-click = press the scroll wheel). On the following page, scroll down to "Web Navigation" or Find (Ctrl+F), enter "Ctrl+lef" (without quotation marks) in the Find box. Read the footnote 4 about how to change from background tab to foreground tab.

Output should open in new page

Hi,
I have a OAF page. I extended the controller which creates the button. When we click this button, it is calling a concurrent request and gets the output in pdf format and gives the option of open, save, and cancel. When we click open, the pdf file gets opened in the current page. How can I open the dialog open, save and cancel in another new page so that when the user clicks open, the page gets opened in the new page.

A new tab is opening when I click anything on a page. Options that should open within the same window are opening in a new tab. How do I fix this?

I am currently using 16.0.2. I just did the update a day or two ago. Suddenly today, when I click anything on the page, it opens in a new tab. Just moving through the wizard options to get to this point in submitting this issue opened 7 tabs. How do I fix this? I only want new pages to open in new tabs. If I select 'Next Page' or perform a google search, I don't want a new tab to open. This is getting ridiculous. It's the third time this has happened.....always happens after an update from you guys.....and I can never find the fix in your support pages, and have to submit a question.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
