PC suite 6.86.9 is problematic on Virtual Windows ...

Hi,
Unfortunately, the version of 6.86.9 (current one) can't work reliably on Virtual PC 7 (Mac OS X), virtualised windows (Sun solution) on Intel Mac.
6.84.x one, available from CNET Download.com works fine except it crashes the phone if one tries to Backup phone (my primary purpose was that)
While I verified the Virtual PC 7 (current) with XP SP3 myself, I also saw a bug report to Sun Microsystems supported regarding same error.
I thought it was some kind of timing issue since as you may guess, VPC runs really slow even on Quad (4x) G5 2500 but the report at Sun really made me think about something else.
There is something wrong with current cable drivers I think.
Check the bug reports at http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/470
In fact, they may provide more insight than a "real" Windows running on PC.

I checked that by myself. ServiceLayer version 7.0.8.0. Product v. 3.4.
Causes same problem with explorer: MSOffice files open with delay.

  • Install Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Media Pack to Windows Server

    Hi,
I am completely new to Oracle - I have used My SQL in the past and I am coming from a windows Background. I have just downloaded Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Media Pack for Microsoft. Now this has gave me about 30+ Zip folders - how do I install this? I would be used to seeing/running just a simple setup.exe file. Is this not the case? I have attempted to read online about how to do this - I have read the following link - http://oraclelabs.com/index.php/2011/05/19/installing-oracle-applications-e-business-suite-r12-on-windows-xp-windows-2003-server/
I wish to install to Windows Server2008 R2
Now it mentions downlaoding Cygwin, Perl, etc. Do I need to do all this in order to install - all the files that are zipped up - where/how should they all be extracted too - under one common folder, etc - apologies if this is very trivial.
If any more information is required I would be happy to provide.
    Many Thanks

  • Is ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 4 DESIGN PREMIUM WIN UE compatible with Windows 8 and 8.1?

Is ADOBE® CREATIVE SUITE® 4 DESIGN PREMIUM WIN UE compatible with Windows 8 and 8.1?

Yes/No/perhaps/maybe? You won't know until you try. Windows programs are generally backward compatible, but of course there most definitely will be specific problems like needing to manually adjust user permissions or getting things like printing functions to work.

  • E-Business Suite 11i on Internet Explorer 8 running in Windows 7

    Hi Guys,
Need your help IE8 keeps on crashing while using or accessing E-Business Suite. I already tried some of the workaround like copying the jvm.dll of the sun JRE1.6 to Oracle Jinitiator directory but still it is not working. Also I tried disable some of the add-ons but still not fixed the problem. Currently, im doing windows update and hopefully this would fix the problem.
Does anyone also encountered this problem?
    Thanks,
    Benjo

Metalink doc id 290807.1 says that Internet Explorer 8 is now ccertified using Sun JRE 1.6.0_03 and higher. I have JRE 1.6.0_07 with Internet Explorer 8 for my Oracle 11i and the windows are freezing up consistently and works fine with IE 7, but i have users in IE 7 and IE 8, could you anyone help me with this issue. my full version is oracle 11.5.10.2 and my desktop in Windows XP.

  • Problems installing Development Suite Patch 10.1.2.3.0 on Windows 7 (32-bit)

    Hi all,
I'm trying to install Oracle Development Suite 10.1.2.3.0 on Windows 7 (Service Pack 1 with fairly current Windows Updates) according to Metalink Document 1292919.1.
Everything work just find until I try to install the 10.1.2.3.0 Patchset (Patch Number 5983622) as outlined in Step 5 of the aforementioned Document.
During the step labelled "Copying files for 'Oracle Universal Installer 10.1.0.6.0" I get the following error message twice:
    "javaw.exe Entry Point Not Found"
"The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL".
I acknowledged both of these messages and rest of the installation process runs fine.
I'm not not sure about what to make of these messages, will my installation work correctly or will I have to cope with further issues related to this?
My search on Metalink did not turn up any results related to the Development Suite. I already checked if there were multiple versions of psapi.dll were present on the system as mentionned in Documents regarding this problem while installing Oracle client 10.1.0.5.0 but there is only one.
    Any help is apreciated!
    Chris

    Hi Chris,
Answer to the question is provided on threads:
Install errors - Entry point not located in PSAPI.dll; Package load failure

  • Oracle SOA Suite (10.1.3.3.0) install as Windows service

    Hi Guys,
This is a repost. Since the original thread was kinda hijacked, I think maybe I should start a new thread.
I was installing Oracle SOA Suite (10.1.3.3.0) on Windows Server 2003.
Original issue: by default installation, 10gAS cannot run as windows service.
Following MetaLink Note, I manually created OreacleMyHomeProcessManager service, after start this service, seems everything works fine now.
However, in original MetaLink Note it asked to create two services, another one is OracleMyHomeASControl - but the nmesrvc.exe file cannot be found anywhere in my installation, so I did not create it.
    My questions are:
    1. Do I really need to create the 2nd service?
    2. Why the 10gAS works fine without this 2nd service?
    3. Without 2nd service, any potential problems it may cause?
Thanks a lot in advance for reply!

Don't worry, you are good to go. I just posted my comments on the earlier thread:

  • Purchase of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection with 32-bit Windows system

I have issued an order for the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection. However, I just realized that Premiere Pro CS5.5 and AfterEffect CS5.5 will not run on my computer since my system is only running on Windows 7 32-bit.
I am wondering if it is possible for me to use the CS5.5 Key to install Premiere Pro CS4 and AfterEffect CS4?
Or, I would have to purchase them separately?
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 transfer license from mac to windows

    Hello,
In 2011, I bought a license 'adobe Creative Suite 5.5' (students) for a mac.
My Macbook crashed again and I want to switch to a PC.
Is it possible to switch my license from mac to windows?
    Thanks

No. that only applies to "current" versions, meaning CS6. You will have to buy the commercial CS6 upgrade and make the switch or just buy a new license if you are still eligible for S&T pricing.

  • PC Suite with virtualized Windows NOT working

PC Suite (6.83.14.1) is not working with a vitualized OS, i tested it with
Linux (Ununtu) 7.10 as Host OS
    VirtualBox 1.5.6 with USB support
Guest (virtualized) OS tried: Windows 2000, XP Sp2/3 and Vista sp1
The phone (nokia N73) connected bij USB is recognized, the modem is working, but wen connecting the phone it comes with an error:
"PC Suite does not recognise the connected phone. The connection between the PC and the phone failed, error code 0x80044403. Switch off your phone, switch it on, and try again."
in Windows management the phone is recognized, correctly
as "Nokia N73 USB Phone Parent" and below that device:
    - Nokia N73 as: COM3, Generic, Modem, en 2 OBEX devices.
also below "Ports" the phone is visible as USB(COM3)
Al (!) my other USB devices like USB stick's USB-DVD-recorder are working fine.
also Windows CE-devices, like a Navman (Windows CE), connected by Microsoft activesync are working perfect.
PC Suite is necessary to run firmware upgrades!
So, it lookes likes a PC Suite problem, while everything is functioning except PC Suite.

PC Suite ver 7.0 is NOT working with virtualised OS. I have tested on OpenSuse 11.0 as HOST OS with SUN xVM VirtualBox Graphical User Interface 2.0.2 with USB Support enabled. The Virtualised OS is Windows XP with all Service Packs / Windows updates loaded.
The Phone E90 Communicator is connected via USB
In Windows management the Phone is recognised as Wireless Communication Devices --> Nokia E90 Communicator USB Phone Parent.
When connecting the Phone it shows an error:
"PC Suite does not recognise the connected phone. The connection between the PC and the phone failed, error code 0x80044403. Switch off your phone, switch it on, and try again."
PC Suite is required to backup the phone, etc so that I can use the E90 in Virtualised Windows on OpenSuse 11.0.
Would Love to have this working. Hate using Windows only to access the Phone since OpenSuse 11.0 is my primary OS. I will have to reboot the system, select Windows XP if all I have to use Windows XP is for accessing the Phone.
Appreciate a revert at the earliest.

    Anyone knows?

As always: You won't know until you try. Per se there is nothing that should prevent the programs from functioning, but there may be compatibility issues that may necessitate some fiddling e.g. with compatibility modes.

Also, Microsoft allows you to lease their Office products on a monthly basis. Does Adobe do anything like this, or do you have to buy the product outright? Thanks in advance,

Can anyone please help me to solve this problem.

  • Installation of developer suit 10g on windows 7 64-bit

    Dear all,
I have successfully installed oracle 10g and developer suit 10g in my lappy which runs on windows 7 64-bit, I am able to launch form builder, create a new form and compile it. But when I runs the form the the internet explorer 8 crashes.
    Please help

I am guessing that you are fairly new to the Oracle Forms product as you are not understanding the difference between the environment where a "form" is developed and the area where it can/will be run in a supported manner. Let me try to start from the beginning....
    1. The Forms Builder 10.1.2 is NOT_ supported to be installed on Windows 7. I can technically be accomplished but is considered NOT supported by Oracle. So unless you have a good working knowledge of the Developer Suite product and the Win7 operating system and don't care about getting technical support from Oracle, I do not recommend attemting to install on Win7. If you choose to install on Win7, you are on your own even if you have a Support agreement. Supported platforms include Windows 2000, Win-XP, Vista (see note 559067.1), Solaris, Linux
If you feel like you need to have the Builder installed in an UNSUPPORTED environment, you can probably follow the instructions provided for installing on Vista as they will likely work for Win7. If you have access to My Oracle Support, take a look at this document: How to Install Developer Suite 10.1.2.3 on Windows Vista (Doc ID 559067.1)
Supported Operating Systems and other installation information can be found in the Installation Guide:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_08/doc/dl/core/B16012_04/chap2.htm#i1007814
The only exception to the above is that we now support installing on Vista when following the note mentioned above.
    2. You can "run" your form after it has been designed and compiled, on a Windows 7 machine. The form will run in a browser, using a JRE/JPI.
