Passivation Error with 9.0.3 Release

I am getting a passivation error with the new 9.0.3 Release Jdeveloper. I have a page-by-page iteration set up and am selecting out of a table that has 9000 rows in it. When I first query the table I do not have any problems, but when I go towards the end I start throwing passivation errors. I run the following chunk of code:
DcAddressView dav = (DcAddressView)this.getDcAddressView1();
dav.setWhereClause(whereClause);
dav.setRangeSize(pageSize);
dav.setRangeStart(startPos);
Row[] rows = dav.getAllRowsInRange();
where whereClause = "1 = 1 and source_ind = '9'"; pageSize = 20; startPos = 5900
With the whereClause used there is 5948 records in the recordset. When I debug this section of code I throw an exception as I try to setRangeStart(5900) as follows:

Any help would be appreciated. BTW-- I have repeatedly deleted all bc4j tables from my database.

Eric,
We're tracking this problem as Bug#2646690. Thanks for reporting it.
The problem is related to a change in the JDBC driver when the oracle.jdbc.J2EE13Compliant Java system property is set to the value true. When this flag is set to true, JDBC returns a DATE column from the database as a java.sql.Date object. When the flag is not set or set to false, it returns the java.sql.Timestamp type that it has always returned before.
The workaround until we are able to fix this on our side to work with either Timestamp or Date in our code, is to add the line:
System.setProperty("oracle.jdbc.J2EE13Compliant","false");Into the constructor of your root application module's *Impl.java class.

  • Stack overflow error with production release

    Hi,
I am using Flex 4.5.1 and I am getting a weird error upon exporting a production release. Here is the stack trace:
VerifyError: Error #1023: Stack overflow occurred.

As you can see there is no trace of our own classes anywhere. I don't get this error if I use the normal debug version. We are very close to going live and we can't use the debug version files as they are bulky and are increasing the initial load time of the application.
    Please help!
    Thanks.
    Manoj

Hey I get this suddenly in an app that's been running and working fine.  We just updated with a release build for some other updates and I get this error.  Here's the context:
I am using Flex 4.6, have a component that extends the Flex 3 AdvancedDataGrid for some lightweight customization of how column resising work.  The component is used in several of our apps.  But, for some reason, and with no code updates to this particular component in a while, when I click on a row in the grid, I get this stack overflow exception too.  The exact same stack trace as the one mentioned by the original poster.
Anyone have a clue why I would be seeing "spark.components.gridClasses::..." in my stack trace to begin with when the component that is being clicked on is a Flex 3 AdvDataGrid component?  I've seen some mention of the compiler error that somehow bashes the stack under the perfect circumstances.  But, in our case, we've eliminated all of our own event handlers (click/etc) from the grid and we still get this error and only in the release build.  So, there's no way to change any of our code to fix it b/c none of our code is executing when the error occurs.
This is very very odd stuff.  Any ideas???

  • BC4J Passivation error

    Hi all,
Apologies if this is the second time round; first time didn't appear to post.
    I'm trying to get a BC4J app working. I'm using a brand-spankin' new 9.0.2.822 JDeveloper connecting to a less-than-new 8.1.7 database.
To test, I'm just trying to browse / query a small table, Languages, which contains the ISO codes for various languages. I did the following:
    - created a new workspace
    - created a new project with business components
    - created a new business web application
    - selected LANGUAGES from the table menu
and a horde of jsp and whatnot pages were created. I then attempt to "run main.html" and get mozilla to pop open
a browser that says "This is a Business Components JSP Application." Yay! I then click on the left under Languages for either Browse or Query, and get the following stack track. I have never seen this work in a browser, and the table itself is small, so I don't think this is hte row issue I saw elsewhere on the forum. Furthermore, I am seeing the PCOLL_CONTROL table, but not the PS_TXN table in the database.
    Any ideas?

Ah, excellent, this is quite helpful.
Now, it looks to me that the problem is quite simple: whatever BC4J is doing, it is NOT creating the PS_TXN table (or the PS_TXN_SEQ sequence). Line 160 down there clearly shows PCOLL_CONTROL table being created, but the PS_TXN table isn't.
Is there some way to kick-start its creation? Or can somebody ship me the schema and I'll just enter it by hand?
    Cheers,

  • While releasing a PO an error showing PO cannot be released

While checking the PO release an error showing PO cannot be released is showing. The release button is not appearing from the first code itself

    Hi,
The following are the various reasons for the errormessgae.
    1. PO would have already released.
    2. PO would not have come under the perview of release u defined
3.You would not have authorization for release M_EINK_FRG object.
4.The charetarestcs defined will not come for this PO properties.
    ETc.
Mostly , if all the config is setand done and working fine for other  POs tooo then this PO iswith the problem.
Do you have this problem for other POs too with the same kind of PO?

    Hi all!
I've got this error when I try to run my BC4J Application:

    DB 9i + patchset 9.0.2
The SAME APPLICATION works right when deployed on this env:

remote DB 9i + patchset 9.0.2 on SUN SOLARIS
The Application Module is deployed as a Session Bean (BMT),

I have also modified jbo.ejb.txntype from "global" to "local"
because with "global" it doesn't work...
    Anyone can help me?
    regards

First you'll want to read this BC4J "HowTo" article on how our persistent collection functionality works so you can decide whether you not you really want to be using it.
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/htdocs/bc4j/bc4j_temp_tables.html
Likely you don't want to be, so this article explains how to avoid having its being used. It's typically a "last resort" feature that saves appserver memory by writing extra query results rows out to persistent storage if you query thousands of rows into memory and start scrolling around.
Down in your stack trace there is the error:
    ORA-600: [19942]
This is a database internal error related to handling CLOB's and BLOB's. I see a few bugs that were reported in versions 8.0.5 but fixed in 8.1.6.
What version of the Oracle database are you using?

    Hello,
Please start the report RSWOGIND, set also the checkbox "generate all

  • [SOLVED] errors with fdisk and cryptsetup; is my drive going bad?

I'm having issues with re-formatting an external hard drive using dm-crypt. It was previously formatted with TrueCrypt/NTFS, which I used as a shared backup drive between Windows and Arch. At some point, it stopped being able to mount, which I attributed to allowing Windows to "fix" it after improper dismount (e.g. a hard kill).
I decided to re-format with ext4 and only use it from Arch, but now I'm wondering if I may have a hardware issue with the drive. I've tried a lot more (like going through the full zero write after mounting the drive as a temporary dm-crypt device), but here's the condensed version to illustrate the problem.
    system info
This is on a fresh boot. Just adding that as I've had issues with kernel modules after updating if a new kernel comes through. A fresh boot removes that potential issue.
    $ uname -a
    Linux arch_840 4.0.3-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 13 15:38:47 CEST 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linux

    smartctl status
Figured I should check the drive. There's a lot of old age and pre-fail warnings, but this post would seem to suggest I'm okay?

Things also tend to hang with respect to the drive at this point. For example, fdisk -l spits out /dev/sda partitions immediately and then just hangs instead of printing out /dev/sdb info, then eventually quits (without ever writing it).
Any suggestions on where to look/how to troubleshoot? I found some possibly related posts, but nothing that looks promising:
    - Impossible to crypt the drive using cryptsetup (fixed by rebooting)
    - cryptsetup fails to open Udev cookie 0xd4d94f5 (semid 0) waiting for z (no responses; the hang after seems similar)
There's a couple odds and ends references to cryptsetup 1.6.6 having issues. I downloaded 1.6.4-1 and 1.6.5-1 and -2 from ARM to try, but wanted to post this in the meantime in case something stuck out.

@qinohe I thought of that and the other day started formatting with mkfs.ext4; unfortunately, it was at work and I had to leave before I could let it finish. It had been chugging along a good few hours, and I was surprised it would take that long. I was able to format it with ext4 using Windows 7 (I dual boot) with the MiniTool Partition Wizard but I didn't use it like that before trying to solve the cryptsetup issue again.
This last time around, I was getting unresponsive behavior. I think I need to reboot each time I try something with cryptsetup, as any commands related to that drive seem to hang afterwards (fdisk, umount, eject, mkfs, or trying crypsetup again). Perhaps I'll just let it cook overnight with mkfs and see if I can at least have an unencrypted, but functional drive.
One interesting tidbit is that even though cryptsetup fails, when I've tried to issue mkfs afterward, it asks me to confirm that I want to format the disk since it has a LUKS header... so something appears to have been written. Is it possible the header is causing some issues? I don't know much about the structure of a disk (like what range the MBR resides in, what constitutes a header, etc.) but have been wondering if there's some way to start really, really clean with the disk. Like I'd just bought it -- something appears to be lingering around from previous efforts?
@frostschutz I'll check tomorrow. That's a good question. Just checked journalctl and here are some of the errors that appear; unfortunately, I wasn't watching so I can't tell you what matches up with what command:
    May 23 09:32:22 arch_840 systemd-udevd[7784]: inotify_add_watch(7, /dev/sdb1, 10) failed: No such file or directory
    May 23 09:32:22 arch_840 kernel: usb 3-4: stat urb: status -108
    ### there's lots like this; like 10 in a row with various sector values listed
May 23 09:32:19 arch_840 kernel: Buffer I/O error on dev sdb1, logical block 61341696, lost async page write
    May 23 09:32:19 arch_840 kernel: blk_update_request: I/O error, dev sdb, sector 490735616
    ### there's also a bunch like this, from tab #0 -> #29 (not colored red, so not sure they're errors?)
    May 23 09:32:19 arch_840 kernel: sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] tag#0 CDB: opcode=0x2a 2a 00 1d 07 bc 10 00 04 00 00
    May 23 09:32:18 arch_840 kernel: sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] tag#0 uas_eh_abort_handler 0 uas-tag 1 inflight: CMD OUT
I paged down quite a ways and those seem like the unique messages when I search the journal for "sdb". Anything stand out? I will say that the same sector numbers appeared in multiple blocks of the third error type listed, so that makes me wonder if something is genuinely wrong with the disk. I'll post the output of the full smartctl scan when I hopefully run it tomorrow.
    Thanks for chiming in!

  • Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "117122"

    Hi people,
    We have the error:
    =====================
Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "117122"
    Diagnosis
In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.
In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.
The system has found that the current plan period is not filled forproduct "117122" in plant "UBE1".
We have the follow configuration in trans.: KE40:
    . Determine material cost estimate
       . Transf. Standard Cost Estimate
    . Costing Variant
. Control Data for Standard Cost Estimate
. Period Indicator = "Current Standard Cost Estimate acc. to entry in mat master
    . Addiitonal data CO-PC
. Transfer cost estimate in controlling area currency  "activated"
We think the reason about our error is because the field above is activated and some configuration more is necessary for this case. For examplo: Trans.: OKYW and this one was not configurated yet.
    Do you know what happend?
If we need to configure some transation, or sonly process the cost estimate?
    Thanks,
    Rosana.

    Hello Guido
Thank you very much for your return.
It is happenning in a Client that some people are doing the configuration.
Before we didin't have in KE40, the fiel "Transfer cost estimate in controlling area currency" activated.
And now, the people activate that in this new Client and I don't know the impact about that.
I think we have to make the configuration in OKYW.
The other transation you told me, we don't have any information.
Could you tell me some other idea what happend?
Message error is just "Message no. KE350"
    Abou claculate the cost:
It was calculated by trans.: CK11N for future planning and the real wasn't not possible to release because this material already have moviments.
Could you tell us is there is some thing more to do?
    Thanks,
    Rosana.

If this material is mto material go to t.code KE40 and maintain define access to standard cost estimate define cost key with
    "Transfer sales orde cost estimatex".
If it is mts material define costing key with Transfer std cost estimate  and in costing data
    costing variant : ppc1
    costing verstion: 1
period  indicator:  Release std cost estimate matching with goods issue or material costing matching posting date.
    This will resolve ur problem.

  • Problem with file descriptors not released by JMF

    Hi,
I have a problem with file descriptors not released by JMF. My application opens a video file, creates a DataSource and a DataProcessor and the video frames generated are transmitted using the RTP protocol. Once video transmission ends up, if we stop and close the DataProcessor associated to the DataSource, the file descriptor identifying the video file is not released (checkable through /proc/pid/fd). If we repeat this processing once and again, the process reaches the maximum number of file descriptors allowed by the operating system.
The same problem has been reproduced with JMF-2.1.1e-Linux in several environments:
    - Red Hat 7.3, Fedora Core 4
    - jdk1.5.0_04, j2re1.4.2, j2sdk1.4.2, Blackdown Java
This is part of the source code:

    Many thanks.

Its a bug on H263, if you test it without h263 track or with other video codec, the release will be ok.
You can try to use a not-Sun h263 codec like the one from fobs or jffmpeg projects.

  • RUNTIME Error - User Status for Order release

    HI Friends,
Pls go thru the run-time error description, which i'm getting on Order release.Pls reply,.
    Runtime Errors         MESSAGE_TYPE_X
    Date and Time          31.03.2008 13:16:08
    Short text
The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.
    What happened?
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).
    What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
    Short text of error message:
Unable to read RFC destination WORKFLOW_LOCAL_250
    Long text of error message:
    Technical information about the message:
    Message class....... "SWF_RUN"
    Number.............. 617
    Variable 1.......... "WORKFLOW_LOCAL_250"
    Variable 2.......... "RFC_READ_DESTINATION_TYPE"
    Variable 3.......... "DESTINATION_NOT_EXIST"
    Variable 4.......... " "
    How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:
    "MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
    "CL_SWF_RUN_WIM_LOCAL==========CP" or "CL_SWF_RUN_WIM_LOCAL==========CM088"
    "IF_SWF_RUN_WIM_UTL_INTERNAL~GET_SYSTEM_USER"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
    1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
    In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
    Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

    i have this error:

i found note 369179.1, Note says i need to apply lastest autoconfig patch...
When i donwload patch 6372396 which is lasest patch number for r11( i sourced r11 env file), and try to apply patch to my system its gives me that:
    AutoPatch error:

This patch is not compatible with your on-site release:
    patch's intended release version and

So i decide to apply autoconfig patch 7237313 for r12, so i source r12 env file and then start path end its ended wihtout error
After i try to create context file by using this command again:
    perl adbldxml.pl tier=db appsuser=apps appspasswd=apps jtop=/u01/VIS/visdb/10.2.0/jre/1.4.2
and have still same error :(

    DESC "MyTableName"
