Pdf availability in alv grid

Hi gurus,
I have a doubt . Does ALV GRID supports for PDF FILE dowmload of an alv report.I mean to say that is there any icon provided on alv grid to down load the report as pdf file to local disk.I know spread sheet down works.

    Modify your fieldcatelog before calling the grid display FM. Remove data element reference (ref_fieldname) and change ddictxt, seltext_s, seltext_m and seltext_l fields to the text you want.

    We came across two processes.
    1. To download the output  to Smartform and then convert to PDF format
    2. To send the ALV output directly to spool and then convert it to PDF

       Both the ways are feasible. For conversion of ALV to PDF,
    1. Display ALV output as usual using factory method .
    2. Create a Button 'Download to PDF' in the GUI status
    3. Set the Sy-batch as 'X'.
    4. Call the Factory method for list display
    5. Catch the sy-spono
    6. Use the FM CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF  to convert alv data to PDF.
    7. Use the FM GUI_DOWNLOAD  to dowload the above PDF file

  • Excel-Export in ALV-Grid not available

    I have a strange problem with the Export-functionality within ALV Grid. The Export-options "Spreadsheet", "Word processing", "Local file" and "Send" are not available at all PC's. I don't know if this issue is related to  SAP Gui, Patches ...

    Thanks for info - I was original thinking of the "Expert mode" option in some Report Writer outputs... but that was a different issue...
    Is it user specific or PC specific?  If the former, you might like to look in table SALV_BS_ADMIN (which can be maintained via report SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN) as this can impact what the user sees in some ALV options - we were having problems a few weeks ago on an ECC5 system in this area - Note 1080608 and others explain more.

  • ALV Grid Output to PDF

    Hi All,
    I have a report which displays the output in ALV Grid. I need to create a PDF from ALV output when the user clicks on a button. Using FM 'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF' i am able to acheive this.
    But, as per my requirement if the user does any layout changes in the ALV output ( E.g. Sorting, Sub totaling ), it need to be captured and displayed in the PDF. Can you please tell me how can i get the values of changed ALV Grid Layout at the runtime?

    1) Get the Print parameters using this function GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS
    2) Set the print parameters using the statement: NEW-PAGE PRINT ON PARAMETERS print_parameters NO DIALOG.
    3) Generate the ALV Output using "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY"
    4)  NEW-PAGE PRINT OFF.
    5) Get the Spool request id from tsp01 using the user id and client
    6) Pass the Spool id to the FM: CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF
    7) Then, Use the function "GUI_DOWNLOAD" to download the generated PDF.

  • ALV Grid: Cell not available for selection

    ALV GRID.
    How can I make a cell(or an entire column) not available to be selected?

    I was able to forbid users to click on cells that has got null values by:
    a) declare the column as hotspot when you are building the fieldcatalog (fieldcatalog-key  = 'X')
    b) inside the form "user_command", after reading the data inside the internal table, use something like:
    if  wa_it_alldata-accounting_doc_nbr ne space.
    processing logic
    endif.
    wa_it_alldata would be the internal table and can be prefilled by something like:
    read data table, using index of row user clicked on
            READ TABLE it_alldata_f INTO
            wa_it_alldata INDEX rs_selfield-tabindex.

    I'm getting frustrated with a ALV issue.
    My report creates a ALV grid which I'm able to print to spool, afterwards create a PDF and finally send to a specific email adress with the PDF attached.
    What I'm wondering is, why when calling 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' I'm getting this print parameter dialog.
    Moreover calling function 'SET_PRINT_PARAMETERS' has no effect to the parameters showing in the dialog?!
    As I finally want to run this report within a scheduled job I do not want that popup.
    I now read the forum entires for half a day, tried almost everything, but without success.

    Can anybody tell me whether in ABAP Query when you execute the Query in SQ01 its shows the report in ALV Grid format. In ALV Grid format there are some standard calculation are available like

    Mean value
    Minmum

    The above calculation can be done for each column.
    My Query is it possible to put our own simple calculation
    through some coding for overall summation fields instead of this std. calculation.
    Example : Unrestricted moved Qty Summation divided by INspection lot qty summation * 100
    The output of this calculation is called First pass yield.
    This calculation i done for each line item by creating a Additional field with ABAP coding.The overall meanvalue calcualtion of this addtional fields column is not suits the customer expectation.They want the calculation to be done by the system like what i had explained in the example.

  • Page Format for landscape/legal paper for ALV Grid report

    Hi!
    I have a request to set up a particular ALV Grid report as a background job with the report output printing on legal-size paper with landscape orientation.  We currently don't have any reports set up to print on legal size paper.  What do I need to do to set this up?  We currently use X_58_170 or X_65_255 which print on letter-size paper.  I cannot seem to find a page format for landscape legal other than LEGAL which seems to be available only for SAPscript or Smart Forms.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I cannot control left and right margin in PDF. Also, it is a PDF file so eventhough somehow you are able to change left and right margin, the content does not adjust itself to fit the legal page (as it does in word or excel).

    I have added some more functionality to my report. The good thing is, the report works as it should.
    BUT, I'm not really sure, whether this is a good (correct) design. The report works the following way:
    1. Read planning data form text file into internal table
    2. Display the internal table
    3. Convert the data and display the converted result
    4. Post the converted data to the system
    5. Display log with messages
    The main thing is, I would like to know, do i really need two dynros, to display the two different internal tables or is it possible just to use one ALV-Grid? I was not able to find another solution. Any comment or help to the report is appreciated.

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement in which I need to display ALV GRID display and in its tool bar 4 butons are required. In the same view down to alv display i want to develop a tabstrip and its functionalities.I have designed classic alv using SALV_WD_TABLE component. I want a good GRID Display, not like flat field names that comes in list display, looking for bulged fields(like what comes for ALV GRID in normal abap)  display with print version etc hidden and buttons at the top of ALV.  Kindly help

    Well Web Dynpro is generally output in HTML so the output formatting is never going to quite look like a desktop application (which is the case with the ALV Grid).  You have very little control over the look of the column headers.  In fact you can only manipulate what is available via the Portal Theme. 
    There is a new Tradeshow Plus theme available in NetWeaver 7.01 which uses a gradiant background for the column headers.  This gives them a little more depth:

    The other option is next year when NetWeaver Business Client version 3.0 comes out, you will be able to render Web Dynpro applications using the NWBC Smart Client Rendering.  This will render Web Dynpro applications using desktop libraries instead of HTML/Browser. This gives Web Dynpro a more SAPGUI/Desktop appears of course.
