Partiton is vary small, it should be bigger

Hi All
I've changed the partition sized of a disk(which is actual a raid system). Anyway, this is what I see when a print the partitions (from inside 'format'):

Thats all good!
However when I mount partition 7 at /work I get the following from 'df -k':
/dev/dsk/c0t5d0s7 10083661 837336 9145489 9% /work
So, available is 9145489 which is about 9GB........ I'm not sure but it might be the old size of the partition...............
So I assume I forgot something, but what, do I need to format the partition (how ?) ??

Thnx, that did work for one disk!!
But the other disk returns the following:

Nikon D80 images should be bigger than D70??

I expected RAW to give me the choice of larger image sizes for my new D80 compared with the D70 images. Although properties correctly lists the 10Meg of the D80 c/w the 6 of the D70, when it comes to choosing a size of image to open with images from either in RAW, both the minimum (1540x1024) and the max (6144x4085) sizes that it offers are the same for both cameras, each creating 71.8 Meg file size and no discernible difference in quality. Am I missing something here? I expected an increase in size/quality.... Using CS2 fully updated and 3.7 RAW.

Yes, i can see your confusion. i think you mean ppi instead of iso,but thats a small point. i also used to shoot medium format,but would never go back. i think what i can do with the d200 is pretty darn close in quality, but i tend to stick around 13x19 these days. not sure what a lambda does, but have you ever tried printing at a lower ppi,like 200 or 300? i think you will quickly come to appreciate all that digital offers, if you are just diving in.

Create a small list from a bigger list, on some criteria

I have a list of java objects, i want to create small list on some criteria for some calculation, so i dont have to loop through all the big list, but create a small list,
what is the best way to do so, i can loop through the big list and then add objects that match the criteria to another list, but is there any other way, like using comparator or some thing any ideas

To Construct An Array Of Smaller Holograms From A Bigger One.

Hi,
Here I am attaching my LabVIEW VI where I need some help.
The VI attached generates a hologram of dimension 512x512.
With this dimension I need to construct an array of 4x4 holograms
each of dimension 128x128 with different mx and my value(for each) and place them
side by side to form a 4x4 hologram matrix (So, that now I have a total 16 smaller holograms each of dimension 128x128 placed in an array of dimension 4x4).
I don't know how to do this in LabVIEW. It will really be a great help for me if anyone helps me out here.

Firefox 29.0 opens new windows from clicking links that are in a smaller window, should open as maximized window. How to change?

How do I click a link on a web page, and not have to maximize the window every time? Firefox 29 seemed to add this additional click annoyance and I can't see how to change that. I do not want full screen mode which is what Firefox calls it when it removes an additional row of menu items. I mean maximizing the window so I don't have to do it each time! Please tell me how to change the settings and restore this normal feature.

IPod suddenly "smaller" as well as "bigger"!

My iPod 80 (80 GB) model just behaved weirdly on a sync. Name became "offline" and it showed it empty. Tried resetting it 4 times, didn't help. I restored to factory setting, and now it shows the capacity as 910 MB, although it shows the free space as 120GB! What in the world? Any ideas?

FTS on small Materialized View, should I cache it in the KEEP Pool ?

I have a small MV (1773 rows) that is used in a Query JOIN (the query & the explain plan is attached below). Although I already create index for the MV, it is always FTS in the query.
I read a Tuning tips, that FTS on small table should be cached in the KEEP POOL, with this command :
ALTER TABLE ITT.MV_CONVERT_UOM STORAGE (BUFFER_POOL KEEP);
Should I do this ?

Need help with the hover over images from small to bigger

I read the tutorial about the hover over the small image shows a bigger image. I thought I would try it own my own but it did not work, do I need to make a link to the CSS file or do I need to do something different. Please help

Get Variant Attribute Should Search for and return multiple values based on RegEx

I am using Variants as lookup tables (see this article):
Using Variant Attributes to Build a Dictionary or Look-up Table
I would like to be able to use some sort of wildcard to return multiple results from the Get Variant Attribute VI (all results are of the same type, and I don't know the exact names of all the results - those two points make this idea distinct from this idea: Set/Get Variant Attribute for Multiple Attributes).
Ideally the wildcard would be RegEx. If it were, the means by which you specify what to return is standardized.
In the above example, there would be some ambiguity in terms of whether or not you would want to return a result or an array of results given an input, and I doubt you could detect and assume RegEx is what the programmer desires to use. So I think this means a new input would be required to specify whether or not the "name" input of the Get Variant Attribute VI should be interpreted as a RegEx query.

Why RegEx? Why not SQL query? Why not filename wildcard matching?
I don't see anything that makes RegEx special. For this kind of functionality, the code that you've written seems like exactly the right way to do it rather than bolting a RegEx parser or any other system into the primitives or clouding the palette with a bunch of primitives to support various search functions. I could see a primitive that takes a VI refnum that has a conpane of string in/boolean out that you would pass in to supply the filter functionality that you want for any given application, but even that I'd lean toward just letting that be a library that someone writes on top of the primitives. Yes, there is some memory reduction that can be done if it is internal to the primitives, no question about that. But there are so many variations in how to do that filtration/sorting/etc that I'm not confident that any prim would cover a sufficient use case to be worth it. I could be wrong here ... let's see what other comments come in.

Dynamic Variant for Report

How to put current date in report output through variants.
I should not use events, when user selects variants then i should place the current date in my selection-screen.

U have to create a dynamic variant for this.
Fallow these steps.
1. Fill all the selection screen values including date(Current date).
2. Save it as variant(ctrl+S), give variant name and description.
3. In the same screen u can see some check boxes corrosponding to each selection screen parameter.
Now for the date field select the check box under
L Selection variable and then press the push button selection variables in the tool bar.
4. Now u will get the date range in the next screen.
5. Here press the yellow light under D, it will become green colour.
5. Next press drop down(Small arrow pointing down at the end of date)
6. Now u will get a list of options for calculations.
7. Here select current date.
8. Now save the variant.
This completes setting up of dynamic variant.
Now when ever u select this variant it will populate the selection screen with current date and remaining fields with the data u save while creating the variant.

How can I convert array of database variant to cluster?

When I use the Database Connectivity Toolkit to read a recordset from a database, I just use a SQL query. This returns an array of variant data. I have always just indexed this array in a sequence structure that has the database variant conversion function in it and build a cluster from that. There has got to be an easier way, but I can't find it. Of course, my recordset has various data types in it. Any ideas?

Here is the seed of an idea I had been nocking around.
Compose an SQL query based on the cluster elements. I chose to use the caption of the cluster elements so that the unbundles have the names I want but the caption can be set to match the collumn names from the table. (If you really want to get fancy, update the captions of the cluster of the typedef before the application opens)
Do the query and get your array of variants. They should be returned in the order of the query (which we composed based on the cluster order)
Pass the array of variants into another foor loop that uses the Class ID to do the variant conversion.
Come to think of it....
Just wiring the variants to the geneic value refs of the cluster may be good enough.?????
In theory if "cluster" is a type def, new fileds can be added to tthe typedef and it should get updated from the DB.
Maybe turn this into a template?
