Passing event parameters to copy of DECISION task TS20000118

Hi.
I have made a copy of the decision task TS20000118 which is the standard approve/reject user decision step.
In the decision step, i have a link to ME13 transaction which is done by passing object_id and giving the "display" method as default method for the ZBUS3003 object which takes Info record number as key.
My problem is users are restrcited by PORG auth object in ME13 also and along with Info record number, i have to pass porg, plant, vendor , material to ME13 link.
I have defined event parameters to capture this 4 fields but i dont know where to pass this parameters as TS20000118  where the link appears in using the DECISION object and not the DISPLAY method,.
I dont want to make this 4 fields as object key because it will mean altering many other things. Also, int he DISPLAY method based on info record number i cannot retrieve 4 fields bcos there mioght be multiple records for same info record number.
Appreciate if you can let me know how i can pass event parameters to ME12 link in DECISION step of Task TS20000118 .
Regards
PN.

Hello user12628! I have the same problem. Did you solve it? I have dynamically generated size of my Event Parameter String[] mass. And some times I have Error that URL string very long :). That is why I want to use POST method instead GET. if you has found solution,please let me know.

  • Flash Islands : pass event parameters to Web Dynpro

    Hi,
    I am trying to pass a parameter to Web Dynpro using "FlashIsland.fireEvent()". The event is fired, but I cannot get the parameter.
    I WD I created a GACEvent :
    name = doSomething
    onAction = doSomethingAction
    In this Event I created a GACEventParameter
    name = returnText
    type = string
    In Flex I implemented following function :
    private function click():void
       var returnText:String;
       returnText = "Dit is een test";
       FlashIsland.fireEvent(this,'doSomething',returnText);
    This is the code of the action in WD :
    public void onActionDoSomethingAction(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent)
        //@@begin onActionDoSomethingAction(ServerEvent)
           wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportSuccess(wdEvent.getString("returnText"));
        //@@end
    The event is fired, but I get the message "invalid message: null". What am I doing wrong?
    Regards,
    Jeroen

    Hi,
    Wrong syntax when you fire the event. The correct syntax is :
    flex code :
    var myParam:String = new String();
    var myValue:String = "Test";
    FlashIsland.fireEvent(this,"Event1",);

  • Event Parameters in WDA from Flash

    Hi experts
    I've alredy created a WDA with Flash inside in wich i send data from WDA and Flash make graphics.
    Now i need to interact from Flash to WDA sending an event with values.
    I found how to send event from Flash (fireEvent) and how to detect that event in WDA (adding and event) and get the values in WDA ; but that values are transfered just like the other context nodes, just with 'readOnly' property empty and in Flash these values are just public variables  (not  parameters in fireEvent).
    I see we can add parameters in WDA Event ,  does somebody knows where can i search about how to manage parameters in WDA Event received from Flash  (and how to send these parameters from Flash in the 'fireEvent') ?
    Any help will be usefull.
    Best Regards
    Frank

    >does somebody knows where can i search about how to manage parameters in WDA Event received from Flash (and how to send these parameters from Flash in the 'fireEvent') ?
    You can add the parameters into the fireEvent method.  In this sample I have the Event name newDirections. I am adding the event parameter named dirString and the value is the variable dirS.  You pass event parameters in this name/value pair format.
    FlashIsland.fireEvent(this,"newDirections",{dirString:dirS});
    From the ABAP side I can retrieve the event parameter from within the Event Handler method of the controller as follows:
    data dir_results type string.
      dir_results =  wdevent->get_string( 'dirString' ).
      check dir_results is not initial.

  • How to pass background event parameters to ABAP program in SM36

    Hi team,
         I want to pass background event parameters to ABAP program on job scheduling in SM36. For example, Background jobs will trigger, once background event triggered from Non-SAP system using SAPEVT command with parameters.
         I want to pass the event parameter values to the ABAP program . Can you please help me on this.
    Regards,
    Anand Krishnan

    Hi,
    Which ABAP program - the one that will be executed as a job step? If yes, I don't believe you can "pass" something to it because it will be started by "job starter" of SAP background processing run-time system. The ABAP program executed in background can, however, get the job run-time information using FM GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFO, which also returns EVENTID and EVENTPARM. Is that the event parameters you were looking for?
    cheers

  • Event SM62 - Is it possible to pass some parameters ?

    Hello,
    with SM62 transaction is possible to create an event.
    there's the possibility to manage the parameters ?
    I mean, I call the event X for material number Y.
    The program or job (for exemple) that is triggered can read that the parameters is article N° y ? How do it ?
    Thank you,
    Roberto

    Hi,
    I don't think you can pass any parameters while triggering an event.
    However, If you are raising the event through ABAP, you can update the material number to a Ztable and make use of it in the background job. May be you can use a flag in the Ztable to set once the background job process a particular material.

  • Object visualization to open attachment link in UWL decision task workitems

    We are using Object Visualization (in t-code SWFVISU) to open an I-view when you click the attachment link in decision task workitems.  I sort of have this working.  My issue is that I need to pass parameters to the I-view.  I'm not sure how to do that.  I've seen some documentation on dynamic parms in SWFVISU (DYNPARM) but I don't see that option (maybe we are on an older version).  Maybe we can via XML files?  I've done Task visualization and edited xml files but I'm not sure if we can do similar code for object visualization.  Does anyone know how to do this?   Have any samples/documentation?
    Thanks,

  • Remove optinos in user decision task dinamically

    Hi all,
    I have an user decision task wich have several options. I want to remove (or deactivate) some of these options dinamically or under some conditions...
    Do you know how can i do it?
    May be it's possible to do with a program exit but i don't find any method in the class for do that.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Finally, I had to do it. I put the steps in case anyone is interested:
    - Create a Decision Task in workflow builder. Replace the Task used in Control tab by a custom one. You need to create a copy of the standard task 00008267. In my case I've created the task 99000001.
    - The FM to get the options and texts is SWU_GET_DECISION_TEXT_TITLE. We need to create an enhancement point at the end of this FM. I've created a method in a custom class to embed all my code:
    TRY.
      CALL METHOD zcl_im_wf_dec_task=>zz_mod_decision_task
        EXPORTING
          wiid             = wiid
        changing
          ct_decision_text = decision_text[].
    CATCH cx_root.
    ENDTRY.
    - This method has the following parameters:
    WIID                     TYPE SWW_WIID
    CT_DECISION_TEXT     TYPE ANY TABLE
    With the following code you can change the description of the options you want or delete some options dinamically:
    DATA: l_wi_handle  TYPE REF TO if_swf_run_wim_internal,
          lo_wi_dialog TYPE REF TO cl_swf_run_wim_dialog,
          lo_container TYPE REF TO if_swf_cnt_container,
          ls_wi_head   TYPE sww_wihead,
          lv_key       TYPE sww_wi2obj-instid,
          lv_bstyp     TYPE ebstyp.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <ls> TYPE ANY.
    * Obtain the header:
    TRY.
        CALL METHOD cl_swf_run_wim_factory=>find_by_wiid
          EXPORTING
            im_wiid     = wiid
          RECEIVING
            re_instance = l_wi_handle.
        lo_wi_dialog ?= l_wi_handle.
        ls_wi_head = lo_wi_dialog->if_swf_run_wim_internal~m_sww_wihead.
      CATCH cx_swf_run_wim .
      CATCH cx_root.
    ENDTRY.
    * Read the container (if you want...):
    TRY.
        CALL METHOD lo_wi_dialog->if_swf_run_wim_wfm~get_wi_container
          RECEIVING
            re_container = lo_container.
      CATCH cx_swf_run_wim .
    ENDTRY.
    * Read the Key:
    SELECT SINGLE instid INTO lv_key
    FROM sww_wi2obj
    WHERE top_wi_id EQ ls_wi_head-top_wi_id.
    * In this example is a workflow for PO;
    SELECT SINGLE bstyp INTO lv_bstyp
    FROM ekko WHERE ebeln EQ lv_key.
    * Depending on the Task;
    CASE ls_wi_head-wi_rh_task.
    *  Authorize
      WHEN 'TS99000001'.
        LOOP AT ct_decision_text ASSIGNING <ls>.
    *       The first 4 characters are the number of the option.
    *       The following characters are the description.
    *       Delete an option;
          IF <ls>(4) EQ '0001' AND lv_bstyp EQ 'F'.
            DELETE ct_decision_text INDEX sy-tabix.
            CONTINUE.
          ENDIF.
    *       Change the description:
          IF <ls>(4) EQ '0002'.
            IF lv_bstyp EQ 'K'.
              <ls>+4 = 'Authorize'.
            ELSE.
              <ls>+4 = 'Continue with the process'.
            ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
        ENDLOOP.
    ENDCASE.

  • Adding notes to decision task in UWL

    Hi there WUGers,
    We're looking into deploying UWL and I'm running into some "challenges."
    First, we're on  Portal release: SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) SPS 15, the backend is ECC 6.0 (Release: 700     0015     SAPKB70015)
    What I want to do is to have the "generic decision step" allow me to enter a comment/notes when I select the "reject" option on a given work item, as I've read in numerous forums, WUG emails, etc...
    The "standard" config in UWL for this task is:
        <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS00008267.EX3" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchSAPAction" executionMode="default">
          <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="EX3" externalType="TS00008267" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
          <Actions>
            <Action name="launchSAPAction" groupAction="" handler="SAPIACLauncher" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="yes" launchNewWindowFeatures="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no">
              <Properties>
                <Property name="newWindowFeatures" value="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no"/>
                <Property name="openInNewWindow" value="yes"/>
                <Property name="display_order_priority" value="5"/>
                <Property name="IAC" value="BWWF_WI_DECI"/>
              </Properties>
              <Descriptions default=""/>
            </Action>
          </Actions>
        </ItemType>
    When I created a custom XML for it  (I did it verbatim according to the sample in Darren Hague's book and/or as shown in SAPHelp), and when doing so, I don't event get the decision task options to appear.  All I get is "Forward" and "Cancel Assignment" buttons.

    Yours truly,

    I had the same problem and it was all the XML.  You need to make sure you register after you create your workflow and custom tasks.  I then copied the generated XML ( uwl.webflow.clientname.xml ) to another file and deleted everything but my custom tasks.  You have to do some modifications to show the decision buttons and have the note be mandatory for rejection or whatever your requirement is.
    I posted this earlier at Re: Dobuts in modifying an UWL XML file.  The XML doesn't show for some reason but if you hit reply on my message at the bottom and quote it, you will see it.  This was a simple version with just one task.
    [You can also download the full version with all tasks here|http://www.2shared.com/file/5688314/467ddbb2/final.html]
    Make sure and set the priority to High after uploading.

  • How do I create an Event Handler for an Execute SQL Task in SSIS if its result set is empty

    So the precedence on my entire package executing is based on my first SELECT of my Table and an updatable column. If that SELECT results in an empty result set, how do I create an Event Handler to handle an empty result set?
    A Newbie to SSIS.
    I appreciate your review and am hopeful for a reply.
    PSULionRP

    Depends upon what you want to do in the eventhandler. this is what you can do
    Store the result set from the Select to a user variable.
    Pass this user variable to a Script task.
    In the Script task do whatever you want to do including failing the package this can be done by failing the script task, which in turns fails the package. something like
    Dts.TaskResult = Dts.Results.Failure

  • How do I Pass a parameter to a SQL Component Task where the source SQL statement is also a variable

    Hi,
    I have been tasked with making a complex package more generic.
    To achieve this I need to pass a parameter to a SQL Component Task where the source SQL statement is also a variable.
    So to help articulate my question further I have create a package and database as follows; -
    USE [KWPlay]
    GO
    /****** Object: Table [dbo].[tblTest] Script Date: 05/14/2014 17:08:02 ******/
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    GO
    SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
    GO
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[tblTest](
    [ID] [bigint] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
    [Description] [nvarchar](50) NULL,
    CONSTRAINT [PK_tblTest] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
    [ID] ASC
    )WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
    ) ON [PRIMARY]
    GO
    I populated this table with a single record.
    I unit tested the SQL within SSMS as follows;
    SELECT * FROM dbo.tblTest
    Result; -
    ID
    Description
    1
    Happy
    DECLARE @myParam NVARCHAR(100)
    SET @myParam = 'Sad'
    UPDATE dbo.tblTest SET [Description] = @myParam FROM dbo.tblTest WHERE ID = 1
    SELECT * FROM dbo.tblTest
    Result; -
    ID
    Description
    1
    Sad
    Within the package I created two variables as follows; -
    Name: strSQL
    Scope: Package
    Data Type: String
    Value: UPDATE dbo.tblTest SET [Description] = @myParam FROM dbo.tblTest WHERE ID = 1
    Name: strStatus
    Scope: Package
    Data Type: String
    Value: Happy
    I then created a single ‘Execute SQL Task’ component within the control flow as follows; -
    However when I run the above package I get the following error; -
    SSIS package "Package.dtsx" starting.
    Error: 0xC002F210 at Execute SQL Task, Execute SQL Task: Executing the query "UPDATE dbo.tblTest SET [Description] = @myParam FR..." failed with the following error:

    errors.
    SSIS package "Package.dtsx" finished: Failure.
    I also tried; -
    Name: strSQL
    Scope: Package
    Data Type: String
    Value: UPDATE dbo.tblTest SET [Description] = ? FROM dbo.tblTest WHERE ID = 1
    However I received the error; -
    SSIS package "Package.dtsx" starting.

    Kind Regards,

    Kieran Patrick Wood http://www.innovativebusinessintelligence.com http://uk.linkedin.com/in/kieranpatrickwood http://kieranwood.wordpress.com/

    Tried; -
    Name: strSQL
    Scope: Package
    Data Type: String
    Value: UPDATE dbo.tblTest SET [Description] = ? FROM dbo.tblTest WHERE ID = 1
    and; -
    Result; -
    SSIS package "Package.dtsx" starting.
    SSIS package "Package.dtsx" finished: Success.
    Therefore the answer was to put the parameter number rather than the parameter name under the parameter mapping tab-> parameter name column.

  • Need Help: Workflow Decision Task not visible in NWBC for customer Task

    Hello All,
    I am  new to NWBC configuration , need ur expert knowledge  for the below issue. I have checked the treat . Approve/Reject button for SRM Approval for RFx response ,but not able to get the exact steps for the configurations in NWBC.
    Requirement.
         We are working on SLM/SRM module, where we have requirement to create a custom workflow with custom Task for which we have executed below actions.
    Created the Custom Workflow.
    Created the custom Task with custom  ZCLASS and ZEVET.
    Created   Event linkages in SWE2.
    After doing this we are getting the workitem in the NWBC, currently we don’t have the Portal system in place, so we are using the NWBC for all our testing.
    What is the issue?
         When we select the workitem in the NWBC (UML) inbox  , the Decision Task ie “Approve” or “Reject” button are not visible , where as for SAP standard  Task  buttons are visible.
    What help we need?
      When we cross check the SCN/IBM portal, found that we need to do the XML file configurations. Can you any one kindly let us know the steps we need to follow to achieve our functionality.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Thanks and Regards
    Channa

    You need to share the details of what Inbox you are using, configuration steps depend on it. If you aren't using portal, you aren't using UWL and there is no UML inbox. You need to get your facts straight. Most likely you are using the Business Workflow Inbox (SWF_WORKPLACE) or the Lean Inbox (IBO_WDA_INBOX). Both are based on Web Dynpro ABAP and POWL but the configuration is different. Regardless, you posted this in the wrong space. Correct space is either SAP NetWeaver Business Client or Web Dynpro ABAP.

  • How to Enter Event Parameters in FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT_EXTENDED

    Hi,
    I am trying to trigger theEvent 'START_RM_WEBREQ' for an ABAP Class 'CL_HREIC_RM_WORKFLOW' using the above mentioned FM.
    Usually this can be done using SWUE, however I am asked to do it create a custom program that would do the functionality for SWUE.
    Problem is I cannot figure out how do I enter the Parameters of the Event via this FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT_EXTENDED.
    The event parameters for the event 'START_RM_WEBREQ' is Object Type and Key. Usually when doing it via SWUE we are prompted with a dynamic screen which asks us to populate the values.
    Please help.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your response. But I am facing the same problem there. I am not able to populate the value of the Parameter for the event START_RM_WEBREQ.

  • Passing in parameters to Data Instance

    Hi
    I read in OSM 7.2 Release Notes on vf:instance :
    You can now add explicit parameter values from within an XQuery or XPath that
    augment or override the parameters defined in the OSM data dictionary using
    vf:instance()
    My question is, how do I make use of the parameters passed in in my Data Instance?
    The example given in Developer's Guide says:
    log:info($log,local-name(
    vf:instance($order/oms:GetOrder.Response/oms:_root/oms:data[1],'DataInstance',<oms:url>file://us/catalog.xml</oms:url>)/*[1]
    How do I make use of parameter oms:url in the Data Instance?
    I tried using ${oms:url} but it gives me compile error.
    I created a new namespace for the data instance to obtain the passed in parameters. Is this the correct way?
    the xquery to invoke the data instance:
    let $dataInstanceParams := <m1:params xmlns:m1="http://xxx.com/bcc/osm/com/orderopco/xml">
    <m1:OMGroupRefID>{fn:normalize-space(im:MainOrderLineItem[0]/im:OMGroupRefID/text())}</m1:OMGroupRefID>
    <m1:ActionCode>{fn:normalize-space(im:MainOrderLineItem[0]/im:ActionCode/text())}</m1:ActionCode>
    </m1:params>
    let $dboutput2 := vf:instance('CheckProductGroupExists',$dataInstanceParams/*)
    adapter is JDBC adapter, built-in.
    My Data Instance Behavior's oms:sql is:
    <query xmlns:im="http://xxx.com/bcc/osm/com/orderopco">
    <sql>
    select opg_ref_id from C_OM_OPG_MAP
    where om_product_group='{$OMGroupRefID}'
    and action_code='{$ActionCode}'
    </sql>
    </query>
    Thanks.

    Edited by: will.s on Dec 10, 2012 6:01 PM added xquery to invoke the data instance

    Hi Will;
    The DatabaseAdapter expects input parameters to be named "in:1", "in:2", "in:3" and so-on. The numbers 1, 2, 3, etc. correspond to the position of the ? entry in your SQL parameter. in:1 would be used as the value for the first ? in your sql, in:2 would be used as the value for the second ? and so-on.
    So based on this, your xquery would need to be something like this:
    let $dataInstanceParams := <m1:params xmlns:m1="http://xxx.com/bcc/osm/com/orderopco/xml">
    <in:1>{fn:normalize-space(im:MainOrderLineItem[0]/im:OMGroupRefID/text())}</in:1>
    <in:2>{fn:normalize-space(im:MainOrderLineItem[0]/im:ActionCode/text())}</in:2>
    </m1:params>
    let $dboutput2 := vf:instance('CheckProductGroupExists',$dataInstanceParams/*)
    We don't care what the namespace is that you use, but the namespace prefix must be "in:".
    For your reference, I'm copying below the full text of the Javadocs for the DatabaseAdapter. You can find the docs for this and other adapters in the OSM SDK Javadocs.
    This class implements a View Framework external instance adapter that executes a SQL statement and builds an XML document based on the result set.
    There are two mandatory parameters for this class, oms:sql and oms:dataSource.
    oms:dataSource: Refers to the jndi name of a JDBC datasource defined in WebLogic. For example 'mslv/oms/oms1/internal/jdbc/DataSource'
    oms:sql: Contains the sql that will be sent to the database. For example 'select * from scott.emp where empno=?'
    Additional optional input parameters may be supplied that will be bound to parameters defined in the oms:sql value. For example, in the above sql statement a parameter is used to define the value for 'empno' in the where clause. A value for this parameter may be specified by defining a paremter called "in:1". If there were additional input parameters defined in the sql statement, these could be passed as "in:2", "in:3" and so on.
    In all cases these input parameters will be assumed to be string values and bound to the sql statement as string values.
    The following is an example of using the DatabaseAdapter to invoke a query:
    <instance name="well_paid_salesman" xsi:type="externalInstanceType">
    <adapter>com.mslv.oms.view.rule.adapter.DatabaseAdapter</adapter> <parameter
    name="oms:dataSource">'mslv/oms/oms1/internal/jdbc/DataSource'</parameter> <parameter
    name="oms:sql">"select * from scott.emp where job='SALESMAN' and sal > ?"</parameter> <parameter
    name="in:1">1250</parameter> </instance>
    The above declaration returns the following XML instance:
    <results> <rowSet> <row> <empno>7499</empno> <ename>ALLEN</ename> <job>SALESMAN</job> <mgr>7698</mgr>
    <hiredate>1981-02-20 00:00:00.0</hiredate> <sal>1600</sal> <comm>300</comm> <deptno>30</deptno> </row> <row>
    <empno>7844</empno> <ename>TURNER</ename> <job>SALESMAN</job> <mgr>7698</mgr> <hiredate>1981-09-08
    00:00:00.0</hiredate> <sal>1500</sal> <comm>0</comm> <deptno>30</deptno> </row> </rowSet> </results>
    The DatabaseAdapter can also be used to execute SQL stored procedures.
    The DatabaseAdapter provides a stored procedure SQL escape syntax that allows stored procedures to be called in a standard way for all RDBMSs. This escape syntax is defined as part of the Java JDBC API.
    This escape syntax has one form that includes a result parameter and one that does not. If used, the result parameter must be registered as an OUT parameter. The other parameters can be used for input, output or both. Parameters are referred to sequentially, by number, with the first parameter being 1.
    {?= call [,, ...]}
    {call [,, ...]}
    Values for input parameters to the stored procedure are specified using the in:1, in:2 (etc.) parameters in the same way as they are for regular SQL queries.
    Output parameters are specified using out:1, out:2 (etc.). Keep in mind that the parameter number (1, 2, 3, etc.) are numbered sequentially from 1 ordered from left to right in the specified SQL statement including both input and output parameters.
    The value of the parameter is the parameter SQL type (see http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/sql/Types.html for a list of types).
    The following example illustrates how to call a database stored procedure that has one output parameter (the result of the stored procedure call), and one input parameter.
    <instance name="lock_count" xsi:type="externalInstanceType">
    <adapter>com.mslv.oms.view.rule.adapter.DatabaseAdapter</adapter> <parameter
    name="oms:dataSource">'mslv/oms/oms1/internal/jdbc/DataSource'</parameter> <parameter
    name="oms:sql">"{? = call om_cartridge_pkg.get_any_cartridge_id('my_cartridge',?)}"</parameter> <parameter
    name="out:1">'INTEGER'</parameter> <parameter name="in:2">'1.1'</parameter> </instance>
    The above declaration returns the following XML instance:
    <results> <outputParameter number="1">1234</outputParameter> </results>

  • Generic decision Task and ABAP OO

    I have implemented a workflow using ABAP OO, which has a couple of user decision steps.
    Now I have made a copy of the generic decision task (8247) into my own custom task. I then copied over the code from the process method of the DECISION BO into my own custom BO. I then referenced the custom BO in my custom task. I tied this custom task to a user decision step in my workflow.
    code
    I had to this so that I could extend the functionality of the code to do something specific to my logic. This works fine.
    However when I write the same code in a method of my ABAP class and tie it to the same custom task instead of the BO, the workflow complains while activating "TASK XXXXX cannot be used as a decision task".
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

    Hi Amlan,
    What I could figure out from your query is that, you want to use ABAP OO, functionality of classes in implementing a task. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    I would suggest you that Let your Workflow work with the BO, because there are certain tasks for which only BO works, implementation of classes might give some problem.
