Passing properties to mediator service from soap - ui

Hi,
I have a composite A which has a mediator component A1 in it.
This mediator will be called by some external BPEL/OSB service.
Whenever i see an instance of the mediator i see certain properties / headers in the input payload to the mediator.
These are not passed by default, however they do come.
I want to know how can i ovverrride/pass these values when i am calling this mediator service from soap-ui
Thanks,
Rosh

Can you please paste here the properties expected by mediator?

  • How Can I call a UCM service from SOAP request

    Hi,
    I have created one custom service and I would like to call that service from 3rd Party system via SOAP call. The 3rd Party system does not have the capability to call through RIDC.
    Now I have exposed my service and tried to call but authentication exception was coming status code 401.
    So I created one sample ADF application and tried to call the DocInfo service for testing (I thought let's try DocInfo then I will check my custom service). I downloaded the DocInfo service from UCM and  uploaded the WSDL into the project and got the client DocInfoSoapClient.java file.
    public class DocInfoSoapClient
      @WebServiceRef
      private static DocInfo docInfo;
      public static void main(String [] args)
        docInfo = new DocInfo();
        DocInfoSoap docInfoSoap = docInfo.getDocInfoSoap();
        DocInfoByNameResult res = docInfoSoap.docInfoByName("TEST_001603", null);
        System.out.println(res.getContentInfo());
        // Add your code to call the desired methods.
    The error is coming like:
    Exception in thread "main" com.sun.xml.ws.client.ClientTransportAccessException: The server sent HTTP status code 401: Unauthorized: http://xxxxxxxx:16200/_dav/cs/idcplg
      at com.sun.xml.ws.transport.http.client.HttpTransportPipe.getClientTransportException(HttpTransportPipe.java:340)
    I tried a lot but same error. There should be some process by which I can send the userid and password but failed. Even I tried to send the properties as key value pair in IdcPropertyList but I know that is wrong.
    I checked the Issue: https://community.oracle.com/thread/2424460
    But there was no answer.
    Can anyone help on it?
    Regards,
    Santanu

    Hi Santanu,
    You need to write SoapHandler in order to pass username and pwd. You will need 2 classes namely HeaderHandlerResolver & SoapHandler. This is how i do in in my JAX-WS clients. I generate stubs and then attach handler to webserviceinterface
    PFA HeaderHandlerResolver.java and SoapHandler.java you would attach soap handler something like this in your code i have never done this via ADF so not sure.
    HeaderHandlerResolver soapHandlerResolver = new HeaderHandlerResolver();
    docInfo.setHandlerResolver(soapHandlerResolver);
    In SoapHandler class you will mention username and pwd like this
    soapMessageContext.put(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY,"username");
    soapMessageContext.put(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY,"pwd");

    Okay, So I am trying to pass windows authentication from sharepoint into a tab withing a webpart that loads reporting services. Right now the users log into Sharepoint and when they click on the reporting tab within a webpart they are prompted to login again. I can't pass session variables because the reporting services is outside of the webpart and is being hosted within an Iframe. • Calling a web service from a portal application / SOAP Action

    Hallo,
    Ich möchte aus einer Portal Applikation auf einen Web Service zugreifen.
    Dafür habe ich mit dem Wizard "Portal Service from Wsdl file - Client side"
    eine Portal Service erzeugt, auf den ich dann zugreife.
    Leider wird dabei ein Fehler ausgegeben (Stacktrace-Ausschnitt s.u.).
    Ich habe ein Posting zu dem Fehler hier im SDN gefunden, leider hatte dort niemand eine Antwort. Vielleicht hat inzwischen jemand eine Idee?
    Das Feld soapaction ist in der soapconfig.xml leer angegeben (soapaction="").
    Es ändert aber nichts an der Fehlermeldung, wenn ich dort etwas eintrage.
    Ein weiterer Gedanke ist, dass die soapaction, die wenn ich es richtig verstehe eine URL auf die web service methode enthalten soll, im Grunde dynamisch sein sollte, da der Web Service lokal in dem Portal läuft, auf dem die Applikation gerade deployed ist. Auf den Web Service wird mit WebDynPro erfolgreich zugegriffen (dynamisch). Meine Vermutung ist, dass hier das Problem liegt und es entweder mit diesem Wizard nicht möglich ist oder ein Bug vorliegt.
    Also ist die Frage: Wie erzeuge ich dasselbe für eine Portal-Applikation?
    Ich hoffe, dass mir jemand mit einer Antwort oder Hinweisen wo man weiterforschen kann, weiterhelfen kann.
    Freundliche Grüße,
    Daniel Dehnhard

    Hi,
      I am accessing a web service from a Portal Component through a Portal Web Service. First i created a web service, then a portal web service which is made to access the wsdl file of the web service. Now i access the Portal Web Service from a Portal Component. Now i am getting an error as,

    The code which i wrote in component is below
    String text = "word";
    FuncHelloResponse res=new FuncHelloResponse();
    FuncHello fn= new FuncHello() ;
    fn.setName(text);

  • Calling a soap web service from a java desktop application

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to call a soap web service from a java desktop application? I've seen examples using Apache Axis, but it sounds like Axis needs to run on a web server and we are trying to avoid that. My initial thought was that, "of course we need a web server", but I'm wondering if there is a way to do this without a web server.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    thank you,
    Julie

    If you are the consumer you don't need any web server. The web server is only needed in the provider end.
    In java 6 there is a built in framework to call web services without the need of third parties (such as apache axis)
    take a look at:
    https://jax-ws.dev.java.net/guide/Developing_client_application_with_locally_packaged_WSDL.html
    http://java.sun.com/webservices/technologies/index.jsp
    For the provider end there is also a built in http server to expose web service via HTTP without the need to
    use any external web server.
    take a look at:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/xml/ws/Endpoint.html

  • Invoke OSSO protected SOAP service from composite

    Hi,
    I would like to invoke an OSSO protected SOAP Service from a composite. I haven't been able to figure out how exactly to invoke the service properly, and I end up with
    javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 401 Unauthorized
    or
    oracle.j2ee.ws.saaj.ContentTypeException: Not a valid SOAP Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
    This is because the OSSO Server is trying to redirect the request to a login page.
    I have attempted to configure the service reference to use the following, but I fear this will only work for basic http authentication
    <property name="oracle.webservices.auth.password">password</property>
    <property name="oracle.webservices.auth.username">username</property>
    and added the following the the reference and configure the credential store csf-key and basic.credentials to have a username / password.
    <wsp:PolicyReference URI="oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy"
    orawsp:category="security" orawsp:status="enabled"/>
    Can anyone provide any insight on this?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    One more update i tried printing l_http_response.status_code and got 302.
    Thanks,

  • How to access (any) soap / rest web services from widget

    Hi all,
    Is there an API, javascript library etc, which allows accessing (any) soap / rest webservices from widgets?
    I know I can access web services from sap j2ee with widget foundation, but I'm still not sure how to access "outside"
    web services.
    A blog entry about this topic would be greatly appreciated I think, not only by me.
    Regards,
    Ladislav

    As promised, below is the js lib source code. I did not see the attachement option, so you can just create a text file and save it with .js extension.
              function getHdrData( FuncName ) {
                return '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>' +
                          '<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" ' +
                                             'xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" ' +
                                             'xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">' +
                          '<SOAP-ENV:Header><sapsess:Session ' +
                                    'xmlns:sapsess="http://www.sap.com/webas/630/soap/features/session/">' +
                                    '<enableSession>true</enableSession></sapsess:Session>'+
                          '</SOAP-ENV:Header><SOAP-ENV:Body><ns1:' +
                          FuncName +
                          ' xmlns:ns1=\'urn:sap-com:document:sap:soap:functions:mc-style\'>';
              function addVar ( VarName, VarValue ) {
                return '<' + VarName + '>' + VarValue  + '</' + VarName + '>';
              function getFtrData( FuncName ) {
              return '</ns1:' + FuncName + '></SOAP-ENV:Body></SOAP-ENV:Envelope>';
              function setTable ( TblName, TblType) {
                   return '<' + TblName + ' xsi:type=\'ns1:' + TblType + '\'>';
              function closeTable ( TblName) {
                   return '</' + TblName + '>';
              function startEntry( ) {
                   return '<item>';
              function endEntry( ) {
                   return '</item>';
    So the following is the basic on how to use this library:
    * Set up SOAP envelope
    * Get the header data
    getHdrData( SOAP operation name )
    * If the web service set up the table and record start tags
    setTable( variable name, table type ) - Optional
    Set new record tag: startEntry() ? Optional
    * Set up the fieldname or variable name
    addVar( variable name, variable value )
    * Set up the table and record end tags
    endEntry() ? Optional
    closeTable( variable name ) ? Optional
    * Set up the footer SOAP envelope
    Set footer data: getFtrData(SOAP operation name )
    So hopefully that will help you consume SAP Published web services.

  • Consuming SOAP services from AIR/HTML (JavaScript).

    Hi All.
    I am trying to consume SOAP web services from an AIR/HTML application for a research on AIR I am doing for my company, and I am having very little success.
    I am creating JavaScript clients using apache's cxf wsdl2js utility.
    When I try to use the client to call any web service I've tried, I always get an 'error 500' response.
    The web services work fine if i call them from other clients.
    Before trying cxf generated clients I googled a lot to see if there was a more native way of doing these calls from AIR, but found nothing. I don't see anything in documentation or the web about it.
    Am I the only one trying this?
    Could this be a cross-domain issue? I'm certainly hoping AIR apps don't have this issue.
    Any pointers as to how to succesfully consume SOAP services from AIR is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    In Visual Basic, you can set Network Credentials like this (assuming that you first declare Public CallWebService001 As New <WebReference>):
            ' Create a new instance of CredentialCache.
            Dim mycredentialCache As Net.CredentialCache = New Net.CredentialCache()
            ' Create a new instance of NetworkCredential using the client
            ' credentials.
            Dim credentials As Net.NetworkCredential = New Net.NetworkCredential(<username>, <password>)
            ' Add the NetworkCredential to the CredentialCache.
            mycredentialCache.Add(New Uri(CallWebService001.Url), "Basic", credentials)
            ' Add the CredentialCache to the proxy class credentials.
            CallWebService001.Credentials = mycredentialCache

  • Create a web service from java bean and map exceptions to SOAP faults

    Hi,
    We have to expose our Session stateless EJB3 as web services. I've tried to use annotations and jdev wizard "java bean to web service" and it works fine.
    Our problem now is that our methods can throw a business exception that contains a list of error message strings to be presented on the client.
    I did not find any way to use annotations to make it build a wsdl with soap fault mapped to our exception class. Neither I could to make the wizard to create wsdl with faults.
    As we are exposing already designed and implemented classes as web services, I think the bottom-top (java->wsdl) approach is better that top->botton (wsdl->java). Therefore, I'm looking for a possibility to generate the web services from the java beans and have the exception be mapped to a soap fault message.
    We are using jdev 10.1.3.1 and OAS 10.1.3.1., is there a way to map exceptions to soap faults using bottom->top approach?
    thank you

    My last question concerning web services:
    I have already written a session bean and I'd like to add some methods
    as a web service to it, how do I do that?
    Or I can only create another bean for a webservice and cannot modify the
    original one?You might create web service with existing sources and select you bean. New web services with appropriate lookup method will be generated.
    All web service method, that will be exposed in web service, you
    should add itself (Pop-up menu Web Service -> Add operation)

    Hi,
    Check your soapconfig.xml
    Your method should be defined there. If it's not there, then you're sure to get this error.

  • Properties of Web Services generated from Application services in CAF

    Hi to all,
    first sorry for posting one question twice (in CAF and CE forums) but I am not sure where exactly it belongs.
    I experience problems with exposing web services from application service in CE 7.1 (trial version).
    I want to add fault elements or use document literal instead of RPC binding. I do it from the design page for web services. The problem is that after saving and regenerating the application, the changed information gets lost.
    Is it possible to expose these services while changing some information?
    And another question that would arise if this is possible. How can I catch the faults in VC? Is there e possibility to show different panels according to the value returned (from the data service, which is a web service with fault element).
    Thank You in advance!
    V S

    Hi,
    Please check note 1004108.
    Methods of Application and/or Entity Services (Business Objects) of CAF of SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 cannot be exposed in document style, only RPC/literal is possible. Sorry.
    It's a restriction that is planned to be solved in one of the next releases.

    I am able to hit external ws from soap ui and getting response but while calling from soa suite getting this error.
    Any clues?
    Thanks

    WS Binding: exception durign SOAP invocation: java.util.NoSuchElementException
    Looks like the error is in the data sent to or expected from the service in your composite. Check that audit logs and composite flow to make sure your soap message when using soapui matches what you are working with in soa suite.
