PAI after Value request

Hi!
I have the following process flow in a dynpro:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE status_2000.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
MODULE user_command_2000.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
FIELD zam_flotta_vrend-kfzkz
MODULE rendszam_f4.
The module rendszam_f4 is running when I press F4, on the field called "rendszam".
After this field is chosen from the hit-list, I wanted to refresh all fields on the dynpro, if it differs from the original one. The refresh is written in the PAI, for choosing Enter button.
How can I force SAP to press an Enter, or run the PAI, after this value-request?

PAI process on value-request.

In PAI of one of the screens I have module that has to be triggered on value request and show table with possible entries for that screen field (lbl_printer) .
When transaction is executed the module is not called when i hit icon close to input field (lbl_printer)so I cannot get entry help. I set up break point in the module but I didn't get in to module " request printer". It looks like program do not recognize this module at all.
Please advice .

Any Functions can I use Search Help on VALUE-REQUEST in PAI.

Hi~!! Experts.
I want to know some functions or methods of Search Help.
I have made a ZHxxxx Search Help in SE11.
And I applied a screen field by using screen painter.
But I want to fill up the other fields, using selected value.
So I made a Module under th PROCESS On VALUE-REQUEST.
unfortunately, I can't use no more The Search that I made.
I want to using the Search Help(ZHxxxx), and I want to fill up the other fields by using that's values.
I guess some F4 functions can use Search Help. Right?
Anyone know how to deal it. Please answer me,. The program Type is Module Pool program.

First of all declare the module below in the flow logic of your screen then create it in your main program.
You declare the module in the PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.

F4 help needed in Process on value-request

Hi,
I have two fields on screen: region and its description in a dialog program. I want region description to be populated as soon as I select F4 help for region. Description field is output only . I want to do it using a module in Process On value-request. Field p_region MODULE GET_REGION_DESCRIPTION.
Using standard F4 help I can do it. If in my table I assign search help at field level for region. For example :
Search Help: ZREGION_SHLP. Selection method: ZREGION. Fields: Region and Description.
Table name : ZREGION.
i) 1st Fields: REGION , Data Element - ZREGN, Domain: ZZREGN ( CHAR2), Value table: ZREGN. Assign Search help at field level instead of data element level.
ii) 2nd Field: REGION_DESC, Data Element - BEZEI30.
in program: DATA: p_region like zregion-region. So if I press F4 help and select one region, description field gets populated.
I don't want to use standard functionality but want to write code in POV event. If I use F4IF_INT_TABLE_VLUE_REQUEST function module, I will get all the values associated with the field region. Since I don't know which region user has selected, i can't populate description. How to get the selected value in POV for that particular field. How can I get the value selected for region and then use DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE function module to update the description field. I tried search help exit event return to return the selected value. How to pass that value in POV module as you cannot use FORM ENDFORM . inside MODULE ENDMODULE.

How to populate 2 screen-fields with one [ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR input] evnt?

I have a selection screen with 2 text inputs - input1, input2.
For the first one I have an "AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR input1" event.
I successfully get a value there and that is set to the screen field. But I also want input2 to be automatically populated with a value corresponding to the selected input1 (eg. input1=ID, input2=Name).
I'm able to set input2 ABAP variable but not the screen-element.
(I guess that ON VALUE-REQUEST doesn't fire any events for screen fields update, because if I press ENTER after using my search-help, then input2 is set with the right value)
How to solve the problem?

Actually I used FM F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST which doesn't have mapping parameters.
But after your advice I looked through F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUES_REQUEST and found that it's
DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE FM that solves my task.

Selection Screen - From ...on Value Request To ... Output (PBO) ?

I have the following problem:
I want to jump after a SelectionScreen On Value-Request Block to the SelectionScreen Output Block. But Abap doesn´t go there afterwards.
My "trigger" for the value Request is a normal edit field, so unfortunately I can´t give a User-Command with it.
My intended action is: If I get new information in the value request part, I´d like to set a checkbox initial (remove the check). I can implement this code in the value request block, but it doesn´t work. It only works in the Output Block.
Does somebody have an idea?

The event AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE_REQUEST can update the field managed by the event, if you need to update other field in according to the selected value u need to use the fm DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE:

F4 display upon value request - values to be selected

I have an issue here. When the function module F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST is used in my program for displaying the PSTYV field values on the selection screen upon value request. Now, when the popup opens there are 53 number of item categories, i.e., from VBRP table. If any one of them is selected and double clicked, they should be selected as per the conventional idea, but nothing is being selected after double clicking. How to achieve this ? The following is my code.

To display help on a particular field, you can use either of following functions in Module defined as normal PAI module:
HELP_OBJECT_SHOW_FOR_FIELD
Displays the data element documentation for components of any structure or DB table from dictionary.
Takes input as Field and Table
HELP_OBJECT_SHOW
display any SAP script document
Takes input as document class (for example, TX for general texts, DE for data element documentation) and the name of the document .
Should also provide Empty internal table as tables parameter.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
FIELD field name MODULE module name.
For Possible values, within module defined above, you should use the general function module HELP_VALUES_GET_WITH_TABLE to get possible values from ABAP Dictionary.
Some other functions can be used for F4 Help:
F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST
Calls the input help of the ABAP Dictionary dynamically
Takes input as component names of a structure or database table of the ABAP Dictionary
F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST

PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST question..

Hi, can anyone make a suggestion:
I have an input field (on screen 200) which can be prompted with F4. When this happens the PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST calls a module to bring up a choice window (screen 300). Once the choice is made, a selection statement in screen 300 populates the description field on screen 200. However, while screen 200 shows the new value chosen, the description field still holds the old description. This is only refreshed when the user hits ENTER. I would like the description field to be showing the correct description immediately after the choice was made in the F4 prompt. Hope this make sense.
(I notice even standard SAP programs have this too - just hit F4 on a choice field in say VD02, the description doesn't change until the next ENTER or button click).

Use
Users of an SAP System can use the F4 key to obtain information about the possible input values for a certain field on the screen.
Information about the possible values for a field should also be available to those users who are working with the data in the SAP System from an external program, via BAPI calls. For example, the user of a Visual Basic program, which incorporates a BAPI to display or modify data in an SAP System, should have transparent access to the functions of the F4 input help.
Features
In order to provide input help, a calling program can use the BAPI HelpValues.GetList(). This method is based on the RFC-enabled function module BAPI_HELPVALUES_GET, which obtains the possible input values for a field that is passed in a BAPI call. For detailed information about the structure and use of the HelpValues.GetList() BAPI, see the documentation on the function module BAPI_HELPVALUES_GET, which implements the Helpvalues.GetList method.
To determine the possible input values for a field in the check table, the BAPI HelpValues.GetList() uses the elementary search help or the domain fixed values linked to the field in the ABAP Dictionary.
For this reason, you have to create or specify relevant check tables, elementary search helps (matchcodes) or domain fixed values. Only then can the calling program access the relevant input values for your BAPI fields using the BAPI HelpValues.GetList().
As of Release 4.5A, you have to specify a foreign key, if a check table has been defined in the domain. Otherwise F4 input help cannot be displayed.
Authorization Check
In some cases you will only want to allow only those persons with a specific user profile to access information in F4 input help. To do this you can carry out authorization checks within the BAPI using table BAPIF4T.
Table BAPIF4T is provided for this purpose. This table comprises the following fields, which you have to fill with the values for your BAPI.
OBJTYPE (object type)
The technical name of the SAP business object type, for example, BUS1065.
METHOD (verb)
The name of a BAPI for the business object type named above, for example, GetList.
DTEL (data element)
The name of a data element for which a possible entry is specified. For example, an elementary input help could be specified for the data element PERNR_D and be protected from unauthorized access.
FNAM (name of the function module)
The name of the function module that you have to create and that checks authorizations for the data element. This function module must have the following predefined interface:

As the template for your function module you can use the function module BF_BAPI_F4_AUTHORITY which provides exactly this interface. Copy this function module and follow the documentation provided with it.
The additional parameter SHLPNAME contained in the function module interface provides the name of the active input help for the table or for the data element. The parameter TABNAME contains the name of the value table.
The return code of the parameter RETURN is:
'X' if the user of the BAPI is not authorized to call up the valid input values for a field.
' ' (no value), if the user of the BAPI is authorized to display the input values for a field.
During runtime the function module is called dynamically by the BAPI HelpValues.GetList().
An authorization check can be carried out at business object type, method or data element level:

Process On Value Request with Search Help Problem

I have a screen with a field that has a custom search help attached to it. I am using Process On Value-Request which ultimately uses function module F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST to return the selected value from the search help. The value is then moved to the screen field.
THE PROBLEM: If I enter a value in a field on the screen, then use the search help from a different field the first value I entered gets cleared. Here is a code sample. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?
NOTE: The values that get cleared are fields on the screen that I do not reference at all in user_command_2501.

Error During Creation of Table Value Request /Simple Value Request Express

Hi,
I am on SAP CRM ABAP 7.0 with enhancement pack 2.0.
The requirement is to create a decision table which would have value(search helps) requests for some of the condition columns in it. For example, Value Request for condition column Y would come according to condition column X . As per my understanding,this could only be achieved by maintaining foreign key relationship. So I tried to create a Table Value Request which I could assign in the domain values in the data object of the corresponding condition column.
But,when I am trying to create a Table Value Request or Simple Value Request in BRF+ application, it is throwing an error message "Table FDT_EXPR_1950S is not part of the Customizing object FDT0001 T".
Could you please help me out !!

How to get parameter value from report in event of value-request?

The customer want to use particular F4 help on report, but some input value before press enter key are not used in event of "at selection-screen on value-request for xxx", How to get parameter value in this event?

You probably want to look at function module DYNP_VALUES_READ to allow you to read the values of the other screen fields during the F4 event... below is a simple demo of this - when you press F4 the value from the p_field is read and returned in the p_desc field.

For getting the response back from the user selection , please get the return code too. Before that instead of directly using the table crhd structure.. please do create a type declaration of that table , make sure that the field that you wanted to get using search help be specified at last of declaration type like this
