Panel Tabbed refresh problem

I have created sample.jsff and added three tabs using Pannel Tabbed from the ADF faces Layout. Each tab is having Table component from the ADF common components where I can input text. After inputting values in the first tab and submit, the values are propering coming into my managed bean. Suppose I input values in one tab and click on sencond tab to input, the values entered in the first tab would get disappear. Please guide me on the problem.
Thanks in advance
Srini

Hi,
your managed bean is in request scope and doesn't hole the data between requests

Since installing LTR 5.4, which I've now upgraded to 5.6, I've encountered repeated slowness and malfunctions in operations, especially when using the Compare View function and the Tab key to open and close the right and left side panels.  Such problems never arose during two years of using LTR-4 and nothing else has changed on my computer.  I have a pretty simple system with only a few plug-ins, which are usually not in operation.  I have 12GB of RAM in my Windows 7 PC.  I could illustrate these problems with screen shots if you would tell me how to submit screen shots.  Otherwise I will try to describe the problems in words.
The problem is clearly cumulative, growing worse as usage time passes.  Compare View feature gradually slows down and eventually seems to choke as my work session proceeds. If I Exit LTR and re-enter and start all over, things will work normally for maybe 30 minutes, but then the Compare View feature begins to become very slow to respond.   In a recent example with my screen full of thumbnails in Library mode I highlighted two images to compare. LTR started to open the Compare View screen by first having the top row of thumbnails disappear to be replaced by the "SELECT" and "CANDIDATE" words in their spaces  (but no images), but Compare View never succeeded in gaining control of the screen. After some seconds the top row of thumbnails reasserted its position and the Compare View windows disappeared. But LTR kept trying to bring them back. Again the top row of thumbnails would go away, Select and candidate would reappear, try again, and give up. This went on for at least 2-3 minutes before I tried to choose File and Exit, but even that did not initially want to respond. It doesn't like to accept other commands when it's trying to open Compare View. Finally it allowed me to exit.
To experiment I created a new catalog of 1100 images.  After 30-40 minutes, the Compare View function began to operate very slowly. With left and right side panels visible and two thumbnails highlighted, hitting Compare View can take half a minute before the two mid-size  images open in their respective SELECT and CANDIDATE windows. When the side panels are open and two images are in the Select/Candidate spaces, hitting the Tab button to close the side panels produces a very delayed response--25-30 seconds to close them, a few more seconds to enlarge the two images to full size. To reverse the process (i.e., to recall the two side panels), hitting Tab would make the two sides of the screen go black for up to a minute, with no words visible. Eventually the info fields in the panels would open up.
I also created a new user account and imported a folder of 160 images. After half an hour Compare View began mis-placing data.  (I have a screen shot to show this.)  CANDIDATE appears on the left side of SELECT, whereas it should be on the right. The accompanying camera exposure data appears almost entirely to the left of the mid-screen dividing line. Although the Candidate and Select headings were transposed, the image exposure data was not, but the data for the image on the right was almost entirely to the left of the line dividing the screen in two.
Gurus in The Lightroom Forum have examined Task Manager data showing Processes running and Performance indicators and they see nothing wrong.  I could also send screen shots of this data.
At this point, the only way I can process my images is to work 30-40 minutes and then shut down everything, exit, and re-start LTR.  This is not normal.  I hope you can find the cause, and then the solution.  If you would like to see my screen shots, tell me how to submit them.

  • Smartview 11.1.2.1.102 Refresh problems

I have multiple users experiencing severe refresh problems after upgrading to smartview version 11.1.2.1.102.
Users state Refresh is taking 10-15mins+ when in old version 9x it only takes 1-2mins. In addition users have rebuilt the excel files (copy in new workbook) then all is working fine but when saved/the next day the refresh goes very slow again!
    Please can any help?

    1. Deleting the Sheet Info fixes the problem for the moment - but the problem soon returns. Do you know what causes the problem, so we can cut the repeating cycle? Is this strictly a multi-user issue? We do have several users that may use the file. Some have version 11.1.2.1.000 (not 103). Oracle's tips doc (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/epm-tips-issues-73-102-1612164.pdf) mentions uncompressed metadata stored in the worksheet.
    2. Is there a specific version that allows the Sheet Info fix? Oracle's tip sheet says they need Some have version 11.1.2.1.103, but the users we have seen so far can use this workaround on Some have version 11.1.2.1.000. I'd like to know when at what version this fix starts so I can push other users to update. It would be good to know at which version this issue starts.
Thank you - great information in the thread!
    P.S. for reference:
    From http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/epm-tips-issues-73-102-1612164.pdf
In EPM System Release 11.1.2.1, I am opening .xls files with Smart View functions in Excel 2010, but it’s very slow or seems to freeze Excel. How can I fix this?
This is most likely due to an issue with uncompressed metadata stored in the workbook. In most cases, the issue can be found in the first sheet in hidden shapes. Note that the file will open but it may take a very long time, and in some cases the file will open fine with Smart View disabled. In other cases it will not matter. To solve this problem, save a copy of the file and follow the steps below for the version of Smart View you have.
If you are using Smart View 11.1.2.1.103 or above, follow these steps:
1 Open the file (this may take a while) with Smart View enabled.
2 From the Smart View Ribbon, select Sheet Info.
3 Select Delete Smart View Info.
4 Select Workbook and all Sheet Info.
    174 Miscellaneous and Product-Specific Tips
    5 Click OK.
    6 Save the modified workbook.
    7 Reopen the workbook.
If you are not using Smart View 11.1.2.1.103 or above, follow these steps:
1 Open the file (this may take a while).
2 Right-click on the tab of the first worksheet and select Select All Sheets.
3 Right-click on the tab of the first worksheet and select Move or Copy.
4 In the drop-down box, select (new book) and check Create a Copy.
    5 Save the workbook.
    6 Open the new workbook.
    7 Refresh the data.

  • Spry Tabbed Panels: Tabs

I'm experimenting with Spry Tabbed Panels. The problem I
couldn't work out is that how to get panel tabs stay on their

I am inserting Spry Tabbed Panel in a simple styled div.

I can insert non Spry items in a same div and style them

  • Selectable Dialog Panel Tab Order Reversed when Plug-In compiled with XCode 3

    Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone has seen this before, but I am experiencing
a problem with the order of the panel tabs in a selectable dialog when compiling
    a CS3 plug-in using the following configuration.
    OSX 10.5.4
    XCode 3.
    ID SDK 5.0.3
The problem is evident in the sample SDK plug-in "BasicSelectableDialog"
Other than the obvious ( i.e. use XCode 2.4.1 ) is there a simple configuration fix for this??
    Regards,
    Mike.

    Update::
Seems to be a problem with the ResourceEnabler or the call to CDialogCreator::GetOrderedPanelIDs() in the GetOrderedPanelIDs call in the dialog creator.
The list returned is always empty when compiled in XCode 3, but filled in when compiled using XCode 241.
    Regards,
    Mike.

  • Region in panel tabbed throws exception

    hi!
I have a Jsff page with a panel tabbed having two showDetailItem and each showDetailItem has region. Both region activation property is set to Conditional with corresponding EL for Active attribute. The region in first tab is loaded succesfully, and same thing with the region in the second tab. But when I get back to the first tab I got this Exception
<RegistrationConfigurator><handleError> Server Exception during PPR, #1
    java.lang.NullPointerException
         at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.taglib.region.IncludeTag$RelocatedFacet.restoreFacet(IncludeTag.java:900)
         at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.taglib.region.IncludeTag.doStartTag(IncludeTag.java:200)
         at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.taglib.region.DynamicIncludeTag.doStartTag(DynamicIncludeTag.java:109)
All the backing beans of the regions are in request scope.

I had isolated the problem, it is not the region.. it's the pageTemplate so I post another thread for this.
Cannot use the same page template in panel tabbed

  • Cannot use the same page template in panel tabbed

    Hi,
I have a panel tabbed with region in each tab. And all the jsff uses the same pageTemplate, but the jsff displays only a blank with no error . So I apply refresh condition on the Region thinking it might be the cause, initially the two region loaded successfully but when I switch back to the first tab it throws Exception
<RegistrationConfigurator><handleError> Server Exception during PPR, #1
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.taglib.region.IncludeTag$RelocatedFacet.restoreFacet(IncludeTag.java:900)

    at oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.taglib.region.DynamicIncludeTag.doStartTag(DynamicIncludeTag.java:109)
With my investigation it shows that same pageTemplate cannot be used in panel tabbed. What seems to be the solution here? Or Am I lacking something on reusing pageTemplate across panel tabbed?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi..
I think this is the not error with pages created with the page template. But may be cause some contents in the page.

  • IE6 displays AutoSuggestions under Tabbed Panel tabs

Problem: I am using the autoSuggest widget on the same page
as tabbed panels. In FireFox, it works GREAT! In IE6, I have a
problem with the suggestions being under the tabbed panels tabs
(possibly under the tabbed panel tab group)... I found a suggestion
which stated to set the autosuggest to z-index: 2002, and set it to
absolute positioning, both of which I've done.
When I look at the source using the IE Dev Toolbar, I see the
    following:
    <DIV class="predictiveSuggestionDiv hideSuggestClass"
    id="destinationSuggestionsDiv">
    <DIV class="fieldText" spry:hover="highlight"
    spry:suggest="Oak Harbor, WA">Oak Harbor, WA</DIV>

    0px; WIDTH: 245px; TOP: 20px; HEIGHT: 18px" src='javascript:"";'
    frameBorder="0" scrolling="no"></IFRAME>
Which leads me to believe that the autosuggest is not
actually inside the iFrame. While I found the styles for the
iframe, and set them, I did not find a way to tell spry to use the
iFrame. I was thinking that this might be the missing link, but I'm
    not sure.
I've tried setting the TabbedPanelTab &
TabbedPanelTabGroup to z-index: 1, however the tabbed panels seem
to really want to be above everything else anyway. I do have the
iFrameSuggest class and I set it as suggested in another forum
    entry to:
    .iframeSuggest
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 2002;
    filter:alpha(opacity:0.1);
However, that does not seem to solve my problem in IE 6.

  • Panel Tab disclosure issues

    Hi Experts,
    JDEV Version :1.1.1.5
DynamicShell Tab A has a grid with some records.
User clicks on the hyperlink of one of the records available in the grid.
Task Flow A is invoked which opens a new DynamicShell Tab B.
Task Flow A  has the following PanelTab with
    i)   ShowDetailItem A
    ii)  ShowDetailItem B
    iii) ShowDetailItem C
    iv)  ShowDetailItem D
    v)   ShowDetailItem E
ShowDetailItem C is disclosed by default when the TASK FLOW A is loaded in DynamicShell Tab B
    Problem Statement:
    1) Now the user manually clicks on ShowDetailItem  A .
    2) ShowDetailItem  A has a grid with some records.User clicks on the hyperlink of one of the records.
    3) When clicked on hyperlink the same TASK FLOW A is invoked.
    4) As the user is already in that TASK FLOW A( no new Dynamic shell Tab is created), the screen is just refreshed and control stays on ShowDetailItem  A.
    Expected :
As the user is already in that taskflow when clicked on the hyperlink in ShowDetailItem  A,  ShowDetailItem  C should be disclosed but that is not happening
    Any suggestions are much appreciated....

    Hi Frank,
    Thx for your reply!!!
    You are right ..
Same TaskFlow is invoked again means Task flow A is called again from Task flow A.
Is there any other alternative apart from jdev upgradation. Please let me know.

  • Issue related to Panel Tabbed- How to mark a particular tab as default tab

    Hi,
I am facing an issue where I want to make a showDetailItems Tab the default one. Currently every time the panel tabbed gets loaded I get the previously opened tab as disclosed.
Making Disclosed true for one particular showDetailItem and false for others doesn't solve the problem, infact there is no change in the behavior.
    Can somebody suggest a solution.
    Thanks
    Deepak

You can set the disclosed property of hte one detail to ture which you like to open when you first enter the page
<af:showDetailItem ... disclosed="true"...>If you like you can use EL to calculate the value...

    Hi,
If the data need to be passed is large, consider using Shared Memeory Objects: Check this doc for reference: How to pass data from ABAP to Web Dynpro ABAP
