Patch for PHP maxdb_fetch_array($result, MAXDB_ASSOC_LOWER)

I've just discovered a bug in the PHP module for MaxDB.
Using maxdb_fetch_array() with resulttype MAXDB_ASSOC_LOWER or MAXDB_ASSOC_UPPER results in a wrong array. In fact there are two bugs.
1) With MAXDB_ASSOC_LOWER, the array index is only converted to lowercase for certain data types. Example:
["groupid"]=>  string(1)
["AMOUNT"]=>  float(0.05)
["currency"]=>  string(3) "CHF"
The field "AMOUNT" has not been converted to lowercase.
2) With MAXDB_ASSOC_LOWER or MAXDB_ASSOC_UPPER, the array is missing all elements with NULL value. Example with MAXDB_ASSOC_UPPER:
["GROUPID"]=>  string(1)
["AMOUNT"]=>  float(0.05)
["CURRENCY"]=>  string(3) "CHF"
The patched PHP module results in the correct array, like this:
["groupid"]=>  string(1)
["invoice_pos"]=>  NULL
["amount"]=>  float(0.05)
["currency"]=>  string(3) "CHF"
This patch fixes it for me [maxdb-7.6.00.38-php_assoc.patch|http://www.invoca.ch/pub/maxdb-7.6.00.38-php_assoc.patch]

Hi Alex,
Unfortunately I don't have an idea what is wrong in your case. But what I know is that I also found bugs in the php maxdb extension and it may well be that you have found a bug too. Maybe it's just a question of different types of float, maybe the types you use does not map between maxdb and php. Just a wild guess because I'm far from being en expert on this.
I have put the patches I'm using in my rpms here [PHP MaxDB patches|http://www.invoca.ch/pub/packages/maxdb/] they are from the bugtracker at pecl.php.net and maxdb-7.6.00.38-php_assoc.patch is the one I created after I found a bug.
I don't really think one of those patches will help in your case but you may want to try it anyways.
BTW, the link will only be valid today.

Simon

  • ADDT 1.0.1 Compatibility Patch for PHP 5.3

    It doesn't appear this link to Interakt's PHP 5.3 patch for ADDT 1.0.1 has been posted here yet.
    LINK: http://www.interaktonline.info/files/47-ADDT-1.0.1---PHP-5.3-compatibility-patch.html
    If you have trouble having the download dialog box open like I did, just right click on the Download File and save as.
    I had over a dozen websites developed with ADDT and this patched fix all my PHP 5.3 issues.
    I simply uploaded and replaced the 18 files that come in the patched zip.
    There is also a step-by-step guide on how to update the files on your own if you rather do that.
    GUIDE: http://www.interaktonline.info/article/42-Making-Adobe-Dreamweaver-Developer-Toolbox-compa tible-with-PHP-5.3.html

    The flavor of the Microsoft SQL Server Driver for PHP that you enabled in the php.ini file is the Thread Safe VC6 version. Therefore, you’ll need to install the appropriate version of PHP run-time (i.e. VC6 x86 Thread Safe) from http://windows.php.net/download/.
    When installing PHP, you should select the IIS/FastCGI option, and then establish a mapping between IIS and php-cgi.exe. In other words, your IIS configuration should point to the PHP CGI executable and not php5.dll that happens to be the Non Thread-Safe PHP run-time.
    Moreover, the library ntwdblib.dll is not needed anymore.
    On final note: it might be worth upgrading your IIS to at least version 6.0 that was optimized for FastCGI usage.
    Hope this helps,

  • Support for PHP 4 coming to an end - implications for DW

    This is a copy of a post I sent to the Dreamweaver
    Application
    Development forum, but it's relevant to many people here,
    too. Apologies
    if you have already read it.
    Today (13 July 2007) is the third anniversary of the release
    of PHP 5.
    To mark this occasion, the PHP development team has announced
    that
    support for PHP 4, except for critical security fixes, will
    be
    discontinued on 31 December. Furthermore, even critical
    security fixes
    for PHP 4 will cease on 8 August 2008 (8/8/08). You are urged
    to move to
    PHP 5.2 as soon as practicable.
    As far as PHP code generated by Dreamweaver MX 2004, DW8, and
    DW CS3 is
    concerned, this change will have NO effect. The code runs
    without
    problem on PHP 5.2, and should continue to run even when PHP
    6 is
    eventually released.
    Code generated by Dreamweaver MX should be upgraded to run on
    PHP 5.2,
    as it uses deprecated predefined variables, such as
    $HTTP_POST_VARS
    (instead of $_POST). Although PHP 5.2 can be configured to
    support the
    deprecated variables, they will NOT be supported in PHP 6, so
    it's a
    good idea to start planning ahead.
    If you're on shared hosting, the likelihood is that your
    server still
    runs PHP 4. Now is the time to start pressuring your hosting
    company to
    commit to upgrade to PHP 5.2. There's no need to panic,
    because there
    will be security patches for another year; but after that,
    any host
    still running PHP 4 will leave you potentially open to
    security risks.
    A lot of people worry that switching from PHP 4 to PHP 5 will
    result in
    broken sites. For the vast majority of people, it won't. When
    I switched
    three years ago, I didn't need to change a single line of
    code. The only
    people who are likely to face problems are those using very
    old code or
    object-oriented PHP.

  • AAC/MPEG-4 support patch for abcde

    I got bored to day and made up this patch for abcde that adds support for AAC using the M4A extension.
    It uses FAAC as the encoder and also patches abcde to version 2.2.3
    I have not tested it yet so bear with me...i'll post my test results later.
    You'll have to manually add the "M4AENCOPTS=" variable to the config
    usage is: abcde -o m4a
    UPDATED: fixed a plethora of typos
    another side note is the fact FAAC must be compiled with mpeg-4 support, the Archlinux package for FAAC isn't, so therefore this could be a problem unless you compile FAAC yourself. I submitted a feature request to get mp4 support added.
    the following is the 2.2.0 to 2.2.3 update+AAC patch. I will submit a AAC patch for the newest release to the developers of abcde later on.

  • Patch for modbin6-1.00.38.exe is out.. "2MBIOS.BIN can't open!" Solved.

    Hi mates,
    ive decide to make a patch for modbin6 1.00.38 to improve stability and minise risk of modding the BIOS. for users which is reading this post if never heard about MODBIN better avoid reading below. its nice program for basic BIOS mod, simple to use, but very danger in the same time couse mess with BIOS and inproperty using may couse disaster. im not gona advert or to invite persons to use it. just wana make this program to be used normally to bring stability and minise risk of making corrupted BIOSes.. for persons which is already using it and have experience with him or with person Enthu which is wana try it and they dont worry if mobo may caouse for trash. there is 2 reasons to making this patch.
       1. couse sometimes im using it there is features on it wchich gives basic stuffs, unlocking hidden features locked by manifacturer(sometimes really usefull especially for DIMM Vcore..). so there is a nasty bug on it which gona explain later. most of persons who is using MODBIN know about it. so that patch will spend me alot of time and minimise risk of mistake during avoiding bug couse operation need several procedure and automatised will risk free and much fastern.
       2. to bring ability for most stable operations to persons which is already using it when need.
    but lets talk about the patch. everyone know that nasty issue with MODBIN(made it by Borg N1,part from his collection). bug is program wont safe BIOS file  and quiting with Abnormal program termination.... gives this one message: !!!File
    2MBIOS.BIN can't open!Thanks for using ModBin6 1.00.38  how nice ...
    here is Borg N1 advices:
    Quote from: Borg Number One on 16-July-05, 05:24:51
    Hi.
    It is a kind of sad fact that many users just know how to use the mouse and keyboard.
    Well, you have to configure your config.sys (Win9x/ME) or config.nt to run MODBIN6
    (e.g. MODBIN6 2.01.01 (06/25))
    in Windows prompt/console without problems.
    The " FILES " & " BUFFERS " values are the important values.

    http://bnobtc.pix-art.com
    Borg advices is good but unfortuanly doesnt fix that bug... seems author dont have much idea why this is happend...error is constant ... Pure DOS also can't help... i wana add few more tips to the Borg's ones to improve stability when using  modbin, after that will talking about patch.
    TIP: navigate to this folder and open config.nt file:  %SystemRoot%\system32\config.nt
    at the end of file add this ones:
    dos=high, umb
    device=%SystemRoot%\system32\himem.sys /CPUCLOCK:ON /HMAMIN=64
    FILES=40
    BUFFERS=40
    STACKS=9,256            -----> Preserving 039A-045Eh   3,152   Sys  039Ah Stacks, 0552h DOSX
    Also MODBIN doesnt work well with long filenames.... etc "document and settings\my profile\desktp\modblabla" if not gona work property and there is a big chance of failure will load but after saving will have problems to update BIOS "core"(original.tmp) so always use 8.3 syntax standart .... best way from root directory make subdir whcih name to no NOT exceed 8 symbols... etc C:\123,C:\MYFLASH,C:\ROFL
    without TIPs it is really big gamble with BIOS....
    Aslo that will prevent Stack Overflow error when BIOS is loading....
    NOTE: To activate changes just quit from any DOS interpretators like(4nt,command.com,cmd and so on). and re-run it. Reboot OS is not requred.
    here how to do:
    Also when executing MODBIN put below executable file this ones without quotes "loadfix forcedos modbin6-1.00.38.exe"
    and ofcourse nasty error is waiting us... "2MBIOS.BIN can't open!Thanks for using ModBin6 1.00.38"
    Patch which iv maked gona RIP this error forever.

    What patch need? and how to use it? I named patch "Dynamic Patch for modbin" Couse isnt make modification on MODBIN program but momory his parent process when is loaded into memory.
    tips suggested below is recommended but not nesecery for the patch.. patch need MODBIN and your BIOS file (modbin6-1.00.38.exe and mybios.bin) to be copied to systemroot drive(usually C) in folder MSI etc put modbin6-1.00.38.exe and mybios.bin(BIOS which you gona mod) to C:\MSI
    Patch make checking if folder doesnt match will not continue....
    How to use it..... Copy modbin6-1.00.38.exe and mybios.bin to C:\MSI, then from command prompt navigate to C:\MSI and execute "loadfix forcedos modbin6-1.00.38.exe" after that load your BIOS file... when loading is complete navigate to your patch folder and execute patchMSI.exe.... takes 10 seconds to complete after that make active "white" window and enter "Q" then hit ENTER key both windows will be closed, after that return to your modbin window, make what you gona make and save BIOS file like normal procedure... Method is founded and tested by me from years below never let me down(never brings corrupted BIOS), but just today ive made patch couse was too lazy... also Borg's MODBIN can work with most of all chipsets which is using AWARD Modular based... NOTE: K9 isnt tested. the most of here you can view how exacly to do it and differents with and without patch:
    here is one more think some time maybe usefull from me:D
    Here is 1st little short trick:(no analog anywhere, like patch only here can be found if accepted):
    How to reset BIOS if you have nothink? Examples if you are administrator/PC-support or any and must fix same PC but the BIOS has an password?! And you dont have permision to open Case to reset CMOS(couse PC has an sticker with Warantly (and removing that sticker couse lost pc warrantly) You need access to BIOS to re-check,configure somethink there but its password protected. anyway there could be many situation. what we need? nothink special just bootable DOS(or analog- PC-DOS or whatever,doesnt matter where will boot(cd,flash disk,hdd)), no extended commands.[io.sys(jo.sys),command.com] - files requred to boot Here we go:
    boot from desired device.when you see command prompt etc.: "A:\,C:\"
    We will write a program without any languich..directly in PC code..(without compilator), direct in machine code.
    write this:
    copy con ffs.com|ffs          *comment None
    176.230p144144230q195     *comment Hold "ALT" and write number
    ^Z                                  *comment "CTRL+Z" then hit "Enter"
    Explain:
    copy(internal command)
    con (command line switch)
    ^Z (CTRL+Z)
    NOTE: Numbers in second line must be written with holdon "ALT" key and specified numbers.(ASCI Code). Non numbers symbols is normal keyboard selection. on input display should look like:
    copy con ffs.com|ffs
    ░.цpРРцq├
    ^Z
    Program is 9 bytes long... (simple but high effective)
    Thats it.Reboot Computer... password is gone. CMOS is reseted to default values. Tested on Award 4.0,6.0, AMI BIOS. Break all..
    and finaly again:
    **To All readers of this thread: Please note that this thread is with regards to Self-Modding BIOS and are of NO Official Testings from MSI. MSI will not be responsible for ANY Damage caused from requesting these self modded BIOSes! Please mind that you'll ONLY request and flash AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!** also MODBIN Author(Borg N1) and me is dont are NOT  responsible for ANY Damage caused by MODBIN or Add On Patch. (i didnt think there is risk exit must must said that warning....couse playing with BIOS is always risky). Happy Tweaking.

    Well, I was wondering if the system not allowing the tty to change ownership -- but root also has the problem.
    You might try checking which shell is set for your users in /etc/passwd, and then check that the shell really exists at the specified path, and that it is executable.  You might also check that the home directory for you users (also specified in /etc/passwd) is mounted and your user has the appropriate rights to that directory.
    Other than that, I am running out of altitude, airspeed and ideas all at the same time.  There was one thing in your trace I did not understand.  Why is your system looking to the floppy drive?  I wonder if that is contributing to the problem.

  • Apache in FMS 4 Developer vs XAMPP Environment for PHP

    1.  Have a Flash Webpage under development designed to permit preview and streaming of FLV video.  Downloaded FMS Developer as a test server on my computer.  Apache 2.2 loads with it with a checkbox option to install it or not. I'm able to stream my video OK in this setup using RTMP://localhost and the FLVPlayback component in Flash Pro.  I like some of the OSMF players better like the one in the FMS Start Screen, but I haven't been able to integrate/embed it into my Flash webpage using the HTML provided.  They say just paste it to the webpage, but in ActionScript how do you do that?  None of the online help really explains how to embed Strobe Media Player into an FLA webpage using their HTML.
    2.  I plan to use PayPal Express Checkout for Digital Goods (EC/DG) as my pay facility on the Flash webpage. My videos will play to a cuepoint and then jump to a PayPal button which executes (EC/DG) .  I'm having trouble integrating PayPal with my Flash webpage.  There's a lot of online help, but most solutions involve PHP.  To help me understand PHP I bought the e-book, "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 for PHP" which recommends downloading the XAMPP platform which contains Apache, PHP, MySQL etc.  I have several questions concerning this:  (a) If I use the XAMPP software, as recommended in the Dreamweaver book, do I have to first uninstall the Apache that comes with FMS? I assume you can't have two Apache's running at the same time. (b) Is FMS the Server or is Apache the server in the FMS installation? (c) Does the Apache software installed with FMS include PHP and MySQL, which seems to be required for any server-side coding?
    You can see by some of these questions that I'm new to all this Server stuff.  I'm doing it myself because I can't afford to pay the $400 to $500 a month for a Video Streaming Host.  I want to use FMS with Amazon Web Services to implement my Streaming Video Project, but I'm not sure I can do it with all the problems I'm encountering.  Anybody know any "reasonable" developers?   ;-)
    Two final questions:
    3.  Why would I need Flash Builder if I have Dreamweaver?  Don't they do essentially the same thing?
    4.  Can I do everything I'm trying to do in 1 and 2 above just using ActionScript and JavaScript, which I understand is just Server-side ActionScript?
    I appreciate any help you can give me on any one or all of these issues.  Thanks
    Joel Cotten

    1. backup your applications folder, fms.ini and any other config files that you have changed in the FMS install directory.
    2. uninstall FMS
    3. reinstall FMS and uncheck the option to install the bundled apache webserver . FMS should be installed on a seperate server as apache. Flashplayer uses port 80 and it  Will conflict adobe apparently bundles apache to be used as demo. I have never gotten PHP and all its modules such as gd to work on their version of apache. reinstall you applications folder and fms.ini(any thing else you backed up)
    4. install apache 2.2,PHP,PHP PEAR(if you ever want to send mail)  install  mysql and mysql workbench on the server machine.
    5. create a text document and change hide known file extensions in the windows folder options so you can change the text files extension to .html(myEmbedFile.html) paste the html provided into this file put it on the webserver and browse to it.
    Resources to keep in mind.
    1. You can use any desktop machine running windows that is has at least 512 mb of ram as development machine. I have installed all the above mentioned servers on desktop machines. I currently use a single quad core destop for all my delvelopment needs and because its a devlopment machine i took port 80 out of fms.ini and installed IIS,Mysql and FMS on it. Keep in mind if you are using windows 7 that you can install apache and PHP on it but I could not get GD (php graphics module) to install on it an currently use IIS. If you do all of this on Linux its not a problem but you may have to find a patch for FMS to get it to install.
    2. if you want to attach your ip adderess to a domain name use dyn.dns their client will autochange your IP address if your ISP gives you a new one or you change a nic card or for any other reason.
    You should do everything I've described above to be able to learn and create apps as effiecently and with as little hassle as possible.
    You can use a package such as  XAMPP to which will install all the above servers but i prefer to do it one by one and use config files without a config manager and I think its easier to install any sever modules I might want to use in the future to expand my development websites. Your choice though.

  • Sol 9 smpatch missing some patch names from analyze results

    when running smpatch analyze -x idlist=patches_to_analyze (which contains 9 patches), some of the results are missing their names:

    112963-25 SunOS 5.9: linker patch
    112785-56 X11 6.6.1: Xsun patch
    Is this common?
    I know that it's working, since it's returning more than the 9 that went in, but I'd like to get the info for every patche returned by the analysis.

    Neither of the three patches without descriptions above are listed in the patchdb.zip file. As such there is no metadata available for them. I assume then that they must be listed in the requirements of one or more of the other patches.
    Anyway, the reason ther is no descriptions is that they are not listed in the patchdb.zip file and as such no metadata is available to be presented.

    I think a security task force should be initiated (I know discussions existed, but I don't know what were the consequences), so that important packages (like those providing services) could be updated in a timely manner. This is a minor issue as I stated earlier, but it could be worse. Those interested, let's initiate a discussion with the developers of important packages and try to get some things working. People (mostly trusted users) who can generate early packages are welcome, so that they can provide early versions of unvulnerable packages.

    ckristi wrote:I don't know about other packages, but I believe when I checked the PKGBUILD for PHP, that the security fix was included in 5.2.7.
    Check http://repos.archlinux.org/viewvc.cgi/p … iew=markup for more info.
    And don't get me wrong, I am a little bit concerned about the way vulnerabilities are treated in Arch, 'cause my home server is running this distro.
    And I really would think we should start some serious discussions about this security issues and the way they should be treated. I know the developers are doing their best and I'm not going to put fingers at all. They should be helped in maintaining packages for important services. We'll benefit from it and their tasks would be easier.
    Why don't you start a wiki page tracking the latest vulnerabilities disclosed on various security mailing lists which are not fixed in arch. This will make it much easier for the devs.
    This thing has been already discussed multiple times and already a wiki page exists for Arch Security Team but it seems nobody followed up with that.

  • BFS patch for 2.6.35 (git linus kernel)

    Con Kolivas mantains a great patch for the linux kernel (check it out: http://ck.kolivas.org/patches/bfs/)
    However he can't port the patch every while to the latest kernel, so he often waits for stable releases.
    Since I really need to use 2.6.35 and don't want to miss BFS, I have ported his patch to 2.6.35, here is the result:
    http://www.iragan.com/linux/unofficial-BFS/
    Please notice that this is not guaranteed to work, although I am using it right now without any glitch.
    Enjoy!

    BFS patch doesn't work anymore on latest kernel (it has been some week now); I suppose there is some new subsystem which needs an adapted counterpart in the BFS patch.
    The system stucks some time during D-BUS initialization and the hangup is basically due to timers never releasing (some preemption issue?)
    Edit: Con Kolivas has provided a patch for 2.6.35 on 7 August, check it out. However it doesn't work because misses the fixes for slow-work.c and oom_kill.c

  • Has someone applied the one off patch for-ONS bug 5749953 SIGBUS ERROR

    Hello all,
    Env:: 10g on Soalris
    I need to apply the one-off patch for
    Bug:5749953 -- ONS SIGBUS ERROR AFTER INSTALL PATCHSET 10.2.0.3 FOR CRS
    Usually for any CPU we issue opatch apply from the patch directory.
    and its mentioned in the readme.html as well.
    But for this one off patch, there isn't anything mentioned in the readme.html.
    All it says is
    #  6. Patch the Files
    #    6.1 Patch the CRS home files
    #    After unlocking any protected files and saving configuration settings
    #    you are now ready to run opatch using the following command.
    #    As the Oracle Clusterware (CRS) software owner;
    #    % opatch apply -local -oh <CRS_HOME>
    #    Note: In configuration A, invoke this only on one node.
    #    6.2 Patch the RDBMS home files.
    #    Alert: The RDBMS portion can only be applied to an RDBMS home that
    #          has been upgraded to 10.2.0.3.0.
    #    For additional information please read Note.363254.1;
    #    Applying one-off Oracle Clusterware patches in a mixed version home
    #    environment
    #    As the RDBMS software owner;
    #    % opatch apply custom/server/5749953 -local -oh <RDBMS_HOME>
    #    Note: In configuration A, invoke this only on one node.Could someone let me know from where i should give 'opatch apply' if patch.zip files are unzipped in /export/home/oracle/5749953  ? TIA,
    JJ

    The patch can always be installed in 2 ways.
    1. Do a cd and then run opatch
    cd <patchlocation>
    opatch apply
    2. Else specify the patch location as an argument
    opatch apply <full path to the patch i.e the one you do cd above> ...
    Both the above styles yield same result.

    I am trying to install this sap connector.
    It's easy but no simple to find the good version running together.
    My configuration below :
    Windows XP Pro SP2
    IIS 5.1 on port 80
    Apache 2.054 on port 8080

    Saprfc 1.4.1 for php 5.1.1
    I use the binaries distributions for each product.
    I have no issue, i hope, to load php_saprfc.dll module: i have no error message when Apache is starting.
    The test file index.php is running nice and display the environment to screen, BUT I DON'T FIND SAPRFC MODULE.
    If some of you have a idea, thanks for your help.
    If its usefull i have no issue to send us my files httpd.conf and php.ini.

    Hi Everybody,
    I want test the connector saprfc with php on two technical environments bellow:
    - Windows XP SP2 Professional, IIS 5.1, php 5.11 or 512
    - Windows XP SP2 Professional, Apache 2.054, php 5.11 or 512
    Windows XP is running on C: .
    IIS 5.1 is running on port 80, and Apache 2.054 on port 8080.
    I have build a development workspace on H: .
    The directory tree has this structure:
    H
    Apache2054
    Apache2
    Php511
    ext
    sessions
    includes
    Php512
    ext
    sessions
    includes
    saprfc141-511
    WebDev
    Sessions
    I have downloaded binaries of Apache 2.054, Php 5.11 and 512 and his Pecl 5.11 and 512 and Saprfc 141 511.
    I have uncompressed :
    Php 5.11 under H:\php511,
    Pecl 5.11 under H:\php511\ext,
    Php 5.12 under H:\php512,
    Pecl 5.12 under H:\php512\ext,
    Apache 2.054 under H:\Apache2054,
    SapRfc 1.4.1 5.1.1 under H:\saprfc141-511
    My first step is run php on IIS in isapi mode. It’s successful.
    The command localhost:80//Index.php display correctly echo phpinfo().
    My second step is install saprfc requirements:
    Copy:
    php_saprfc.dll in H:\Php511\ext
    php_saprfc.dll in H:\Php512\ext
    librfc32.dll up to date in C:\Windows\System32
    Verify msvcp60.dll up to date is in C:\Windows\System32.
    Modify php.ini:
    Include_path = “.;H:\Php511\includes;H:\Php511\pear”
    Extension_dir =”H:\Php511\ext”
    Include_path = “.;H:\Php512\includes;H:\Php512\pear”
    Extension_dir =”H:\Php512\ext”
    Extension=php_mbstring.dll
    Extension=php_gd2.dll
    Extension= php_saprfc.dll
    Extension=php_soap.dll
    Extension=php_mysql.dll
    To run php 5.11 or php 5.12 I modify the system path and configuration in WebServer
    The results with php 5.11 are :
    With IIS 5.1 no loading error message, echo phpinfo() running nice, but no display the saprfc module.
    With APACHe 2.054 loading error message the same twice for php_saprfc.dll
    The results with php 5.12 are :
    With IIS 5.1 no loading error message, echo phpinfo() running nice, but no display the saprfc module.
    With APACHe 2.054 no loading error message, echo phpinfo() running nice, but no display the saprfc module
    If some of you have an idea what is wrong or forget at this point, thanks to help me.

    GumasYou need to apply the patch driver u3944888.drv using adpatch like any other patch.
