Parallel Installation - DRM Server

Hello, I have a doubt and i wish someone could help me.
I have a server with DRM Content Server 4 and will migrate to an instance of Cloud Computing to have a greater elasticity in escalbilidade memory and processing.
My question is if i can make a parallel installation on this other machine for testing and approval and then disconnect the old machine.
I need a new license?
How is the issue of log on the ADOBE DRM Server?
I'll need to generate new encryption keys or can i use the existing?
Thanks,

Loosely speaking (please refer to your contract and your license for details - there are some limitations),  you are allowed to install any of the 3 ACS4 (admin, packaging, fulfillment) services on as many machines as you want.  For the fulfillment service, if the public URL is different (ie you aren't doing this to install multiple nodes in a HA cluster), you will need to generate a new certificate for that service.

    Dear All,
I have some problems after installation
Project Server 2013 CU September 9, 2014 (Hotfix 2883072) on 3 level farm
Before installing CU, I have installed
SP1 for Project Server 2013, installation and configuration was successful.
Then I have installed CU and I have not get any errors during installation process. Then I have restarted servers and in SharePoint health analyzer got an error about patch/installation status
    on WFE server.
I checked in Windows installed updates and hotfix is installed. I checked in SharePoint Update and Upgrade history and there were no errors during installation. But when I checked in Manage
Patch Status list I found an information:

If I run installation again I get message that nothing will be updated - no update needed.
Please help, how I can install missed packages?

    The problem was solved !
I solve it using two ways:
    1. I have installed the hotfix for Project Server -  Hotfix for Project Server 2013 October 14, 2014 KB 2889959 (Projectserverwfe-x-none.msp, Projectservermui-Language-Code.msp)
    2. using command
Psconfig -cmd upgrade -inplace b2b -force -cmd applicationcontent -install -cmd installfeatures -cmd installcheck -noinstallcheck
After two actions I was able to run SharePoint Configuration Wizard and upgrade database. Configuration completed successful.

Suggestion, if somebody hasn't already tested this: Might want to follow the removal instructions for Server.app (see Help > Removing Serfver) and confirm whether that .ServerSetupDone file does or does not continue to exist, before you bet on that as the detection path.

  • Error authSwf / authSwf.3329.10600: Internal DRM or DRM server security error

Watching XFINITY on xtv.comcast.net was working fine for the last few days until just recently - when I try to log in it says "adding device" even though they should already be added, and eventually comes up with this error: Error authSwf / authSwf.3329.10600: Internal DRM or DRM server security error I've reinstalled flash player, rebooted my computer, rebooted the DVR, cleared all cache/cookies, you name it. Nothing works. This is in both in the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome.  Called XFINITY phone support twice and was told I was being "transferred" then disconnected twice...frustrating.

if you're having the error on Google Chrome, go to settings | then at the bottom click advanced settings | then under privacy click on content settings | scroll down about two thirds down and under protected content click on the allow identifiers box. Milage may vary but worked for me when nothing else would. Before I found this fix, Firefox worked for me so you could try that as well. Just FYI when Comcast says engineers are working on the problem, all that means is that every once in a while a rep comes online and says engineers are working on it. It's been way over a year and the only fix they've ever suggested is reinstall flash. Takes a brilliant engineer to make that suggestion. Hope this helps someone.

  • Temporary wim-files for multicast transmissions still needed for WDS installation in Server 2012 R2?

    Acording to
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn281955.aspx one of the new features for WDS in Server 2012 R2 for multicast is:
Improved multicast deployment by eliminating the need for making a local copy of the install.wim file. You can apply the install.wim file while it is being downloaded without significant impact to the application process.
However, this doesn't seem to be activated by default and I still get the following error when installing one or more machines using multicast:
"Windows Setup cannot locate a valid hard drive to store temporary installation files." However, once I remove Multicast from this install image, it installs without any problems at all.
I have also noticed that while multicasting, the installation will use the "Copying Windows files" phase, while downloading and copying the install.wim (or whatever name it is) locally on the hard drive first, so this will require lots of space.
So the question is, how do you enable this new feature that should be a part of WDS in Server 2012 R2???

    Full version:
Following steps could help enable the feature:
    1.       Mount the boot image using dism.
    e.g.
    >dism /mount-wim /wimfile:c:\remoteinstall\boot\x64\images\boot.wim /index:2 /mountdir:c:\mount
    2.       Create a metadata file if no existing one. The metadata file should be in mountdir from the first step under mountdir\sources. And the file name should be: WdsClientMetadata.txt
    3.       Add entry to the metadata file: WDS.Client.Multicast.WIM.Streaming.Enabled=true
    4.       Save changes and unmount the boot image
    e.g.
    >dism /unmounts-wim /mountdir:c:\mount /commit
Sorry for the late reply, but I had to test this thoroughly since I didn't get it working right away. I tried both the regedit you first mentioned, and later also creating a textfile in the "/index:2 boot.wim", both without any success. I noticed
that creating the sources\WdsClientMetadata.txt with the data "WDS.Client.Multicast.WIM.Streaming.Enabled=true" gives me an error upon booting into WDS as follows (EUFI/IPv6-boot):
Same happens if I boot using IPv4 (an non-UEFI boot), except that there would be a plain IPv4-address instead in the error msg. Just for troubleshooting I tried writing WDS.Client.Multicast.WIM.Streaming.Enabled=false in the file instead, and WDS would throw
me the exact same error message. Once I delete the file sources\WdsClientMetadata.txt from the WDS/Boot image, the client boots ok, both for IPv4/IPv6. Disabling the firewall on the WDS didn't help, so something in the configuration is still missing? I'm getting
to a dead end here, and I suppose you're all out of advice on this one?
Thank you Shaon Shan for your great effort so far.

  • Adobe AIR Native installation + DRM issues.

    Hello Friends,
We are looking at creating an application for a client whom is very concerned about piracy. They have a third party application which essentially injects DRM code into an windows exe. We created a demo air app which in turn was converted into an exe thanks to the native installer feature in Flash Builder for AIR and the third party worked fine by injecting after the DRM code.
However we realized that in the installation directory we can find the swf for the app, so essentially if we install another Air app and swap the SWF's we can actually get the content and circumvent the DRM.
I am wondering if there is anything we can do to prevent that (prevent the swf working within another AIR installation) and make it a little harder to crack.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I actually wanted to clarify a few things on this question in hope of still gettign an answer.
Apparently MDM Zinc does a good of creating a exe that can then later be succesfuly injected with DRM requiring an activation code to be able to install the software. It seems the swf gets converted to something else therefore injecting the DRM is more effective.
However I still want to do thid via AIR, the problem being is that the swf can be found in the installation and can be placed in another AIR app to circunvent the instalation code.
    Any thoughts are apreacited.

  • Windows Installer - SQL Server 2008 Express Errors

I am working with an application that was developed for an XP machine.  One of my peers took the old Windows application and using Visual Studio 2010 upgraded the application to work on a Windows 7 machine.  We are creating the installer (.exe
and .msi) files within Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, but we are having different issues on different machines that we try to run the setup.exe file on.
On our company computers with Windows 7, the setup.exe file runs and works properly.
On our customers computer with Windows 7, received the following error: "an error occurred attempting to install SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 1."
On non-company/non-customer machines, we tried two Windows 7 machines.  One machine had no issues and everything installed perfectly and the other received this error: "Component SQL Server 2008 Express has failed to install."
User pressed Yes to reboot the computer.
After the reboot, the setup.exe file was run and there were no more errors.  The application was installed properly.
Within the Installer we have four boxes checked under Properties - Prerequisites:
    Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (x86 and x64)
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (x86 and x64)
    SQL Server 2008 Express
    Windows Installer 3.1
If anyone can help with why the installer is causing issues on some computers and not on others as well as why the issues by computer are different that would be very helpful!

  • Crystal Reports 9 - Installation on Server 2008

    Hi,
I have moved our installation of Crystal 9 from server 2000 on to a Server 2008 x64 r2 and am having a few little issues:
The program has installed and ran correctly, but when it goes to open a file it comes up saying:
    'Failed to open the documents'
    'ufmanager.dll is not found'
Then the program just sits there and doesn't open the file.
Does anyone know what we can do?

    Hello,
Is this an application you wrote or are you just installing CR 9 Designer on the Server? CR 9 had no concept of 64 bit OS's so it's likely a 32 bit dependency missing that the ufmanager.dll is looking for.
If it is an application then make sure you build it for 32 bit mode only.
You could try using Process Monitor from www.sysinternals.com and see what it's looking for.
CR 9 ended it's supported life cycle a long time ago so Windows 2008 has never been tested nor will it be.
You may want to search in the Crystal Reports Developer forums on 64 bit, lots of info on how to and may solve your issue.
    Good luck

  • Issue with multiple application installation and server share

    Hi,
    SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 ICP2
    All servers W2K8R2
I am having an issue with software installs.  When using a variable for multiple applciation installs, I get access errors when the applications go to install.  It appears to be a multiple connection issue, but I can't figure out why.
I am using server shares for my DPs.  The proper permissions are set.  The servers (DP) are W2K8R2.  I think it has to do with the way R2 handles the conenctions.  I want to know if this is a known issue or if anyone has come accross
    it.
I am going to post in the software distribution forum as well, but thought this would be a config question.

Hi! I'm waking up this dead thread but I've got a *very* similar problem!
I've got a SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 installation on Win2008.  All clients are in the same ConfigMgr-site. Multiple package deploy in the same site-boundary as the CM-server works excellent. (We've got  three DPs in the same site-boundary as the
    CM-server itself.)
Now, we have a new site-boundary with it's own Protected DP where multiple package deploy fails
but the same packages, being run from the task-sequnce works! So then the client can download, install and run the packages from the proteced DP just fine. All "single" packages install fine before the "Multiple Appliaction"-step.
I've tripple checked that we're running the same packages when we're installing Multiple Packages as we do in the Task-Sequence. And
the same Task-sequence with the Multiple Package installation step
works fine in our site-boundary where the ConfigMgr-server is installed.
