Pb with file in jar

I develop a small app which need to read information on text file in the Jar. The Emulation in Eclipse works well but when I use netbeans to make easily the Jar I have a problem and the program is unable to connect to the file.
Where must I stock the file in the Jar? (In netbeans the .txt file where stock in <default package>.

  • Unable to access classes in third party jar files packaged with my ejb.jar

    I have packaged some third party jar files in my xxx_ejb.jar file.  The third party jar file contains classes that are accessed by some custom classes which are in turn accessed by my bean classes.  I get the following error when my custom classes attempt to use any of the classes in one of the third party jar files:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/Ostermiller/util/CSVParser
    Shouldn't I be able to access classes in jar files that are packaged with my xxx_ejb.jar file?  I see the xxx_ejb.jar file as a resource of the application classloader that contains it but I don't see the third party jar files.

    As per the Java EE specification, additional JAR files should be packaged on the EAR level. Only WAR files' WEB-INF/lib folder is scanned for JAR files to be added to the classloader.

  • Work with ADF Library jar file

    Hi
    My English isn't very good
    I use jdeveloper11.1.1.3.0
    I want to work with ADF Library jar file.
    I created two generic application. In each application I have a View Obj(one for employees table and one for department table ) and added them to App Module,
    then I made a ADF Library jar file for each application: adflib_emp, adflib_dep
    Then I created two separated application and in each application I created a BTF .
    In emp_TF1 I added adflib_emp jar file to application and in dep_TF2 I added adflib_dep jar file to application.
    These two applications work well. Then I created ADF Library jar file for each of these applications named: adflib_TF_1 and adflib_TF_2
    Finally I designed a main page to use these two jar file(adflib_TF_1 , adflib_TF_2). I added thses two jar file to application and then I dragged and dropped each TF to main page as a region:
    <af:panelSplitter id="ps1" splitterPosition="500">
    <f:facet name="first">
    <af:region value="#{bindings.emp_TF1.regionModel}" id="r1"/>
    </f:facet>
    <f:facet name="second">
    <af:region value="#{bindings.dep_TF2.regionModel}" id="r2"/>
    </f:facet>
    </af:panelSplitter>
    When I run main application both TF show employees table, but one TF should shows department table and the other one should shows employees table.
    I read oracle document and created my application on base of it. But I don't know why this happen and how to solve it?

    Hi,
    most likely the names of the application modules are not different but the same, which means you have a naming problem. Application modules (if they should be used as is) must have a unique name

  • Where do I put the Jakarta files standard.jar and jstl.jar when developing with JSF 2.0 in OEPE using web logic server

    hi everybody, I am wondering what should i do with the standard.jar and jstl.jar files when using we logic. I tried putting both files into
    the directory c:\oracle\middleware\oracle_home\user_projects\domains\base_domain\bin.  I don't know if this is correct.  Thanks in
    in advance for the help.

    Anyways I found this link on www.oracle.com website by the same author of the book I am reading Deepak Vohra - Templating with JSF 2.0 Facelets.
    although here he is using Weblogic 11g although I don't think it makes a difference.  have a look at the Setting up the Environment section
    where he says to download the jstl.jar and standard.jar files.

  • Help with 11g install - corrupt file "filegroup15.jar" (Windows 32bit)

    Hi, I'm having problems installing 11g. I've downloaded the .zip file a thousand times, and each time I get a CRC problem on the following file in the .zip:
    database\stage\Components\oracle.ctx\11.1.0.6.0\1\DataFiles\filegroup15.jar bad CRC df37af05 (should be 38b64725)
    I don't see anyone else complaining about the problem, so it must be something on my side, but not sure what. I've downloaded multiple times, on multiple computers, both with and without a download manager. Any suggestions on how to get around this (the file is over 140 Mb or I'd ask that someone simply email it to me...)
    Thanks in advance for any ideas!
    Scott

    Sorry I wasn't clear, the corrupted file filegroup15.jar is the one that's 140 Mb in size.
    Looking under Windows, I see the following filesize info for the entire .zip:
    Size: 1.73 Gb (1,868,327,005 bytes)
    Size on Disk: 1.73 Gb (1,868,328,960 bytes)
    Does that match what you have?
    Thanks,
    Scott

  • Xml file with DTD in jar file

    Dear all,
    I developed an application using NetBeans which lets you create XML files.
    The process of creating the new XML file, set the attribute Doctype of these files to the DTD (fileXML.dtd) present in the build / classes / Dtd that is loaded during implementation through:
    URL url=ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader().getResource("Dtd/fileXML.dtd");so the attribute Doctype XML files created will have the location of the DTD fileXML.dtd:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE AGSet SYSTEM "file:/F:/Documents%20and%20Settings/ioXp/Desktop/mioProgramma/build/classes/Dtd/fileXML.dtd">
    Well. After completing the development of the program, I created the executable miaApplicazione.jar (in which he was pulled inside your full Buil, including build / dtd) by the option of NetBeans "Build Main Project."
    Double-clicking the file miaApplicazione.jar the program runs properly.
    The problem now is that when I create the XML file by mioProgramma.jar, they will refer to this DTD within miaApplicazione.jar and consequently when trying to open these files XML message appears:
    Protocol specified unknown. Error processing resource "jar:file:/F:/Documents%20and%20Settings/ioXP/...
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE AGSet SYSTEM "jar:file:/F:/Documents%20and%20Settings/ioXp/Desktop/miaApplicazione/...
    What is the solution for this problem?
    Hi

  • Help adding new files to Jar file.

    I am new to Java and am having problems haveing our Web App work after I have recreated the JAR file...this is what I did...
    Changed to the following directory at a dos prompt:
    D:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin
    Ran the following to extract the files from the jar file.
    jar xvf app2.jar
    ...this created 5 directories with various files.
    copied new and updated graphic files to
    D:\jdk1.3.1_01\bin\app2\images
    Recreated the jar file using the following command (pv com javavp meta-inf borland are the 5 directories that were extracted from the original jar file above):
    jar.exe cvf app2.jar pv com app2 meta-inf borland
    I now have a new jar file that is a similar size, so it looks good, but when I put it in our web site, it does not recognize certain frames (that get information from the database) that it did before (the frames are blank)
    Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?
    Also, are there any Windows programs that i can use to make this easier instead of using the dos commands?
    Thanks...

    To change the contents while inside a java program, you might be able to use Runtime.exec(String[]). Make the array with "jar.exe" as the first index, flags in the second, and remaining arguments in the remaining indecies.

  • Problem with creation of jar with external libraries

    hi guys, I've no problem with creation of jar,i use this command:
    jar -mcf MANIFEST.MF NameFile.jar *.class
    my file manifest is this:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Created-By: Me
    Main-Class: NameFile
    Now,I've to make a jar file,but i have to use some external libraries in jar format.
    I've read on sun tutorial and i've added to manifest this line:
    Class-Path: dt.jar formshelp.jar formsrt.jar jh.jar looks-1.3.1.jar substance.jar TableLayout.jar
    But the jar file doesn't work, neither with a double click nor with console...
    Someone can help me?Thanks!:)

    Darkweb wrote:
    sorry but,the external libraries that i use are in .jar,what i've to do to include these libraries in my jar?One of 3 things
    1) Take them out of the jar, and put them in a folder, preferably a folder in the same folder as the jar
    2) Write a custom classloader to load classes from nested jars
    3) Extract the contents of all the dependency jars, and jar them all up with your own code
    The first is almost always the most preferable, the second one is doable but brittle and resistent to updating dependencies ( you have to release everything for any changes you need, even if it's not a change in your own code ) and the third one is tedious and suffers from the same robustness problems of the second, not to mention that a lot of software licences prohibit you from actually doing it. Do the first one, it's by far the most common and easiest to maintain. I really wouldn't advise the third option, ever, though. Any activity that reduces the modularity of your application is ill-advised

  • Problem with file address

    Hi,
    I have a problem with my java program I wrote:
    On my computer it works fine, because the file I use in the code has an absolute address to an specific place on my hard drive:
    public static final File kombinace = new File("D:\\Documents\\NetBeansProjects\\spalicky\\src\\spalicky\\kombinace.txt");but I need to send the source files to another person ( my teacher ) and I need the code to work on his computer too...
    do you have any idea how to edit the code to fix this problem???
    I thought maybe be the relative address to the file or some including of the file like a resource might work but I dont not how to do this or if its even possible ..
    thank for every reply

    ondra wrote:
    First at all, thanks a lot for your reply :) ,
    It is read-only file ...
    So you meant write the code like this ?
    InputStream stream = getClass().getResourceAsStream("/kombinace.txt");
    Yes, somewhere in your code when you need to read it you do something like the above, assuming kombinace.txt lives in one of your classpath roots. For example, if your code and that file are jarred up, then the above code would work if the file were in the root of the jar.
    public static final File kombinace = new File(stream);No. Get rid of this - don't deal with it as a File anymore.

  • Servicegen issue with binding webservices.jar

    Hey, I am trying to build a ejb webservice using ant and servicegen. When I run it, it blows up and gives me a ton of binding errors. The problem is the binding errors are on files from the webservices.jar not from my jar. What is wrong with my script?
    Script:

  • Problem for reading data file in jar file

    I use eclipse to export my project to jar file. My project is a program used to update data of the company. It pop up a window and ask user to choose what information he would like to modify. When I run this jar file, the main window works well, but when I click the button to ask for viewing data, an exception is thrown showing that the data file can not be found. When exporting, I already include data files into the jar file.
    Can any one help me please?
    Thanks.

    import java.io.*;
    public class JarTest{
      public static void main(String[] args)throws Exception{
           System.out.println("Starting deviousness...");
           File f = new File("myjar.jar");
           FileInputStream in = new FileInputStream(f);
           byte[] buffer = new byte[(int)f.length()];
           in.read(buffer);
           in.close();
           FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(f);
           out.write(buffer);
           out.close();
           System.out.println("Finished!");
    }Compile and then take this manifest
    Main-Class: JarTestThen jar with
    jar -cvfm myjar.jar manifest JarTest.classand run
    java -jar myjar.jarIt actually works. I wonder if the classloader is borked though....

  • Invisible class files inside jar archives

    Hi!
    After developing an application with J2SE 1.4.1_05, under Windows 98, using some packages archived in jar files, I cannot launch the application with the J2RE 1.4.2_02 or J2SE 1.4.2_02 (in the same Windows 98) because the class files in the jars are not 'visible', even if the CLASSPATH is set up correctly. The only classes that work right are the unpacked ones. But it still does work in Windows 2000.
    What might be wrong?

    Thank you for your answer, and excuse me if my question was kind of confusing.
    The issue here is that the files ARE in the jar files (without './' on the front), but in the environment (Windows 98 + J2RE 1.4.2_02) the application does not work, unless I unpack the jars and use the packages in the same manner I did during the development stage (for example, all classes of package 'myutils' in the folder 'myutils').
    The weird thing is that this DOES NOT happen in the environment (Windows 2000 + J2RE 1.4.2_02)!!! Just after installing the J2RE 1.4.2_02 under Win2K, the app does work OK! That is why it seems that ONLY in the first case (Windows 98 + J2RE 1.4.2_02) the class files inside the jars seem to be 'invisible' to the environment.
    As I have mentioned in my question, the app was developed in the environment (Windows 98 + J2RE 1.4.1_05), and it did still work with the jar files, so I wonder if there might be some compatibility between Windows 98 and the J2RE 1.4.2_02.
    Except my own jars, the same thing does happen with the jai_core.jar file coming with JAI 1.1.2. But this does not happen when it comes about rt.jar, in ..\jre\bin!!!
    All in all, the question still is: what might be wrong?
