Passing value from non-table textbox to based one

Hi all!
In a master detail form I have a non-table textbox in wich I want the user writte a n: of days,and automatic I want the sysdate increased the n: of days written, in another texbox from a table, that will be insert in the table, but I don4t know how can I do it, There4s an easy way to do it as the "when validate item" trigger in Developer Forms or somtehing like that? I4m thinking in make some PL/SQL code in the ". . before processing the form"

How to pass value from one method to another method

Hi all,
I have created a funtion module and i am calling this function module inside a method and it is exporting some value in a table, now i have to pass table value to another method where i have do some thing based upon this values.
I think there a marco available to move the values from one method to another method.
Please help me in this issue.

Let me make certain assumptions!
Method 1 - You export the table values
Method 2 - The method where you need the table values
Once you create a method from a function module which has tables as one of the export parameters then the code automatically puts in the macro code which looks like : SWC_SET_TABLE CONTAINER 'Table' TABLE.
The 'Table' in the above code is the container element which is created by the workflow once you use this method and the TABLE (The table that gets filled in the function module) is the variable to code automatically created.
Now you can use the other function module in the workflow as a background step and pass the values from the 'Table' container to this method using the binding. When you use this then the method automatically has the macro SWC_GET_TABLE CONTAINER 'Table' ITABLE. Here the 'Table' is the same container table you used in the binding and the ITABLE would be the variable you can use in the other function module.

Dear All,
I am Automating STATSPACK reporting by modifying the sprepins.sql script.
Using DBMS_JOB I take the snap of the database and at the end of the day the cron job creates the statspack report and emails it to me.
I am storing the snapshot ids in the database and when running the report picking up the recent ids(begin snap and end snap).
From the sprepins.sql script

could it be the begin_ and end_ Colums of your query?
Seems SQL*PLUS hs parsing problems?
try to fetch another column from that table
and see if the error raises again.

I'm pretty new to APEX. I try to retrieve two values from a table using a LOV. I have a table named DEBIT with then columns SITE, NAME and KEY
I want to display NAME to the user in a list. When the user select an item from the list, I want to retrieve the data of the SITE and KEY column of this item in order to launch an SQL command based on this two values.
How to retrieve thes two values whant the user chooses an item from the list ?

From what I understood about your requirement, you want a 'select list with submit' which displays "NAME" and based on the value selected, you want to get the corresponding values for "SITE" and "KEY" from the table.
<b>Step 1: Create a select list with submit, say P1_MYSELECT </b><br><br>
Use something like this in the dynamic list of values for the select list: <br>
SELECT NAME display_value, NAME return_value
FROM DEBIT<br><br>
<b>Step 2: Create a page process of type PL/SQL block. Also create 2 hidden items P1_KEY and P1_SITE. </b><br><br>
In the PL/sQL, write something like:

v_key DEBIT.KEY%TYPE;
v_site DEBIT.SITE%TYPE;
CURSOR v_cur_myvals IS
          SELECT KEY, SITE
          FROM DEBIT
          WHERE NAME = :P1_MYSELECT;

How to get input text values from adf table - Urgent

This is my requirement. I designed customized master - detail - detail page. I customized the page in below format.
1. Master Data Field (Input text,etc) .
2. Detail in table format ( Rows are mapped to child table) and i given two buttons for to create row and delete row. I designed the table based on the example provided in forum for to create customized table. The input text component is mapped to the rows.
Now i want to retrieve all the data's entered in the rows. The table is mapped to child table. When i read the values from the table its showing null.
If any one faced this problem and fixed it, please send me the solution.

It has oldValue and newValue attributes.

Displaying values from JSP in textbox

I want to fetching values from database table using JSP and display the values in a textbox in a textbox. I found if the value is a single word, it can display correctly. but if the values are multiply words, there are just the first word appeared in the textbox. for example, I want to fetche address: 5 East 98th Street, just 5 appeared in textbox. The code is as follows:

dont forget the code... as in html spaces are ignored in values if they are not in codes.

Values from CRCO Table.

Hi all ,
I need to retreive some values from CRCO table based on the balues fetched from AFRU table. I am writing a select like this
select single KOKRS KOSTL into table itab from CRCO
          where OBJTY = 'A'
             and OBJID = AFRU-ARBID
             and ENDDA >= AFRU-BUDAT
             and BEGDA <= AFRU-BUDAT.
As I need to retreive a single record from above select, but as a result i am getting multiple records.
Can anybody tell me what other keys from AFRU I can specify in the select in order to fetch only a single record.

Object ID you can get from ARBID from AFRU Table. Put value of ARBID in OBJID in table CRCO & get values of KOKRS & KOSTL. That value will be unique for an work center But if ARBID values are many for an AUFNR(order no.) that mean you are using different work center where in may be you are using different cost center(i think controlling area will remain same). & hence SAP creates different records.

How to truncate the values from the table

Hi All,
I am working on an issue..where we are first deleting all the records from the table and then based on few conditions we are putting the records back in that table...when we tried to run this program along with few others those who are doing almost the same stuff we are having issues...we tried to schedule few jobs related to these programs only...but after a ceratin amount of time couple of jobs got canceled...I was talking to my basis guy and he said the problem is ratehr then truncating the records from the table we are deleting the records and it's taking lots and lots of space to execute...so we need to truncate the records from the table insted of deleting it...we are using the following the statement right now:
    DELETE FROM ZTUS_PG.
    COMMIT WORK.
So can you please tell me how can we truncate the values from this table instead of just deleting them and what would be effect of this.

I don't think basis is saying you should delete all the records from the table. They are saying remove the table and it's contents (a much faster thing to do). I'm not sure this the right thing to do, but you can have a look at:

how do I pass values from a workflow to a step (Form) - approve form?
I am using a customized table structure as my data source (FORMCONTAINERELEMENT) but am stuck on how to access the data when i get to to the screen painter's flow logic... What am i missing? Can you give me a step by step example. the ones i see on the net are input fields that update the screen... nothing that shows value being passed from the outside.
I need to pass an exisitng value in the workflow into the form for approval of the the assigned agent.

         Create a method just before the form step.This method should populate the values for the fields maintained in the form.
         Pass the values populated from this method to your customized table structure (data source).In other words, you have to pass all the values to the workflow container.
        To the step, pass this workflow container by binding.In the control tab of form step, you have to do the binding.

I think he meant the global namespace.
You set a :global_your_name_here to a value and that value is available in your entire application. See the help file section on the global namespace for more information.
Forms parameters are parameters that you form picks up from the outside when it starts. The calling entity must supply them in the URL or they will be set to null. You set them up in the object navigator in the Parameters node.
