Pages won't "put" after catastrophic computer failure

First let me start by saying, I am self taught in DW (CS3) via Adobe Dreamweaver tutorial and am still learning this program.
My computer crashed in early February. After a month of trying to figure out how to get my website reloaded with the correct pw's to the remote site, I finally was able to bring my htdocs folder into DW (CS3). I made changes and previewed in all browsers. Everything looked fine. I used the "put" button as I always did before, and thought everything was fine. I went to my website the other day and noticed it was still in the same stage that it was in when the computer crashed originally and none of my changes apparently made it to the remote server or the web (whatever the correct terminology is). Again, when I preview, everything looks correct.
The pages won't load, but I have no problems getting individual pdf's to load. I have not tried individual images.
So I tried again and this time I saved the log (see below). I was wondering if anyone can view the log and decipher for me what is wrong?

I was instructed to leave the section in "manage sites" entitled "what folder do you want to store your files in" = blank. Is this correct?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much

Thank you, this worked. The pages load now, but my new images wont load. When I try to "put" my gif files in this is the error I receive:

I even tried to go to the side by side screen and highlighted the Announce35.gif that I just created and put on my master template and on the site side highlighted the images folder and I still get the error..Is this connected to my other problem listed above? The images folder is stored in the htdocs folder.

Pages won't open after I downloaded some Apple Updates

First, we are all just users like yourself so it's not "your" updates. Which updates have you applied & in what order?
Quite a few users have had problems. From what I've read of those who have had success, this is what I suggest. It all depends on how you obtained Pages in the first place.
If you bought Pages from the Mac App Store:
Delete the Pages.app from your Applications folder. You will need to enter your password to do so.
Launch Mac App Store  & click on Purchases. You should now see an INSTALL button. Click that, enter your password, if necessary, & you should now have the latest version.
If you installed Pages from a retail box or purchased a license from the downloaded trial:
First, you must make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. All three applications must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
Now, choose Software Update from the Apple menu, from System Preferences or launch the Mac App Store & click Updates. You should get a window similar to this screenshot. Now click the Update button next to iWork 9.2.
Alternatively, you can download the standalone update here. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563

  • Mac Mail won't open after waking computer up. Have to force quit & restart

    Hi there,
My mail won't open 85% of the time unless I force quit and restart my computer. Then, after my computer goes to sleep, I click on the stamp on my dock, and nothing happens. My computer says its still open. I've tried quitting mail and reopening from my Applications folder. I've deleted the icon on the dock and tried to access from Applications, but still, nothing happens, and I have to force quit my computer and restart over and over again to use the mail.
Any one have an idea for me? I have my gmail and another personal email set up as IMAP. Could there be a glitch in the way I set that up? Mail seems to come and go fine, when it's active.
Thanks in advance for your time and any help

Has anyone found a solution to this? I'm having the exact same problem and it really just started a couple days ago.

  • Page won't load after snippet insert

I just installed the code for Google Analytics through an HTML snippet in iWeb, which i put on each page then published the site. But after i did so, my website won't load at all, and i cannot figure out why. Any ideas?

Well, here's  the HTML Snippet with your code :
    http://mkstudios.comxa.com/MK_Studios//Home_files/widget2_markup.html
Google will analyze the widget page, not the page you ceate in iWeb.
Use my method or change the lines in the code by adding the word parent :
    var ga = parent.document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;
    ga.src = ('https:' == parent.document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';
    var s = parent.document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);

  • Pages won"t open after upgrade to Snow

Should"ve known there were going to be problems...now after installing snow leopard, my pages will not open, my mail will not open, keynote, numbers. ical...a huge number of issues, and now with schol starting I cannot use my computer to do any work.......Any helpful thoughts would be greatly appreciated
    Tom

    Hi Thomas
The issues most people seem to be having are
    1. Duplication of fonts and some wonky fonts. Check these and fix them in *Font Book.*
    2. That they did not correctly transfer iWork. You can't just simply drag the software over, nor will it work if you had changed the names of the folders they were in. You should have done a full migration or possibly reinstall if you can't get out of the problems.
    3. You need to have upgraded the software to the latest versions.

  • Pages won't open after installing new HD

I have a 2009 intel iMac running Snow Leopard (10.6.8).  After installing a new hard drive, the OS, and all my programs, none of the iWork 09 programs (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) will open.  (All other programs work fine.)  For example, when I click on the Pages icon, it says "Pages could not open because of a problem... • *** Pages won't open after system re-install

I had to re-install OS X since it was acting funny and after doing a full time machine back up, I can't open Pages or Numbers from iWork '09 anymore. They launch and then immediately crash. I purchased the SN online and don't see where I go to get that number again. I realize I probably need to download iWork '09 again but don't want to buy it twice.
Can anyone help point me to where this SN is? I didn't see it in any email correspondence...
    Thanks in advance!

Since you bought it online you can get the serial number from the list of online purchases in your Apple Store account. Go to the Store tab at the top of this page, click Account (small, faint gray word next to the cart icon in the upper right), click on Downloadable Software Purchases & sign in.

  • How do you get adobe to allow a new download of your software after a computer failure???????

Seriously? It's not enough that my entire computer failed and the hard drive was erased, but I can't get a simple way to re-download the software that I paid for?? What the heck? How do I get adobe to allow me to download my software??? My page of orders lists it, but will not allow a download. And no simple button to say - my freakin computer was erased and I need a new copy.
There really should be a simpler way to do this....

  • ITunes won't open after recent computer repairs

I have an old iMac G3. Recently it refused to boot up, so I took it to a tech guy who saved the stuff I had on the hard drive to an external drive (a 500GB Lacie d2 quadra). He then restored the iMac. When I try to open iTunes I get a message that says, "The file 'iTunes Library' cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I have tried to move the iTunes application that is on the external hard drive (which seems to be a different version than the one on my computer) to my computer's hard drive. Each time it seems to work, but then I can't open iTunes. When I click on the icon nothing happens. What happened to the version of iTunes that is compatible with the files in my iTunes library? How can I figure out what version of iTunes I need, and where can I get it? Thanks.

  • Toshiba P755-S5270 Won't start after BIOS update failure

I was informed by Toshiba Service Station that I needed to update my BIOS.  During the update, my laptop froze.  After powering down it would not start again (Black Screen) the power comes on but nothing else.
    Any ideas?

I understand if I would have just decided that I would change the BIOS for no good reason, I have what's coming to me, BUT when Toshiba's program "Service Station" that came loaded on my laptop, says that I need to update and I use Toshiba's program "Service Station" to do just that... and it fails... one might think that the program is to blame.
If this Update was suggested by anything other than an approved program that came loaded on the laptop, I wouldn't have done it.
What really irks me is that I've owned this laptop for one year to the day and my warranty just expired!
    Oh Well... Lesson Learned.
