Question w/ mapping header text fields from the ORDERS05 idoc - Need help!!

My mapping seems to be combining two header texts categories(IDs) and putting in into the XML target field. That's the first issue.
The 2nd issue is trying to figure out how to only use only a part of the tdline.
The idoc value is: <TDLINE>232828-0 06/25/2009 EDI Vendor Confirmed</TDLINE> .
I only want to use the first part: 232828-0 and ignore the rest(
06/25/2009 EDI Vendor Confirmed).
Would someone have 30 mins to help a newbie out.
I can send screen shots of the idoc coming into PI and the XML file going out as well as my mapping for the field.

I have sent a test email pl send me screenshots.
Issue 2: Did you try to use standard function for texts i.e "substring". Open the mapping in editing mode and all the way down you can see "Function" from where you can choose std functions.

I am trying to pass the value of a field from the seeded page /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/OpptyDetPG. The value I want is in the VO oracle.apps.asn.opportunity.server.OpportunityDetailsVO and the field PartyName.
I have created a button on the page whose destination URL is
OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_CS_SR_QUERY&CustName={#PartyName}
It opens the correct page, but in the URL it shows this

You can see that &CustName is not getting the proper value. Do I need to do something different?

You cannot call the form with OA.jsp . This is applicable only for OAF based pages registered as a function.
For calling a Form, use the below example:
You have to change the application responsibility key and form function name .
"form:PN:PN:STANDARD:XXPNTLEASE:QUERY_LEASE_ID={@QueryLeaseNumber}"

Retrive a field from an Idoc

Hi eveybody
I´ve got the next scenario:
JDBC---->PI-(Idoc)----->SAP
SAP -(Aleaud)--->PI--
>JDBC.
How could I retrive a field from reference Idoc when the Aleaud Idoc is processed??
Im going to try to explain it better.
In the Outbound Idoc travel a field called FIELD_A.
Before the Aleaud Idoc is sent to PI I need to retrive this FIELD_A that travelled in the reference Idoc and send this FIELD_A in the Aleaud Idoc because I need it in the query used in the JDBC adapter.
How can I do this????

Passing field values from View Controller to Custom Controller

Hi Experts,
I am working on a customer requirment in which customer want to see the values of field from one view in another view. The Context node & Context node attribute are the same in both the views.
I am aware that we need to pass the field values from view controller to custom controller in order to see the field in the subsequent view. I would like to kow how i can achieve that technically?

I want the fields ID_TYPE & ID_TYPE_DESCRIPTION from IUICMD/SearchAccount to be available in IUICMD/DetailAccount. I have created a context node u201CSEARCHu201D in view IUICMD/DetailAccount. I have created the context node with out choosing u201CCreate with Instanceu201D. This Context node (SEARCH) is already available in IUICMD/SearchAccount as part of the standard.

Passing field value from appoinment into task

Hi,
I need to pass the field values from appointment into the task. I was able to pass values from one record type to another but in this case as both appointment and task belong to the same record type namely activity and they are having the same foreign key namely ActivityId.
So any one please tell me , is it possible to pass values from appointment in to the task or not ?
If so how?

Write a workflow and select the field you want to copy the value into in the Field Name and the value you want to copy in value field, you don't need to use joinfieldValue at all.

Passing/retrieving hidden fields from Its template(IAC) to BSP page

Hi i m passing hidden fields from its template to custom BSP page...but not able to retrieve the hidden field in bsp page...is there any way we can retrieve the data....is there any equivalent of request.getattribute() method which we use in jsp to fetch the hidden fields....

from ITS template how are you calling/passing parameter to BSP
thru a form submit? or are you just openning the BSP thru a url link, in either case
you could pass the data as a form field (post) or in the url of the BSP (GET)
for example if the form field name in ITS template is myformfiled and you are submitting that to the BSP page then in the corresponding bsp page declare a page attribute withe same name (myformfiled) and mark the auto check box.
now the value passed from ITS template will be available within BSP in the ABAP variable myformfiled which you can use the way you want.

I am new with Idocs and i have to change 2 fields from a segment in my idoc.Is this possible.If yes,how can they be modified?
Also i tried to place a break-point in my FM that generates the idoc but the debugger does not stop in my FM,eventhough the idoc is generated with succes.Help please.

Creating Custom IDoc type and Message type
All the objects created should be present on both source as well as target system(s).
1. Create segments - Transaction WE31
Create a segment ZRZSEG1
Add all fields of table ZCUSTOMERS to it
Save the segment
Release it using the menu path Edit -> Set Release
Similarly create two more segments given below
Seg. ZRZSEG2 - to hold all fields of table ZSOHEADERS
Seg. ZRZSEG3 - to hold all fields of table ZSOITEMS
2. Create Basic IDoc type - Transaction WE30
Create a Basic type ZRZORDER
Add the created segments in the hierarchy shown
Maintain attributes for each of the segments
Save the object and go back
Release the object using the menu path Edit -> Set Release
3. Create/Assign Message type - Transactions WE81/WE82
Go to WE81
Create a new Message type ZRZSO_MT
Save the object
Go to WE82 and create new entry
Assign the message type ZRZSO_MT to the basic type ZRZORDER
Also specify the Release Version
Save the object
Thus we have defined the IDoc structure which will hold the data to be transferred.

For Debugging IDOC.
Execute transaction WE19 , in Existing Idoc give the Idoc number and Execute it will take you to another screen. In this press the Inbound Function Module tab , Give the Function Module and check the check box Call in Debugging Mode , and process In ForeGround.

Extraction of unloading point field from R/3 to SUS via IDOC ORDERS05

I am extracting unloading point field from R/3 to SUS via ORDERS05.
R/3 filed is EKKN - ABLAD
IDOC Field is E1EDKA1 - ABLAD
But E1EDKA1 is partner function dependent, as it has different values for different partner functions like E1EDKA1 AG, E1EDKA1 LF, E1EDKA1 WE.
While EKKN - ABLAD is not partner dependent.
Please guide as to how to map these two fields.

field ABLAD is for the unloading point so it should be mapped on E1EDKA1 with partner function WE.

I am new to this BSP programming. I have some requirements to modify standard ICWC in CRM 5.0
Hope can get some advices and helps here.
I have added a new field called <status> to context note SEARCHCUSTOMER in BupaSearchB2B view and also the same field name to context note CUSTOMER in BupaCreate view.
I have added the field into both the HTM views and able to execute thru WebClient. However, I have one problem in passing the <status> value from BupaSearchB2B view to the BupaCreate view when I click on the 'create' button.
I do search and saw this thread How can I pass field value beetwen view in IC Web Client? , but i cant figure out how it works.
Do I need to create the field <status> to context note CUSTOMER in BupaSearchB2B? Currently the context note does not have any attributes.
Really appreciate for any help.

Creation of SO from PO through Idocs in Same client

Hi frnds,
     Can we create SO from PO through IDOC's in the same client with different company codes.
Ex: PO created in 100 client in company code AB00. i have to create SO in 100 client in company code AB01.
Any suggestion on this is highly appreciated. Please provide the steps and idocs or let me know the other approach.

for posting the IDOC to same system
use this logic
The steps to send and receive an IDoc in the same system are as follows:
u2022     Create a Dummy Logical System.
     Goto T-Code SALE-> sending and Receiving Systems -> Logical Systems -> New entries. Enter SYSID_CLNT, but this one is Dummy so use the first two characters of the SYSID and prefix 'D' then underscore and then the Client number.
E.g., If ERP_100 is the logical system of the R/3, then create ERD_100 as the dummy system.
u2022     Create Port for the Original System, (ERP_100)
     Goto WE21 and select Transactional Port and press the Create button. Name the Port as "SAP" concatenated with the SYSID in our example it would be SAPERP Select the appropriate version and enter the RFC destination of the system that you are working on in this case it will be 'ERP'.
u2022     Create Partner Profile in partner type LS:
     Receiver Side (Outbound to): In Partner type LS name ERD_100create the Outbound Parameters, give the Message type, Receiver Port same as the port we created in step 2. Enter the Basic type.
     Sender Side (Inbound from): In partner type LS name ERP_100 create the Inbound Parameters, give the appropriate message type and the process code.
u2022     Now create the stand alone program to send the IDoc:
     The program will at some point calls the MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE function module. When you pass the EDIDC structure it will be populated as follows:
i_edidc-mestyp = message type.
i_edidc-idoctp = basic type.
i_edidc-rcvprt = 'LS'.
CONCATENATE 'SAP' sy-sysid INTO l_port.
i_edidc-RCVPOR = l_port.
i_edidc-rcvprn = 'ERD_000'.
CONCATENATE sy-sysid '_' sy-mandt INTO l_sndprn.
i_edidc-SNDPRN = l_sndprn.
i_edidc-sndprt = 'LS'.
i_edidc-sndpor = l_port.
u2022     Observe that the Sender port and the receiver port is the same, this does the trick. The outbound Idoc is sent on the port SAPERP with the Sender as ERP_100 and receiver as ERD_100 and then the Inbound IDoc is also sent to the same port SAPERP with the Sender as ERP_100 and receiver as ERD_10.
this is the method for creating logical system and setting
and use the respective function module and mesg type for posting it.

Upload fields from SAP R/3 to BW

Dear All,
I'm looking for a method to upload fields from SAP R/3 to BI 7.0.
My testing case as following:
- Upload table DFKKKO \ field OBEL from R/3 to BW
- I created a Generic Datasource and select this field.
- When coming back to BI, I replicate the metadata from SAP source system and can display my Generic Datasource.
- I create the Info Package for this Generic Datasource but when I run the scheduling, I didn't find any data in PSA table.
So this is my questions:
- Is this method (generic datasource) suitable for uploading from SAP R/3 to BI or there is anything else better?
- Why the data cannot uploaded to PSA table? (I got this error message from Monitor "EDI: Partner profile inbound not available" and "Some IDocs have error status" but don't know how to correct)
If there is any possible response, I shall give reward point.

I think you have missed the mapping part in BW....did you create the transformation in BW side before loading the date?You have to map the R/3 field to BW infoobject.

Problem in passing data from one .jsp page to another .jsp page

i have a problem here
Actually i have 2 jsp pages. What im trying to do here is actually i want to pass data from the first jsp page to the second for updating
The first jsp page contains data that user wants to update in the form of table.

<TD><%= rs.getString("Gender") %></td>
So this page displays the data that users wants to update plus one image button (edit button). So when user clicks this button, all the data in this page will be brought to the second .jsp page called updatePersonal for updating.
The problem here is that it is not displaying the existing data in the second .jsp page.
The second page basically contains forms
<INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="FirstName" maxlength="30" value = "<%=FirstName%>">
Can someone please help me. I really dont know what to do..How do i get the data displayed in the text field that is passed from the first .jsp page..thankx in advance
