PDF binary in backend, show in WDJ interactive form

Hello,
I have a backend system, supplying a PDF in binary format "Xstring".
I want to show it in Web Dynpro Java, using an Interactive Form.
I'm trying to bind the binary, to the pdfSource, but a error comes up.
What is the problem?

Print Preview in RFx does not show new Adobe Interactive Form

Hello Experts,
I am trying to assign a standard Adobe Interactive form as the output form for SRM RFQ. I have carried out the following steps in customising under "Define Actions for Document Output".
- Selected bid invitation Action Profile = BBP_PD_BID
- Go to "Processing Types"
- Create a new Processing Type called "External Communication"
- Set the following values to the new processing type:
     - Form Name = BBP_BID_INV_ADB
     - Form Type = P PDF-Based Forms
     - Format = BBP_BID_INV_ADB_MAI
     - Personalization Type = 5 - Recipeient Variable Replacement
- Save Changes
My problem is that when I go to into the BID (RFx) and click "Print Preview" it picks up the standard Smartform, not the new Adobe form I have added as required.
Please can you advise of any additional config settings or other steps required to ensure that the Adobe Form is called when I click "Print Preview"?
We are on SRM 7.0.

FormsCentral could not import the PDF document because it does not contain interactive form fields. You need to add fields to your PDF using Adobe Acrobat and import again

Adobe FormsCentral can't import "flat form" (one that isn't fillable) and convert it to a fillable form. You would need to use Acrobat to add fillable fields to the PDF. If you don't have Acrobat, please feel free to give it a try. You can download a free 30-day trial from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

How to store adobe Interactive form PDF in archive link?

Hi everybody,
I had create a WebDybpro Abap that contain an Adobe Interactive Form, now I must store this Interactive Form into Archive Link like a PDF document.
I succeeded to save the PDF document on the archive link but after this operation, when I open this document saved, it doesn't show me the data but only the Interactive Form structure. The only data that file PDF saves are those I passed to Interactive Form during at the event initialization, but it lose all others datas that I inserted on the Interactive Form before to save.
There is one mode to save also these datas or I can store only data that I load at the initialization event?

I am new to this. I did some Rnd on it and found that it can be achieved using HRFORM_HRF02 Business Add-In in the SET_ARCHIVE_INDEX method.

Having trouble having both an interactive form and an interactive page curl in a pdf?

Okay, so I need an interactive pdf with a page curl AND an interactive form. I exported my Indesign file as a swf file with the interactive page curl, (which the interactive form doesn't work on), then I imported the swf file back into Indesign, opened the media tab and chose the option to 'open file on current page' so that when I open the pdf it doesn't ask me to activate the file before use, and then export as an interactive pdf. the interactive page curl works perfectly, but the form doesn't work. How do I put an Indesign form into my interactive pdf?

If I understand correctly, you are calling the addInstance() on click of the button that you placed in your form and when you add more pages using this button and save the fikle and open it again, the newly added instances are not displayed in the form. Am I right?
If this is the scenario, the you need to store the value of the forms created using this button and call the same addInstance() method in the initialize event of your form. I.e place the same code that is there in click event of the button inside the Initialize event of the form with the number that we have saved in some hidden field.

Web Service is not triggering using Adobe Interactive Form

Hello Experts,
I know this is a common topic now , but the problem I am facing, no thread help me to solve that.
Problem:--
My requirement is to create an adobe form , in which
-> an input field is needed,and some description is needed.
I used button to trigger my webservice.
Here , I want to clear that , I have made a proper WEB SERVICE using Remote Enabled FM.
My web service is working fine as I have tested from WS NAVIGATOR(Note: http://<source>:<port>/wsnavigator).
In Adobe Form (SFP), I have made a new Data connection using WebService WSDL.
All Request and Response parameters are availabe in Data View palletes of Form.
Button that is available from data connection is used.
I have used Button as an Execute button , under execute tab in connection , I had given DATA CONNECTION name .
But above things not worked so ,
I also tried with Regular Button , and under click written Javascript/FormCalc which is:--

Interactive Form in SAP NetWeaver

Hi SDN,
I would want to know if it is possible to create non-interactive pdf in NetWeaver.
If I use interactive form in web dynpro java I have error at running application...
The exception in the dump is:

I not have Reader Right Credential and
I do not have interest to create interactive form but I want to create a print based forms on web dynpro java from NetWeaver.

Is is possible. But you have to install Reader Right Credential on your WebAS (J2EE) server.
SAP customers/partners can request credential for free via Service Marketplace.
Only productive usage of self-developed of modified forms in interactive scenarios requires additional fees.

Unable to test Adobe interactive form from webdynpro

This is the out put i get when i test run the report 'FP_TEST_IA_01'.As suggested in SAP NOTE : 999998
ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: Could not retrieve a password for credential: ReaderRights(200.101).
Actually i was trying my first Adobe interactive form with webdynpro and when i tested it i got this message.
The following error text was processed in the system NED : WebDynpro Exception: The ADS call has failed. You can find information about the cause in the error.pdf on the application server
Does Adobe interactive form requires Java stack to be active??
Or is it only a configuration issue in ADS???
What all should i take care in order to successfully run an adobe interactive form???

Web Dynpro render configuration for Adobe Interactive Forms

Is there any possibility to check rendering configuration for Web Dynpro application? I built web dynpro application which shows simple Adobe Interactive Form. In Sap Adobe LiveCycle Designer all buttons of Interactive Form are working (JavaScript) but in the form showed by web dynpro application in IE buttons have no action. Do You know what is the cause or where to search?

Interactive PDF - Buttons don't show on mobile/ipad

Hello!
I'm creating an ebook. I have two issues I need help with regarding buttons and interactivity.
1) How do I link an image to a later page?
For example, I'm introducing contributors--but want to offer readers the ability to fast track to their bio page (at the end of the document) and weblinks...
2) Why are my interactive buttons not showing up on mobile or ipad?
I'm trying to include social icons that link to contributors social channels. Why do these show up and work in Adobe Acrobat Pro--but not on my iphone and ipad?

PdfSource of InteractiveForm UI element should be populated with pdf binary

I need some help here...
I have a Web Dynpro Java Application that retrieves data from R/3 and I want to (only) display that data using Adobe. I've set the "mode" property of the UI Element as "usePdf" and I have bound the pdfSource property to a binary type in the context, but as I'm about to display the PDF I get the following exception: (the important part of it)
Caused by: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: pdfSource of InteractiveForm UI element should be populated with pdf binary content in USE_PDF mode
Do you have any idea of what is going on?. Is it the right scenario?
Should I use generatePdf instead? if that's the case then get Credentials for that?. Would this have any additional cost?

In your szenario you have to give the PDF as binary content into this content variable. You can do that for example by reading a PDF File as a binary stream and store it into this content variable.
Then you can use the Interactive Form UI Element to show this PDF.
But from what I understand, its not exactly what you want? You want to show some data that you read from R/3 and display it in an interactive form?
What you have to do is, to edit your Interactive form, create the Bindings etc. (see tutorials) and set the mode to "modify PDF". Then the PDF will show the read data for you.

I call my custom fm to process some data return me an itab which consist of lines of pdf binary data. I moved it to another itab which is lines of hexadecimal text. I have a big problem displaying my lt_xstring below on ineractive form. Either I get type not compatible or acess via null object reference error issues. Any idea anyone???

Hi Siong,
If you are using web dynpro than whatever the values presents in the context will be displayed in the Form.
in case of web dynpro you need to to perform any parsing or transformation.
Just make sure than you are properly mapping the web dynpro context and Pdf context.
check your web dynpro component, if you get the correct values in context, than these values will be displayed in fore also.
