Pages 4.2 and Color Emoji Font

Can it be true that the new Pages update still does not support the Apple Color Emoji font which Apple included with 10.7?  Does everyone else also find that the color versions will not display?

I meant to say Pages 4.2. I'll bet you guessed that. I never owned Pages 2.2.

  • Lexical References for reports 9i (graph and colors)

    hi,
    1) i want to use lexical parameters for graph and colors
    like font,background,foreground,text and so on....
    for graph :
    width,height,x-axis,y-axis and so on....
    my reports are saved in .jsp .
    it is possible or not .if possible please help me.
    it's very urgent.
    2) I have created a report with graph at the beginning of the first page
    I got result with graph and corresponding data in tabular format and saved in .jsp file.
    Graph is shown at the beginning of the report as I desired followed by
    data.(i.e. First Page).
    From next page I am not able to get the data
    from the top of the page instead a gap with the size of the graph is available
    which is blank.
    I need to produce graph only on the first page and the other pages with just the
    data without a gap reserved for graph.
    with regard's
    vijay

    1) Yes, you can use lexical references in the generated graph XML (I presume that you're talking about 9i). However, this functionality is only available in patch 1 and above (patch 2 is now available, and can be downloaded from Metalink).
    2) Create a frame around the graph (and make sure that the graph is contained by the frame, i.e., move it forwards). Make the frame vertically variable.
    Hope this helps,
    Danny

  • Adding text to indesign pages with specific font ,size,and color using javascript

    Hello,
    Using javascript i am able to add some text to each page of an indesign file.
    myNewText = "SOME TEXT"
    myTextFrame = myPage.textFrames.item(0);
    tempframe = myTextFrame.contents;
    myTextFrame.contents =  myNewText + tempframe ;
    But i want to specify the font used,size and color for that text.
    When i try the code mentioned in indesign javascript scripting guide
    myNewText .appliedFont = app.fonts.item("Times New Roman");
    myNewText .fontStyle = "Bold";
    nothing gets changed and font family already used stays the same.
    How can i do that only for the added text and not for the whole content?I dont want to add the text to a new text frame I want to append it to the existing text frame.
    And is there a way to specify font size too?
    thank you

    There's a mixup going on here. Let's see if we can sort out some of it
    at least.
    If you just want to add new text to an already existing text frame,
    that's easy:
    myTextFrame.contents += "Hello";
    But if you want the new text to have unique formatting, it's a little
    more complicated.
    There are two simple ways to do it, I think:
    1. Create a temporary text frame, as you have done, and add the text,
    and format everything in there. Then move() that formatted text to the
    end of myTextFrame and delete the temporary frame:
    tempFrame = app.activeDocument.textFrames.add();
    tempFrame.contents = "New Text";
    tempFrame.paragraphs[0].appliedFont = app.fonts.itemByName("Times New
    Roman"); // etc...
    tempFrame.paragraphs[0].move(myTextFrame.insertionPoints[-1],
    LocationOptions.AFTER);
    tempFrame.remove();
    2. The other option, is to add the text directly to your textFrame. But
    if you want to format only that text, you have to store where the text
    started:
    myTextFrame = app.selection[0];
    firstInsertionPoint = myTextFrame.insertionPoints[-1].index;
    myTextFrame.contents += "New Text";
    myAddedText =
    myTextFrame.characters.itemByRange(myTextFrame.insertionPoints[firstInsertionPoint],
    myTextFrame.insertionPoints[-1]);
    myAddedText.appliedFont = app.fonts.itemByName("Trajan Pro"); // etc.
    What you've done in your sample script, however, is to try to apply a
    font to a simple JavaScript string. It won't work, but the way you did
    it, it won't throw an error either, because in fact you've created a new
    property of your string. (myString = "Hello"; myString.appliedFont =
    "Times"; // myString now has a Javascript property called appliedFont --
    but that's nothing to do with InDesign!)

  • I want to override webpage fonts but tools/options/fonts and colors/advanced/[]Allow pages to choose their own fonts doesn't work (unchecking it)

    tools/options/fonts and colors/colors does work to some extent - it does not overide link colors, but I don't really care about that. ^+ and ^- (ie control plus/minus) do work to change size to some extent - everything bigger/smaller, but of course not everything size=20, eg. I know there must be a way to do this sort of thing because years ago I could do it in Netscape.

    Some extensions that you can look at:
    * Default FullZoom Level - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/6965
    * NoSquint - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/2592

  • Is there a way to disallow web pages to modify foreground color of elements if background of those elements was not changed as well (and vice versa)?

    I have very sensible defaults for my display; i.e. I have dark GTK scheme (dark gray background, light gray text) that suits me way more when working on my computer while it's dark around. I, however, like looking at web pages as how they were mean to be seen. Unfortunately, most of web designers don't think about anyone having non-default colors set up.
    Example one ( http://www.cedok.cz ):
    This site's CSS style has "color: rgb(45, 45, 45);" for the whole <body> but for <select> elements there is no "background-color" set. This means there is a select box rendered with dark gray background and dark gray foreground (text color). This is pretty badly readable (obviously).
    To mention one particular element from this site: e.g. <select id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolderLevySloupec_HledaniMultiTab1_HledaniZajezdu1_ddlTypZajezdu">
    Example two ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop/customize/form ):
    On this page (where I'm currently filling in this question) the <textarea id="id_content"> has "background: ... rgb(255, 255, 255);" set, but with my default font color, this textarea is rendered as light gray text on a white background. Again, pretty unreadable (and eye-hurting).
    I can provide screenshots and more reasoning if needed.
    I'm asking if there is (or might be) an option (even disabled by default) or at least an add-on which would keep default colors unless both foreground and background colors were specified. I think this might make Firefox very usable for many people which like to have their default colors configured.
    In case you won't be able to help me by fixing this, could you redirect me to the right place where I could get this requested in a way that might be really possible to happen (bugzilla?).
    Thank you very much in advance.

    Thanks for the reply, but I'm sorry, no. I don't want any addon that customizes colors, I want to use default colors and only prohibit changing them unless both background and foreground colors are changed.
    I have made no color changes WRT to Firefox *only*, I just changed the default for the whole toolkit (gtk in this case). The thing I need is to disable changing *only one* property out of two ({back,fore}ground). Whenever the second one gets set as well, this new setting (both of them) may get reflected, but not before that. It'd be nice to keep this when changing the colors back (deleting the style), but that's not necessary.
    I hope that's understandable, feel free to ask for if that's not the case.
    To express what I mean a bit more precisely, see the attached image. In that image there are four textareas (one of the elements that gets affected by this). First one is a default one (which I want to have if the page has nothing set), the second one is nicely modified to fit for example to a blue-ish page (this one I like as well).
    Second row of textareas shows how the final element looks like if the page has only one of these elements set up. First one changes background without changing font color, the second one vice versa. Both of them are very badly readable, especially with low lighting around.
    This is consequently the same case when it comes to default page background which I cannot set at all, because too many pages have only "color:" set without changed background and that is completely messed up then. Going to extremes, I might mention all color-related modifications (see how ugly the borders look when the background is changed and nothing is done to these borders, their size and color is kept default), but I understand that's too much.

  • I would like to print links as regular text i.e. not underlined or in a different font and color.

    I have created a page with my resumé, using Dreamweaver CS4 on my iMac (running OS X 10.6.6).  You can see the page here: http://www.peterforkes.com/Resume.html
    It looks great when it is on the screen, but when I print it I would like the links to not be underlined and also to be displayed in the same font (and color) of the text surrounding it (a link is largely useless on a piece of paper, if it it not showing the URL).
    So, I created a stylesheet called "print.css" and have this in it:
    a:link {
    text-decoration: none;
    In my html document (Resume.html)  I have this code, at the top:
    <link href="_css/Resume.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" />
    <link href="_css/Print.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print" />
    Now, things such as the graphics in my document do not print out (this is how I want it) but links seesm to be doing unexpected things for me.  As I mentioned, when I print the page I would like them to:
    a) not print with an underline (which I would expect the code snippet shown above to do).
    b) I would like the link color to be the same as the surrounding text (I have links in several places, such as in <h2>, <h3> and <p>).
    c) I would like the link to have the same font and text size as the surrounding text.
    Any help is always appreciated.
    Peter A. Forkes

    You've solved it for a:link but you may print the page with the <a> tag in link or visited state so you need to cover both.
    In http://www.peterforkes.com/_css/Print.css
    change
    a:link {
    text-decoration: none;
    to
    a:link, a:visited {
    color: #333;
    text-decoration: none;

  • How do I change header/footer print options for font, font size, and color?

    I know how to change the text for web page print of footers/headers. I can see no option to change font, font color, or font size (such as available on IE). I want to change the font, font color and font size of the footer/header when I print a web page. I read the FAQs, found nothing that seems to fit. Can you assist? or is this option available on Mozilla. I have the latest/greatest version (set to auto update).

    OK, my question was about how to change font/color in headers/footers... This suggestion changes the font/color in the text, but NOT in the footers, unless I want everything in the same font/color. I need footers/headers in RED BOLD. I can do this on IE, but there does not seem to be an option for Mozilla.

  • Changing link navigation bar font and color

    Is it possible to change the font and color on the links for each page on iWeb?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Yes, with the code and a HTML snippet that's described in this tutorial: #24 - How to Change the Basic, Rollover and Visited Color of an iWeb Navbar.
    However, if you want to create a site that is more search engine friendly I suggest you create a text based navbar as described in this demo page: Text Based Navbar. If you don't have a lot of pages in your site it's not too difficult.

  • My typewriter toolbar is graying out the ability to change font size, type, and color.

    My typewriter toolbar is graying out the ability to change font size, type, and color.

    Here's what I have done in the past. Maybe not elegant, but
    it works. (I
    use PHP, but I'm sure you can modify for ASP.)
    In the HEAD of each web page, include regular old embedded
    STYLE tags,
    but INCLUDE an external PHP file:
    <head>
    <style type="text/css">
    <?php include('styles/testcss.php'); ?>
    </style>
    </head>
    Now in that included PHP file, just have CSS code which pulls
    in your
    dynamic data. Here's an example snippet:
    body {
    color: #600;
    background-color: <?php echo
    $row_recordset['bgcolor'];?>
    Of course, you'll need the code for the recordset somewhere
    too.

  • Font and Color Changes

    I have created my website pages using color on my
    fonts and selecting specific fonts. When I publish the pages and

    Here's a list of fonts found on Windows PCs and Macs. If
    you're not
    using one of them then you can't guarantee it will be
    installed on the
    target computer.

  • Fonts and Colors for Sub-Tabs

    Does anyone know of a way that I can specifiy fonts and colors
    for sub-tabs. I have a second row of tabs (sub-tabs) on one of
    my pages and I can't seem to find where I can set the font and
    colors for the sub-tabs. Also, the sub-tabs do not inherit the
    same font and color as the main tabs.
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi, What I can tell you is that you can either edit the page and
    hit the style tab then edit the current style(the one you are
    currently using in your page) and change all the banners tabs
    (active and inactive) the background color, background image,
    etc, I believe the second tab row and any others are by default
    the same as the first row.

  • How do I change font and colors back to default?

    I have changed the font and color of the text through the tools button and the options button and the content tab. I find nothing telling me how to change the font and colors back to default font and colors. Can you advise me? I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Thanks.

    Hi Brenda19605,
    You can use this article to set the fonts and colors: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-fonts-and-colors-websites-use?esab=a&s=font&r=0&as=s
    The default settings for the font are in this article:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Some%20text%20shows%20up%20bold%20after%20upgrade
    Unfortunately for the default colors has no good reference. But for text it is black (most lower left) color, background is white (most upper left color). Unvisited links is blue (column 8, row 5) and visited link is purple (column 9, row 5).
    Let me know if you need anymore help!

  • Is there a way to change the font size and color of text in the calendar app?

    Does anyone know a way of changing the font size and color of text in the calendar app that comes with the iPad 2?  It is very hard to see the small gray numbers on the calendar.  Thanks

    Looks like you didn't get a reply on your post, but it is still a problem.  Font size is supposedly changeable via "Accessibility" in Settings, but it doesn't work.  You can turn on "Zoom".

  • How do I change the color of font in a fillable form in Adobe Reader? How can I check if the writer of the document has given permission to edit color and not just add text?

    How do I change the color of font in a fillable form in Adobe Reader? How can I check if the writer of the document has given permission to edit color and not just add text? Please help! I'm technologically challenged.

    Most forms (99% or more) are created for simple text input, where you cannot change anything.
    The creator of the form could allow Rich Text input (which allows you to change font, text size, color, etc.), but frankly I have never seen such a form, and I wouldn't know how they look.  But I'm sure they would show some kind of controls to alter the text appearance.
