PCA-CCA

hello sap guru's
our client  having number of  product line which is Profit centers. all product line having the different cost center.client want report different product line wise profilt & loss. when ever billing is made its going correct profit center but where  Post Goods Issue made that cost of good sold going to the default cost center.they r not able calculate the profit & loss product line wise. cost r going to the default cost center because  OKB9 table is maintained.my worry is why system is not  pick up correct cost center at the time Post Goods issue......how to resolve this problems
Thanks Regards
Laxmi

Hi
If you are not able to calculate profitability properly because of the cost center based on the default settings in OKB9.
You can remove the cost element for COGS then when you to the PGI the cost also would flow to the profit center and not flow to cost center accounting.
See the above suits your requirement.

  • Advantages and disadvantages of having 2 controlling areas.

    Dear All.
My client have 2 company codes and will use same fiscal year variant and chart of account. so we recommend for one contrilling area. But my client wants some document or wants to know the advantages and disadvantages of having 2 controlling areas.
I will really do appreciate if anybody hepls me in this regards.

there is no general correct answer as every case is the different.
However, the majority of solutions that have a single CoA will also have a single Controlling Area.
The Controlling Area is the highest reporting level in Controlling, PCA, CCA etc.
Normally if you have two CoA then you will have two Controlling Areas.
A simple point to make to them is that a Controlling Area can only have 1 CoA, therefore you cant have 2.
Are your Company Codes in the same Country?

  • Field name-Urgent

Can anyone tell me the field name for "Organizational Hierarchy" and from which table it comes
    this is urgent
    thanks

What is "organizational hierarchy"? What application. PCA, CCA, CONS?

  • SAP Training course

    All,
I'm currently a Net weaver XI consultant and my company wants me to train on FI. My company is expecting to start in a techno-functional role after getting trained. (more technical than functional)
I was looking at the SAP training curriculum and i'm seeing the TFIN50 and TFIN52 courses? Are these courses a good starting point? Or are they very basic and limited?
Or are there some better choices that will a better in depth training in FI?
    Thanks.

What areas in Finance will you cover, Finance, AR, AP, AA, and GL.
    Controlling. PCA, CCA, PA, PS.
There are many areas and you need to make sure you understand each one.
I would suggest going to SAP Press and purchasing a book in Finance as they are much cheaper and they explain the key business processes with screen shots for you and basic configuration.
Hope this helps and good luck.

  • FI Deltas

I have noticed that in FI, which is the only area I am testing, that for AR, PCA, CCA, I can create an INIT load and run it and it pulls back records, them within seconds run a DELTA load and it also pull back records. I just did this for AR Credit Mgt and pulled 24k records with the INIT. And then within a minute, ran the DELTA and pulled back over 4k records. Then a second DELTA pulls back 0 records Also, this is in a test system so the activity is very little, so I would expect 0 records on any DELTA that is done that quickly.
Just looking for a reason this would happen.
    Thaanks, Keith J

Let me make sure I understand the difference.  There are 3 possible options:
<b>1)</b> No 'X' in setting and extraction is run after 2am.  This will pick up all records entered up to midnight the previous night.
<b>2)</b> No 'X' in setting and extraction is run prior to 2am.  This will pick up all records until midnight two nights ago
<b>3)</b> 'X' in setting.  This is the one that confuses me.  If I have the 'X' set, and run the extraction at 10pm today, does it pick up all the records entered today up to 10pm?  If that is not the case, I don't understand how option 3 is different from option 1.
    What am I missing?  Thanks

  • CCA and PCA figures not tie-up

We are doing reconciliation between PCA and CCA figures. One thing that i noticed is that in CCA (S_ALR_87013611), there are lot's of columns that represents amounts (sometimes these amount columns varies) and i am bit confused of what columns shall i pick up in order to reconcile with PCA (S_ALR_87013326).
the column amounts that i am referring to in CCA are the following: (Note that there are instances that amount/figures for these columns were different)
    1) Value COCurr
    2) Value ObjCurr
    3) Value TCur
    4) Val. in RC
    5) Var.val.in rep.cur
    6)Vbl.value/Obj.curr
    7)Vbl.Val./CoCrcy
    8)Value Ocur
While in PCA (S_ALR_87013326), there are only two amount columns, which are always equal.
    1) In pctr local curr.
    2) In co. code currency.
Could you please help me to identify what is the correct amount columns in CCA should i use in order to tie-up my figures in PCA?
    Thanks

    Hello Robert,
There should not be a difference. See below:
    1) FI-GL has two currencies
    - Amt in Document Currency and
    - Amt in Co Code Currency
    2) CO-CCA can have three (or 4 in case we have an additional "Reporting Currency") currencies
    - Amt in Document Currency (same as Document Curr in FI-GL)
    - Amt in Object Currency (same as Company Code Currency)
    - Amt in Controlling Area Currency (will be translated at M rate), will be same in case Company Code Currency and Controlling Area Currency are same)
    - Amt in Reporting Currency (depending on what is selected)
    3) EC-PCA can have three currencies
    - Amt in Transaction Currency (in most cases, this is not recorded to facilitate ease in summarization of data in GLPCT, if recorded, same as FI-GL)
    - Amt in Company Code Currency (same as Compnay Code Currency in FI-GL)
    - Amt in Profit Center Local Currency (same as Controlling Area currency in most cases)
Let us take an example as follows:
Transaction / Document Currency - JPY
    Company Code Currency - CAD
    Controlling Area Currency - USD
In GL, JPY and CAD are recorded
In CCA, JPY, CAD and USD are recorded
In PCA, JPY (if allowed), CAD and USD are recorded.
I would assume that your scenario of currencies too is similar. If this is the case, there should not be any difference (hope you are not looking at Variable and Fixed values in CCA, these are of no consequence when you are doing reconciliation). It would be interesting to see if your scenario is different !!
    Hope this helps.

  • Integrated Planning - Retraction to R/3 from BI 7.0  (CCA & PCA)

    Dear collegues,
Actually, I have to do some retraction for integrated planning of CCA and PCA (two projects for the same customer).
The integrated planning works allredy very well. Now I have to retract the plannig data back to the R/3 (NW 2004 - System). I have allready read the very interesting blogs of Praveen, but i am not able to rebuild it on my system. For example the dictionary structures /1SEM/_YS_CHASE_ are missing on my systems. On the other hand, I am not sure, on which system I have to build up the retraction (on the R/3 or on the BI 7.0).
Are there any trapdoor, I have to avoid in my project?
Has anybody further information, how to setup a retraction in case of cca or pca with BI 7.0?
I would be very happy, if someone could post an actual blog for retraction with R/3 and BI 7.0...
    greetings,
    Björn Dahlschen

    Hi ,
IP does not have retraction capabilities like BPS.
However you would have to utilize the BPS0 framework for the retraction piece.
Since you mentioned that you have input queries ready so I assume you have the transactional infocube ready. You dont have to copy the infocube to anything....
Please create an planning area attached the transaction infocube that you already created.
Create the planning level for CCA usually cost center , cost element , period amount etc.
Create the planning function - This is the retraction exit.
Create the structures in UPB_STRUCT for retraction as well.
Let me know if this was helpful.
    Tx,
    Madhu

  • CCA and PCA retraction in Integrated Planning

    Hi all,
Please I need some orientation about CCA an PCA retraction when you are using Integrated planning.
I read blogs about CCA retraction (made by Praveen Mayalur) and was very helpfull, but it only refers a planning scenario using BW-BPS, and I don't have the same structure to send the data in the integrated planning.
I had looked in SDN and SAP portal, and I can't find anything about it.
I hope you can help me.
    Thanks in advance, best regards
    Inge Eichhorns

    Hi
    1) Retraction are driven by BPS, IP is not equipped with Retraction.
    2) Cost Center & Internal Order Retraction should be configured through in BPS--> Planning Area; Planning Level, Planning Function; Parameter Group.
    3) You need to configure Source Structure, based on business requirement you need to ensure that the retraction happens either in CO Currency or Transaction Currency.
    4) Try to use the SAP Standard Function Modules for Cost Center and Internal Order Retraction. Refrain from copying & modifying the same.
go through the Cost Center Retraction relevant documents and they are very helpful.
    5) Function Modules for Profit Center Retraction are not available in ECC due to the New GL Concept.
    6) If possible advise the Business to use "File Upload" for Profit Center Data.

    Dear Aleksey,
If I understand correctly, I can create a rule in the following customizing step "Define rules for selecting CO line items" in order to implement the behavior I want which is to update FI for every cost transfer between cost centres.
    Can you confirm?
Thanks a lot for your quick answer.

    Hi Guys,
Can anyone explain me the difference between CCA, PCA & CO-PA with BI.
Say if I have CO-PA in my client will I be going for CCA & PCA or all three modules are different.
I gone thru few forums and sites, but these CCA , PCA & CO-PA are confusing. How are they linked? are these come under comtrolling?
can anybody just give me brief overview on the above modules and some good links to explore more this with bw.

  • Viewing original cost in PCA after the Distribution cycle run in CCA

    Hi,
We have allocated costs from common cost centers to product cost centers using Distribution Cycles in Cost Center Accounting (CCA). If we want to only view the original costs before distribution in a Cost center report, we use the filter & exclude distributed costs based on type of Business Transaction.
We have not executed any cycles in Profit Center Accounting (PCA). The distributed costs automatically hit the new profit centers because of assignment in the cost center master data. Now if we want to see the original costs before distribution in a Profit center report KE5Z, what filter should we use? There is no Business Transaction as a parameter to filter. Even reord type does not work since the distribution has been done in CCA.
    Regards,
    Sangeeta

    Hi,
After distribution of the cost from service costcenter to production costcenter,The PCA will hit automatically because of the assignment of profitcenter in the cost center master.
When you see the CCA report the system will display the cost based on the costelement, same as for the Profitcenter also.
So make the filter crieteria in Cost element & find out the distribution cost in profitcenter & costcenter,
    Regards,
    Raj

  • Configuring CCA and PCA Group

    Hi,
I am configuring CCA and PCA.
Can anyone please tell me how to add and delete a new PCA Group and CCA Group?
While configuring CCA we need PCA to be created first.
I have created PCA. PCA is there but inactivate state. How can I activate the same?
I'll be highly greatful to you.
    Thanks & Regards,

IF you are looking into this category, you may also want to look at OPA as well. I would assume you need all three, Cost Center Account (CCA), Profit Center Accounting(PCA) and Internal Order Accounting (OPA).
As for documentation, you may just need to experiment around, alot of FI-CO reporting can be done from these three modules. You already know that though...
    Cheers!

  • IP Exit Planning function copy data from cca to pca planning cubes

    Hello All,
I have a requirement where I have to copy the characteristics and keyfigures of CCA plan cube data to pca plan cube data. The infoobjects in CCA aggregation level are are {0amount,0costcenter,0costelement,version,0calmonth,0infoprovider} which needs to be copied to corresponding infoobjects in PCA level  {0amount,0profitcenter,0account,0version,0calmonth,0infoprovider}.
The CCA and PCA aggregation level are built on the top of the multiprovider.
I can do it using the fox coding but 0costelement cannot be mapped to 0account as these two are different fields.Since I have to copy the values of 0costelement to 0account , I was wondering how can I do it using the exit function.
As I have never used the exit function before, I was wondering if somebody can help me out with this.
By the way, I have read the forums and figured out to create a class in se24 and use interface
IF_RSPFLA_SRVTYPE_IMP_EXE and since I am generating some records , will be using the method IF_RSPLFA_SRVTYPE_IMP_EXEC~INIT_EXECUTE.
By the way , I read in the forums where there are methods/function modules which can copy data from one aggregation level to another aggregation level.Anyways, can you tell how can I loop thru the records of CCA aggregation level and copy the records to the PCA aggregation level.
