Pb XML with export report group
Hello,I am trying to export a group of reports under ( Analyzer 6.1.1 DB2 W2K ) to import it onto another server ( Analyzer 6.2 oracle 9.2 W2K ).The export and import work fine and the documents can be found in Analyzer 6.2 - however, when I try to export from6.2, I get an XML error [email protected]
Do you have a report open when you export/import ?I got the same error because my 'Main' report was open when the commands was executed.

Font style issue with exporting report in Crystal Reports 2008
Hi,
I got stuck on the below issue for a while. Please can anyone help on this?
When I designed and executed a report in Crystal Reports 2008 on my local PC, the font style and size used in charts were exactly what I was expecting.
However, after I exported the report to our BusinessObjects CMC and displayed it in InfoView, the font style and size in charts looked quite different from what they were in CrystalReports.
Any ideas of how to fix this issue?

This is because you do not have proper rights on Business View Manager. Whenever you create a dynamic parameter in crystal and try to save the report on BO, it creates a Business view automatically. Now in your case, it is unable to create a business view due to insufficient rights.
Go in Business View Manager u2013 Repository exploreru2014You will find Dynamic Cascading Prompts folderu2014Right click on that and go in rights and add your user information and give full rights.
Also make sure that your BO and CR designer on same version and patch level.

In table TSTCP, maintain the parameters field with RWD_SREPOVARI-REPORT6OI2 and execute. You may see multiple transactions assigned to GR55 report 6OI2. You can replace 6OI2 with other report groups to find report painter/writer transactions in SAP.
RWD_SREPOVARI-REPORT*6OI2* means -
RW - Report Type
SREPOVARI - Table that stores Reports and Variants
REPORT - Name of Report
There are many ways to find a transaction assignment, i guess this is an easier one for report painter transactions.

I've an issue with the report groups and read programs for the object EC_PCA_SUM. As we know that the report groups and read programs available for this object in the application customizing are used to analys the archived data.
That is these programs comes into picture after the archiving operation.

Your provided transaction "GR55" helped me to find out the program name for a particular group. However, these are just Write and Painter reports.
But can you please let me know the functionality of these report groups ?? what are these used for ???
Do we have these programs for other archiving objects like CO_ITEM,CO_ML_BEL,MM_MATBEL,CO_ORDER,
PP_PLAN,PP_BKFLUSH ??

Problem in Exporting a Report Group having a Report Painter Report.
I am having a problem in exporting a Report group having a Report Painter report.When I am trying to export the Report Group using transaction GR57 with all dependent objects,it is displaying:
group 0102CPDNUEA-CCROSI not transported.
Transport groups separately if necessary.

I am using the JRC to export to a PDF file a report that has a sub report within it. Both the main and subreport connect to an Oracle database via an Oracle ODBC connection and both share a single parameter, RUN_ID. I need to set a value for the parameter in both reports. not. I am not sure why the update to set the RUN_ID in the second SQL query fails, but it seems to me the JRC is not detecting it as a missing parameter and is passing the SQL including {?RUN_ID} to Oracle, causing the JDBC driver to fail with this NullPointerException. I think this because further up in the log I see this:-INFO - Executing query: SELECT v.* FROM v_ger_main vwhere v.run_id = 254INFO - Verifying databaseINFO - Executing query: SELECT h.* FROM v_ger_av_ls_tagging hwhere h.run_id = {?RUN_ID}ERROR - QueryEngine error: verify database failed.Both connections are from the same database, but the first has the updated value (254) whilst the second query still seems to have the parameter and so fails to verify.Can someone suggest how I can fix this problem or if I have missed something that is required?Thanks.Jon.Post Author: Ted Ueda

What happens if, instead of passing in parameter field values, you pass the report source object to the viewer (ReportViewerBean for stand-alone or CrystalReportViewer for web)? The viewer should introspect the report for the parameter fields and bring up a parameter field entry dialog box. Does such a dialog box come up? Is only the main report parameter field queried for, or both main and subreport paramter fields? When you enter correct values for the field, does the report display?
Hopefully, the above should narrow down the issue.
By the way, JRC doesn't support ODBC connections, only Java based connectivity such as JDBC, JavaBeans and XML. If you have a report with ODBC, then it looks for a JNDI connection with the same name.

Introduction
There is a scenario that a report grouped by one field for some reasons, then the users want to export each group data to separated Excel files. By default, we can directly export only one file at a time on report server. Is there a way that we can split
the report based on the group, then export each report to Excel file?
Solution
To achieve this requirement, we can add a parameter with the group values to filter the report based on the group, then create a data-driven subscription for the report which get File name and parameter from the group values.
In the report, create a parameter named Name which use the Name field as Available Values (supposing the group grouped on Name field).
Add a filter as below in the corresponding tablix:
Expression: [Name]
Operator: =
Value: [@Name]
Deploy the report. Then create a data-driven subscription with Windows File Share delivery extension for the report in Report Manager.
During the data-driven subscription, in the step 3, specify a query that returns the Name field with the values as the group in the report.
In the step 4 (Specify delivery extension settings for Report Server FileShare), below “File name”option, select “Get the value from the database”, then select Name field.
Below ‘Render Format’ option, select Excel as the static value.
In the step 5, we can configure parameter Name “Get the value from the database”, then select Name field.
Then specify the subscription execute only one time.

Report group : 8a26 : what is the purpose of import export parameter ?

I am using report group 8a26. I need to add company code in selection criteria, but when i dbl clk on one of the profit center to see the line items, those are getting dislayed irrespective of the company code i select even though i have passed the BUK parameter using set command.
Do I need to do something in import and export parameters?
How does this report group works actually?
Is there any thing more i need to do which i have missed out to pass the company code to the program rcopca02?

went through the tutorial with the "Import Java Classes".Do you mean the Barcode sample in Building Reports Manual?
The purpose of Java Importer is this: suppose you have written your business logic in Java, eg, you convert currency from Dollars to Euros. Suppose the currency convertor is a Java class. You first import this Java class using "Import Java Classes". Now you can use this Java class in a Formula Column in your report to provide the input currency in Dollars and you will get the output in Euros. So the Java Importer provides a way for you to write your business logic in Java. You don't need to write all your logic in PL/SQL. You can just use PL/SQL to provide the input to Java, and get the output.
To answer your specific Q: the PL/SQL packages (package spec and package body) are created automatically to reflect your imported Java classes. One package is created per imported Java class with the same name as the Java class, and it performs the same function as the Java class. However, you do not need to worry about these packages, and do not edit them.
As a user, you only need to perform these steps:
1. Import Java classes
2. Use the Java classes in PL/SQL in your report, eg, in a Formula Column

When i try to generate the offer letter in iRecruitment, i am getting the warning: There is no reporting group defined with a purpose of iRecruitment in "Enter compensation" Screen. However i am able to generate the offer letter,preview and submit the offer letter. I have referred the Article [ID 1168832.1] in oracle support. It suggest me to give the Temporary Directory file name using XML Publisher Administrator , but still the Warning appears.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. From Vacancy Search page, select applicant.
2. Create Offer: Enter Basic Details.
3. Warning: There is no reporting group defined with a purpose of iRecruitment for this business group.
4. Review page.
Version Details: Oracle Applications : 12.1.2
But still the offer letter is generated.
Can anyone advice me to over come this warning

SurayshI have the same behavior too. Looking at the iRecruitment implementation guide, I see reporting groups defined there.
1) Select your HRMS Superuser responsibility
2) Go to Total Compensation : General Definitions : Additional Setup : Reporting Groups
If you see no data, it's likely you have ... no reporting groups.
I think this time the error is pointing you in the right direction.

I have a report with all the columns that I need. I have created a Report Queries (from Shared Components) to generate a XML with the same sql as the report but the XML that APEX generates by default has this structure:

The issue is that in the following code, I've replaced this line:
qryCtx := dbms_xmlgen.newContext('select hash_value from hash');
with this line:
qryCtx := dbms_xmlgen.newContext(V_Return);
I did this because the value that I want to be in XML is in the variable V_Return and not in a table. I get a compilation error:
PLS-00382: expression is of wrong typeCompilation failed
Is there a way to use newContext with a variable value rather than a select statement from a table?

If <tt>VReturn</tt> is not a SQL query then you will need to use one of the (many) other ways of generating XML. This question has nothing to do with APEX and would be better addressed to the XML DB.
Additionally, the recommended methods for XML generation, encryption and hashing are heavily version-dependent and you should always quote the relevant DB version/edition information to ensure an appropriate answer. For example, DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT is deprecated as of Oracle 10g and replaced by DBMS_CRYPTO. -
Bad files when exporting reports to PDF with CR4E

I suppose one solution is to enumerate the properties before the Export, and add the consistent ones to a custom PSObject, and export that to CSV. It would help if the task requirement specifies what user properties are needed instead of the blanket "full
details", or if we export to XML instead of CSV.

Filtering the object type to just user objects is already implicit in Get-ADUser. If you really want information on all the members you'll need to run Get-ADUser on the user objects, and Get-ADGroup on the group objects.
Edit: There might also be computer account objects in there, too.
