Pass Value To Href Tag

Below is my Code. On a mousover and MouseOut events of the
Tag the Image on the second TD changes.
As you noticed the Image is not Hyperlinked. Is there a way I
could create a Hyperlink over the Image on TD 2 and Pass the Href
hyperlink values of the 1st TD to the Second on MouseOver and
MouseOut events? See Code below

Yes you can. But not with ColdFusion. You are asking a
JavaScript question so I would suggest you go to a JavaScript board
and ask there.

  • Passing values with href.

    I am creating a report region by selecting some fields from the table. I then made one particular field a hyper link and i want to have a pop up window (to select some criteria) when you click on the hyperlink.
    My pop up window display will be different depending on which hyperlink you have clicked (depending on datatype). How can I pass a value or a set of values (separated by comma) so I can see and use those values in pop up window and can display and hide particular item/items
    Help is highly appreciated.

    Hi Prashant,
    There are a few ways of doing this - this is what I do when I need this sort of functionality
    1) in the report select the column you want to link on - or create a derived column
    2) in the link column set the target to URL
    3) in the URL field type something like:
    javascript:popup('#ST#','#STATE_NAME#');
    where the values between the hash symbols are the values you want to pass to the new window
    4) create a new window with hidden items corresponding to the values that you want to pass
    5) in the report page go the page attributes and add some javascript in the HTML header section:
    <script language="javascript">
    function popup(value1,value2){
    var newWindow;
    newWindow = window.open("f?p=&APP_ID.:2:&APP_SESSION.::NO::P2_TEXT1,P2_TEXT2:"+value1+","+value2+"","myWindow","width=200,height=400");
    newWindow.focus();
    </script>
    where the value1 and value2 parameters are the values passed in and the P2_TEXT1 and P2_TEXT2 are the items on the popup page you want to populate.
    If you do a general search on the internet for window.open you should be able to find the other attributes that can be used to hide scrollbars, status bar etc, if that is needed.
    hope that helps

  • How can I send textfield(entered by user) values thru href tag ?

    Hi,
    I need to send the text field values of that page to servlet thru link.How can get the value in the same page.
    And also How can I assign one value to a local variable of jsp from javascript?

    And also How can I assign one value to a local
    variable of jsp from javascript?If I am understanding this question correctly, you need an explanation of how JSP works.
    Somebody sends a request to your server and as a result, your JSP runs. It generates HTML, which may include Javascript, and sends that HTML back to the browser where the request came from. At this point the JSP is finished. You can't affect its output any more.
    Next the browser receives that HTML, and any Javascript it may include. It renders the HTML and displays it, and it may run some Javascript functions. But those Javascript functions cannot affect the output of the JSP because it already finished.

  • How to get a value given to a button in HTML using a href tag

    Hi,
    In my application I have loaded  html  content  in WebView. In the HTML file i have used a Button to which i have given some value in href tag as
    <a href="ButtonClick//testing/mysample">
    <input type="button" value="Click me" />
    </a>
    When i click the button i want to get the string "ButtonClick//testing/mysample" in my app..  But i do not want to use InvokeScript() on my webview.. Could anyone please give me a solution for this?..
    Thank you.

    The only way to interact with HTML content from WebView is using JavaScript. You can do this by invoking such scripts from your C# code (using InvokeScript) or embedding the JavaScript method into the button you are working with.
    But you need to know that if you intend to get a return value from your JavaScript code, you would need to use the InvokeScript.
    Here's an example of printing the value from your hyperlink without InvokeScript. But note that it only prints the value and can't return the value to your C# code without InvokeScript.
    string htmlContent = @"
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type='text/javascript'>
    function myFunction()
    document.getElementById('myResult').innerHTML = document.getElementById('myLinkConent').href.substring(6); //remove 'about:' from href string
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>
    <a id='myLinkConent' href='ButtonClick//testing/mysample'>
    </a>
    <input type='button' value='Click me' onclick='myFunction()'/>
    <p id='myResult'></p>
    </body>
    </html>";
    Let me know if this helps.

  • JSP Custom Tags, Tag Handlers, Passing values

    Multiple questions here while I try to work with custom tags (its a requirement):
    From what I have had so far - I have a .tld file, a .java file and a .jsp page.
    (this is not a working version as I just got it from a website)
    platform: tomcat on an xp box.
    I was wondering if we can pass the parameters that are passed to the the jsp page (like blah.jsp?param1=value1&param2=valu2 ) to the tag handler?
    This is because the processing that I need to do in the handler would depend on what I have in the passed values.
    Any help in letting me know where to place those files on the tomcat context root would help. Please see, I do have a couple of servlets running on the box also and they might be in the same context root.
    Any good short tutorial link is also welcome as a short answer as I try to unravel the custom tags in jsp.

    I am using TomCat 5.5
    What I need to do using tags is to build a web-page on the fly by polling a couple of different tables in the database.
    This is to be done using a jsp and custom tag (requirement) which would be able to handle any resultsets. We also have to come up with pageContext attribute names and supply column names as those attributes. Thus we will have to come up with the meta data file and a tag library descriptor as well.
    I found a helloworld solution on a website and was trying to modify it to meet my needs. But I guess I under-estimated the work that needed to be done in this one.

  • How to pass src value into img tag in ADF

    Hi,
    My Dev : 11.1.2.3.0
    How to pass row values into <img> tag.,I used the below code but it's taking empty.,
    I tried both ways like #{row.CdFilePath}   and   ${row.CdFilePath}
    <af:iterator var="row"
                      value="#{bindings.xxx.collectionModel}"
                     id="i2">
         <img src='/ShowImage?src=#{row.CdFilePath}' border='0' style="width:100px; height:100px; margin:5px;"/>
    </af:iterator>
    Please tell me any other option is there..
    Thanks

    This works if you use a normal table so I guess it should work here too.
    Are you sure the el #{row.CdFilePath} return something?
    Why don't you use the adf image tag <af:image source="/ShowImage?src=#{row.CdFilePath}".../> instead of the html img tag?
    Should the src property not be enclosed with " instead of your '?

  • Passing "Value Objects" from one JSP to next  (2)

              Someone posted a response from BEA which has since disappeared, it was no different
              from what I was doing and it I still can't get it to store the information in
              the Value Object.
              I get values (true/false) from a Radio button on a FORM in a JSP, press a "Next
              Step" Button.
              I have a "Value Object" in JSP_1, which I use the setters to store various information
              obtained from the <FORM>. I then "jsp:forward" to JSP_2, set different information
              and then I "jsp:forward" to JSP_3 & so on. At the end of the JSP chain only the
              last setter is has the value "true", all the other values are false, despite all
              being "set" to "true".
              The "Value Object" is not storing the information set in previous JSPs. When I
              initially create the "value object" I use;
              <jsp:useBean id="myVO" class="uk.co.notify.valueobjects.MyVO" scope="request"
              />
              <jsp:setProperty name="myVO" property="*"/>
              In JSP_2 JSP999 I don't use <jsp:setProperty> I let the setter in the VO do
              it.
              I am using WebLogic 6.1 sp2 under Windows 2K Pro.
              Any pointers. Thanks.
              [att1.html]

    Ok. here's the difference.
              Hitting submit is altogether a different "new" http request. It will send a
              new request from your browser to the server. Whereas, the jsp:forward is
              within the server itself.
              So the VO object whose scope is set to "request" will not retain its values
              between 2 http request.
              For such kind of parameter passing, you could very well store the info. in
              user's session object.
              I hope this helps.

  • Passing params to custom tag from jsp

    Hi all, I have a problem passing params back to my custom tag. The tag handler has a "getPageNumber()" method which returns a value. Initially the value is set and if a link is clicked it passes that param to the tag handler. I am trying to get this value from the tag handler to update the value on the link parameter.
    Something like this:
    // processed tag
    <a href="mypage.jsp?page=1">Next page</a>
    // clicking "Next Page"
    <a href="mypage.jsp?page=2">Next page</a>
    // jsp
    <taglib:tag param="<%=getPageNumber()%>"  />
    // in tag lib
    private pagenumber=1;
                pagenumber++;
    getPageNumber(){
    return pagenumber;
    setPageNumber(int pagenumber){
       this.pagenumber=pagenumber
    }I'm not sure if this is the best way to do this or if what I am trying to do is even possible.
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks :)

  • Syntax for href tag in out.println

    Hi,
    In the jsp, the table displays document number from the for loop in it.
    I'm trying to put a hyperlink using href tag to the document number which is in the value "table.getString("VBELN")"
    out.println(var + table.getString("VBELN"));
    I do not know the correct syntax or any alternative to acheive the hyperlink for the document numbers displayed in the jsp. One that I tried is
    out.println(var + "<a href="">" + table.getString("VBELN") + "</a>");
    Appreciate your timely help.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Ashish.
    I too had the same problem and so couldn't post my question properly and completely.
    I've sent you an e-mail in reply.
    I need to pass parameter and open the URL with the parameter and no toolbars.
    Looking forward to your earliest possible reply. Thanks again.

  • Passing values to sub-forms  (Varaible scoping)

    I have a "parent" form that calls one of 6 subforms. I'm trying to figure out how to pass values derived in the parent to a sub form.
    I am running IdM 8.1.0.9 in glassfish 2.1.1. I set up these test forms to work through this:
    my Parent Form:
    <Form name='parent' objectLocationID='objectType=UserForm&objectName=parent&objectPath=0&isBegin=true'>
      <Display class='EditForm'/>
        <Include>
          <ObjectRef id='#ID#UserForm:child1' type='UserForm' name='child1'/>
        </Include>
        <!-- This value needed in child 1 form -->
        <defvar name='myvalue'>
          <s>test123</s>
        </defvar>
        <Field name='myfield'>
          <Expansion>
            <ref>myvalue</ref>
          </Expansion>
        </Field>
    <!--  My attempt at using <Variable>, IdM doesn't like this
        <Variable name='myextvar' external='true'>
          <ref>myvalue</ref>
        </Variable>
    -->
        <FormRef name='child1'/>
    </Form>
    my Child1 Form:
            <Form name='child1' objectLocationID='objectType=UserForm&objectName=child1&objectPath=0&isBegin=true'>
                <Display class='EditForm'/>
    <!--
               <Include>
                    <ObjectRef type='UserForm' id='#ID#UserForm:parent' name='parent'/>
                </Include>
    -->
                <Field name='subtext'>
                    <Display class='Text'>
                        <Property name='title'>
                            <concat>
                              <s>pre1:</s>
    <!--
                               <FieldRef objectLocationID='objectType=UserForm&objectName=marty&objectPath=0&isBegin=true' name='myvalue'/>
    -->
                               <ref>myvalue</ref>
                              <s>:1post</s>
                            </concat>
                        </Property>
                    </Display>
                </Field>
            </Form>I was hoping that child forms would share the scope of the parent, and I could just use a <ref> tag in the child form, but that doesn't seem to work. So I started looking at FieldRef/FormRef but I'm not sure they are the right answer either.
    When the include in the child form is uncommented, I get :
    An unrecoverable error has occurred processing the request. Contact your system administrator.
    Syslog ID = LG-0405-115539.
    I'm guessing that this is because I include a form that includes this form, and created an endless include loop?
    When the FieldRef is uncommented, I get this error:
    Attruibute "objectLocationID" must be declared for element type "FieldRef".
    The <Variable> tag (defined as external) looks promising, but I haven't run across a good example of how to use it.
    When I try to add a <Variable> to my parent form, I get the error: Content of element type "Form" must match...
    This doc: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-5821/bvaex?a=view
    says that <Variable> is a valid form element, but IdM disagrees.
    Any suggestions on how to achieve the passing of values from one for to another would be greatly appreciated.

    An advice I usually follow: Skip defvars and variables, and stick to fields, hidden, not using any Display class that is, if you just need to use the field as an variable. Field are a lot more practical IMHO.

  • Passing values to Jframe from JApplet

    i need to open a frame when someone clicks on some particular part of an applet. also, i need to pass some values to that frame based on the region selected.

  • Passing Values Child to Child...Need Help

    I am a bit of a noob, and I'm having a problem.  I had posted about this before but I think I was explaining what I need to do in way to much of a complicated manner so I'm going to try and simplify this a bit.
    I have 5 swf's.
    - main.swf (parent)
    - child01.swf
    - child02.swf
    - child03.swf
    - child04.swf
    When main.swf runs, it loads child03.swf on the bottom (eventhough levels are not relevent in AS3) child01.swf and child02.swf load on top of child03.swf.
    main.swf has an arrow button, to proceed to the next screen.  When the arrow button is pressed it unloads child01.swf, child02.swf and child03.swf, it then loads child04.swf.
    Here is my problem... child03.swf has dynamic text boxes, named tf0 - tf14, which get passed values by functions in each of those files.  I need to pass these same values to dynamic text boxes on child04.swf.
    The thing that concerns me is that child01.swf and child02.swf get unloaded when the arrow button is pressed.  I would assume that the values stored in these text boxes get unloaded as well.  If this is the case I need to store these values before the unload happens, which I am not sure how to do.
    Then once I store these values they need to pass to the dynamic text boxes, named tf15 - tf 29, in child04.swf.  I have been researching, and researching and cant find a solution.  Some talk about using LocalConnection.  kglad tried pointing me in the right direction using MovieClip, but I can't seem to get it working.
    I am including the script for the relevent files.
    main.swf
    stop();
    var Allergy_Tag:URLRequest = new URLRequest("child01.swf");
    var Info_Tag:URLRequest = new URLRequest("child02.swf");

  • Programatically passing values to a content selector

    HI,
    Currently Iam manually providing values to a property while creating a content selector from BEA Workshop.
    Please let me know whether it is possible to programmatically pass values to a property while creating a content selector from BEA Workshop.

    Hi
    have you looked at pz:contentSelector tag , the query and appendQuery attribute?
    query
    Optional (String) - A content query string used to search for content. This query overrides any query that was defined for the Content Selector in the Content Selector designer.
    Example:
    query="cm_contentType contains 'text' && author='Salinger'".
    appendQuery
    Optional (String) - A content query string to append to the resulting content query from the rule. If the content selector rule conditions do not match, this value will be ignored. If this value starts || (two vertical bars), it will be logically OR'ed with the content query. If it starts with && (two ampersands), it will be logically AND'ed with the content query. If it doesn't start with || or &&, it will be logically AND'ed with the content query

  • Error in passing value

    Hello expert,
    Need your help its Urgent
    Currently, in my report when user clicks on a particular column, popup will be display with more information for that particular data. This is working perfectly fine only if data or passing value doesn't contain “&” (and sign) character. If my data has got the “&” sign then popup will display with page not found error.
    Any suggestion or alternative, Please reply it’s urgent,
    Thanks in advance
    Sagar

    Hello sagardori,
    The first possible situation:
    The ampersand (&) is used in the URL syntax to pass variables. So if you have a text like this in an item:
    Hello I am the one & this is the otherthe parameter will pass like this:
    P1_ITEM:Hello I am the one & this is the other
    And the & will define that there iis a new parameter.
    Always use:
    &amp; instead of & when using an URL with HTML
    Had to put it in code tags, because it doesn't escape on the forum as well :)
    P.S.
    You can of course check the parameter in the URL of your popup page
    The second possible situation:
    When using special chars in APEX, you should be aware that the default way to handle text fields, textareas or even display values (like in a report) have 2 modes.
    1. Display as text(escape special characters)
    2. Standard Report Column
    There are actually some more variations but these two are the most straightforward. If you use the first, all special characters will be escaped. So if you put in:
    <script type='text/javascript'>
    alert('Hello, is it me you looking for');
    </script>You will get exactly that code, only because it's escaped.
    If you would put it in as a standard report column, it would show the alert box, because the code's not escaped, thus treated as a javascript.
    So in short,
    1. Check your URL (especially passing parameters)
    2. Check your report settings for the right type of text handling.
    Hope this helps,
