PAYMENT TO VENDOR / DIFFERENT UNIT

hi gurus,
I have following shenario. I have a material having unit of measure PC (piece). there is no purchase order unit.but in material master in additional data it is  maintained 1 dozen equal to 12 piece.
I create a purchase order having unit as PC (quantity 1200 piece), than i receive goods from vendor (1200 piece). now I want to pay to my vendor dozen wise. i,e i have to pay for 100 DZ not for 1200 PC.
Is it possible to do so? can you help me how  to do this??
plz help me out.
regards.
raghu.

Hi
You  created a purchase order having unit as PC (quantity 1200 piece), than i receive goods from vendor (1200 piece). now I want to pay to my vendor dozen wise. i,e i have to pay for 100 DZ not for 1200 PC.
For this You have maintained the PC as Base unit in Material master and in the Basic data screen going to addtional tab and in the tab unit of measure maintain the conversion Unit.
Now when you are creating PO the you need to enter  Order Price Unit (Purchasing)
as Dozen and save the PO.
When you do the GR then you will recive based Purchase Order Unit of Measure
i.e PC and invoice will be based on the Order Price Unit (Purchasing).
Further you can also make use of the Order unit feild in the Purchase order and use variable unit active .
then you can make PO.
Important note :
>If you create a purchase order with reference to a preceding document (purchase order, contract or request for quotation), the system copies the order unit from the preceding document
The Var. OUn (Variable order unit) indicator must not be selected in the purchasing info record.
>. When the purchasing info record for the combination of vendor and material exists, the system copies the order unit from the purchasing info record.
If you create a purchase order with reference to a purchase requisition and the Var. OUn is not selected in the purchasing info record, the system copies the order unit from the purchase requisition.
>If you create a normal purchase order, the system copies the order unit from the material master.

  • Payment terms for different products from a single vendor

    Hi Pundits,
Our client has a requirement to assign different payment terms for different products. Each product he buys from his vendor has it's own payment terms. He wants us to customize in such a way that when he/user enters the invoice, not only the vendor number is shown along with the product name but also the payment terms for that particular product are calculated.
I know that only one payment term can be assigned in the vendor master data. Is there anyway to get around this?
Creating the same vendor multiple times and assign payment terms looks a possible option but that looks quite hectic cause he has close to 1000 payment terms.

Taurian, thank you for that suggestion!
I can maintain as many existing payment terms as the client has with his vendors and let him choose the payment terms at the time of invoice entry.
The only problem is that he might have to change it according to the current market rates for that product. So maintaining any payment term is of little use.

  • Report for conversion payment of vendor against grn quantity.

    Dear all,
In our scenario, we are doing conversion payment of vendor against SCO (subcontracting order) on the basis of GRN quantity. But,  I am unable to found that how much conversion payments are pending  against grn quantity in one month. Is there any report to found or any other process except  through purchase order history of any order. Plz help me.
    Thanks & regards
    Rahul

    HI,
first thing payment not update in Po history and its sap standard.because you pay give payment to vendor against two different PO.
for that you have to open MIRO means invoice document and check in that clearance document is there or not.
if clearance document means payment is done.in report ME80FN  execute  that report and then select change icon from header
    and then select Po history
now you will get report PO-MIGO-MIRO
now click on miro then open account document and check clearing document there for invoice .

    Hi
A warehouse can contain stocks owned by variousconsignment vendors. Settlement is based on the
material withdrawn from the consignment stock. As a result, Inventory Management and Invoice
Verification must fulfill special requirements. To support the procurement process for consignment
material, you can define conditions for consignment processing that are valid for specific periods. You
can enter these conditions in foreign currencies and include alternative units of mea-sure. For inventory
postings (for example, postings made for deliveries,  good issues, confirmations for run schedule headers) and in the relevant preparatory phases, the system can suggest the stocks from which to withdraw  material. In the strategies used for stock selection, you can have the system take both your
company’s own stock as well as the vendor consi gnment stock into consideration. The R/3 System provides enhanced functionality for settling consignment liabilities. To make the process more transparent to the vendor, you can create consignment settlement documents and send them
    to the vendor.

  • Terms of payment in vendor master

Can we have different terms of payment in vendor master? if yes what is the use of it?

you can have payment terms at company code level and payment terms at purchasing org level.
Company code level payment terms come into the game if finance posts invoices for which you do not have any purchase order.
In a purchase order the payment terms from purchasing org view are taken.
2fields are needed because vendors like a restaurant may not need purchasing views, you never create a purchase order. But finance may have to pay a bill.
And the other way around, you may have vendors with purchasing view, that do not need company code data, as they serve only purchasing needs as order address or goods supplier, but the invoice is posted to the main vendor.

  • Not able to add outgoing payment for vendor

    Hi to all Experts,
I am facing problem i.e I am not able to add outgoing payment for Vendor. I have tried to multipul time using different users also. I have booked purchase first and then tried to make payment to the vendor.Docdate is 14th Jul 08, and docdue date is 18th Aug. 08.
I have made two entries for outgoing payment using G/L A/c. option before trying to do this entry successfully.
Can any body plz help me to resolve this issue.
    Warm Regards,
    Chintesh Soni

    Hello Chintesh,
The scenario seems to be similar to the one described in Note 1027043.
Here is the text from the Note:
"You are trying to add the an Outgoing Payment for an A/P Invoice or A/P Credit Memo using Checks as Payment Means. However, after pressing the 'Add' button, the payment is not added and the system does not send an error message."
This issue occurs when the Vendor Ref. No. field in the A/P invoice or the A/P credit memo has more than 39 characters.
It is an application error that is fixed in PL26, 2005B (Note 1073858). Kindly upgrade to the latest patch. If not possible at the moment, you can use the workaround provided in the Note.
    I hope this helps.

  • What is the table used outgoing payment to vendors?

What is the table used outgoing payment to vendors?
And which field in the table records the tax code

    Hi Priyanka,
We need to make clear that which table is used in different step in purchasing process regarding to tax.
    For example,
When I post a PO, I can input tax code for each line item. Which table is used to store such information?
When I post an invoice, I can also input tax code. Which table is used to store such info? As far as I know, it is BKPF, right?
And in the actual outgoing payment, can I input different tax code from PO or invoice. If so, which table is used to store such info?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Consolidated Payment to Vendors

    Hi all,
We have a scenario, where in our client issues  cheque for a consolidated amount to the Bankers for payment to vendors. The Bankers in turn will issue different DD's to the vendors.
I shall explain this with an example:
The client issues a single cheque for Rs.200000/- to the Bank for payment to 5 vendors @ Rs.40000/- each. The Bank in turn will issue 5 DD's to these vendors.
Please advice me as to how to accomodate this scenario in SAP?
    Thanks,
    Sajan C P

    Hi,
    Use Tcode F-53.
Process bank detail with consolidated figure and if any bank charges AND specify the vendor 1 Account
    Step 1
click the push button "PROCESS OPEN ITEM"
    step 2.
    go back without selecting anything
    Step 3
click the push button "CHOOSE OPEN ITEM"
    Specify the vendor 2 Account
then similarly follow the step 2 and step 3 specifying the vendor 3,4,5 account
Now all the vendor account will get accumulated in the process open item.
find / sort list the required document number and clear it off
    Step 4
    Simulate & POST
pls revert back, if any further quires you have

  • Different unit of measurements work independently

    Hi SAP MM Experts
Is there any possibility to work with 2 different unit of measurement at a time in sap which need to be independent from each others mean no relation b/w 2 uom.
My client is a steel manufacturer. When a bar (steel rod) received from vendor, they want to  enter in system with uom as KG  and bundle and same thing will be control in all possible good movement. even in sell, they want to control with 2 unit on measurement. pls guide me. thanks

You can maintain two uom for material, You can purchase this material with two uom. But material can only stored in warehouse with base unit of measure. You can also sale the material with two unit.
For using different uom in purchasing have a look into the docu Create Info Record for different Order Unit

  • Why we should not assign WHT Code for Payment in Vendor Master

    HI
I have doubt re WHT.  When WHT Types for Invoice and Payment are assigned in Vendor Master, Why Its suggested to maintain WHT Code only for Invoice, why not for Payment. Pls clarify my doubt.
    Thanks

    Dear
It all depends upon the situation.  Sometimes we may pay advance to the vendor.  At that time, if we need to deduct tds then we need to incorporate payment tax code in the vendor master.  Sometimes we may do either fb60/MIRO and at that time we need to deduct tax then we need to incorporate invoice tax code in the vendor master.
There might be different orders on the same vendor and there might be different areas operating the same vendor for invoice booking/payment.  In such situations, we need to maintain both invoice tax code and payment tax code in the vendor master since tds need to be deducted at the time of invoice booking or payment to vendor whichever is earlier.
When first advance payment is made  to the vendor and when tds amount is deducted, then at the time of making MIRO we need to remove invoice tax codes so that tds is not deducted twice.
    Hope the above clarifies.

  • How to deal with payment of vendor to us (credit notes I guess)

Normally I use F07 for outgoing payments, it's linked to vendors, but how to deal with incoming payments of vendors?
We got paid two invoices(credit notes I guess) and I want to put them under the right vendor, but how do I do it?
I can't use F07 I think because I need to use positive amounts (for normal purchase invoices) and can't use negative amounts in this transaction. F08 is for ingoing payment but that session is linked to customers I thought..not for vendors?
How to deal with this kind ot transactions? What transaction can I use the best for payments like this
(we got paid an amount , no invoices yet, but I know the vendor).

whith F-02 it is possible I noticed.

  • Different Unit of weight, Delivery KG and LB

    Hi all,
we're working with a material master record within several countries. Managed and also used in Europe. So MARA-GEWEI is posted with KG, therefore the sales order and at the end the delivery refers to this weight unit.
Our US friends using a scale with weight unit LB and during packing they should update the HU weight using "VL02n". The scale couldn't be integrated (no it-interface), therefore the data will be entered manually and we expect a lot of missentered data.
Any idea how to change the weight unit in the sales order / delivery? Do we have to use an user exit during order creation implementing "UNIT_CONVERSION_SIMPLE" or is there any other solution?
The T006 is maintained with LB / KG, the User Own data were also checked ... forgotten anything?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Dirk

Thanks you for the quick answer.
However the alternative unit of measure is not our aim, we're looking for a different unit of weight.
The articles were ordered with unit of measure PC and we want to determine the right weight for the parcel, once with a scale in KG and once in LB (as it is regular unit of weight in US).

  • Down payment to vendor

    hi experts,
My requirement is  to pay 100% advance along with taxes against purchase order. after payment made by me, vendor has to supply the material. I have assign the payment term in Vendor master also.
    process will be the following.
    creation of purchase order ME21N.

    goods receipt MIGO
    Invoice verification MIRO
    Clearing of advance F-54
my problem is when i make the advance payment to vendor through F-48 against PO it is picking only PO base value instead of total value and showing information message "Order value will be exceeded", if i enter document is saving.
my requirement is if the advance payment is more than PO value(including taxes), system will show the error message and it can't be save.
For the above requirement is there any configuration?
For the above requirement I did the following validation
    Prerequisites :Vendor >= '10001' AND Vendor <= '10010'
          BSEG-LIFNR >= '10001' AND BSEG-LIFNR <= '10010'
Check: Payment Amnt = Purchasing Doc.
            BSEG-LIFNR >= '10001' AND BSEG-LIFNR <= '10010'
    Message type given :E
It is working but Po value picking as base value instead of total value.
can any one help me is there any soulution to pick up total PO value(including taxes)? or any alternative method?
Is there any user Exists for this.
    kindly help me.
