Passing EDI filename for 850 from B2B Gateway to BPEL

Hi,
Is there any way to pass the EDI filename for 850 from B2B Gateway to BPEL via AQ? we want to store the inbound filename in the database along with the PO.
we are using 10g.
Thanks,
Naveen

Hi Naveen,
Generally this could be done using the message id only as mentioned by ew. Just what you need to do is to lookup in the table and find the payload corresponding to that message id.
However, WORKAROUND would be to use "Preserve Filename" feature of 11g B2B (which works only for FILE,FTP and SFTP transport protocols). In this case you have to pass the filename in the header "ACTION", as mentioned by Nitesh.

  • Dynamic filename for stdout from cron

    OL 5.6 x86-64
I'm looking for a way to dynamicly specify a filename for stdout from a cron job.
From a command line, this works fine:
    /home/estevens/bin/x1 > /tmp/estevens_x1_log.`date +%F_%H%M%S`Producing the desired output:
    estevens:dwdev$ ls -ltr /tmp/est*
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 estevens estevens 96 Aug 13 10:23 /tmp/estevens_x1_log.2012-08-13_102356But when I put that in my crontab:
    12 * * * 1 /home/estevens/bin/x1 > /tmp/estevens_x1_log.`date +%F_%H%M%S`I get this result
/bin/sh: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while looking for matching ``'
/bin/sh: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file(Result comes to me in an auto-generated email)

The % sign has a special meaning in cron. A % is used to denote a new line in a crontab entry. You will simply have to escape the % signs and it should work, for instance:
    <pre>
    12 * * * 1 /home/estevens/bin/x1 > /tmp/estevens_x1_log.`date +\%F_\%H\%M\%S`
    </pre>

  • Passing a filename for Playsound()?

Hi!I have to call a function inside a dll for pocket pc 2002 from labview7: the function contains Playsound, in fact I want my pocket pc to play a file.wav, the problem is passing the filename as a parameter..as a CStr?PlaySound doesn't recognize it!
what's the right way to pass a string/filename for Playsound?
    thank you very much!!!
    Marta

To call a DLL from your PDA application requires you do what is reported in THIS DOCUMENT. There are several steps to perform to make your code suitable for PPC.
HERE you will find an example that shows what needs to be done.
Passing the Filename parameter to the Playsound Function in Winmm.dll is pretty straightforward. Use StdCall conventions and use CString for file name.

  • Best practice for version control B2B, ESB and BPEL

    Hello,
we are setting up a new system using B2B, ESB and BPEL. The development team is more experienced working with PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow and we are worried that Jdeveloper generates changes to the source files during development and that we might have problems with the version control.
Is there any best practice for setting up version control for these systems? Do we need to take anything in particular into consideration when setting up the projects?
We are using Serena Dimensions 9.1 for version control with the add-on in Jdeveloper.
    Thanks in advance!

I believe JDeveloper has a plugin for Dimensions.
I havent used it but to get it, go to tools (It may be help I don't have JDeveloper on this machine to confirm) check for updates.
If you select the thrid party check box - next, you will see an entry for dimentions.
Configure the connection and develop as you would any other project.
    cheers
    James

  • B2b unable to pick the file from xml gateway

    Hi All,
I am taking a scenario where B2B picks the files from xml gateway and drop the files in FTP folder. I modified the XML gateway inbound and outbound, i has given my user credentials(unmae, host ,pwd ,sid, port). In agreement in the place of internal delivery channel i has given XML gateway outbound.
Still its unable to pick the files from xml gateway.
    Clarify my understanding please
While b2b picks the files from xml gateway, It will pick from ECX_Inbound or ECX_Outbound?

  • How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B

    Hi Friends,
How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
External Trading Partner is sending the EDI 856 via AS2 URL to our Oracle B2B Server.
In the inbound 856 agreement, we have checked the option of Funtional Ack and also Functiona Ack handled by B2B is yes.
We have the outbound agreement which is sending that Functional ack 997 (auto generated by oracle b2b) and we have specified the Outbound AS2 channel of the Partner.
997 doc is being sent to external partner using AS2 channel, but the filename is generating as '40101'.
Please can you let me know how to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
    Appreciate your valuable answers!!
    Thanks,
    Amirineni

    Amirineni,
AFAIK, there is no option to set the file name when the 997 is generated automatically by B2B.
Alternatively, if this is a must requirement, you can generate the FA from backend and  send to B2B with MSG_TYPE =9. In this case, you can set the header with filename (How to set the actionname property in B2B 11g)

  • Call ABAP program from Unix script passing dynamic filename

    Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to call an ABAP program from a Unix script passing a dynamic filename to the ABAP program?
We are receiving a file from an external company and on receipt of the file want to call an ABAP program passing the filename.  The filename is made up of File ID, Date and Time which we need to read in the ABAP program.  We usually use Events to trigger a program which is fine when the filename if static however since this filename will be dynamic we cannot do this.  In addition we cannot just rename the file to a static name in the Unix script as we need to know the value of the date and time from the file ID in the ABAP program.  I can change the ABAP program to check our /in directory for a Filename that starts with the fixed File ID however I thought there must be a better way of doing this.  We want the external company to put this information in a file header record but they don't want to change the file contents.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sinead.

You could follow the following method
1.Let the external file reside in the SAP application layer in a defined path e.g. /usr/sap/tmp/interface/working/
2.Write an ABAP program which will include the following steps:-
       i) read all files in the file path using function module EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING

  • Creating EDI file of fixed length from B2B

    Hi Gurus,
I want to create an edi 810 file from B2B(Outbound) for a partner which has an unusual requirement of the file length. The file length should be 80 characters long.
The Output EDI should look something like this.

This is valid rule as the partner might has AS400 system for processing documents. In this case both inbound/outbound docs to/from that partner need to have this 80 char BLOCK rule applied.
What method is partner using for file exchange. In case VAN, you might need to ask partner to check their VAN and have this 80 char BLOCK rule applied at mailbox level. This way VAN provider will automatically handle this for both inbound and outbound.
    Thanks,
    Vijay.

  • Is is possible to pass EDI X12 GS 02 value to B2B via BPEL?

    Hello Oracle B2B Gurus,
We currently have a trading partner with 900 different group ids.
I have created a reference table from which I would like to pass the GS02 segment for B2B via a BPEL process. B2B would then consume the Group ID and forward that to the VAN.
Since the ISA sender id and reciever id is the same for all 900 group ids, I was wondering if B2B has the option of not setting a group id and consuming it via a paramater using either AQ or default?
    Thanks

Does this mean that I need to add the 855 with GS headers at the Version level? Will this effect all other 4010 transactions that I have? Yes, it will affect all the 4010 transactions however if you want to use separate group or interchange ecs for a particular partner, then override the group and interchange ecs at partner level (Remote Partner Name --> Documents --> select document definition --> Override Version Param)
Or do I just create a GS group ecs file with only the GS segments and place that at the version level? If you want to use common group ECS for all the partners then upload it at the version level otherwise override it at the partner level.
Can you provide a sample of the default GS file that is currently in B2B? I can provide but it's simple to create a group and interchange ecs -
Group ECS must have only GS and GE segments.
Interchange ECS must have only ISA and IEA segments.
You may create a transaction set ecs with envelope parameters and delete all the segments except required one to prepare a group/interchange ecs.

  • Passing a value for date parameter from Oracle Forms to BIP

    Hi
I have created a report with the following SQL query:
    select
    d_tables.d_seq,
    to_date(d_tables.d_created) creation_date,
    d_tables.d_created_by created_by,
    d_tables.d_pk,
    d_tables.table_name,
    d_tables.comments
    from
    d_tables, d_applications
    where
    d_tables.d_ppk = d_applications.d_pk
    and to_date(d_tables.d_created) >= nvl(:P_CRE_DATE_FROM, to_date(d_tables.d_created))
    and to_date(d_tables.d_created) <= nvl(:P_CRE_DATE_TO, to_date(d_tables.d_created))
The parameters P_CRE_DATE_FROM and P_CRE_DATE_TO have been set up as date in BI Publisher with format dd-MMM-yyyy
The report works fine when launched in BI Publisher.
I want to call this report from Oracle Forms and I'm trying to pass the values for both the parameters. However, the report does not generate output based on values passed.
Does it have to do with datatype? Does anyone know a solution for this?
    Kind regards,
    Aparna

Thanks for your suggestion. I am already referring to the whitepaper and have integrated Forms with BI Publisher. The parameter passing is working fine for a varchar2 type of parameter. However, for a date type, there seems to be some problem.

  • Looking for a way to pass parameter to external list from infopath

Hey, i have a Sharepoint 2010 list for which I want to create Infopath form. I have an external content type and external list based on it.
I want to prepopulate some fields in my Sharepoint list with data from external list. I tried to use external list as a secondary data source and query it for needed values. The issue I encounter is that my ECT has a finder with filter and I can't figure
out how to pass a value to this filter within infopath.
How can it be done with infopath? How can I pass the filter value to the external list using Infopath?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to pass parameter to external list from infopath.
You need to query the external list from InfoPath using coding and CAML Query.
Here is a similar thread for your reference:

  • Which way to enforce policy for endpoint from gateway router instead of switch

    Dear team,
I am proposing ISE to customer. They want to deploy ISE as central authentication and policy point for users in branches. I would like to ask if this scenario is possible or not:
    - When user client is plugged into access switch, the switch will use 802.1x or MAB in switch port
    - After authentication, as normal method, we will push a dACL or VLAN change from ISE to switch in authorization statements. But customer dont want to apply port ACL on switch. They want to enforce policy from the gateway Router.
So is there any way to do that? I'm thinking about SGT but I dont have any experience on it. Please help to solve this problem. Thank you very much.
    Kind regards,
    Hiep Nguyen.

    Hiep,
You can use authentication proxy to push ACLs for users on the router. However the port based ACL is your best approach because you can determine authorization at the port level and if the user moves so does the policy.
