  • Doubt in  export, import and table para when creating Function Module

    Dear fellow ABAPers,
    I have a doubt in defining export, import and table parameter while creating a function module.
    I am calling a function module inside a user exit. Now in the user exit the SAP fills an internal table called i_lfa1 with all the data user has eneterd.
    Now I want to pass this whole internal table to function module and the perform some checks on the values of internal table.
    After that function module fills an error structure with values depending on some check.
    1)
    How do I pass this internal table to function module ?
    When I am creating function module in se37 where do I define this iternal table type ? Is it in Import or Table parameter during function module creation?
    2)
    Where do I define error structure type (which is returned by function module to main program)? Is it in Export or table parameter during function module creation?
    Please clear my doubt..
    Relevant points will be awarded.
    Regards,
    Tushar.

    Hi Tushar,
    1. How do I pass this internal table to function module ?
       I assume u are creating your own Y/Z FM.
       Pass it thru TABLES parameter.
    2. When I am creating function module in se37 where do I define this iternal table type
       Define this in TABLES interface.
       What Type ?
       THE SAME TYPE WHICH HAS BEEN DEFINED
        WHILE PASSING IN THE USER-EXIT FUNCTION MODULE.
       IF U SEE THE FM OF THE USER-EXIT,
       U WILL COME TO KNOW.
    3.
    Where do I define error structure type (which is returned by function module to main program)? Is it in Export or table parameter during function module creation?
    Define it in TABLES interace. (not in export, import)
      (Since what u are going to return is an internal table)
      U can take for eg. BDCMSGCOLL.
      OR u can create your own Y/Z structure
    for the same purpose.
      (or u can use the structure type T100)
    I hope it helps.

    Amit M.

  • Error -2147190908 when create a RTF report

    Hi ,
    Could someone can tell me why I get error -2147190908 when I create a RTF report by crystal report 9.
    It only happend on Windows 2008 SC X64,language is Simplified Chinese.
    thanks.

    Hi,
       Windows 2008 SC X64 language simplified Chinese is not the supported platform that Crystal Reports 9 suppose to work on.
       This combination hasn't been tested, and Crystal Reports 9 is a pretty old product that has been end of support for quite some time.
       It's quite surprising to see we are using CR9 against Windows 2008. Crystal Reports 2008 start supporting windows 2008 in SP1, you may refer to the platform support document here:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f05523e4-35c4-2b10-2c89-9fcf64b0dd22?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
       Maybe we need to reconsider using Crystal Reprots 2008 SP1 or newer version to do the reporting on Windows 2008 OS.
       Hope this help to clarify.

  • Syntax Error with Table Parameter (type: ANY) when Creating Function Module

    Hello experts,
    I want to create a function module with a table parameter and table type is ANY. But when I check (Ctrl+F7) this function module, syntax error occurs - "In this statement, the internal table "MSG_TABLE_ITEM" must have the type "STANDARD TABLE"."
    Could anyone tell me what the wrong is? And how can I fix it?
    Thanks,
    Shelwin

    Hi,
    For table parameters, you can only pass
    MSG_TABLE_ITM   TYPE STANDARD TABLE
    or
    MSG_TABLE_ITM  ( don't fill other columns TYPING ASSOCIATED TYPE  ).
    For reference check FM 'GUI_UPLOAD' - Table parameters

    Any ideas as to why the reports server instance cannot be started?
    I have tried rebooting the server many times and have recreated other reports server instances but with no luck.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Chris

    On Windows this is caused most often by the temporary directory setting.
    Change the temporary directory to some fixed directory writable by anybody, e.g. "C:\temp".
    Change this in:
    Registry entry: hkey_local_machine\software\oracle\key_<oashome>\REPORTS_TMP
    <oashome>\opmn\conf\opmn.xml: search for environment variable TEMP (under ias-instance)
    Good luck!

  • Cannot see data in infotype when creating new Crystal Report

    Dear Experts,
    I have installed SAP Crystal Report 2011 trial version. After many weeks of trying to install CR2011 and making it work, i finally able to connect to SAP R/3 (ECC5.0).
    The problem is after choosing the table (eg. PA0002) and selecting field "employee number", "name", "start date", "end date" and other fields and selecting preview, the report only show "employee number", "start date" and "end date".
    The rest of the fields in PA0002 is showing BLANKS. I check in backend R/3 and the data is there.
    I also tried choosing "Mandt", the field is also showing blank in report preview.
    My basis team has done the following:
    1. Performing ABAP imports
    2. Grant authorisation for crystal report connection
    But still the fields above is not showing.
    Any clue?
    Thank in advance,
    Zul

    HI Zul,
    Its clearly the problem with the version of crystal you are using
    you have mentioned that you are using crystal 2011 and the ECC is SAP R/3 5.0
    Because crystal 2011 is only compatible with latest ECC client like 6.0 and above ...
    Solution are :-
    1.) you can upgrade the connectivity driver with the ECC
    or
    2.) you can use 2008 crystal report tool to connect the table , so can find the missing feilds
    Please try this and let me know you are able to fix this
    Thank you

    Hi,
    I am new to WF, I need to derive the notification id when creating AP Expanse report, I can achieve this by creating trigger on WF_NOTIFICATIONS table, but I need to derive this by creating custom procedure and that procedure need to be called from WF node. Hi,
    I'm not sure I'm reading your requirements correctly - do you want the process to move on as soon as anyone responds to it, or move on once everyone has responded to it?
    In the first case, it sounds like what you really need is a notification activity, which requires a response, sent to the role (or create an adhoc role which is assigned to everyone assigned to role 1 and role 2). As soon as one person responds to it, the notification is closed and the process moves on.
    In the second case, you should do the same but expand the roles. You will then need to write a post notification function to tally the votes and determine when to move on - have a look at the standard voting activity for an example of how to do it.

    Matt

  • Help me in Creating Function Module

    Hi All,
    I am new to SAP, please help me doing the following task given to me.
    Given EE group and EE subgroup, how to write a custom function module that displays all the employees in it?
    The output should be displayed in 2 tables where first table has the infotypes 0001 and 0002 and second table has infotype 0006.
    Thank you

    HI.
    Function Modules;
    Check this matter.
    Function Modules are Global ABAP programs created by SAP for reusable purpose.they have IMPORT,EXPORT and TABLE parameters, and EXCEPTIONS to through when error occurs.
    You can create them from TCode SE37.
    Go through the following doc:
    Function modules are cross-program, reusable procedures that are organized into function groups, and whose functions are implemented between the statements FUNCTION and ENDFUNCTION. Function modules and their interfaces are created in the Function Builder.
    Function Module Interfaces
    The parameter interface of a function module is defined in the Function Builder. It includes the definition of interface parameters and the specification of exceptions that can be triggered by a function module. The Function Builder automatically generates comment lines below the FUNCTION statement in the source code of the function module, which represent the interface of the function module with the following syntax:
    Syntax
    ... IMPORTING parameters
    EXPORTING parameters
    CHANGING parameters
    TABLES table_parameters
    {RAISING
    The syntax and semantics of IMPORTING, EXPORTING, CHANGING, RAISING, and EXCEPTIONS mainly correspond to the definition of method interfaces with CLASS-METHODS. The additional option of defining table parameters using TABLES is obsolete.
    Interface parameters
    The interface parameters are defined on the relevant tab pages in the Function Builder.
    IMPORTING parameters are input parameters. When the function module is called, a suitable actual parameter must be specified for every non-optional input parameter. The content of the actual parameter is passed to the input parameter when the call is made. The content of an input parameter for which 'pass by reference' is defined cannot be changed in the function module.
    EXPORTING parameters are output parameters. When the function module is called, a suitable actual parameter can be specified for every output parameter. The content of an output parameter that is defined for 'pass by value' is transferred to the actual parameter if the function module is completed without errors. An output parameter that is defined for pass by reference is not initialized when the function module is called.
    CHANGING parameters are input and output parameters. When the function module is called, a suitable actual parameter must be specified for every non-optional input or output parameter. When the function module is called, the content of the actual parameter is passed to the input/output parameter, and when the function module is completed, the content of the input/output parameter is passed to the actual parameter.
    TABLES parameters are table parameters. Table parameters are obsolete CHANGING parameters that are typed as standard tables with a header line. If an internal table without a header line or a table body is passed as an actual parameter to a formal parameter of this type, an empty local header line is generated in the function module. If an internal table with a header line is used as an actual parameter, both the table body and the header line are passed to the function module. Pass by value is not possible in formal parameters defined using TABLES. Formal parameters defined with TABLES can be replaced by formal parameters defined with CHANGING. A local work area can be created for the internal table in the function module by using the addition LIKE LINE OF itab of the DATA statement.
    Exceptions
    The exception of a function module are defined on the Exceptions tab page in the Function Builder. Here you can select exception classes to define whether class-based exceptions are declared or non-class-based exception are defined. Class-based exceptions are represented in the above syntax by RAISING, and non-class-based exceptions are represented by EXCEPTIONS.
    The addition RAISING is used to declare class-based exceptions that can be propagated from the function module to the caller. Exceptions in the categories CX_STATIC_CHECK and CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK must be explicitly declared, otherwise a propagation can lead to an interface violation. A violation of the interface leads to the treatable exception CX_SY_NO_HANDLER. Exceptions of the category CX_NO_CHECK are implicitly always declared. The declaration of exceptions of the category CX_STATIC_CHECK is statically checked in the syntax check. For exceptions of the category CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK, the check is not performed until runtime. In a function module in which class-based exceptions are declared with the RAISING addition, the statement CATCH SYSTEM-EXCEPTIONS cannot be used. Instead, the relevant treatable exceptions should be handled in a TRY control structure.
    The addition EXCEPTIONS is used to define a list of non-class-based exceptions that can be triggered in the function module using the statements RAISE or MESSAGE RAISING. Exceptions defined in this way - as with formal parameters - are bound to the function module and cannot be propagated. If an exception of this type is triggered in a function module, and no return value has been assigned to it with the homonymous addition EXCEPTIONS of the CALL FUNCTION statement when the call was made, this leads to a runtime error.
    Note
    For new developments after release 6.10, SAP recommends that you work with class-based exceptions that are independent of the function module.
    Plz follow these steps:::
    for creating the function modile initiallly we need to create the function group in se37 tcode.
    1.later create the function module:
    2. let us take some example
    in import -
    > im_kunnr type kunnr.
    3. export:::
    Ex_kna1 Type kna1.
    4. Source code: tab
    if not Im_kunnr is initial.
    select single * into ex_kna1
    from kna1
    where kunnr eq im_kunnr.
    5.save
    6. goto se80 and activate all the function module as a set.
    now u can use it in se38 z programs.
    hope u understood the logic to use try this..
    To be reward all helpfull naswers.

    Hi
    Yes, sometime you have to create our own custom Fun modules
    see the doc it is useful to create the fun modules

    RFC is a technology which is used to access a functions (Modules) from
    the remote systems.
    If a function module is set as remote enabled which can be access from
    the remote system via RFC.Eg: U can access the Remote enabled function modules in ur VB,Webdynpro,Java,Visual composer program.
    A function module can be set as remote enabled by SE37->Go to ur FM->click the option Button "remote enabled".
    But Normal function modules can not accessd from the remote system.
    Good Example for RFC enabled function module is : BAPI(Business Application Programming Interface)
    Note: All BAPIs are Remote enabled but not all remote enabled function modules are BAPI.
    CALLING A FUNCTION MODULE:
    1)In U ABAP Editor --> Click "Patter" ---> Selection Option Button "Call Function"
    --> Write the Corresponding FM name --> Hit Enter
    2)The appropriate import ,export Parameters will be displayed in ur editor
    3)Pass the Values Here.

When you ask for a report with the parameters DESTYPE = cache and DESFORMAT = pdf, it is fully generated and in the Address or Location box of the browser, you can see http://webserver/cache/report.pdf (where cache is the virtual directory defined in the OWAS in which the .pdfs are cached). So, users cant see the Url used to generate the report.
    Im trying to upgrade this configuration to Reports 6i with Cgi in a web server. I generate reports with no problems. The problem I have is I cant find how to hide the parameters values as before. I mean, when I ask for a report, once its generated I can see http://webserver/cgi-bin/rwcgi60.exe?server=ServerName&report=report.rdf&userid=user/pass@connection&destype=cache&desformat=pdf&P1=value1&P2=value2 in the Location box. It allows user to ask for another report changing the values of the parameters. I use these parameters to execute some query written in the Data Model. For example, imagine that the P1 represents the company id, the user (that is supposed to see only data of its company) can change this id, ask for a new report and see data of another company.
    Ive already tried to use the key mapping option, but its not useful to me because the parameters values are dynamic and its impossible to define different entries in the cgicmd.dat for each possible value. The option of loading the parameter form before running a report is not useful to me either, because there exists specific screens for this purpose.
    Is there any solution?
    Thank you.

    Hi Rakesh,
      I am using BI  7.0
    The last option I have is 'Hide' for 'Calculate single values as' .
    I have the below options  for 'Calculate single values as'
    1. Normalise  according to Next group  level  Resul.
    2. Normalize according to  Overall Result
    3. Rank number
    4.Olympic Rank Number
    5.Maximum
    6. Minimum
    7.Counter for all detailed values
    8.Counter for all detailed values that are non zero
    9.Moving average
    10.Moving average  That is  Not zero ,null or Error
    11. Hide.
    So could you please tell me where i can find 'suppress result' option for the keyfigure .
    Many thanks

  • Internal Error -5000 when creating AP Credit Memo

    hi all, i've some problem when trying to create AP Credit Memo  using VB.Net via SAP B1 SDK.
    My application keep throwing error "Internal Error -5000 Occured"
    My friend suggest me to create AP Credit Memo using SAP B1 application first, then try using the same parameter that i inputed into the system to create AP Credit Memo using SDK, he said it ussualy works.
    I already try my friend suggestion to create AP Memo using SAP B1 Screen and it
    was worked.
    The information that i input when creating AP Memo via SAP screen are :
    - Vendor
    - Item/Service Type ="Service"
    - Item/Service Description
    - G/L Account
    - Tax Code ="VNC"
    - WTaxLiable =No
    But when I try to create AP Memo using VB.NET using SAP SDK, it still
    throwing the same exception as before (Internal Error -5000 Occured) even
    I passing the same parameter.
    Bellow is my code :
    For the master :
                            vAPmemo.DocObjectCode =
    SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oPurchaseCreditNotes
                            vAPmemo.DocType =
    SAPbobsCOM.BoDocumentTypes.dDocument_Service
                            vAPmemo.CardCode = "V001" ' txtCcode.Text
                            vAPmemo.DocDate = Now 'DatePosting.Value
                            vAPmemo.DocDueDate = Now ' DateDue.Value
                            vAPmemo.DocCurrency = "IDR"
                            vAPmemo.Comments = "Based On Tagihan  No. " &
    dtTable.Rows(j)("JurnalMemo").ToString.Trim & "."
    For The Detail :
                       vAPmemo.Lines.AccountCode =
    dtTable.Rows(j)("AccountCode").ToString.Trim
                            vAPmemo.Lines.BaseType = 18 'basetype = 19 (a/p
    credit memo)
                            vAPmemo.Lines.ItemDescription = "Test"
                            vAPmemo.Lines.WTLiable = SAPbobsCOM.BoYesNoEnum.tNO
                            vAPmemo.Lines.TaxCode = "VNC"
    vAPmemo.RowTotalFC= CDbl(dtTable.Rows(j)("Credit").ToString.Trim)
    Is there anything wrong in my code ?
    or missing parameter?

    Herfin

    HI,
    if you want ot create a A/P Credit memo, you do not have to give the basetype/BaseLine/BaseEntry fields between document lines.
    the correct is:
    vAPmemo.Lines.AccountCode =
    dtTable.Rows(j)("AccountCode").ToString.Trim
    vAPmemo.Lines.ItemDescription = "Test"
    vAPmemo.Lines.WTLiable = SAPbobsCOM.BoYesNoEnum.tNO
    vAPmemo.Lines.TaxCode = "VNC"
    vAPmemo.RowTotalFC= CDbl(dtTable.Rows(j)("Credit").ToString.Trim)
    if you want to create a A/P Credit memo based on Existing Invoice, you must have to provide the basetype/BaseLine/BaseEntry  which means:
    vAPmemo.Lines.BaseType = 18 'APInvoice
    vAPmemo.Lines.BaseEntry = 'Refrence docentry for A/P Invoice
    vAPmemo.Lines.BaseLine = 'reference to A/P Invoice linenumber
    Try this, it is now working.
    Best Regards,
    J.

  • Creating a new reports document

    Hi everyone,
    Iu2019m having an issue using In-Proc RAS when creating a new report document in .NET. The following code (C#) will fail (Saying that it requires a Loaded RPT file to do anything against that member)u2026
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument myTest = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
    myTest.ReportClientDocument.New()
    How are you suppose to create a new blank document using the CrystalReports engine? The only way I can do anything with the above object is to actually load a .RPT file. Itu2019s different then when using the RAS SDK which goes like:
    ReportClientDocument objClientDoc = new ReportClientDocument(); //this is a ReportAppServer object
    u2026Set The Report Server Nameu2026
    objClientDoc.New();
    Thanks for the help!
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    If you are using ReportDocument object then you need to load the object with a report name.
    //define the object
    ReportDocument rdocument = new ReportDocument();
    //load the report
    rDocument.Load(path of the report);
    //View the report
    CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource=rdoc;
    However if you use the RAS then you need to use the ReportClient document object for it.
    //define the object
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument rdoc1 = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
    // assign it to the reportclient object
    ISCDReportClientDocument rClient1 = rdoc1.ReportClientDocument;
    //Load the report
    rdoc1.Load(path of the report);
    //View the report.
    crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = rdoc1;
    So I do not see any reason why we would need the New() method.
    Does that help?
    AG.
