Paste Profile Mismatch Error, but Spaces are the same

Hi!
I'm continuing to get this error:
But as you can see the Source and the Working are the same RGB.  I ignore the error, and most of the time it pastes just fine.  However, sometimes it crashes my Photoshop and the error seems to be occurring more frequently.  I'm running Yosemite and have Photoshop CS6.
Thanks!

It stated the destination document is Generic RGB Profile. I use a PC My pop-up only shows two Source and Destination.  It looks like Mac may also show your color setting default Working color space. Perhaps one of the document opened has a Generic RGB profile and you color setting are set to preserve the documents profile and not to prompt if different then your working profile.

  • How to set PS for the most reliable image previews and how to make sure the color spaces are the same across plateforms

I've been having an ongoing problem with some of my images changing color/luminance values after merging or flattening an image. This seems to most often happen if I use one of the filters (like crosshatch or notepaper, not sharpen or blur). I can make a copy using command/option/shift + E which most often will look exactly like what's on screen.
Some people have suggested that it's to do with resolution, PS showing me a low resolution image but I don't think so because the histogram changes -- sometimes in a big way, but most often those spikes in the luminance levels are shaved off. Also, when I have the image open at 100% and effect a merge/flatten, the color changes.
I'd like to know if there's a way to have PS show me one for one what I'm working on while I'm working on it, or if there is a way to control the color profiles when I'm saving. My best guess at this point is that there is a color profile mismatch going on somewhere. I just don't know where to look for it.
    Typically I work in 16 bit, so my color space is set to ProPhoto RGB; my camera is set to the Adobe color space;
    color management policies are set to preserve color profiles;
conversion options --> intent is set to relative colorimetric.

But it is calibrated. I use Xrite 1 and update it every month (on the first).
The colors can be really off. Here's an example.
    https://flic.kr/p/r6A1Zd (what I want) https://flic.kr/p/qc5QTD (not what I want)
Also, I can't see how the bit depth will have any effect since the change in color happens in PS when I merge or flatten. It's 8 bit through the editing and 8 bit when I flatten it.
Have you any suggestions on what I can do on the computer side?

  • "paste profile mismatch" ... what rendering intent is used?

When using edit > convert to profile... one can choose 1 of 4 rendering intents (Photoshop CS3).
Does anyone know which 2 of the 4 are used in the following situation ?
    paste profile mismatch
You are pasting content copied from a document with a different color profile.
    Source: (profile)
    Destination: (different profile)
What would you like to do ?
(  ) convert (preserve color appearance)
    (  ) don't convert (preserve color numbers)
My guess is that the second option uses the "absolute colorimetric" rendering intent.
But what about the first option (preserve color appearance) ? Does it use "perceptual" or "relative colorimetric" ?
And in case this issue has not been improved upon in CS4, I'd suggest that the corresponding rendering intent be mentioned in the dialog box (in addition to or instead of the "preserve..." explanation).

The first one converts using the conversion options set in your color settings, under more options. The second doesn't convert, it assigns the destination document color space. No numbers are converted, but their appearance in the new document will change as they take on a different profile.

  • Paste profile mismatch

    Hello,
I've come across a paste profile mismatch while working in illustrator cs4.  I am building a short newsletter, and placing the finished images in InDesign to print, but somehow as i've been going along, the color profile changed.  It could have been accounted to an image that I placed in the document.  But as you can see on the page on the left, somehow my swatches changed in the process.  The left page was built off of the right, so i'm not quite sure why it's doing this.  I pasted the error message as well.  I looked it up in Illustrator Help, but I have no idea what color profiles are, or what the "source", "destination", or "working" could possibly mean.  If someone could explain to me in laymans terms what illustrator is doing, and how I can fix this problem or avoid it in the future, I would appreciate it!
    Thanks

I said should not must for that reason.
Even though the printer may be more qualified to do the conversion in some cases, I find people who submit RGB files to have more problems with color consistency, neutral highlights & blacks across their brand cause every printer converts differerently. Unless you are printing to a device that is RGB like a Lambda, I recommend creating your files in CMYK when your destination printer is CMYK.

  • JDeveloper Error: White spaces are required between publicId and systemId.

    I'm using JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.
This error is occurring in a BPEL process project.
With one particular web service I have, adding a Partner Link to the BPEL generates the following compile error:
Error: White spaces are required between publicId and systemId.
I can add Partner links from other web services and the BPEL will compile fine. The main difference I can see is that this web service supports WS-Addressing.
I have found one other reference to a similar (but not exactly the same) problem elsewhere in these forums but the fix is not really applicable. All of the wsdl files pass the "Validate WSDL" operation, and I don't see anything wrong with them.
When the error occurs and I select "Go To Source" it points back to the first line of the bpel file.
Can anyone help me out on this?

    I have discovered two issues.
    1. JDeveloper does not seem to like the SOAP 1.2 envelope and encoding namespaces. Is this a known limitation? Changed them to 1.1.
    2. JDeveloper does not like the double definition of wsaDemoResult.
When these two items are changed, the bpel compiles clean. Now I've got to get the message header to populate correctly. There are no values assigned, only namespace definitions. This is the SOAP packet that is received at the web service.

I am trying to hook up my Airport Express to my current network and AirPort Extreme but keep getting the same error message: "This version of AirPort Utility doesn’t support this base station. Go to AirPort Service and Support for more information." Any thoughts?

This sounds as if you have an older AirPort Express that is no longer supported by the newer Mavericks operating system.
To check and see if  that might be the case, locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. It will start with an "A" followed by four numbers. Hard to see in the faint print.....so you may need reading glasses or a magnifying class to see the model number clearly.
Model numbers A1084 and A1088 of the AirPort Express are no longer supported by AirPort Utility in Mavericks.
You will need to use a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC to be able to administer the older AirPort Express.

The SIM is in and Sprint gave me the unlock code, but what are the steps to unlock it?

There is no such thing as an unlock code.   Sprint may have processed the unlock, and then requested you restore the iPhone using iTunes to complete it. But that's it. There is no code to enter, and nowhere to enter it any way.

  • Query database fields are the same character but not in the same order

    Hello Oracle WIZ !
I have a simple question regarding perhaps a function.
I have a columns in a database with data the could have been transpose meaning the keyer might have entered. 1234 and someone else could have come in and put 2134.
the characters are the same but the numbers are in a different order. Is there any function that would allow me to query just based on characters? hence bringing back the 1234 and 2134 rows?
    Hope this makes sense
    Thanks
    all

    Hi,
You can use CONNECT BY to re-arrange the characters in a string in ascending order, then use that value to compare strings.
For example, in the following sample data:
    CREATE TABLE     table_x
    AS
SELECT     1 AS id,     '1234' AS txt     FROM dual     UNION ALL
SELECT     2,          '4231'          FROM dual     UNION ALL
SELECT     3,          '433'          FROM dual     UNION ALL
SELECT     4,          '343'          FROM dual     UNION ALL
SELECT     5,          '431'          FROM dual     UNION ALL
    SELECT     9,          NULL          FROM dual
    ;ids 1 and 2 both have txt consisting of '1', '2', '3' and '4'.
ids 4 and 5 both have txt consisting of '3', '3' and '4'.
    There are no other matches.
    This query finds those pairs:
    WITH     cntr     AS
         SELECT     LEVEL     AS n
         FROM     dual
CONNECT BY     LEVEL <= ( SELECT  MAX (LENGTH (txt))
                           FROM        table_x
    ,     got_ordered_txt     AS
         SELECT     x.id
         ,     x.txt
         ,     MIN (SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH (SUBSTR (x.txt, c.n, 1), ','))     AS ordered_txt
         FROM     table_x     x
         JOIN     cntr     c     ON     c.n     <= LENGTH (x.txt)
         WHERE     LEVEL     = LENGTH (x.txt)
         CONNECT BY NOCYCLE     x.id     = PRIOR x.id
              AND          c.n     != PRIOR c.n
         GROUP BY     x.id
         ,          x.txt
    SELECT     a.id
    ,     a.txt
    ,     b.txt
    ,     b.id
    FROM     got_ordered_txt     a
    JOIN     got_ordered_txt     b     ON     a.id          < b.id
                        AND     a.ordered_txt     = b.ordered_txt
    ;Output:
    .       ID TXT  TXT          ID
             3 433  343           4
             1 1234 4231          2

Yes, it doesn't work. I ran in safe mode. nothing changed. I uninstalled Mozilla firefox with only standard removal, no change. I finally uninstalled Mozilla with complete removal and reinstalled it, then it return to normal. Why does this happen? Thanks for your reply.
