Pass BODS job parameters as HAVA View parameters

Hi experts,
I use HANA Calculation View as Data Source and need to pass BODS job's parameters into Calculation View parameters. I have tried to use SQL Transformation with code like this (see below) but it doesn't work.
select RRCTY, RYEAR, FISCAL_PERIOD as POPER, FISCAL_YEAR_PERIOD, RBUKRS, RACCT, RCNTR, WBS, RZZPERNR, PLEVEL, ROW, MEASURE, REP_ID
     from SOURCE_1.DIM_EMPLOYEE as emp
     inner join "_SYS_BIC"."packeage/CalcView" (PLACEHOLDER."$$IP_SNAPSHOT_TIMESTAMP$$" => {$IP_SNAPSHOT_TIMESTAMP}, PLACEHOLDER."$$IP_REP_ID$$" => {$IP_REP_ID}) as mce1

How can I pass job parameters into HANA Calculation View from BODS?

There's nothing wrong with your theory, it will work as all Data Services is doing is constructing an SQL string as passing it to HANA. Which version of HANA are you using? The PLACEHOLDER syntax changed slightly, however I suspect you are missing some single quotes around your parameter values.
Get the SQL working succesfully via the HANA Studio (or hdbsql) then reverse engineer the parameterised statement for the SQL transform.

Here a global parameter is used to store a timeOut value. This value is written to every web page to force the page to refresh.

How to pass selection screen parameters to a BEx IView?

Hi Experts,
I have added BI Reports in EP and I want to pass the default input parameters to the BI IView as soon as its accessed in EP.
Can some one tell me how can I achieve this? Is there a way to pass the input parameters in the "Application Parameters" property of the BEx Iview?

don't you mean he other way around. Assign text-elements (selection texts) to select options?
This you do in the menu where you can find text-elements, selection texts.
menu Goto->text elements->selection texts.

Passing 2 date parameters in report

I have to create a report in such a way that ...i have to pass 2 date parameters to get the report..
For example..
I get report parameter pagein reports and then I enter the parameter
Parameter1: 27-MAY-10
Parameter2: 30_JUN-10
and then i click RUN REPORT
can any1 help me out how to pass this parameter in report... i am stuck at this point
NOTE: I want to use the parameter form feature in report builder....

if i understand, you want to pass the parameters from the parameterform your report to the report.
i think you must create a parameterform and save it als html like this:
To create a simple Parameter Form in HTML:

you can save this code als .html.
Now you can open the code in the report builder and save it als .jsp.
you can yet start with the copilation of the report.

Web Service Job Parameters with Job Actions

I have a set of web service jobs for which I am supplying input parameters. This works fine when defined against a single particular job but i have a need to insert this job based upon a job event and pull some information off of the job the had the event condition occur (i.e. Completed Abnormally). When defining the Job Action to launch the job, the default and override parameter fields are not editable. Has anyone had any luck with this? I didn't notice anything in the documentation but I could have just overlooked this. Any help would be appreciated.

Me to, and i use Axis for web services (and WebSphere
WebServices).
And, if you use bind from text input you get [object Object]
in general case
<mx:request>
<value>{entry1.text}</value>
</mx:request>
<mx:TextInput x="23" y="101" text="" id="entry1"/>
if you enter any text at textinput and delete it you DONT get
"[object Object]" at web service....
if you dont enter text you get "[object Object]" at web
service...
if you use variable or other elements its the same.
Any help?

Which ABAP program - the one that will be executed as a job step? If yes, I don't believe you can "pass" something to it because it will be started by "job starter" of SAP background processing run-time system. The ABAP program executed in background can, however, get the job run-time information using FM GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFO, which also returns EVENTID and EVENTPARM. Is that the event parameters you were looking for?

Yes, I've done this too. Basic SQL though will not allow the updating of a table inside a function, so we have to get clever. The trick is to use the PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS TRANSACTION command. Here's an example:
FUNCTION UPDATE_MYTABLE(P_VALUE IN NUMBER)
RETURN VARCHAR2 IS
PRAGMA AUTONOMOUS_TRANSACTION;
BEGIN
UPDATE SCHEMA_OWNER.MY_TABLE SET MY_VALUE = P_VALUE;
COMMIT;
RETURN('Done');
END UPDATE_TABLE;
When the update has been completed the Discoverer worksheet will respond with 'Done'.
Everyone: don't forget to grant EXECUTE on this function to all of the necessary users, including the EUL owner, and also don't forget to import the function using the Admin edition so that it is available for the users. You will also need to make sure that all necessary users have been granted the UPDATE privilege on the table.

To pass the page parameters to a form in portal

I am trying to develope a simple page using portal which contains
1. Simple parameter form.
2. Form that accepts the data from the simple parameter form.
I want to pass 2 page parameters to this form(no.2)
Is it possible to pass the page parameters to a form in portal?

Calling procedures multiple times passing rum time parameters

i ve this small prob with my procedure..my proc is
CREATE or replace PROCEDURE sad(star_val number,dept_id number) IS

and i call this proc using a loop and give the values at runtime..

v_count := 4;
loop
sad(&value,&dept);
v_count := v_count-1;
exit when v_count=0;
end loop;
end;
this procedure runs only once with out looping 3 times..can anybody help me out..

anyway : how do you know it ran only once ?
most probably it ran 5 times doing the same update defined by &value,&dept
ahh, now I get it, you believe you'll be asked again and again to enter values for &value,&dept .

Passing user defined parameters in oracle reports thru command line

We are currently using Reports 6i with Oracle 10g 10.2.0.4.0
I would like to know that is it possible to pass user defined parameters values while calling report from command line.
For Example: I am using following coding to call report from command line.

Fortunately I am able to perform the required task as I just added the report parameter field as follows:

bank_id is the report parameter using in where clause.

does anyone of you know how to pass whitespaces as parameters to sqlplus?
I am struggeling with with problem for quite a while now.
I tried doing this the following way:
sqlplus mydb/mydb@mysid @mypath\myfile.sql param1 param2 ' ' param4 ' '
sqlplus mydb/mydb@mysid @mypath\myfile.sql param1 param2 " " param4 " "
sqlplus mydb/mydb@mysid @mypath\myfile.sql param1 param2 '\ ' param4 '\ '
but none of this is working. Any more ideas?
