Partner type / function for IDOC SHPMNT

Hello all,
my intention is to send a shipment to another system via IDOC SHPMNT. So i think the partner function should be a logical system (LS).
But the output determination does not work, it always requires the partner function CR or (Carrier) or SH (Ship-to party) partnertype LI (vendor/creditor) or KU (customer).
So is it in general possible so sent this IDOC within a shipment to partnerfunction LS (logical system).

In my opinion, it should not be possible.
Because Logical system is not a trading partner and EDI is a communication medium and hence should send messages only to trading partners.
However, you can always use exits to modify the control record.

I have created new Partner function and assigned PE partner type to it and done all assignments to creates sales employee. while i am creating sales employee with VD01with external no 200 but in partner functions tab in sales area, system is not automatically taking external no. Thanks for your reply, but PE partner function has partner type AU(contanct person). While creating sales order system is not accepting sales employee no which was created with PA30. i want sales employee should get commission on his customers sales order. I have been searching for this setting and posing questions in this form. Unfortunately i couldnot get proper answers. Can you tell me the configuration steps in detail.

Mapping issues while using MapwithDefault Node function for Idoc

Hi Experts,
We are facing issues while trying to generate nodes at reciver side even though it does not exist at sender side.
we are using the matmas05 and we want the nodes E1marcm and e1mardm to generated at target structure.
the structure is like this

 E1marcm

 msgfn
 .....other fields
 E1mardm (can be many segments)
 segment
 lgort
 ..other fields
 E1mpgdm
 segment
 ...e1mpgdm fields
the mapping has been done like:
e1marcm -mapwithdefault-e1marcm
constant -segment
werks-mapwithdefault-werks
other fields(one to one mapping)
e1mardm-mapwith default-e1mardm
lgort-mapwithdefault(value 1000)-lgort
other fields -one to one mapping
now the problem we are facing is when e1mardm is not existing in source structure the values from the other node of e1mardm(which exists) are getting overwritten into it.
we want only the lgort to be 1000 and the segment should populate at target side.
like
e1mardm
segment
lgort value 1000
Could you please assist in solving this issue and give your valuable suggestions as how could we handle it.

U will achieve this using UDF function. Map the below Like.
e1mardm-mapwith default(Value Constant)-e1mardm

Other one to one mapping fields also you should use one more UDF.

Partner Profile settings for IDOCs

Hi,
when i posted the IDOC, it left the status 51.
i think which means "Application not posted".
do i need to change the partner profile!
if yes please let me know how to change that.

As mentioned in the earlier reply you need to check idoc listing WE02.
You may also want to look into the partner profile- WE20 and see if what you are trying to pass thru has been set up correctly. Make sure the correct port is defined along with the partner details.
If you need to edit the IDoc , you can do it from WE02 by clicking on the segment and then going into the Change mode. The other option of re- processing Idocs is using the testing tool- WE19 or the re-process Idocs BD87 transactions.

Wrong Partner Type in IDoc with message type REMADV

Dear all,
We have created 2 IDocs, one for outbound (first in one company code) and one for inbound (receiving company code) with transaction F110 (message type REMADV, Idoc basic type PEXR2001). However, for the first outbound IDoc we have created, we have the wrong Partner type (we would like it to get type KU (customer)) LS (Logic system).
Does anyone know how to change the partner type from the Idoc generationg?

Welcome to SDN.
Please delete the exisiting outbound partner profile (WE20) for message type REMADV which under partner type LS (Logical System) and setup new outbound partner profile for partner type KU (Customer).

RFFOEDI1 - PEXR2002 Partner type other than B

I would like to utilize partner type LS for the PAYEXT(PEXR2002) IDOC. However, in the config for partner profile in the house bank for EDI, I only see partner profiles for Partner Type B? Anyway to use LS as the partner type? I need LS for the interface mechanism I am utilizing.

Thanks I did have the LS partner type configured, the issue I was having that in the house bank set-up under EDI, the only partner profiles that come up are those under partner type B. I think it is that way since it is a bank.
The LS partners are not selectable in the house bank config. I think it is that way and only that way, thoughts?

Hi Piyush,
You can go to the following path.
SPROSDBFPartner determinationSet up partner determination---Set up Partner determination for Customer master (or for any other transaction too)
Here you can see that partner types are also defined along with the partner functions we use. We can copy the partner type and create a new one.
Whenever we create a new Partner Function, the function has to be assigned to one of the partner types so that the partner function can behave as the partner type. For example if a partner function is assigned to partner type KU, then a partner of that PF can behave like a partner type.

Error when Loading Metadata for IDOC Adapter

Everybody,
I know this should be pretty straight forward and that there are a few posts about it. But following the Demo 3.0 guide and the posts I can't seem to load the data into the IDOC Adapter. I did every step in the guide and when I try to execute IDX2 for the source port I previously created I get the error "No RFC Destination is maintained for the port".
Following the guide I have my XI host
ID:ABC
Instance:01
Client:700
Executed IDX1 and got port SAPABC_107 with RFC Dest-ABC_107, which I defined previously with transaction sm59 and the test came back ok.
When I try to execute IDX2 I get the error message...
What am I missing ?????

Everything was setup before (by following the XI 3.0 Demo guide) here are the steps I did:
1. Setup an RFC R/3 Destination on my client 107 (American Airlines) to client 700 (my XI): ABC_700
2. Setup an RFC R/3 Destination on my client 700 to client 107: ABC_107
3. Setup the IDOC processing port "SAPABC" on client 107 with RFC Destination ABC_700.
4. Define partner type LS for logical system ABCCLNT105 (Airline Lufthansa)
5. Define partner type LS for logical system ABCCLNT700 (XI)
6. Specified the ALE distribution model in client 107.
7. Execute IDX1, I input the SAPABC port created in step 3, input the client number 107 and the RFC destination ABC_107 created in step 2 and save. The result is port SAPABC_107.
AND..!! where the error occurs:
8. Execute IDX2 input port SAPABC_107 and idoc type and get the error message "No RFC Destination is maintain for SAPABC_107"

The client 107 represents the Airline American Airlines and has a R/3 RFC Destination to client 700, my XI. The same way my XI has an R/3 RFC Destination to client 107.

Adding Partner new partner types

I am trying to create a custom partner type 'ZP' for my service notifications. This i would like to assign to my partner function 'ZX'. In iw51 when i am creating a service notification under the 'tasks' tab when i set the 'task processor' as 'ZX' i want the F4 help for the 'responsible' collumn to pick values from a Z table. is this achievable?? please help.
i have already defined and assigned 'ZX'. using tcode we44 i have defined 'ZP'. i am not being able to assign ZX to ZP as the F4 help
is not giving me ZP as an option.

Message Types in DELVRYxx IDocs

Can anyone tell me why SHPORD/WHSORD/SHPCON/WHSCON message types apply for idoc DELVRY03 but not for DELVRY05? I thought each new version of the IDoc would still be used for the original message types.

Maybe because of some problems. For example : [Note 971803 - No IDoc object types for SHPCON and WHSCON|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/971803].
But I found no proof of this change! Normally it can't be changed without a note (I mean, without informing).
For information, this note created the messages : [Note 311664 - Assignment of IDoc type DELVRY02 is incomplete|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/311664].

What is the need of creating partner functions for sales document type.

Actually we create partner functions before creating customer ex: sold to party, ship to party, bill to party, and payer.
These partner functions are going to be copied into sales order while processing sales order.
Again what is the need of creating partner functions for sales document type.

There are some Partners you could enter at Sales ORder Level. E.g. Sales Person, Employee Responsible, Forwarding Agent, Broker, etc.
Thus these partner Determination need to be carried out at Sales Order Level & not at Customer Master level.
So we have to configure partner Determination for various levels e.g. Customer Master, Sales Order, Delivery level etc...

The only difference between INFRECMASS01 and INFREC01 is that repitition of the same segments. However, the standard function module is hardcoded with IDOC type INFREC01, so if you want to use the MASS IDOC copy the standard one and put in the logic to loop around and process the info records one by one.
There is no standard funtion that can process mass idoc of the info record.

Hi Debi,
You can use FM MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE to distribute outbound IDoc CODCMT01, CODCAGN01 and PRCDOC01.

Have you looked standard program RBDSEINF or transaction code ME18?
This program will call function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_REQ_INFREC to generate purchasing info record IDoc.
