Pagestream

I am using pagestream in my htmlcss to generate buttons to view pages one at a time.
But I am not being able to prevent the buttons from appearing when the output is only one page.
Any idea how to avoid the buttons when the output is only one page?
thanks in advance

Hi
"Pagestream" is only applicable for html/htmlcss
(For pdf why do you want this, Adobe acrobat reader provides the same functionality anyway. You can navigate to any page.)

    Reports 10GR2
    I am opening up Report B, when an item in Report A is clicked on the report and pass that as a parameter to the Report. This functionality is working.
    I have put the below code in the field Hyperlink property
    /reports/rwservlet?&cmdkey=somekey+desformat=HTMLCSS+destype=cache+report=a.rdf+paramform=no+PAGESTREAM=NO+ ID=&id_number
    Report B opens up in PDF, even though I have defined HTMLCSS for desformat and i am thinking this is happening because desformat initial value on Report B is set to pdf.
    Another application calls this report as well and the requirement was to open it in pdf
    Since Report A has Pagestream set to Yes, when i open up report B from A in PDF, I still see the "pagestream with the frame" and if i click on next, then it jumps to original report A.
    Is there a way to remove the pagestream when report B is generated somehow by removing the frame with the pagestream in filed property
    Additional Hyperlink Attributes (HTML) property or afterparam trigger
    If not then maybe open up report B in a new window
    I tried target = _new in Additional Hyperlink Attributes (HTML) property
    target = _blank
    tagert = _self
    target = _parent and the report still opens in the same window and the Pagestream is still present.
    I have also added the below code. Thanks to Denis Segard
    function F_consult_seqnumFormatTrigger return boolean is
    BEGIN
    SRW.SET_HYPERLINK_ATTRS('onMouseover="window.status=''Click here to view additional information on this ID'';return true"'||
    ' onMouseout="window.status='''';return true"');
    return (TRUE);
    return (TRUE);
    END;
    Thanks.

  • Report formatting get disabled with Pagestream=yes

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2
    my Reports are displayed correctly without Pagestream,
    but when i putted "Pagestream=yes" in link, then the formatting of the pages get distorted. please help me out
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    Dev

    The PAGESTREAM keyword enables or disables page streaming (pagination) for the report when formatted as HTML or HTMLCSS output, using the navigation controls set by the report developer. rwbuilder cannot use this keyword.
    You may want to refer to Appendix A in the Oracle Application Server Reports Services Publishing Reports to the Web manual to know which executables can use the PAGESTREAM keyword. This manual is available on OTN:http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/reports.html

  • PAGESTREAM=YES does not work in LINUX Env

    Hi ,
    Where in the application server can we specify, the cache directory the browser or apache has to look for the report output after report has run.
    MY issue is that , I run a report and the browser shows it up. But when i add the parameter pagestream=YES in the report URL ,it says page not found.
    This happens in a linux environment but not when the same report is run ona 10gas windows env.
    Any help in this regard is appreciated
    Thanks,
    Ashok

    Hello,
    Did you check the HTML code returned to the browser ?
    Menu View -> Source.
    When PAGESTREAM=YES is added, some HTML code is returned
    to the browser with FRAMESET and FRAME tags in order to
    "split " the window in two. a BASE HREF tag is added too.
    Can you check this tag BASE HREF ?

  • Pagestreaming

    I want to use pagestreaming but there seems to be a problem. Report Server is laying on an owm machine with apache as webserver and we have a websever (application server) on another machine. Now when report cache the pagestream pages we cant reach the files through our webservers. Is it meent that reporserver is to work as webserver?? We don't want to open report server to outsiders, only webservers shall now of report. Is it suppose to work with pagestreaming? What shall we do?

    Hi Navneet,
    Thanks alot for the reply. I found one interesting solution in the Metalink search yesterday. Below are the steps to get rid of the bottom frame.
    1) open the property inspector of the link field
    2) In the Web settings section:
    Hyperlink : Type target=_top
    Press Enter.
    Additional hyperlink attributes : Type target=_top
    This removes the bottom frame.
    I have one small problem with the graphs in HTML format.
    In my 10g report, there are 2 3D pie charts. When I run this report as HTMLCSS, one pie chart shows up and in the place of 2nd pie chart, there is red "X". If I refresh the screen, some times other pie chart shows up and red "X" the first pie chart place, or some times there red "X" in both the places. Is it a problem with the Application server settings? Is there any cashe size setting? We r using 10g application server. If I display in PDF, there is a drilldown report from these pie charts. So when the user press BACK button in the browser, the previous Pie charts page just gets disappeared. It shows some Oracle appication server page
    I don't know the solution/reason for this. It just cashed out from the memory. Please advice me if you have any Idea about these 2 problems.
    Thanks alot for all your help.
    Ram.

    Hi Kal,
    i found the solution !!!
    The File uifont.ali could be found at location D:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_FRHome1\tools\common\
    Inside of this file i found the wrong referenz to my barcode 'CO3_____.TTF'
    Correct referenz:
    # This example shows how to embed Type 1 Arial font into the PDF file:
    # Arial = "Arial.pfm Arial.pfb"
    # You need to specify the .pfm file before the .pfb file.
    # The font files must exist in one of the folders specified in REPORTS_PATH.
    [PDF:Subset]
    "Codezweifuenfind".....="CO3_____.TTF"
    Bad referenz:

    Goto grid mode (hit G) and the right click on the grey square. Make sure it is the square and not any part of the visible information. Go to the view options at the bottom and you can set your preferences there.

  • Report Server Performance related problem

    Hi all,
    We have a report which generates the output in PDF format. Our Report generates report of 2134 pages with some particular parameters.
    If a user runs a 2134 long page report over the Web, is there a way to look at some of the pages rather than send all 2134 back to the browser? The output
    should be in pdf format only. I have seen the parameter PAGESTREAM=TRUE, which works only with HTMLCSS,HTML output format only. Is there any work around for the pdf?

  • How to run .JSP 9iReport from web with Parameter Form

    Hi,
    I m trying to run a .JSP 9ireport from the web. now i have two problems.
    1. how do i display a parameter form from the web, meaning when the user clicks on the link to the report a parameter form should be displayed and the report should give the output for those parameters.
    2. how do i format the report output which i get in the web in pages, with a link called "NEXT" which upon clicking will take the user to the next page.
    Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Unmesh

    1. Take a look "Building a reports with a Parameter Form" in "Getting Started with Oracle9i Reports" in otn (URL: http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/examples/index.html)
    2. Normally web page doesn't have page concept. If you want to define the page for web, you need to do it yourself in the jsp. However, we do support paper based report that supports page and can be deployed on the web. Use pagestream=yes in the URL request.
    Thanks,

  • Print SSRS Server Report in landscape or portrait mode directly(without report viewer control)

    Hello,
    .Net 4.0\VS2010\C#\ssrs 2008 on Sql Server 2008R2
    Having a problem printing a Server report while controlling the orientation and the size of the emf rendered to the physical page.
    I have the report cutting off in both landscape and portrait modes. I'm passing the following deviceinfo to the render function:
    string DeviceInfo =
    @"<DeviceInfo>
    <OutputFormat>EMF</OutputFormat>
    <PageWidth>8.5in</PageWidth>
    <PageHeight>11in</PageHeight>
    <MarginTop>0.25in</MarginTop>
    <MarginLeft>0.25in</MarginLeft>
    <MarginRight>0.25in</MarginRight>
    <MarginBottom>0.25in</MarginBottom>
    </DeviceInfo>";
    return DeviceInfo;
    string mimeType;            string fileExtension;            Stream pageStream = serverReport.Render("IMAGE",  deviceInfo, firstPageParameters, out mimeType, out fileExtension);
    No other settings seem to have an affect on controlling the output to printer or pdf.  i.e. The deviceinfo params fed to server report's render function are all you get.  I think my original code comes from an MSDN or CodeProject example. I'm not
    inventing anything new here.
    Links below indicate similar problems but they are looking at the issue from just landscape mode. Seems like I ought to be able to squash or expand the image to whatever size I specify, separate from the 'page' size.  Please let me know what i need
    to know to make these reports print without bleeding onto 2 pages or slicing off the right side of the document image.

     Hi
    FraterJoanni,
    Thanks for posting in MSDN forum.
    I am not expert in SSRS. You should get better response in SQL Server > SQL
    Server Reporting Services, Power View forum.
    After take a look at the similar threads links as you posted above.
    The conclusion is we needn’t tell the program o this report is landscape not portrait. If the width is larger than the height, the report will be printed in landscape; otherwise, it will be printed in portrait.
    >>Links below indicate similar problems but they are looking at the issue from just landscape mode.

  • When using hyperlink, how to build the URL?

    I open a report using followin URL
    http://machine_id:portnum/reports/rwservlet?report=C:\oracle_reports\test.jsp&USERID=uid/pwd@db&DESTYPE=cache&mode=bitmap&desformat=html&pagestream=yes&paramform=yes
    then this will open a report
    I want to add a hyperlink within this report to create another report named test2.jsp (in same folder as test.jsp)
    because within this report (test.jsp) I don't know how to get machine_id(or IP adress), portnum, path of the file, and all.
    I just know file name to be opened from the hyperlink (test2.jsp)
    Is there any way to get the URL used to open current report within the report running.
    What i'm trying to say is, when i open the test.jsp, I know the ip address, portnumber, path of the file and file name, and all parameters, so I can open test.jsp, but when i open test2.jsp from test.jsp, I don't have have those info, so how do i get those info within running report of test.jsp.
    also second question is, i wanna create a link to display current report in pdf format. In order to do that, i need to create a hyperlink exactly same as above except for desformat=pdf
    is there any easy way to achieve this task? (actually first question's answer can be same answer for this question)
    Thanks

    Hi Hanjoo,
    I am assuming for this reply that your test.jsp and test2.jsp are deployed on the SAME host machine.
    In that case, as the first step, put the file path (C:\oracle_reports) in the REPORTS_PATH environment variable on your machine.
    Then you can use a hyperlink like this inside test.jsp:
    /reports/rwservlet?report=test2.jsp&USERID=uid/pwd@db&DESTYPE=cache&mode=bitmap&desformat=html&pagestream=yes&paramform=yes
    For a PDF report output, you can use
    /reports/rwservlet?report=test.jsp&USERID=uid/pwd@db&DESTYPE=cache&mode=bitmap&desformat=pdf&pagestream=yes&paramform=yes
    The machine name and port number will automatically be pre-pended to the above hyperlink at runtime.
    Hope that helps.
    Navneet.
