Passing Parameters to Multiple UUTs

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to pass Parameters or Locals to the next UUT. I observe that every time I enter a new UUT Serial number that all of my parameters from the previous UUT are cleared. I would like to start where I left off, so to speak. Can I turn off this feature, or is there away of doing this?
Thanks.

Hi,
In the PreUUT sequence, you could store the UUT data to StationGlobals on the first iteration and then further iteration u can pull this back in again and skip the actual enter serial number steps.
Then in the ProcessCleanup sequence you can then tidy up by deleting the StationGlobals UUT entry.
Hope this helps

  • Passing parameters accross multiple forms

    I want to call formB from formA and pass parameters while doing it.
    BLOCK2 in formA contains a textitem named EMPID and I wand to pass the value in it to textitem named EMPID in BLOCK4 of formB.
    I created a parameter list and added items and values to it.
    I use call_form with the required entries to call formB.
    ---- Code used by me for creating parameter in formA and calling formB starts here ------
    DECLARE
         PLID PARAMLIST;
    BEGIN
         PLID := GET_PARAMETER_LIST('PL');
         IF NOT ID_NULL (PLID) THEN
              DELETE_PARAMETER ('PL','P_EMPID');
         ELSE
              PLID := CREATE_PARAMETER_LIST('PL');
         END IF;
         ADD_PARAMETER('PL', 'P_EMPID', TEXT_PARAMETER, :BLOCK2.EMPID);
         CALL_FORM('C:\Project\formB', HIDE, NO_REPLACE, NO_QUERY_ONLY, 'PL');
    END;
    ----------------------- Code ends here ---------------------------------
    I added a parameter in object navigator/parameters and named it P_EMPID of type Char and length 11 (b'coz, :BLOCK2.EMPID is Varchar2(11))
    Also, I have written the following code in formB:
    :BLOCK4.EMPID := :PARAMETER.P_EMPID;
    I have written this code in the following three places of formB:
    1) WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE --> form-level trigger
    2) PRE-FORM --> form-level trigger
    3) PRE-QUERY --> block-level(BLOCK4) trigger
    Additionally, I also tried using GET_PARAMETER_ATTR to get the parameter value in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE of formB. It is as follows:
    -------- Code for retreiving parameter in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE of formB starts here ---------
    :BLOCK4.EMPID := :PARAMETER.P_EMPID;
    DECLARE
         P_EMPID VARCHAR2(11);
         PLID PARAMLIST;
         PARAM_TYPE NUMBER;
         CURRENT_VALUE VARCHAR2(11);
    BEGIN
         PLID := GET_PARAMETER_LIST('PL');
         IF NOT ID_NULL (PLID) THEN
              GET_PARAMETER_ATTR('PLID','P_EMPID',PARAM_TYPE,CURRENT_VALUE);
              :BLOCK4.EMPID := CURRENT_VALUE;
         END IF;
    END;
    ----------------------- Code ends here ---------------------------------
    In spite of all the above, when formB tries to start, I get FRM-47023 No such parameter named P_EMPID exists in form formB
    What do I need to do?
    Thanks,
    Preethi

    I suppose you shouldn't try to extract parameter value from parameter list in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE as Forms do it for you. Just use :parameter.P_EMPID. Of course, you may also use global variable or some package variable (if sharing library datf), or record group, created with GLOBAL_SCOPE.

  • Passing parameters to multiple sub reports

    Dear Experts,
    I have a crystal report (version 11) that has 4 subreports. I need to pass the same list of parameters to each sub report from the main design. I can not find a global perameter. Is this possible. an example is the date range. I need the user to be able to run the report and put the date range in once and have it passed to all of the sub-reports. thank you for your time.

    Hi,
    Yes, this is very much possible. Here's what you need to do:
    If the parameter is a string, number or date created in the Main Report then you can right-click the 1st subreport and select 'Change Subreport Links' > In the Fields to link to area move the Main Report parameter from the Available Fields area on the left.
    If the Subreport also has parameters then you can select the right-one that needs to be linked from the drop-down. This is directly link the Main report parameter to the Subreport parameter and you would prompted only once.
    Hope this helps!

  • Passing parameters from URL to multiple iViews on a page.

    Hi Everyone,
    Could you please point me to a guide or howto, which explains on passing parameters from URL to multiple iViews on a page. I already know how to pass parameters from URL to a single iView (wiki).
    Thanks!
    Indy

    Hi Indy,
    Currently, passing parameters to the page which contains VC iViews is not supported, only directly in the iView's URL.

  • SSRS,MDX- Passed parameters are not hitting the main query in Dataset

    I have created a SSRS report which has to accept two parameters i.e., store name, Date(to show sales on particular date) in report. which are working fine for me. but, those passed parameters are not hitting the main query in main Dataset. what ever i
    pass in parameters, it is displaying all the rows(every city values). i think i am not correct in creating the statement in  Main dataset query, to receive those 2 parameters into the main query. can anybody please help me how to create the statement
    in main date set to display the results for the exact parameter i am passing(which has to be in MDX).
    ram

    Hi ramprasad74,
    According to your description, you want to use parameter in the report, then after parameter values are selected, corresponding data will be displayed in the report. But the parameters do not work and all the rows are displayed.
    To pass parameter to main report dataset, we need to define parameter for MDX query and assign parameter name same as SSRS report parameter. For detail information, please refer to the following steps:
    Create a Dataset to retrieve data for Store name parameter.
    Create Store name parameter, type name and prompt, set Date type to Text, check Allow multiple values check box, then select get values from the dataset.
    Create a Dataset for Date parameter.
    Create Date parameter, type name and prompt, set Date type to Date/Time, then select get values from the dataset.
    Create a new dataset used to retrieve data for the report, add statement like below to the mdx query: {STRTOMEMBER(@Date)} * {STRTOSET (@Store_name)}.
    In Query Designer pane, click Query Parameters and assign parameter name same as SSRS report parameter.
    For more information about SSRS Report with Single and Multi Selection Parameter using MDX Query, please refer to the following blog:

  • Passing Parameters to Form Component

    Can I pass parameters to a form component through the URL...like PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.new_instance?p_moduleid=1098075940 is the link to get the form ..I want to pass a parameter along with this.This is to pass the parameter to a stored procedure on which the form is based.
    null

    Yes you can pass parameters.. here's a quick tutorial..
    There are 2 ways to link to a 3.0 form from another component:
    1. "Query links", in this mode user can specify any conditions for the form and when the form
    gets these values it will execute the query using passed conditions and if a record found we will bring the form in the update mode so that record can be updated, if multiple records found all set of the records will be returned, and user can use "Next" and "Previous" buttons to navigate in the set.
    If none of the records in the table satisfy the criteria, the form will be shown in insert mode with all fields empty.
    Parameter | Condition | Static Value | or | Column Name
    EMPNO | | >= | | 7900 | | | | | |
    ENAME | | | | | | | | | |
    JOB | | | | | | | | | |
    MGR | | | | | | | | | |
    HIREDATE | | | | | | | | | |
    SAL | | | | | | | | | |
    COMM | | | | | | | | | |
    DEPTNO | | | | | | | | | |
    showheader | | | | | | | | | |
    _rowid | | | | | | | | | |
    Resulting Link Example:
    portal30.wwa_app_module.link?
    p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=1060253649
    &p_arg_names=_sessionid&p_arg_values=
    &p_arg_names=EMPNO&p_arg_values=7900
    &p_arg_names=_empno_cond&p_arg_values=%3E%3D
    2. "Link-to-fill-the-defaults"
    This type of link is similar to WebDB 2.x forms link.
    Take the link above and remove all the conditions and you will get the "defaults" link, we just take whatever you put in the value field and put it in the form field as a default value, no query performed. This type of link should be used in case if the users want to create a new record based on some of existing table data. For example to create another employee record in a department with the same job title and reporting to the same manager.
    Parameter | Condition | Static Value | or | Column Name
    EMPNO | | | | | | | | | |
    ENAME | | | | | | | | | |
    JOB | | | | | | | | JOB | |
    MGR | | | | | | | | MGR | |
    HIREDATE | | | | | | | | | |
    SAL | | | | | | | | | |
    COMM | | | | | | | | | |
    DEPTNO | | | | | | | | DEPTNO | |
    showheader | | | | | | | | | |
    _rowid | | | | | | | | | |
    Resulting Link Example:
    portal30.wwa_app_module.link?
    p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=1060253649
    &p_arg_names=_sessionid&p_arg_values=
    &p_arg_names=JOB&p_arg_values=CLERK
    &p_arg_names=MGR&p_arg_values=7902
    &p_arg_names=DEPTNO&p_arg_values=20

  • Passing Parameters in a URL

    Hi,
    Does anybody know how/if it's possible to pass parameters into a URL from LOV/comboboxes/tick-boxes etc...
    I know this is possible through External Applications for the username and password, but what if the user wants to select multiple departments of a given report?
    The idea being, that we are going to be passing parameters into Sales Analyser to fire off a specific report with given values.
    These values are restricted, depending on which user you are and your level of access to the portal. This URL will then be used to open an SA report with the details required.
    Thanks, Matt.

    Hi,
    You will have to encode your parameter value. The problem is because of the spaces in the value. Whenever there any special
    characters in the value it should be encoded.
    example
    select '<area shape="rect" coords="335,66,528,83" href="http://townland:7778/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.RPT_SUMKWH.show_parms?meter='||
    <portal_schema>.wwutl_htf.url_encode('PMS 11BBA01')||'">pams</a>' url
    from meters
    The above is just an example. Please change the names to suit your requirements.
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

  • Passing parameters from Design Studio to Explorer

    Is it possible to pass parameters (filter selections) from Design Studio to BO Explorer?
    Thanks,
    Anders

    Hi Andres,
    I could figure out the solution for all these options.
    I used if-esle statement to handle the blank parameter values
    To pass multiple values for the parameter, I converted the "; " separator to _]_ so as to convert the list in the format recognized by Explorer. Note that there is a space after ;
    To pass multiple parameters, I used the syntax "_;_" to include the second parameter in the url (refer to the last else statement in the below mentioned code)
    Hope this helps in case you haven't found any solution yet.
    //specify global variables for each filter and capture the filter selections in them
    var1=DS_1.getFilterText("Dim1");
    var2=DS_1.getFilterText("Dim2");
    //Use below mentioned code for the On Click event of the button

    Hi,
    Go through the tutorials "Sharing Data Between Two
    Pages" and "Understanding Scope and Managed Beans".
    These are available at:
    http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator
    /learning/tutorials/index.jsp
    These should be of help to you
    Cheers
    GirishI do understand how to share data between two pages!
    I just dont know (the best way) to keep request variables between multiple requests (without using session variables).
    Question: What would happen if I had one button on the last page of the tutorial "Sharing Data between Two Pages". I mean, that button would make a post on the same page and would try to get data from the request bean (which does not exist anymore).

  • Passing parameters (range) to ABAP function from Crystal report

    Hello experts,
    Iu2019ve created an ABAP function which receives parameters from a Crystal report . It works very well with simple parameters.
    In my crystal report I can see the fields with the prefix u201CI_u201D in the field explorer, and I can use this fields  in my Function Modules perfectly.
    The problem is to pass parameters like range or multiples values.
    I would like to know how to put this parameters into the low and high values of the range and receive them in my Function Module in the ABAP layer.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Passing filters to multiple Analyzer reports

    I've used the drill link to pass filters to another (single) report, no problem. Has anyone figured a way to pass filter to multiple reports?
    We bring users into a high level screen where they select their location with access being controlled by filters. Once there they have the option of selecting several reports using service buttons and would like the location passed instead of having to select again.
    Using Analyzer 7.2 and will be upgrading to System 9 this year.

  • Popup Window - Passing Parameters

    I need some help w/ popup windows and passing parameters back and forth.
    On page 7 (report page), I have:
    - TXT_P7_SALESREP displays the names of the selected sales reps, defaults to All
    - CMD_P7_PICKSALESREP opens the pop up window when clicked
    - H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST stores the list of the currently selected sales rep ids (used to generate the report)
    On page 10 (popup page), I have:
    - CBL_P10_SALESREP a check box list of all sales reps (by name)
    - H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST stores the list of currently selected sales rep ids
    - CMD_P10_OK to submit the changes and close the page
    - CMD_P10_CANCEL to close the popup window w/o saving any changes (I got this working already via the close popup window process)
    The process should be something like:1) User opens report page, 'All' is displayed in the text box, and H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST contains all the sales rep ids
    2) User clicks CMD_P7_PICKSALESREP to change list of sales reps
          2a) Popup window opens & the value of H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST is set to the value of H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST
          2b) CBL_P10_SALESREP has values checked based on the value of H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST (all by default, but a user could change sales reps multiple times)
    3) User makes their changes and hits OK
          3a) Value of H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST is updated w/ list of currently selected sales reps
          3b) Value of H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST is updated w/ the value of H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST
          3c) Popup window is closed, returning the user to the report page
          3d) TXT_P7_SALESREP is updated via the contents of H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST
    4) User runs the report which is processed/displayed based on the values of H_P7_SALESREPIDLISTI tried putting javascript:popupURL('f?p=&APP_ID.:10:&SESSION.::NO::H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST:&H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST'); in the URL Target for CMD_P7_PICKSALESREP, but it didn't work. I just dont know enough about passing parameters and APEX-specifics to set this up myself. Any help would be appreciated.
    I'd prefer to do this w/ as little javascript coding as possible, but I understand it may be necessary.

    Hello
    Change the URL for CMD_P7_PICKSALESREP to be
    javascript:showPopup();
    Add the JS below into the HTML Header of page 7 <script>
    function showPopup() {
    popupURL('f?p=&APP_ID.:10:&SESSION.::NO::H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST:' +  $v('H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST') )
    </script>Change the URL for CMD_P10_OK to be
    javascript:updateValues();
    Add the JS below into the HTML header of page 10 <script>
    function updateValeus() {
    $s('H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST', $v('CBL_P10_SALESREP') )
    window.opener.document.getElementById('H_P7_SALESREPIDLIST').value= $v('H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST')
    window.opener.document.getElementById('H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST').value= $v('H_P10_SALESREPIDLIST')

  • Passing parameters to Update page

    Hi,
    I created the search/create/update page going by the instructions in the tutorial exercise. My primary key is a combination of employee number AND sequence number.
    When I query the employee in the search page and if the employee has more than one record it displays all the records for that employee.
    When I click on the "update" button on one of the record, It is not displaying me the record on which I clicked the "update" button. Instead it is displaying me the other record for the same employee. I believe I need to pass the sequence value as the parameter, but do not know how to pass it. Can anyone one help me accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    I created a new method(initQueryUpdate) in the VOImpl(here I am also setting the where clause).
    Also created a method(initDetailsUpdate) in the AMImpl and I am calling the vo.initQueryUpdate in AM code.
    I am also passing the parameters to method via a call in the ReviewupdateCO(am.invokeMethod("initDetailsUpdate", params);).
    It is compiling the entire jpr without any errors.
    When I Search an employee and clisk on the update button then I am geting the following error.
    I tried to pass parameters by putting them on the update button property with the action type of "fireAction.
    I also tried by making the actiontype "none" and putting the forwarding apge with parameters in the "Destination URL" property and still I get the error message when I run it. Any one has any clues.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ali

  • How to open a page from a Form and pass parameters to the form on that page

    I found a similar example on this forum, but it did not work for me:
    declare
    l_names owa.vc_arr;
    l_values owa.vc_arr;
    i number;
    begin
    PORTAL.wwpro_api_parameters.retrieve(l_names, l_values);
    FOR i in 1..l_names.count
    LOOP
    htp.p(l_names(i) || ' ' || l_values(i));
    END LOOP;
    end;
    By using this method i get the parameters for the Form, like the session ID, but not the parameters for the Page that the form is displayed in.
    Another method I tried:
    To open a Form from a Form and pass parameters works fine like this:
    --In the After processing page PL/SQL event.
    declare
    v_id number;
    blk varchar2(10):='DEFAULT';
    Begin
    v_id:=p_session.get_value_as_number (p_block_name=&gt;blk,p_attribute_name=&gt;'A_ID');
    if v_id &gt; 0 then
    htp.formOpen('PORTAL.wwa_app_module.link?p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=2649500412&p_arg_names=_show_header&p_arg_values=YES&p_arg_names=ID&p_arg_values='||to_char(v_id),'post');
    htp.formSubmit(NULL,'Upload Files');
    htp.formClose;
    end if;
    End;
    But I want to open a Page containing the Form instead of just opening the Form. Is this possible to open a Page and pass paramters to the page, and then let the form inside the Page access the passed paramters. The reason for this is that a Form cannot be based on a page template, or can it? When opening the form i want to keep the left menu, which I can if it is a page based on my template with the left menu.
    Best regards
    Halvor

    Hi,
    You can do this by calling the url of the page with the form. You can then use p_arg_names and p_arg_values to pass parameters. In the called form you can get the value from p_arg_names and p_arg_values and assign it to the form field.
    You can call this code in the success procedure of the calling form.
    declare
    v_id number;
    blk varchar2(10):='DEFAULT';
    v_url varchar2(2000);
    Begin
    v_id:=p_session.get_value_as_number (p_block_name=>blk,p_attribute_name=>'A_ID');
    v_url := <page_url>;
    if v_id > 0 then
    call(v_url||'&p_arg_names=id&p_arg_values='||v_id);
    end if;
    End;
    In the called form in "Before displaying form" plsql section write this code.
    for i in 1..p_arg_names.count loop
    if p_arg_names(i) = 'id' then
    p_session.set_value(
    p_block_name => blk,
    p_attribute_name => 'A_ID',
    p_value => p_arg_values(i)
    end if;
    end loop;
    This code picks up the value from p_arg_values and assigns it to the form field.
    Hope that helps.
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

  • Pass parameters from JSP Dyn Page to WDJ Application

    Hi,
    I am trying to pass parameters from my JSPDyn Page to WDJ Application.
    I am using NWDS 7.1 EHP1
    My code is :
    function to_WEBDYNHK()
          EPCM.relaxDocumentDomain();
          EPCM.doNavigate
        ('ROLES://pcd:portal_content/Himanshu.Himanshu/TestDynUIApp?DynamicParameter="hkparam%3Dqwertyuio"');
    This method is being called on click of a button.
    hkparam is the parameter in question.
    The JSPDyn page is an iView and the WDJ application is a page and both have been assigned to a role.
    In the properties of the WDJ Page, I have removed DymanicParameter from "Do not Forward These Parameters To Web Dynpro" property.
    However I am getting null as the value of hkparam in my WDJ application.
    The code used is :
    IWDRequest request = WDProtocolAdapter.getProtocolAdapter().getRequestObject();
           String param1= request.getParameter("hkparam");
    What seems to be missing here.
    Please help.
    I went through the documentation on SDN but it does not seem to help.
    TIA,
    Himanshu

    Hi Himanshu,
    Try this code.
    EPCM.doNavigate("ROLES:portal_content/Himanshu.Himanshu/TestDynUIApp?hkparam=Dmypass1123")
    if the parameter is hkparam and the value to be passed is Dmypass1123. You need not change any design time property of the WD page, and WDProtocolAdapter should retrive the parameter.
