Payment terms maintenance vs define terms of payment for installment.
Dear all,
In Payment terms we can maintain installment payments then what is the need for Maintaining installment payments again.
I am not understanding the functionality any body please explain with example.

Hi,
Firstly. Terms of payment are maintained through OBB8 and if the terms of payment is in instalment basis, additionally you also need to tick the instalment payment checkbox and save. Secondly, go to Tcode OBB9 and for the instalment terms of payment maintain the required data like instalment, %ge, and payment term to be applied for each instalment. For ex : the payment term 0017 is in 3 instalments, first maintain the same in OBB8 and then go to Tcode OBB9 and maintain the data as shown below. To test the correctness of the same post the vendor transaction and check the results.

payment
0017 1 30.000 0001
0017 2 40.000 0001
0017 3 30.000 0001

- the terms of payment is not marked for customer.

Payment term field is not appearing in Payment tab in MIRO

While doing MIRO transaction, I could not find Payment Term filed in Payment tab. for Purchase order created and it contains payment term.
for other company codes, Payment term is coming.

open t code : OB41 - select 31 double client on posting key - click on maintain field status and click on payment transaction - their your have to select Payment term - Optional entry
then it will come in MIRO

As in STD. 3 installments we can maintain.

you can use T. code OBB8 & OBB9 to create payment terms for installment planning.
1. Create Payment terms in OBB8 and Assign the payment terms created in OBB9.
2. I don't think there is any restriction on number payment terms you can create and assign. You can create and assign as many to meet your requirement.

Installment payment :-This is nothing but when vendor will pay no .of terms
Funtionally we can use for both T.codes OBB8,OBB9

Would you please help me with the message below. It appears on F110 when I try to pay a vendor open item with extended withholding tax:

In my company payment orders are created in F110 for accounts payable, as we use another ERP system (Baan) to perform the local accounts payments, and now I've just activated Extended withholding tax functionality With accumulation (necessary in Brazil) but I get this error.
Is it not possible to user payment order with extended withholding tax + accumulation? I find it hard to believe...
I've tried to unflag the payment order only for the payment method I'm using in FBZP t.code, but then no payment order were created but instead a payment document were posted with the withholding tax accumulation, but this is not the way we are working, and nothing is sent to Baan

For a withholding tax type with accumulation in a company code with extended withholding tax payment
methods that create only payment orders can´t be used. Payment orders can only be created only if there are
no tax types with accumulation involved in the paid items of the payment run.
The functionality extended withholding tax works fine for Brazil
however, you can´t use the payment order with this functionality.
Please, review your customizing for payment method 'Y" in transaction
FBZP.

Hey Guys, I'm configuring Withholding Tax for a company. I know the purpose for defining the withholding tax type for invoice posting, but do understand where is the Withholding tax type for payment posting used? Is it used for advance(down) payment or something else?

In some countries there is requirement that you need to deducted Withholding tax either at time of Invoice or payment which ever is ealier . so if you get Invoice first then you deduct the Withholding tax on Invoice and define the tax type and assign to company . but if you make paymnet first which we called advance or down payment then we configure Withholding tax on payment .
If a vendor is liable for withholding tax on invoice it may be liable for payment as well if you think you may pay some advances .

On the analysis, the system expects an entry in the T059Q table with
code as XX.
The reason being in the extended withholding tax we use multiple
witholding tax codes and these entries are stored in the table
with_item. And in BSEG we populate the field withholding tax code i.e.
BSEG-QSSKZ with the value 'XX'. In classical withholding tax we used to
store the code directly which is not possible with Extended withholding
tax.
As the field BSEG-QSSKZ refers to the values in the table T059Q-QSSKZ
the entry 'XX" needed in this table for the corresponding country of the
company code to maintain the correct relationship and consistent
database information.
Hence for the statistical purpose and for the internal calculations we
need an entry in the table T059Q. Could you please maintain this code
i.e. 'XX' also in the table T059Q in a test system? Then retest your issue.
This should resolve your issue.

Best practice for long term maintenance ??
still busy with the long term maintenance requirement.
when maintaining a building my client wants to register the following
- long term maintenance (like 15 till 25 years)
- short term is already in preventive maintenance
- the long term maintenance must be related to specific activitities which contains keyfigures (the keyfigures are obtained from third party libraries which can be used to calculate the estimate cost for a certain acitivity when multiplied with for instance the surface area of the object)
- for the costplanning a report should calculate the estimated costs derived from the keyfigures
- the long term planning should be easy to manage and activities easily be changed in time
is there anything already at hand or an example where long term maintenance like this is implemented ?? I can't see how I can get above requirements in for instance preventive maintenance ??

Payment Rule maintenance per currency in Bank Communication Management
Hi,
We have maintained Rules for Payment Grouping in Bank Communication Management based on amount limits. The basic currency we expected is GBP so we have the same set of amount limits for all Company Codes until now.
We've now introduced a new Company Code which makes payments in USD. We'd like the same amount limits to be used for payments from this Company Code too.
Eg: We have a rule for amount range from 100K to 150K. If the payment is in GBP the rule gets picked up if the payment amount is between 100K GBP and 150K GBP.
Now if a USD payment is made of 130K USD, the above rule gets picked up. We would like to see that the GBP equivalent of 130K USD... i.e. 205K USD is considered as the amount and a suitable rule is picked up.
How do we achieve this in the rule definitions? I see that the Currency field limits the rule to be considered only for payments made in one currency. Is there a way of associating the amount limits to a base currency so that other currency payments will get converted against this currency and be evaluated?
Would appreciate any help in this regard as we're at a loss currently.

SharePoint search using Term-IDs doesn't work as expected for various document types and items
If items or documents are tagged with managed metadata terms from the term store (no social tags, but pre-defined terms), you can find this content later on (after crawler has finished) using the following URL query:

The guid is the term ID (from the term store).
Issue:
That works great for office documents. It seems to be not working for several file types like txt, zip, aspx (inside page libraries) etc. All file types are generally registered with search crawler and are found correctly using the normal search, e.g. for
the term name or other content. It also not works for me with custom lists that are tagged with a term.
Questions:
1. Is using this type of search url a documented and advised feature, to find content that is tagged with terms?
2. How to setup search to find this items and documents consistently with "normal" search AND by term ID?

SharePoint contents tagged with managed metadata Terms can be searched by doing a search on “TermName”, and the search result could be refined by managed metadata. Please ensure your SharePoint site content source was crawled and Managed Metadata
Service Application was running. Personally, using a TermID involved in the URL to search items tagged with metadata isn’t advisable due to difficulties when manipulating a ID number.

It is quite simple and below is the required explanation.
Generate Comparison Terms:- This is used to generate comparison terms up for comparison with Business Partners after the exclusion of various exception terms like aliases etc . to get a proper term for comparison.
Evaluate Comparison Terms:- This feature is used to define how much percentage a particular search term should fulfill to qualify for comparison.
Aggregate Comparison Terms:- This is used to keep the aggregate and keep the comparison terms handy for ready reference against Business Partners during SPL check. This drastically increases the system performance.
The real meaning of the above terms will be more clear when you will go inside each of these areas and check what it is doing.

Payment Method field in F-48 Down Payment

I'm trying to enable the the Payment Method field in transaction F-48 ( Down Payment ). I'm trying to find the field status variant under
FInancial Acc -> AR and AP -> Business Transactions -> Down Payment Made -> Make and Check Document Settings -> Define Field Status Variants.
But Im unable to find one for field Payment Method.

I think the payment method field is not avaiable in f-48. when you clear down payment against invoice the system does not clear the down payment document and invoice document automatically, you can only see the balance figure how much is left after clearing. Both the documents will be under open condition.
you can manually clear the down payment document or you can clear the down payment and invoice balance when you run APP. For automatic payment you must specify an incoming payment method in the parameters tab for payment methods (specify both incoming and outgoing payment methods), then run APP the system automatically clears the down payment document

Automatic Payment proposals when run, currently picks up all amounts including little cents like , 0.35. The payment method is Check and this involves cutting cheques for very small amounts.
How to restrict the program from picking up amounts say for eg , between 0 and $10 ..? Is there any settings we can use for this..?

Is there a way to restrict it for some payments alone..? Here the problem is there are Vendor payments and GST payments and we want to restrict it only for vendor payments involving smaller amounts.

Unfortunately there is no BAPI for payment detals and other company code data. The only possibility is via direct input (external data transfer).
Please have a look at the following Easy-Access-path:
SAP Menu
-> Accounting
-> Bank Applications
-> Loans Management
-> Environment
-> External Data Transfer
Within this menu entry you find diverse functions. Please start the function KCLJ to transfer data. Before you can do this you need to
prepare the transfer by creating your own transfer structure and so on. You can get further information on what to do here by navigating to
"Help > Application help" within transaction KCLJ. From here you get to the right area of SAP library.
