PC WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE bb bOLD 9900
i bought a new computer with Windows 8 OS. I downloaded the BB desktop manager to be able to sync the PC with the BB Bold 9900. It gives me an error 1723 with the following message. "DLL required could not be run. Action: Repair rim Usb Driver. NT.07D232B6_7904_4970_8B22_8FA..."
The Microsoft community suggested I unregister and re register Windows installer. I did that but still when I connect the phone to the PX via the USB it is not recognized.
I contacted HP support and after 30 minutes of questions the guy suggested I contact BB support. I don't see a direct link to BB support only this link. Can anyone help?

Are you on Win8 or Win8.1, as the other poster who reported an identical issue? In either case, I don't find any useful KBs on the matter...you might have better luck searching:

But, if you are on Win8.1, then I'm starting to suspect a compatibility issue...AFAIK, the Desktop Software is compatible up to Win8, but perhaps not with Win8.1. Refer:

I am trying to hook my MacBook Pro to a Sony Bravia TV via DVI to HDMI cable and the TV will not recognize the signal. I have used the same setup with three other TV's, each a different brand with no problem. Any ideas?

On your computer, if you open the Displays preferences and do not see an Arrangement tab (or there is an Arrangement tab that shows only a single monitor) then there is something physically wrong with your connection. Try clicking Detect Displays just to see if the computer can now sense the presence of the connection. Check your connections.
If you do have an Arrangement tab, and it shows two screens, then click Gather Windows to bring the TV's Displays preferences on to your main screen if the TV is not yet showing an image. Set the proper resolution (probably 720p, 1080i, or 1080p). Set the refresh rate (probably 60Hz) if that preference is shown. You should see a picture at this point. I recommend turning off mirrored displays if it is enabled. -
I have a Sony radio in my car. With IOS 4 on my IPhone I could use the docking plug to the usb input on the radio and stream ESPN radio or pandora to the radio. After upgrading to IOS 5 on the phone the Sony radio will not recognize the phone . Any thoughts.

Thanks for answering. The version is XI.0.10. I just did the update yesterday hoping that I could now properly edit a scanned pdf document. Yes, it's happening on most all scanned documents. I followed your steps & found the list of fonts used in the document & then attempted to edit. The same occurs. When I type in a correction, I get an error alert... "the original font (in this case Fd 5805) is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font Minion Pro in its place."
When I select the text & right click as you suggested, my only choices are cut, copy, delete or select all, no "edit text".
I have no other options to choose another font. Thanks for any help you can direct my way.

I have an external hard drive that I have been using for years. All of a sudden my mac will not recognize the external as a "save as" device location. But the external does show up on my desktop and I can open it to drag and drop items. What happened and how do I get my mac to rerecognize the device?!?!?

I have changed my Apple ID when I got a new email address and confirmed it. However when I go to my iPad to buy an app my old Apple ID comes up and will not recognize the password. I tried going into the settings on my iPad and tapping on the old Apple ID to go in to change it but it will not recognize it and I cannot get in on the iPad to change it. How do I change this ID on my iPad for the iTunes store?

I have iMovie 09. I just erased my external hard drive, but it is still formatted for the mac. However, iMovie will not recognize the hard drive. It shows the only hard drive available is the computers. How do I get the external hard drive to show up?
In Finder's Menu, select Go menu>Go to Folder, and go to "/volumes". (no quotes)
Volumes is where an alias to your hard drive ("/" at boot) is placed at startup, and where all the "mount points" for auxiliary drives are created for you to access them. This folder is normally hidden from view.
Drives with an extra 1 on the end have a side-effect of mounting a drive with the same name as the system already think exists. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if there are no real files in them, and reboot.

I have version 4.4.1 on my computer now, which is functioning properly - but does not read the .ARW files. When I download the link you sent and try to open it, it pops up as version 5 and I get this image (attached). I am using an epson projector to present images downloaded to a thumb drive. I rename the images on export to "untitled 101, 102 etc. The projector will not recognize the sequence. It wants 001, 002etc. If I try to start 001 lightroom changes it to 1, 2 ... 10,11 etc. How can I export and rename starting with 001?
The projector may actually be processing a 3 digit number in numerical sequence. Have you tried your export/collection in order sequence starting with 101? Assuming you have fewer than 899 images you should be OK. (I had to fiddle with export sequence for a display frame which used the file date and time for sequence!)

I have a shuffle. When I plug it into Itunes, it tells me that it has not been ejected properly, and it will not recognize the Ipod. I have turned off the computer, and tried this with another shuffle with the exact same results. Any ideas?
Do you remeber the exact (or close to it) wording of the error message?

Windows 7 will not recognize the ipod.
I have an ipod 4th touch 64 gig. Windows 7 will not recognize the ipod. It will make the noise of a connection and will only charge. It will not show in my computer as a hard drive. It will show in Itunes and other third party programs. I have searched the net and tried most of the advice to try and fix but will still not show as a hard drive.
Has anyone had this problem and if so is there a fix?
thanksI did read along the way about some of the ipods not being recognized as a HD. I just installed Iexplorer and looks like it will do the job. As long as I have something other than Itunes to see it as a HD. I use Syncios and Copy Trans and both work great as to transfer music. But to see the ipod as a HD iexplorer will do the Job.
Again my ipod 4th gen will show in my computer but only the DCIM folder and a few other with pictures, no music folder or the control folder from the ipod.
My ipad works great and another ipod the long thin ones work but not this ipod touch 4 gen 64 gig.
Any other suggestions or help much appreciated

I recently bought a new laptop because my old one crashed. The only backup I had for my music was on my ipod. My new computer will not recognize the ipods music and I can't transfer anything. It keeps asking me to sync the ipod to this computer, but I'm scared to lose all my music. I want to transfer some of the music onto my iphone but I can't. I'm very frustrated and wish I knew more about computers at the moment!?!? What do I do???
You will need the help of some sort of 3rd party software to help you copy the content from your Shuffle back to your PC. Once you have done that, you can reimport this music into iTunes and configure it to sync to your new Shuffle.
